I see Watkin Jones has this morning issued a statement about its listing on AIM, which saw the Welsh property developer raise £131 million.

Readers of this blog won't be surprised to learn about the details of Watkin Jones's fundraising although admittedly confirmation of my tale from Monday took 24 hours longer than I expected.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail launched its new City diary column entitled "the dastardly Mr Deedes".

Again, regular Betavillers shouldn't be too surprised to see the column on the front page of the newspaper's City and Finance section as I "exclusively revealed" a couple of months ago the publication was planning to launch the City diary:
