On December 5, 2019, Breitbart News reported 23 counties had declared Second Amendment Sanctuary status, and numerous others were poised to make declarations at that time. CNN reports the figure at over 40, citing a running tally of declarations complied by Gun Rights Watch. Posted: 11 Dec 2019 07:30 PM PST House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters and other liberal chairmen announced their Articles of Impeachment against President Trump on Tuesday morning. — Abuse of Power — Obstruction of Congress That's all they could come up with. Serial liar Adam Schiff accused President Trump of cheating to win the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton. "The president's misconduct goes to the heart of whether we can conduct a free and fair election in 2020…Despite everything we have uncovered, the president's misconduct continues to this day, unapologetically and right now," Schiff said Tuesday morning. Hillary Clinton cheered the news and called President Trump the "occupant of the Oval Office." "We must defend our democracy, and the painful truth is that the occupant of the Oval Office is waging war against it," Hillary said in a tweet Tuesday. More
Posted: 11 Dec 2019 07:00 PM PST Last month, a DNA test confirmed that Hunter Biden is the father of a child born in August 2018. The mother, Luden Roberts, reportedly worked at Mpire Gentlemen's Club in Washington, D.C., where Biden frequented. That's how the two allegedly met. Roberts has, understandably, gone after Biden for child support, health care and legal fees. Biden filed a motion in the Arkansas Circuit Court of Independence for a protective order to shield his financial records from being made public a few weeks ago. A judge demanded both Roberts and Biden hand over five years worth of financial records, meaning he has to reveal his position at the Ukrainian gas company Burisma and just how much money they paid him, Daily Mail reported. It has been estimated that he was paid anywhere between $50,000 to $83,000 a month to sit on Burisma's board, despite having no natural energy experience. The judge presiding over the case originally wanted only three years of financial records but ultimately said he needed five years of records to determine how much child support Biden needs to cough up. IG Report Proves Democrats Were Wrong, and Nunes Right, About FISA Warrant Posted: 11 Dec 2019 06:30 PM PST The Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General (IG)'s report Monday on the FBI's use of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants found that the agency misled the FISA court, though not due to political bias. It also found that the decision to initiate an investigation into Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign was adequately founded — although Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham disagree. Both Republicans and Democrats claimed that the report corroborated their respective political narratives. Republicans said that President Trump's rights had been abused, and Democrats said no political bias was shown. In that sense, the report offered a political draw. But in one key respect, it came down heavily on the side of the Republicans — and against the Democrats: as Breitbart News' Kristina Wong reported, it vindicated Republican concerns about abuse of the FISA process. More than that, it refuted the central claims that Democrats made in 2018, when they issued a memo in response to then-House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), who had issued a four-page memo raising concerns about "the legitimacy and legality" of the FBI's approaches to the FISA court, and suggesting "a troubling breakdown of legal processes established to protect the American people from abuses related to the FISA process." The Democrats' memo made several factual assertions, many of which were partly or fully refuted in the IG report:

"Keeping Marylanders safe is my responsibility, and I'm going to keep providing the City with all the state and federal assistance and backup we possibly can in order to attack this violent crime crisis from all directions with everything we've got," said Governor Hogan. "But I'm also going to keep holding City leaders accountable and ensure that we are working together and using every tool and resource at our disposal to track down, arrest, convict, and bring these violent criminals to justice. The time has come for Baltimore City to finally take back its streets and communities once and for all." New Initiatives and Additional Funding More Prosecutors for the Attorney General to Prosecute Violent Crimes. In September, Governor Hogan directed the Attorney General's Office to investigate and prosecute violent crimes, crimes related to firearms, and organized crime in Baltimore City. Governor Hogan announced today that the forthcoming Fiscal Year 2021 budget will fund 25 new positions in the Attorney General's Office for additional prosecutors and support staff. Additional Funding for Baltimore City's Crime-Fighting Efforts. It also can be used to make energy efficiency improvements to heating, ventilation and cooling systems; insulation; and lighting and refrigeration." Congressman Harris made the following statement: "Energy conservation is important to the health of the environment and our economy. Virginia Democrat Faces Constituents' Wrath Over Her Support for the Impeachment Inquiry Posted: 11 Dec 2019 03:30 PM PST Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) got an earful from some of her constituents during a town hall on Sunday as she discussed why she supported the impeachment inquiry into President Trump. CNN reported Spanberger was highlighting votes where she voted with House Republicans when some in the audience wanted her to talk about the impeachment inquiry. "My opinion of our inquiry is mine and mine alone. No one has pressured me to vote in any particular way from within the party. And I will not be pressured to vote in any particular way," she said. Rep. Jim Banks: Pelosi guilty of withholding aid for political purposes Posted: 11 Dec 2019 03:00 PM PST Something remarkable happened Tuesday. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admitted she is guilty of the very accusation levied (without evidence) at President Trump. Except, instead of being guilty of withholding aid to Ukrainians, Pelosi is guilty of withholding aid to Americans. We had dual announcements made by Pelosi and Democratic leaders in the House Tuesday morning. First, they announced two articles of impeachment. Then, just an hour or two later, they announced we will finally pass President Trump's United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. It was pretty convenient that Pelosi was able to counter detractors who dogged her for not getting anything done during impeachment. Maybe it wasn't convenient at all. Maybe it was planned that way. Marianne Williamson Falls for Hoax Saying Trump Pardoned Charles Manson Posted: 11 Dec 2019 02:30 PM PST Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson deleted a tweet in which she fell for a hoax about President Donald Trump pardoning murderer Charles Manson. "There is something deeply sinister about Trump pardoning Charles Manson, even posthumously," the spiritual guru wrote in a late-night Sunday tweet. "Dog whistles of the very worst possible kind." Needless to say, Trump did not pardon Manson, the cult leader who was found guilty of seven murders in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Even if Trump were so inclined, Manson was convicted in a California state court, and the president can only pardon federal crimes. More
Democrat Counsel Daniel Goldman Refuses to Say Who Ordered Phone Snooping Posted: 11 Dec 2019 02:00 PM PST House Intelligence Committee Democrat counsel Daniel Goldman refused Monday to answer questions from House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Doug Collins (R-GA) about whether he or Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) ordered private phone logs to be matched to political targets and then published. Goldman was testifying at a Judiciary Committee hearing on the impeachment of President Donald Trump, presenting Schiff's 300-page report, which was released last Tuesday. The report included phone records purporting to show communications involving Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (D-CA), journalist John Solomon, presidential lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and others. The records were used to allege that Nunes — Schiff's political rival — conspired to smear U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, a claim he denies. During the opening of questioning by the Republican minority, Collins confronted Goldman about the decision to subpoena the phone records, to check the numbers against known individuals, and then to publish the logs. Goldman was evasive, saying initially that the more important issue was the fact of the conversations themselves. More here
LifeSite News Locked Out of Twitter After Using ‘Jessica’ Yaniv’s Birth Name Posted: 11 Dec 2019 01:30 PM PST Pro-life website LifeSite News was locked out of its Twitter account yesterday after it referred to radical transgender activist Jessica Yaniv by his male birth name, "Jonathan." According to Twitter, using Yaniv's birth name is "hateful conduct." LifeSite news published a screenshot of Twitter's message demanding that the tweet be deleted before the restoration of their account. A Twitter spokeswoman confirmed to Breitbart News that LifeSite's account has been locked under Twitter's "hateful conduct" policy. LifeSite News disputes that their tweet was "hateful." Via LifeSite News: Twitter gave LifeSiteNews the option to delete the tweet and reactivate our account immediately. But instead we have launched an appeal of the decision. Twitter claimed that the tweet violated its rules, but didn't specify which ones. Twitter cites three main categories in its rules: safety, privacy, and authenticity. The tweet about Yaniv was public knowledge, as it cited a tweet Yaniv posted himself. It was authentic, it was not "platform manipulation," impersonation, a copyright infringement. The tweet did not "promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people," which Twitter says it prohibits. More
Lisa Page sues FBI and DOJ, citing 'cost of therapy' Posted: 11 Dec 2019 01:00 PM PST Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page is suing the FBI and Department of Justice, alleging that the government's publication of her salacious text messages with anti-Trump ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok constituted a breach of the Federal Privacy Act. In the complaint filed Tuesday, the 39-year-old Page said she suffered numerous damages, including a "permanent loss of earning capacity due to reputational damage" and "the cost of therapy to cope with unwanted national media exposure and harassment" caused by the disclosure. Page's complaint also sought reimbursement for "the cost of childcare during and transportation to multiple investigative reviews and appearances before Congress," the "cost of paying a data-privacy service to protect her personal information," and attorney's fees. Her lawsuit does not contain an apology for her conduct, and she has long maintained that her anti-Trump views -- which she shared with Strzok using FBI phones even as the two played key roles in the Hillary Clinton and Russia probes -- did not affect her official duties. Top universities should be taxed under ‘tax the rich’ logic Posted: 11 Dec 2019 12:30 PM PST Despite all the political rhetoric, let's be honest: Tax increases have never produced a single job — not a one. Taxing the rich or middle class more and more has in reality cost many their jobs and even more a pay raise, all while reducing the amount of your take-home income. Because it's primary season, the candidates on the left are talking tough on taxing rich people, as if they are an evil class, which they are not. But they have yet to talk about the richest of the rich — the one group so wealthy that changing tax policy or outright taxing them could literally solve millions of families' financial problems. College and university endowments — largely shielded from taxes by "not-for-profit" status as "educational institutions" — amount to hundreds of billions of dollars. It's the biggest tax scam the world has ever known. More
AOC is suddenly very attuned to anti-Semitism Posted: 11 Dec 2019 12:00 PM PST Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York has repeatedly defended anti-Semite Ilhan Omar. She defended the Minnesota congresswoman when she accused American Jews of having dual loyalties, and she defended Omar again when she claimed that wealthy Jews control Republicans in Congress. So, it's a bit rich that Ocasio-Cortez is now alleging anti-Semitism following President Trump's address this weekend at the Israeli American Council National Summit. Trump began that event by noting his personal acquaintance with some of the summit's attendees. He also boasted about his decision to make good on the U.S. government's longstanding commitment to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. "So, we're going to spend $2 billion, and one of them was going to buy a lousy location," the president said. More

Maryland uses surveillance, data to track motorists, traffic Posted: 11 Dec 2019 11:30 AM PST Motorists in Maryland may be aware of the cameras that enforce speed and red-light violations, but the state's tracking practices include other layers to assist in law enforcement efforts, and for traffic and planning purposes. Through the different practices, Maryland collects both anonymous and identifiable information — depending on the method — about driving patterns, raising concerns for privacy advocates. "I don't think it's really an issue of whether you have privacy in a particular moment in time," said Dave Maass, senior investigative researcher at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a nonprofit that defends civil liberties in the digital age. "But rather whether the government — and companies — should be tracking you over time and space, and then storing and selling that information." More

Partisan hypocrites: Left-wing ‘LGBTQ rights' groups bash GOP anti-discrimination bill Posted: 11 Dec 2019 09:45 AM PST Left-wing gay and transgender rights groups are simply overjoyed at the fact that a Republican member of Congress, Rep. Chris Stewart, just introduced a landmark anti-discrimination bill. Just kidding: They're actually frothing at the mouth and melting down — reminding us once more that they are really just front groups for the Democratic Party. The controversy stems from Stewart's introduction of a new bill dubbed "Fairness for All." It's a comprehensive, eminently reasonable update to federal civil rights law that would add sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes, yet carve out important exceptions to protect religious liberty. The bill comes with the backing of numerous conservative and religious groups, including the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as the Mormon Church). It would have been unimaginable, even a decade ago, for such conservative institutions to spearhead an important gay rights campaign. More
Attorney General Barr: FBI Ignored Exculpatory Evidence, Hid Information Posted: 11 Dec 2019 09:30 AM PST During a portion of an interview with NBC's Pete Williams that aired on Tuesday's broadcast of MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports," Attorney General William Barr said the FBI ignored exculpatory evidence when obtaining FISA warrants in the investigation of any possible Trump campaign ties with Russia. Barr said, "From day one — remember, they said, okay, we're not going to talk to the campaign. We're going to put people in there, rile them up and have conversations with people involved in the campaign because that way, we'll get the truth. From the very first day of this investigation, which is July 31st, 2016, all the way to its end, September 2017, there was not one incriminatory bit of evidence to come in. It was all exculpatory. The people with the tapings denied it with Russia, denied the specific facts that the FBI was relying on. So what happens? The FBI ignores it, presses ahead, withholds that information from the court, withholds critical exculpatory information from the court while it gets an electronic surveillance warrant. It also withholds from the court clear cut evidence that the dossier that they ultimately relied on to get the FISA warrant was a complete sham." He continued..

Bloomberg News Is Breaking the Law by Only Investigating Trump, FEC Complaint Says Posted: 11 Dec 2019 09:00 AM PST Bloomberg News announced that it would continue its tradition of not investigating its owner, Michael Bloomberg, even as he entered the 2020 presidential race. The outlet also claimed it would refrain from investigating the other Democratic candidates. Yet the outlet also announced it would investigate President Donald Trump, Bloomberg's potential competitor. According to a new Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint from the Media Research Center (MRC), this likely violates the law. "Bloomberg News is making a mockery of legitimate journalism. They have consciously chosen to abandon their journalistic responsibilities in favor of what is politically convenient," MRC President Brent Bozell said in a statement. "This is a public declaration that Bloomberg's newsroom is adopting media bias as an official policy," "This is not only categorically unethical, but potentially illegal, which is why we are calling for an investigation," Bozell added. Dershowitz: Democrats Are Using Soviet Tactics to Take Down Donald Trump Posted: 11 Dec 2019 08:30 AM PST On the latest episode of "Life, Liberty & Levin" on Fox News Channel, law professor Alan Dershowitz completely destroyed the Democrats' impeachment case against President Donald Trump. "They're searching for a crime... There is no case for bribery," Dershowitz told Levin. Host Mark Levin asked Dershowitz about the meaning of "bribery." It has, he said, specific meaning. "It doesn't mean everything. It just doesn't necessarily mean this. What does it mean?" Well, Dershowitz explained, "There are four criteria... We know it when we see it." For example, "when you pay a government official corruptly to perform an illegal act or an act that is motivated by money. But it can't operate when you're the president of the United States and you're conditioning or withholding money in order to make sure that a country isn't corrupt, and you're asking them to investigate. That just doesn't fit any definition of bribery — common law definition of bribery, statutory definition of bribery. However you define the constitutional word bribery, it just doesn't fit." So, what are Democrats doing, then? "What they're trying to do is what the KGB under Lavrentiy Beria said to Stalin the dictator -- I'm not comparing our country to the Soviet Union, I just want to make sure it never becomes anything like that. Beria said to Stalin: 'Show me the man and I'll find you the crime.' And that's what some of the Democrats are doing. They have Trump in their sights. They want to figure out ways of impeaching him, and they're searching for a crime." More
'End this': Republicans poised to call no witnesses during Trump impeachment trial in Senate Posted: 11 Dec 2019 08:00 AM PST Senate Republicans do not expect to call witnesses President Trump might want to hear from most in an impeachment trial, conceding there are not the votes to summon key figures such as Hunter Biden and the unidentified government whistleblower whose complaint sparked the process. Senate impeachment rules require a majority vote to call witnesses, and with just two out of 53 votes to spare, there is no "appetite" among Republicans to pursue testimony from people that Democrats blocked Republicans from subpoenaing during the House investigation. Indeed, Republicans might forgo calling witnesses altogether, saying minds are made up on Trump's guilt or innocence and that testimony at trial on the Senate floor would draw out the proceedings unnecessarily. "Here's what I want to avoid: this thing going on longer than it needs to," Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina told the Washington Examiner. "I want to end this." More
Posted: 11 Dec 2019 07:30 AM PST "I do not think it means what you think it means." – Inigo Montoya The Department of Justice Inspector General's (IG) report into the FBI lying to the FISA Court to get warrants to spy on the Trump campaign is 433 pages. It took AG Bill Barr one paragraph to translate what all of it means in the real world. Oh, and don't pick it up because you might burn yourself. The Inspector General's report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken. It is also clear that, from its inception, the evidence produced by the investigation was consistently exculpatory. Nevertheless, the investigation and surveillance was pushed forward for the duration of the campaign and deep into President Trump's administration. In the rush to obtain and maintain FISA surveillance of Trump campaign associates, FBI officials misled the FISA court, omitted critical exculpatory facts from their filings, and suppressed or ignored information negating the reliability of their principal source. …[T]he malfeasance and misfeasance detailed in the Inspector General's report reflects a clear abuse of the FISA process.Because the IG has no right to subpoena and can't lock anyone up, he can only refer people for prosecution. Currently, most of the people who conducted the abuse have been fired and were out of the purview of the IG. More

Education Department uncovers $1.3B in foreign university funding Posted: 11 Dec 2019 06:45 AM PST An Education Department investigation revealed universities failed to report more than a billion dollars in foreign funding, which officials believe is only a sliver of the unreported overseas donations flowing onto campuses. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos told the Washington Examiner she had launched a preliminary investigation into six universities but already turned up an alarming $1.3 billion in foreign funding over the past seven years from nations such as China, Russia, and Qatar that the schools hadn't told the federal government about, despite their legal requirement to do so. "It is already a reporting requirement for schools to report all foreign contributions. From my perspective, it's a simple requirement: Report all foreign money you get." DeVos said. "We're going to continue to raise the flag on this, and we think, just given what we've seen scratching the surface, there's a lot there that has gone undetected." DeVos said foreign funding is an administration-wide national security concern. "We're raising this issue and letting schools know that we're going to be paying attention in ways that hasn't happened before," she said. In a seven-page letter to the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, the Education Department said the six investigations, still in their early stages, have revealed what acting general counsel Reed Rubinstein called "disturbing facts." Rubinstein did not name the universities associated with each finding, citing the department's general policy not to comment on the status or results of current investigations. But the universities under review are Georgetown, Texas A&M, Cornell, Rutgers, the University of Maryland, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. More
Trump DEMOLISHES Impeachment Narrative on Ukraine Posted: 11 Dec 2019 06:30 AM PST Shortly after Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) announced the Democrats' two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, the president responded with a blockbuster tweet demolishing the central claim in the impeachment narrative. Nadler explained that Democrats were impeaching Trump for "abuse of power." He accused the president of having "solicited and pressured Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 presidential election, thus damaging our national security, undermining the integrity of the next election, and violating his oath to the American people." Trump responded to this directly. "Nadler just said that I 'pressured Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 Election.' Ridiculous, and he know that it is not true. Both the President & Foreign Minister of Ukraine said, many times, that there 'WAS NO PRESSURE.' Nadler and the Dems know this, but refuse to acknowledge!" More
Federal judge blocks billions in Pentagon funding from paying for border wall Posted: 11 Dec 2019 06:15 AM PST A federal judge has blocked President Trump from diverting Pentagon funds from various military projects toward building a wall on the United States's southern border. Judge David Briones of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas issued the block in response to a lawsuit by El Paso County, Texas, and the Border Network for Human Rights. "The President's emergency proclamation was a blatant attempt to grab power from Congress. Today's order affirms that the President is not a king and that our courts are willing to check him when he oversteps his bounds," Kristy Parker, an attorney for the litigants, said in a statement. Adam Schiff: Congress Must Impeach Trump to Stop Him in 2020 Posted: 11 Dec 2019 06:00 AM PST House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) on Tuesday indicated that Democrats must impeach President Trump quickly in order to stop him from prevailing in the 2020 presidential election. Democrats on Tuesday unveiled two articles of impeachment against the president: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Notably, neither allege a high crime or misdemeanor. Noticeably absent was the Democrats' long-held appeal to bribery, extortion, or treason. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), flanked by chairs Jerry Nadler (D-NY), Adam Schiff (D-CA), Eliot Engel (D-NY), Maxine Waters (D-CA), Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), and Richard Neal (D-MA), stepped aside as both Nadler and Schiff briefly offered minimal details on their decision. Democrats did not indicate when the text would be released and refused to take questions following the momentous announcement. Schiff briefly addressed critics who say that Democrats should simply wait for the American people to judge the president in the 2020 election. Democrats, Schiff suggested, cannot allow that, because it would essentially allow Trump to "cheat" in one more election. More here

Greta Thunberg is Time's 2019 Person of the Year Posted: 11 Dec 2019 05:25 AM PST Time magazine on Wednesday announced teen climate activist Greta Thunberg is its 2019 Person of the Year. The 16-year-old Thunberg first made headlines last year with her solitary strike against climate change outside Sweden's parliament. Since then, she's inspired millions of supporters to rally in more than 150 countries. In September, she scolded world leaders at the United Nations for failing to address climate change. "People are suffering. People are dying and dying ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is the money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth," she said Monday, as she fought back tears. "How dare you! For more than 30 years the science has been crystal clear. How dare you continue to look away and come here saying that you're doing enough when the politics and solutions needed are still nowhere in sight." More
