Actor Josh Brolin Says His Anus Is Sunburned After Trying ‘Perineum Sunning’

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:30 PM PST

Actor Josh Brolin says that his anus is now sunburned after trying out the latest fad known as "perineum sunning," which involves sunbathing one's nether regions. "I don't know who the f*ck thought of this stupid sh!t," said the actor, expressing his dismay over his burned anus.

"Tried this perineum sunning that I've been hearing about and my suggestion is DO NOT do it as long as I did," said Josh Brolin on his Instagram account over the weekend. "My pucker hole is crazy burned and I was going to spend the day shopping with my family and instead I'm icing and using aloe and burn creams because of the severity of the pain."

Baltimore Mayor Warns Of Body "Snatching" White Van Targeting Young Girls To Sell Their Organs

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 07:00 PM PST

Seriously WTF!

We tend to report on how Baltimore City's socio-economic crisis is sending the region into a collapse. Now there's a new report that appears to be literally from a third world country!

Baltimore Mayor Bernard C. "Jack" Young warned in an interview this week with WBAL News' Vanessa Herring that a white van has been running around the city targeting young girls for their organs, reported The Baltimore Sun.
"We're getting reports of somebody in a white van trying to snatch up young girls for human trafficking and for selling body parts, I'm told. So we have to be careful because there's so much evil going on, not just in the city of Baltimore, but around the country," Young said. "It's all over Facebook."

Buttigieg Says Illegal Aliens ‘Subsidizing Everybody Else’

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 06:30 PM PST

Illegal migrants are subsidizing Americans, Pete Buttigieg told a December 1 meeting hosted by progressives in North Carolina.

"The uncomfortable reality is that undocumented folks are, in many ways, like Social Security, subsidizing everybody else," Buttigieg told Rev. William Barber, a progressive activist in North Carolina. Buttigieg was at the North Carolina event to raise his abysmal poll ratings among black Americans.

Buttigieg's dismissive comments about Americans echo the government-centric view of progressives, who tend to value Americans and illegal aliens by their payments into federal, state, and local tax programs.

But his glib claim ignores the vast economic and civic costs that illegal migration imposes on ordinary Americans — and the huge economic subsidy that is gained by wealthy investors from the inflow of cheap immigrant labor.

Schiff Impeachment Report Offers Nothing But Predetermined Conclusion

"Funny: The dueling Republican and Democratic reports on the findings of the House Intelligence Committee hearings have one big thing in common: Neither offers hard evidence that President Trump committed a single impeachable offense. Yes, Rep. Adam Schiff, who helmed the hearings, says otherwise. But he's been seeing 'more than circumstantial evidence' against Trump for three years now, since the early days of the 'collusion' probe," the New York Post editorial board writes.

"The GOP report accurately noted that Schiff only created a 'misleading public narrative' based on 'hearsay, presumption and emotion': Not one witness testified to the clear 'quid pro quo' that Democrats advertised would be exposed, nor to the 'bribery' they later talked of."

"House Democrats do not seem to grasp that they cannot legitimize such an illegitimate process halfway through. This process has been unfair for the president and the Republicans from the start, with Democrats ignoring the historical precedents outlined in the Clinton and Nixon impeachments. When it comes to Trump, Democrats have created a whole new set of rules," Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) writes in USA Today.
"'No one is above the law,' Speaker Nancy Pelosi insists. Now get ready for the switch: At the hearing, Democrats and their hand-picked legal experts will argue that a president can be impeached even if he hasn't broken a law. Suddenly, impeachment isn't about upholding the rule of law. Why the switch? Because Dems don't have the goods to show Trump has committed a crime," Betsy McCaughey writes in the New York Post.
"Most Americans have no idea what a health care service costs before they get it. If we expect to lower health care costs, that must change." That's why in June, President Trump signed an order to eliminate barriers to price and quality transparency to protect American patients, CMS Administrator Seema Verma writes in the Chicago Tribune.
"Between impeachment, all the hearings and testimonies which have essentially turned Congress into a TV courtroom, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's stall tactics which have prevented Congress from taking up key priorities, partisan politics has once again taken over, and things in Washington are not getting done"—including the important U.S.–Mexico–Canada trade deal to modernize NAFTA, writes Sarah Chamberlain, CEO of the Republican Main Street Partnership, in The Washington Times.

Lefty Pundits Rage At Whiteness Of Democrats’ 2020 Candidates

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 05:00 PM PST

The skin color of Democrat presidential frontrunners moved to the forefront of discussion among left-of-center pundits after Democrat California Sen. Kamala Harris dropped out of the race Tuesday.

Harris's announcement means the only candidates who have qualified for the next Democrat debate are white, a fact that caused chagrin among media figures and liberal activists.

"Obviously I'm no centrist but it's downright effed up that smart, compelling, *very* experienced, centrist Democrat candidates of color are floundering while a smart but wildly inexperienced, centrist white mayor of teeny tiny city is surging," liberal writer Sally Kohn wrote in a tweet. "Bad look, Democrats."

Left-wing commentator Lauren Duca implied that Democrats have a racism problem, as evidenced by Harris's failed campaign. "White supremacy is not just a Fox News problem, folks," she charged.

"It's really f__d up that straight white male billionaires (plural) are going to qualify for the next debate while Kamala Harris is leaving the race. Like, immensely," wrote Adam Peck, a staffer at the left-wing Center for American Progress.

Kobach: Democrats Now ‘Say Out Loud’ Intent to Turn America Blue by Immigration

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 04:30 PM PST

Former Kansas Secretary of State and United States Senate candidate Kris Kobach says the political left is now quite honest about their long-held intent to turn the nation blue through mass legal immigration.

During an exclusive interview with host Alex Marlow on SiriusXM Patriot's Breitbart News Daily, Kobach said in the past Democrats would only talk behind closed doors about their efforts to transform the nation state-by-state through immigration, but that today they are honest about the plan.

In states like Virginia — where Democrats now control all of state government — the foreign-born population has grown more than 250 percent since 1990. In 1990, Virginia was home to less than 312,000 foreign-born residents. Today, there are close to 1.1 million, almost four times what the population was three decades before.

Rush Limbaugh producer 'Bo Snerdley' founds new PAC for black conservatives

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 04:00 PM PST

He is well-known on the air waves as "Bo Snerdley," the senior producer for Rush Limbaugh's daily talk radio show, heard by an audience of 14 million. His real name is James Golden, however — and he is now on a mission to "make Black Americans Republican again."

With fellow black conservative Autry Pruitt, Mr. Golden has founded New Journey PAC, a political action committee that promotes conservative values among black Americans — and everyone else for that matter. The organization includes MAGA.BLACK, a new online destination for one and all, they say.

"For 80 years, the Democratic Party has taken the black vote for granted. Under the leadership of President Trump, Black-Americans enjoyed the lowest unemployment rate ever recorded. The Trump approach has produced an economy that works for all Americans, yet Democrats are promising more of the same — votes for crumbs. It is simply not enough to stand on the sidelines and hope for the best," the two founders say in their mission statement.

Prostate cancer patients who eat high-fat diets and red meat are four times more likely to die

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 03:30 PM PST

Men who eat steaks, burgers, and pizza have a higher risk of prostate cancer than their vegan peers, a new study claims.

In fact, those diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer may be able to delay or even prevent the disease from progressing using diet alone.

That's according to researchers at McGill University, who found that a gene involved in progressing prostate cancer (known as MYC) is fueled by fatty foods and red meat.

Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention Reports November Success Through Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 02:30 PM PST

Editor's note: Salisbury is at the very bottom of the list.
ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP) today announced another successful month for the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN). During the month of November, law enforcement in counties across Maryland worked with other partners in order to seize narcotics, keep weapons out of the hands of violent repeat offenders, and secure convictions.
MCIN is a criminal justice strategy funded by the Hogan administration through the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention. Announced by Governor Hogan in 2017, the MCIN strategy encourages local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to collaborate and share information to target, disrupt, and dismantle gangs as well as criminal organizations involved in drug, firearm, and human trafficking operations.
"The members of the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network understand that working together is vitally important to make Maryland's communities safer," said Glenn Fueston, Executive Director of the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention. "Collaboration between local, state, and federal partners is the reason Governor Larry Hogan's initiative has disrupted and dismantled more than 100 gangs, 400 drug trafficking organizations, and dozens more criminal organizations involved in firearms and human trafficking."

Annapolis MCIN
On November 22, the Annapolis Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Annapolis Special Emergency Team, executed a search and seizure warrant on a home on Newtowne Drive while investigating illegal drug sales. Officers seized more than $600 in cash and $29,000 in illegal drugs, including:
  •  69.9 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  •  214.6 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl
  • 56 Suboxone strips
  • Drug paraphernalia
Officers arrested a 29-year-old man from Annapolis inside the home. He is being held without bond on possession with intent to distribute, and 14 other charges.
Anne Arundel County MCIN
  1. Anne Arundel County's Gang and Firearms Investigation Unit, working with the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit executed a warrant at a home in Brooklyn Park. Inside of the home, police found:
  • A loaded handgun
  • Suspected marijuana
  • Drug paraphernalia
Investigators say that the man arrested is prohibited from having a firearm. He is facing drug and weapons charges. A woman at the location was arrested for an active warrant.
  2. November 8 and 9, Anne Arundel County Police conducted a series of traffic stops in Glen Burnie. Searches of vehicles involved in those traffic stops led to four arrests for firearm or drug violations. Officers recovered:
  • 38 Oxycodone tablets
  • More than 23 grams of suspected marijuna
  • Two loaded handguns
  • Drug paraphernalia
  3. November 12, Anne Arundel County Officers responded to a call at the Walgreens on Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie and found a suspect getting into a vehicle. Detectives stopped the vehicle a short distance away, seizing 144 oxycodone pills, and more than $4,000 in cash from the suspect. Detectives executed a search warrant for the suspect's home, and recovered shotgun shells and other ammunition. The suspect is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. He is charged with a number of drug and weapons violations.
  4. The Anne Arundel County Gang and Firearms Investigation Unit, with the assistance of the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a home in Brooklyn. Police identified the suspect as an associate of the Black Guerrilla Family street gang. Inside the home, police found:
  • A loaded handgun, ammunition
  • A small amount of suspected marijuana
  • Drug paraphernalia
The suspect is prohibited from possessing a firearm. A woman inside the home was arrested for an active warrant.
Cecil County MCIN
The Cecil County Sheriff's Office conducted surveillance operations and traffic stops in connection with reported criminal activity in Elkton and North East. Deputies made three drug arrests and three warrant arrests. Deputies seized:
  • 25 bags of heroin/fentanyl
  • Eight grams of crack cocaine
  • Two grams of powder cocaine
  • Drug paraphernalia
Cumberland MCIN
November 21, the Cumberland MCIN coalition initiated an operation that led to the seizure of:
  • 25 grams of marijuana
  • 21 grams of crack cocaine
  • Heroin
  • Xanax
  • Three handguns
A suspect who is a member of the Black Guerilla Family gang is being held without bond. Another person is charged with possession with intent to distribute.
Montgomery County MCIN
A 25-year-old man from Prince George's County will spend 15 years in federal prison and another 5 years on supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, as well as using, carrying, brandishing, and discharging a firearm in connection with drug trafficking.
According to the plea, the suspect conspired with others to distribute crystal methamphetamine to individuals in and around Maryland from 2016 to November 2018. Prosecutors say the suspect fired a 9mm semi-automatic pistol at a home in Montgomery County on two occasions, and sent threatening messages over social media for a person's failure to pay a drug debt. The pistol was recovered, along with 19 grams of crystal methamphetamine during the suspect's arrest by Montgomery County Police in 2018. The case was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland.
Salisbury MCIN
The Maryland State Police Gang and Gun Enforcement Units collaborated with the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force, Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force, Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Wicomico County State's Attorney Office, Salisbury Police Department, Delmar Police Department, and Fruitland Police Department on two operations targeting criminal activity and criminal organizations in Wicomico County. Authorities focused on controlled dangerous substances, firearms violations, fugitive apprehension, and crimes of violence.
The first operation resulted in seven drug arrests, five warrant arrests, and three other criminal arrests. The second operation was focused on enforcement and information gathering in order to close existing investigations and develop leads for future investigations. During "Operation Suspended in Time", the Salisbury Police Department received fewer calls for service related to crimes of violence within the Salisbury city limits, and no crimes of violence were observed during the operation in targeted high crime areas in Wicomico County.  The second operation yielded six warrant arrests.
All warrant services included Handle with Care Maryland notifications when a child was present, and any subject contacted during operations believed to have a substance abuse issue was provided with local resources addressing addiction.

Trump Administration to Close Food Stamp Eligibility Loopholes for Able-Bodied Adults

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 02:00 PM PST

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue is expected to announce a finalized rule Wednesday to promote self-sufficiency for able-bodied adults without children who receive food stamps.

The rule aims to close loopholes used by states that frequently grant broad exemptions for recipients to remain on food stamps longer without actively seeking a job or work training.

The Department of Agriculture's final rule on food stamps—formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program—would affect able-bodied adults between the ages of 18 and 49 who do not have dependents. The rule wouldn't apply to parents with minor children, the elderly, or disabled people.

The Agriculture Department notes that with the lowest unemployment rate in more than 50 years, "work-capable" Americans can find employment more easily. The unemployment rate is currently 3.6% with 7 million job openings in the United States, according to the Labor Department.

Sharpton: Kamala Held to Higher Standard Because She Is a Black Woman

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 01:00 PM PST

On Tuesday's broadcast of MSNBC's "Deadline," network host Al Sharpton argued Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) had to drop out of the 2020 presidential campaign in part because of racism and sexism.

Sharpton said, "First of all, I think that she ran a great race. I think that she is a great candidate."

He continued, "But she is dealing with an environment where you have for the first time, that you have these kind of rules that are different."

Host Nicolle Wallace asked, "What rules?"

Sharpton said, "Certain amount of money, certain amount of polling to be in the debates. And when you have a Tom Steyer who is fine, raised great issues, but this woman is a U.S. senator, was attorney general of the state and was a district attorney. Steyer could come in and buy commercials and up his polling. And I think that the real problem the Democrats are going to have is the next debate, you have no black on that stage. The Democrat Party cannot have a stage where black voters do not see themselves reflected."

St. Buttigieg Clings to Bible as He Looks for Votes in South Carolina

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 12:30 PM PST

Mayor Pete Buttigieg continues emphasizing that he is a Bible-believing Christian, attempting to earn the support of Democrats in South Carolina.

The South Bend mayor released an ad in South Carolina on Monday, emphasizing his citation of Scripture during his November speech at the Iowa Democrats Liberty and Justice dinner.

"In our White House, you won't have to shake your head and ask yourself, 'Whatever happened to, 'I was hungry and you fed me; I was a stranger and you welcomed me?'" Buttigieg says in the ad footage, citing Matthew 25:35.

Since he entered the race, Buttigieg has used social teachings in the Bible to shame Republicans and justify his positions on amnesty for illegal immigrants and abortion.

"Jesus speaks so often in hyperbole and parable, in mysterious code, that, in my experience, there's simply no way that a literal understanding of Scripture can fit into the Bible that I find in my hands," he said in a November interview with Rolling Stone.

'Annual holiday tradition': Stephanie Grisham slams media for criticizing 'all that the First Lady does'

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 12:00 PM PST

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham criticized the media for what she described as a pattern of attacks directed at first lady Melania Trump during the holiday season.

The remarks stem from fashion pieces in the Washington Post that were critical of Trump's outfit and her Christmas decorations around the White House.

"It has become an annual holiday tradition for the media to attack all that the First Lady does. If this was a Democratic Administration, I suspect Mrs. Trump and her work would be featured positively in every mainstream news outlet," Grisham told Brian Flood of Fox News in response to the Washington Post's story.

Drug Cartels Invade Quiet Mexican Town Packed With Americans

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 10:30 AM PST

The failures of the nationalist Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) are starting to be realized in a huge way.

First, the economy is decelerating, second, murders across the country are hitting record highs, and third, there are small towns filled with Americans that cartels are now invading.

Mexico's economy entered a recession in 1H19, AMLO promised to "Make Mexico Great Again," though an economic downturn has unfolded and has derailed his beautiful plans of revitalization.

An imploding economy comes at a time of worsening cartel wars and record homicides, a story we've been documenting for the past five years. So far this year, 28,741 people have been killed as the socio-economic crisis deepens.

President Trump is ready to designate Mexican drug cartels as terrorist groups, and this will one day allow the US military to fight drug cartels on Mexican soil.

Job discrimination: 1 in 5 won’t hire Trump supporters

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 09:45 AM PST

It's not legal in most cases, and certainly not right, but 1 in 5 left-leaning bosses "will not hire" supporters of President Trump, and huge majorities of hiring managers want to know the positions job candidates have on highly controversial issues including race and immigration, according to a sweeping new survey.

What's more, job seekers reluctant to cough up their views and positions in interviews can't hide them because nearly all employers sift through social media posts, mostly Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, of those they are considering for jobs.

"Workplace discrimination is a real and pressing issue, and candidates get their applications sidelined or overlooked due to these factors all the time," according to the survey from Airtasker provided exclusively to Secrets.

Warren: I’ll Be ‘Last American President Elected By The Electoral College’

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 09:30 AM PST

On Monday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren reiterated her view that the Electoral College should be abolished and U.S. presidents should be elected by popular vote. "My goal is to get elected—but I plan to be the last American president to be elected by the Electoral College. I want my second term to be elected by direct vote," she tweeted.

In the accompanying video clip, she said, "Call me old fashioned, but I think the person who gets the most votes should win."

Warren has a curious idea of what counts as "old fashioned," since her position on the Electoral College puts her at odds with the decidedly old fashioned Founding Fathers, who rightly worried about what James Madison called the "tyranny of the majority."

North Korea: ‘Entirely up to the U.S. What Christmas Gift It Will Select to Get’

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 09:15 AM PST

A high-ranking North Korean official called dialogue with the United States a "foolish trick" in remarks Tuesday and warned Washington that it is "entirely up to the U.S. what kind of Christmas gift" North Korea will send it.

The communist regime's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) carried the full comments from Ri Thae Song, vice foreign minister for American affairs. In them, Ri protested that North Korea "has heard more than enough dialogue rhetoric" from the United States and would no longer move forward with talks, urging Washington to instead consider "acting in response to the measures taken by the DPRK [North Korea]."

While Ri did not specify what actions Pyongyang wished to see America take, North Korean officials regularly demand that the United States lift the extensive sanctions placed on their economy and help lift the global sanctions placed on it by the United Nations.

Conservative Media Isn’t ‘Stoking’ The Culture War, It’s The Left

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 09:00 AM PST

A recent Voxsplainer aimed at breaking down the "War Against Thanksgiving" to bespectacled urbanites referred, mostly in passing, to the "culture war-stoking conservative media." This is adorable, and for two particular reasons.

First, because its matter-of-fact presentation demonstrates how deeply this notion is embedded as conventional wisdom on the center-left. Second, because it's so obviously stupid.

Of course, it's the Fox-guzzling conservative rubes stoking the culture war, those reactionary pitchfork wielders who burn Howard Zinn books and listen to Blake Shelton sing about trucks. Or perhaps it's the fault of cynical Beltway operators who exploit the anxieties of Flyover simpletons for profit and power.

Betsy DeVos Suggests Federal Student Aid Should Be A ‘Standalone’ Entity

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:30 AM PST

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos delivered prepared remarks at a training conference for Federal Student Aid (FSA). FSA, bureaucratically housed within the U.S. Department of Education (DOE), is the office responsible for doling out "more than $120 billion a year in grants, work-study funds, and low-interest loans to approximately 13 million students," according to the DOE's website. According to the site, more than 21 million students last year applied for federal student aid in some form. FSA dates back to 1965, when its mission was established by the Higher Education Act.

DeVos suggested that FSA be bureaucratically restructured as a "standalone government corporation":

"One has to wonder: Why isn't FSA a standalone government corporation, run by a professional, expert, and apolitical Board of Governors?"

Structural reform at the FSA — and re-evaluating how the federal government entangles itself in the student loan enterprise, more generally — ought to be music to the ears of conservatives.

Conservatives routinely assail the perverse incentive structures that lead many quixotic teens to take out large-scale loans en route to all-too predictable and ubiquitous leftist indoctrination on the university campus. Here is how Inez Feltscher Stepman articulated the sentiment earlier this year for the Claremont Institute's American Mind site:

"William F. Buckley wrote God and Man at Yale seven decades ago. Yet the university system still enjoys full public financial backing as though it had not degenerated from the elevated institution of yesteryear into an archipelago of training camps for Leftist activism. Whether Democrats or Republicans are in charge, Congress continues to increase its student loan investments, the lifeblood that has enabled insane cost increases well above inflation rates, as well as billions in direct grants to universities. …"

Trump's opponents keep shifting their position on Ukraine's 2016 interference

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:00 AM PST

It would be really helpful for Democrats and liberals in the national media to get their story straight in the debate over whether Ukraine interfered in the 2016 election. Right now, they have four different and contradictory stories, and that makes it all but impossible to, you know, have an actual debate.

Their initial position was to deny that any meddling by Ukraine took place at all. The problem with that is the New York Times broke the story in 2016 that an entire Ukrainian government agency was investigating Paul Manafort, who at the time was serving as Trump's campaign chairman.

Back then, the paper reported that Ukraine's "newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau," which worked in conjunction with America's FBI, was in possession of a mysterious, handwritten diary that showed Manafort was receiving millions of dollars in payments from one of the country's pro-Russian politicians. "Investigators assert," the Times reported, "that the disbursements were part of an illegal off-the-books system whose recipients also included election officials."

Los Angeles Police testing non-lethal device capable of detaining people from up to 25 feet away

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 07:30 AM PST

The Los Angeles Police Department will begin testing a device designed to snare a person from a distance, giving officers an alternative to firing a Taser or a gun, CBS Los Angeles reports. The device, known as the BolaWrap 100, fires a Kevlar cord that wraps around a person's torso and legs from up to 25 feet away.

Manufactured by Las Vegas-based Wrap Technologies, the handheld device emits a gunshot-type noise when it deploys the tether, which has barbs attached that can create a "very small puncture" when the tether wraps around a person, according to Wrap COO and retired assistant L.A. County Sheriff Mike Rothans.

Frequent LAPD critics who attend Police Commission meetings criticized the tool, including Black Lives Matter member Adam Smith, who argued the department would probably deploy the device mostly in minority communities, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Prestigious public high school stages walkout to protest that school is 50% white

Students from one of the most selective New York City public high schools, which is half white, staged a walkout to advocate for more diversity in the city's schools.

About 300 students at the prestigious Beacon High School walked out of class on Monday to demonstrate against the school's stringent admissions standards, according to the New York Times. They believe that rigid screening procedures have contributed to segregation in the school system.

"The abundance of privilege in our school is so universal that it usually goes unquestioned and unnoticed," said Toby Paperno, a white student at the school.

During the protest, students chanted slogans such as "end Jim Crow" and "education is a right, not just for the rich and white."

Nunes sues CNN over 'demonstrably false' Ukraine report

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 06:30 AM PST

Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, has filed a $435 million defamation suit against CNN over a story that alleged Nunes met with a fired Ukrainian prosecutor in an effort to dig up dirt on Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

The story — "Giuliani associate willing to tell Congress Nunes met with ex-Ukrainian official to get dirt on Biden" — was published Nov. 22. It was based on the words of Joseph Bondy, the attorney for Ukrainian-born Lev Parnas, who worked closely with Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani in pursuing allegations of Ukrainian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election as well as allegations of corruption in Ukraine involving Biden's son Hunter. Parnas is currently under indictment on campaign finance charges.

CNN reported that Bondy said Parnas was "willing to tell Congress" that in December 2018, Nunes traveled to Vienna to meet with Viktor Shokin, the top Ukrainian prosecutor who was famously fired in 2016 under pressure from the United States, represented by Biden, who said Shokin did not do enough to prosecute corruption in Ukraine. CNN cited congressional travel records showing Nunes and a few aides traveled to Europe between Nov. 30 and Dec. 3, 2018.

Turns out Schiff hired whistleblower's best buddy right after that famous phone call

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 06:15 AM PST

House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff hired whistleblower Eric Ciaramella's best buddy, NSC aide Sean Misko, one day after that famous Ukraine phone call that started it all.

The Washington Examiner's Kerry Picket did some impressive digging and just came out with this:

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff hired a former National Security Council aide who worked with alleged Ukraine whistleblower Eric Ciaramella at the NSC during the Obama and Trump administrations the day after the phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

It was previously reported by the Washington Examiner that public records indicated Sean Misko, 37, started work on Schiff's committee in August as a professional staff member. A specific start date was not available until this week, when the latest congressional quarterly disbursements were released.

The new records show that Misko's official hire date was July 26.

Misko was the director for the Gulf States at the NSC between 2015 until the first half of 2018. The Washington Examiner has established that the whistleblower is a CIA officer who was on the NSC during the Obama administration and worked on Ukrainian issues with Joe Biden, the 2020 Democratic candidate, when he was vice president.

Ciaramella, 33, is a career CIA analyst and was the Ukraine director on the NSC from 2016 until the summer of 2017. In October 2016, he was Biden's guest at a State Department banquet.

Picket reported earlier that the two of them were a-hole buddies, "bro-like" in their extended friendship, united together in all things anti-Trump.

Nadler: Trump's participation in impeachment hearings has been a 'priority' from 'the outset'

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 06:00 AM PST

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler criticized President Trump's decision not to testify in Wednesday's public impeachment hearing, saying his participation "has been a priority for the House from the outset."

The committee will hold a hearing featuring four constitutional scholars who will provide their viewpoints on impeaching Trump for abuse of power, obstruction of Congress, and other offenses related to his effort to get Ukraine government officials to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.

The hearing provides Trump or White House counsel the first chance to participate and defend the president against allegations that Democrats have been investigating for weeks.

Cartel Gunmen Crossed into Texas Before Deadly Attack That Killed 22

The Governor of Coahuila, a Mexican state bordering Texas, revealed that approximately 150 cartel gunmen illegally snuck into Texas through dirt roads and the border river as they made their way to the Mexican town of Villa Union for an hours-long shootout that killed 23 individuals–including four cops and two firefighters.

Coahuila Governor Miguel Angel Riquelme revealed that state authorities arrested two gunmen from the Cartel Del Noreste (CDN) faction of Los Zetas who disclosed their convoy consisted of approximately 25 SUVs carrying at least six shooters apiece, Zocalo reported. The gunmen took various dirt roads as they made their way to Villa Union, where they fired repeatedly at the city hall building, torched police cars, and then engaged authorities in a fierce gun battle.

In a series of statements made by Riquelme, the politician claimed that as the gunmen traveled through dirt roads from the border city of Nuevo Laredo, they planned to burn buildings and terrorize the community. According to El Norte, the publication spoke with a government spokesman who confirmed the information from the captured gunmen who said the convoy briefly crossed into Texas before engaging in targets back in Mexico.
