Argus Media Group appoints bankers to carry out sale of up to £1 billion - part 5 Posted: 29 Mar 2016 02:05 AM PDT Apologies for the lack of posts over the last few days - I have been very busy scoffing chocolate over the long weekend. Anyway, I'm back on the case this week and before I get round to breaking another earth shattering "exclusive" I thought I would share with loyal readers a little bit of gossip about the Argus Media Group sale. Readers might recall I broke the "exclusive" story about the company hiring Bank of America Merrill Lynch late last year to weigh strategic options for the commodities news and data group. Well, I'm hearing from reliable that sale process is entering into the final stages, with three/possible four bidders being taken into the next (possibly final?) round of the auction. I'm not quite sure which bidders have made it through to the final round although the name Charterhouse (a highly secretive UK-based private equity firm) keeps on cropping up in conversations... |
