FBI Source: Clinton Foundation Can Bring Down Entire Government Posted: 09 Jul 2016 09:00 PM PDT The Clinton Foundation is a "massive spider web of connections and money laundering implicating hundreds of high-level people," according to an anonymous insider who revealed why the FBI stopped short of indicting Hillary Clinton. Before FBI Director James Comey announced the FBI wouldn't recommend pressing charges against Clinton, an insider with "intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the Clinton case" hosted an little-publicized AMA session on 4Chan, and the statements he made on July 2 corroborate with later developments of the scandal. "There is enough for her and the entire government to be brought down," he revealed. "People do not realize how enormous this whole situation actually is." More |

Fallon Claims That Hillary Clinton Didn't Lie To Congress Posted: 09 Jul 2016 08:00 PM PDT Brian Fallon, the press secretary for Hillary Clinton's campaign, falsely said Thursday on CNN that the presumptive Democratic nominee did not lie to Congress about the classification of emails on her private server during her tenure as secretary of state. Host Wolf Blitzer questioned Fallon about FBI Director James Comey's testimony earlier in the day about his agency's investigation into Clinton's private server. The House Oversight Committee questioned Comey for nearly four and a half hours. "[Rep.] Jason Chaffetz asked the FBI Director today if Secretary Clinton lied during her sworn testimony before the Benghazi Committee in Congress when she said, in her words, 'there was nothing marked classified on my emails either sent or received,'" Blitzer said. "Did she lie to Congress?" "Of course not," Fallon responded. More |

FBI Busts Would-Be Muslim Terrorist Plotting To Kill Military Officers Posted: 09 Jul 2016 07:15 PM PDT A Muslim man who stated he admired lone wolf attackers and prayed for Allah to "give strength to the mujahideen to slaughter every single US military officer" was arrested Friday morning, July 8, in Virginia, but the nation hardly noticed. Haris Qamar, 25, of Burke, Virginia, was born in 1990 in Brooklyn, New York. He lived with his parents, and wanted to go join ISIS – evening buying a plane ticket to Istanbul, Turkey in July 2014 – but his parents prevented it by taking his passport and birth certificate away from him. According to a court affidavit, the FBI was first alerted to his support of ISIS by his Twitter posts in early 2015, in over 60 accounts that included the name "newerajihadi". He posted photos of ISIS beheadings and terror photos, blood and dead bodies, and made many terror threats showing support for ISIS. More |
Hillary will remain on the hook — unless Obama pardons her Posted: 09 Jul 2016 07:00 PM PDT No sooner did FBI Director James Comey take a powder on the Hillary Clinton scandal than the calls started coming for the appointment of a special counsel. If Comey's idea was to quell the controversy, it looks like he failed. So how's the idea of a presidential pardon looking now? I made that suggestion a year ago in The Post, and to me it grows more logical by the hour. Obama, I noted, wouldn't need his infamous phone to do it. He could pardon Hillary Clinton with the stroke of a pen. He could pardon Clinton of the crimes the Republicans say she committed. He could pardon her of the crimes that even Comey says she committed but that "no reasonable prosecutor" would pursue. Even a pardon might not end the controversy. But it would end Clinton's legal jeopardy (which will still be there if a Republican administration comes into power or a special counsel is appointed). More |
Two Arrested After Meth is Located in Suitcases Posted: 09 Jul 2016 06:48 PM PDT Millsboro, DE- The Delaware State Police have arrested two people after a traffic stop revealed methamphetamine in their suitcases. On Friday July 8, 2016 around 6:34 p.m., a trooper on patrol in the area of John J. Williams Highway (SR24) just east of Indian Mission Road (SR5) observed two pedestrians walking along the shoulder with suitcases. A traffic stop was conducted on the pedestrians and upon attempting to identify the two, they both gave false names. A search was conducted on the suitcases which revealed .88 grams of methamphetamine as well as equipment and component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of Meth along with key ingredients in making the drug. The two subjects, who were later identified as Christopher A. Biddinger, 28, andVictoria L. Barbati, 21, both of Muncy, Pennsylvania, were transported to Troop 4 in Georgetown where they were both charged with Operating a Clandestine Laboratory, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Meth), Conspiracy 2nd , Criminal Impersonation, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were both arraigned at JP2 and remanded to the Delaware Department of Corrections in lieu of $23,100.00 secured bond. Detectives assigned to the Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit, with the assistance of DNREC, responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. No evacuations were ordered and no roadways were closed as it was determined that there was no immediate hazard to nearby residents. No photos of the subjects are available at this time. |

Dallas cop killer stalked colleague and 'stole girls' panties when in the US Army Posted: 09 Jul 2016 05:45 PM PDT The gunman who killed five police officers in Dallas has been unmasked as a pervert accused of stalking a female colleague when he was in the US Army. Micah Johnson, 25, shot dead the officers in a killing spree that began during a march by the campaign group Black Lives Matter, held to protest against the shooting of black people by police. Now it has emerged that in 2014, Johnson was sent home in disgrace from Afghanistan by the US military after a female soldier begged for protection from him. Another colleague has revealed how the killer used to 'steal girls' panties'. Johnson, a private in the American Army, was deployed to Afghanistan in November 2013 with the 420th Engineer Brigade. While he was there, his colleague Anna Ma, 25, accused him of sexual harassment, according to a military lawyer who represented Johnson when he returned home in May 2014. More |

Ted Cruz says he accepted Donald Trump's request to speak at GOP convention Posted: 09 Jul 2016 05:00 PM PDT Sen. Ted Cruz said Thursday that he accepted Donald Trump's request to speak at the Republican National Convention later this month in Cleveland, but that the subject of a possible endorsement did not come up at a meeting earlier in the day in Washington, D.C. "We had a positive and productive meeting this morning with Donald Trump," Mr. Cruz said. "Donald asked me to speak at the Republican convention, and I told him I'd be happy to do so." Mr. Cruz and several other former 2016 GOP presidential rivals of Mr. Trump have yet to offer a formal endorsement. Mr. Cruz said there was "no discussion" of any endorsement in the meeting. More |

More police calls, more people in resort during holiday wknd. Posted: 09 Jul 2016 04:30 PM PDT Since Fourth of July fell on a Monday this year, thousands flocked to the resort to celebrate their liberty and the pursuit of happiness, resulting in a small spike in police activity. From Friday, July 1 to Monday, July 4, the Ocean City Police Department recorded 2,588 service calls, up from last year's holiday weekend. In 2015, 2,301 recorded service calls were made. However, that year, visitors did not enjoy a three-day weekend since Fourth of July fell on a Saturday. Despite the longer weekend, 98 arrests were made between Friday and Monday, which was on par with the year before when 97 arrests were made. More |
Artists Begin Building Trump’s Border Wall, Sending Mexico the Bill Posted: 09 Jul 2016 04:15 PM PDT Ever since Donald J. Trump announced his plans to build a wall at the border, pundits and voters have been debating how it would work. Now a pair of artists have offered an example: They have built a wall — or the start of one, anyway — near the edge of Jacumba Hot Springs, Calif., a border town about 70 miles southeast of San Diego. "It took about 52 cinder blocks," David Gleeson, one of the artists, said by phone on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after he and his partner, Mary Mihelic, erected their version of Mr. Trump's wall. It stands 20 yards from the actual United States-Mexico border, which already has a fence. Covered on one side by a large campaign ad for Mr. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, and studded with wilting fruit, flowers, cleaning items and hardware, their wall was meant to symbolize, Mr. Gleeson said, the economic effects that curtailing immigration and closing borders would have on agriculture, industry and domestic life. The structure is abbreviated and remote; Ms. Mihelic hopes that other artists will add to it. "Art has to be present more in these disruptive and contentious moments," Mr. Gleeson said. Given Mr. Trump's promise that he would get Mexico to the pay for the wall, Mr. Gleeson and Ms. Mihelic sent an itemized bill to Enrique Peña Nieto, the president of Mexico: $14,635.42 for their materials and labor. (They had some fun with the accounting, they said, in homage to Mr. Trump.) The receiving address for payment is Trump Tower. More |

Second Alton Sterling Video Vindicates Cops Posted: 09 Jul 2016 03:45 PM PDT A second Alton Sterling shooting video has surfaced, and this video destroys just about every Black Lives Matter lie on the incident. The video was taken by Sterling's friend, Abdul Muflahi. A lot of the copies of this video have been repeatedly compressed and reformatted, and are of very low quality. Some of the videos are of a high quality, except the hosts intentionally blurred out details around the shooting; details which would support the officers. We sought out the highest quality video we could find that isn't blurred out, and it's hosted by USA Today Video and More |
Boaters Rescue Raccoon Stranded In Chesapeake Bay Posted: 09 Jul 2016 03:30 PM PDT BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A baby raccoon rescue was caught on camera. The animal was stranded in Swann Creek in the Chesapeake Bay when boaters found it on the Fourth of July. Tracey Leong has the heartwarming rescue. There has been an overwhelming response to the video and the two men who rescued the baby raccoon say they are surprised by how popular it has become; they say all they wanted to do was save the animal. Peering up from the Chesapeake Bay, a baby raccoon struggled to stay afloat. "First reaction was, how do we save it?" said Dennis Jay. "He's so adorable, how could you not?" said Peter Lamb. The compassion of boaters Jay and Lamb launched a creative operation using a life preserver to save the little furball, who was far from shore—an uncommon and potentially dangerous place for a raccoon, who they think was stranded in the open water for several hours. Grocery chain loses 3,000 products thanks to Vermont’s GMO law Posted: 09 Jul 2016 03:00 PM PDT Suppliers for the grocery chain Price Chopper will no longer be sending 3,000 products to its Vermont stores because of the state's new labeling law for genetically modified foods, or GMOs. Vermont now requires food companies to include labels on products to tell customers they are made with GMOs. It's a law that's backed by environmentalists across the country and is intended to vilify genetically modified products. But Price Chopper shoppers are going to lose out on thousands of products, from Cadbury chocolates to Entenmann's donuts to Pepsi products, because companies don't want to pay the added cost of labeling the foods. WCAX.com reports the chain "will no longer receive are Del Monte fruits, some Hostess products, some Chicken of the Sea, Sabra Hummus, some Heinz Ketchup, Sage Valley nuts, Bob Evans foods, Louisiana Fish Fry products, Sea Gold Seafood and some Starbucks products," just to name a few. "I think it has to be a federal proposal at this point," Republican Lt. Gov. Phil Scott told WCAX.com. "I had advocated at the time that it was passed that it should be triggered amongst other Northeast states." More |

NYC cracks down on ‘air conditioning the sidewalk’ Posted: 09 Jul 2016 12:30 PM PDT NEW YORK (AP) — Along New York City's steamy sidewalks in the summer, there's long been a reliable respite from the heat: waves of air-conditioned comfort wafting from open doors. Now the nation's biggest city is pushing businesses to cool it on such wastefulness. Under an expanded law that took full effect this week, most stores and restaurants could be fined $250 or more if they keep their doors or windows open while running the A/C. But as temperatures soared into the 90s, some air-conditioned shops and eateries around Times Square still had doors propped like open arms, beckoning passers-by to come into the cold. "When the doors are open, it's better for business," says William Shalders, who manages Il Forno, an Italian restaurant that had its front door open; he said he wasn't aware of the law. More |
James Comey: Hillary Clinton not ‘sophisticated enough’ to understand classified markings Posted: 09 Jul 2016 12:00 PM PDT Hillary Clinton wasn't "sophisticated enough" to know she was risking national security when she sent and received classified information, so it was impossible to make a criminal case against her, FBI Director James B. Comey told Congress on Thursday. He said Mrs. Clinton, the former State Department secretary and now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, was briefed on the State Department's policies but broke them, sending or receiving more than 100 messages that contained information that was confidential at the time she handled it. He also confirmed that she misled voters in her public explanations, and he insisted that she would have faced discipline, including potentially losing her right to see secret information, if she were still a government employee. But he said his investigators couldn't find any evidence that Mrs. Clinton intended to break the law, which he said means they couldn't recommend that she be prosecuted. "Certainly, she should have known not to send classified information," Mr. Comey told the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. "I think she was extremely careless. I think she was negligent. That, I could establish. What we can't establish is that she acted with the necessary criminal intent." More |
10 States Sue Over Restrooms Transgender Students Can Use Posted: 09 Jul 2016 11:30 AM PDT LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Ten states sued the federal government Friday over rules requiring public schools to allow transgender students to use restrooms conforming to their gender identity, joining a dozen other states in the latest fight over LGBT rights. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Nebraska and included nine other states: Arkansas, Kansas, Michigan, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The filing comes after 11 states sued in May over the same Obama administration directive. North Carolina officials also sued the federal government in May over the same issue. Vast sums of federal funding are at stake: Money could be withheld from public schools that refuse to comply with the federal directive. More |
Hillary Clinton Blames Whites, Cops for Deaths of Young Black Men Posted: 09 Jul 2016 11:15 AM PDT Hillary Clinton used a CNN interview on Friday to completely embrace the Democrats' claim that white people and cops must change to help reduce the number of African-Americans killed in tense exchanges with cops. "I will call for white people, like myself, to put ourselves in the shoes of those African-American families who fear every time their children go somewhere, who have to have 'The Talk,' about, you now, how to really protect themselves [from police], when they're the ones who should be expecting protection from encounters with police," Clinton told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "I'm going to be talking to white people, we're the ones who have to start listening to the legitimate cries coming from our African-American fellow citizens," she said. More |
Feds moving to strip money from U.S. sanctuary cities Posted: 09 Jul 2016 11:00 AM PDT The Justice Department said Thursday it has warned sanctuary cities to quit shielding illegal immigrants from deportation agents or else lose federal grant money, putting some muscle behind Republicans' push to punish cities and counties that have refused to cooperate. That could prevent future situations like the Kate Steinle case, where an illegal immigrant was released by the sheriff's department in San Francisco despite a request that he be held for deportation. The man would go on to kill Steinle, according to authorities, as she walked on the city waterfront with her father. Justice officials confirmed the move in a letter to Rep. John Abney Culberson, Texas Republican and chairman of a key spending subcommittee, who had demanded action from Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch earlier this year. Under the new guidance, local authorities don't have to track down illegal immigrants, nor are they required to inquire about someone's status. But when the government requests information, or when a local officer wants to report someone, the communications can't be barred, the Justice Department ruled in its new guidance. That could include situations when U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement asks to be notified when someone they want to deport is being released from a local prison or jail — such as in the Steinle case. Jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate would lose funding under Justice Assistance Grants and the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program, which provide hundreds of millions of dollars a year to local law enforcement. "Sanctuary cities are a hub for illegal aliens and criminal activity, and we've seen the tragic results of these policies time and time again," Mr. Culberson said. "It has been more than a year since Kate Steinle was murdered at the hands of a criminal illegal alien who intentionally sought out shelter in San Francisco due to the city's sanctuary policies. This violence and suffering is intolerable and completely preventable." More |

Posted: 09 Jul 2016 10:30 AM PDT OCEAN CITY — In downtown Ocean City, three Romanian medical students here for the summer as part of the J-1 Visa Work and Travel program sit on the porch of their small second floor apartment. They are smoking cigarettes and sitting in the shade where it is much cooler than the house, because they say the ancient window air-conditioning units have not been working properly. They joke about how tired they are from their numerous jobs and chuckle about the many interesting things they've seen American tourists do while on vacation. "I'm sorry for the mess," says Emily, a petite and soft-spoken 20-something, "but the place is kind of a dump anyway, so there is not much we can do about it. I'm glad we took it though because there are many people who don't have a place to stay and had to go home." Leading up to the summer season, the big talking point surrounding the annual influx of thousands of foreign students from around the globe that serve as a vital cog in the wheel of the summer workforce in the resort was a severe housing shortage. "We didn't know where we were going to put many of the students because many of the properties are either no longer available or the landlords have chosen not to rent to foreign students," said Annemarie Conestabile, Program Director for United Work and Travel in Ocean City. "Thankfully, we found a place for everyone prior to the students arriving, but in some cases, we had landlords who backed out of our agreements just prior to Memorial Day weekend so they could rent to American tourists and make more money, and that made the housing shortage even worse." Darryl Glenn, black GOP Senate candidate: Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson ‘do not speak for me’ Posted: 09 Jul 2016 10:00 AM PDT Darryl Glenn, a black conservative who won the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate in Colorado, made it clear over the weekend that black civil rights activists Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson don't speak for him. Speaking at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, the retired lieutenant colonel said he plans to visit black neighborhoods neglected by Republicans and taken for granted by Democrats. "They think just think just because, hey, you're black, you're supposed to vote for the Democrats. That's wrong, ladies and gentlemen. We need to start standing up for freedom and liberty," he told the crowd, The Daily Caller reported. "I'm still waiting for Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to come," he said. "You know Al Sharpton doesn't even pay for his own suits. These people … do not speak for me, ladies and gentlemen. They don't speak for all black people. "We need to shine the light on them," Mr. Glenn said. "We need to show the fact that when you start thinking about freedom and liberty, personal responsibility and opportunity to achieve the American Dream, the Republican party is the best party to do that. Lets stand for that." More here |
Posted: 09 Jul 2016 09:53 AM PDT Obama administration officials circumvented the Constitution and appropriations laws in sending taxpayer dollars to insurance companies for Obamacare payments, according to a joint report from the House Energy and Commerce and House Ways and Means committees. A provision in Obamacare known as the cost sharing reduction program lowers deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance for individuals who qualify to provide extra savings. The Obama administration has been paying for this program without congressional appropriation since January 2014, despite the fact that the Constitution makes clear that the executive branch cannot spend taxpayer money without the approval of Congress. The administration has been funding it through a permanent appropriation, which can only be used for specific programs including tax refunds and enumerated refundable tax credits. The permanent appropriation must be amended by Congress to include other programs. The 18-month long investigation directed by the chairmen of both committees, Reps. Fred Upton (R., Mich.) and Kevin Brady (R., Texas), was launched to understand why the administration is funding the program through a permanent appropriation and who made that decision. According to the report, the administration knew that it could not use the permanent appropriation to fund the program and requested an annual appropriation from Congress for the program, but the Senate Committee on Appropriations denied it. State awards city grant for pair of Boardwalk projects Posted: 09 Jul 2016 09:45 AM PDT The Boardwalk is looking to get another attraction, as Ocean City officials are developing plans for a playground and a police memorial near North Division Street. This past month, the city staff was notified that its submission for the Community Parks and Playgrounds grant to build a play structure on the boards was included in the Maryland Capital budget for this fiscal year. The Department of Natural Resources offers the $120,500 grant to state municipalities to create or restore parks or other playgrounds. But before breaking ground, the state Board of Public Works must approve the project later this summer. "We've never had a 'permanent' playground on the boardwalk, so this would be a first, and, if successful, it will be the only," city Recreation and Parks Director Susan Petito said. Because of beach restrictions imposed by the state, no structure beyond the building limit line can have permanent footings. Currently, there is only one permanent play structure on the beach – the dinosaur bones on the beach near Third Street. More |
Trump Responds to Dallas Shooting Posted: 09 Jul 2016 09:37 AM PDT Presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump weighed in on the Dallas terror attack by a black extremist that left 5 police officers dead. Via the Washington Examiner: Trump referenced both incidents in his statement. "The senseless, tragic deaths of two motorists in Louisiana and Minnesota reminds us how much more needs to be done," Trump said. Sterling in Louisiana was not a motorist, but rather shot outside a convenience store. Castile was shot in his car during a traffic stop. "Our nation has become too divided. Too many Americans feel like they've lost hope. Crime is harming too many citizens. Racial tensions have gotten worse, not better. This isn't the American Dream we all want for our children," Trump concluded. "This is a time, perhaps more than ever, for strong leadership, love and compassion. We will pull through these tragedies." Earlier Friday morning, Trump tweeted his "prayers and condolences" to anyone "devastated by the horrors we are all watching take place in our country." He canceled a planned campaign stop in Miama for Friday. Trump's statement is a surprisingly measured one, and a welcome departure from President Obama, who used the tragedy as an opportunity to shamelessly advocate for gun control. Source: AAN |
State’s Case Against Lt. Rice Mirrors Past Failed Trials Posted: 09 Jul 2016 09:30 AM PDT BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The trial of Lieutenant Brian Rice has wrapped up for the week. Critics of the state's case say it's too similar to past failed efforts to gain convictions. Rice is the highest-ranking officer charged in connection with the arrest and death of Freddie Gray. Among the charges he faces — involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment. The state's case against Lt. Brian Rice has been almost a mirror of their past trials where they've failed to get convictions against other officers in the death of Freddie Gray. "It's easy for the state to look at the judge's rulings on the very same charges with the same facts and conclude that the result is going to be the same. And today if any day would be a great day for them to just throw in the towel on this case," said Warren Brown, lawyer and courtroom observer. More |

Sheriff Clarke: ‘I Hope, I Pray That Donald J. Trump Becomes the Next Commander-in-Chief’ Posted: 09 Jul 2016 09:07 AM PDT Friday on Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends," Milwaukee Co., WI Sheriff David Clarke said that in the wake of Thursday's shooting in Dallas that so far as resulted in the deaths of five police officers he hopes presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump emerges victorious over presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in this November's presidential election. "I cannot wait until January 20, 2017 when President Obama leaves the White House for the last time," Clarke said. "And I hope, I pray that Donald J. Trump becomes the next commander-in-chief because we need a president who is going to stand beside us and support us all across the country unambiguously by the way and we know we're not going to get that out of Mrs. Bill Clinton. I think the saddest day for law enforcement will be if she were to become the president of the United States." More/Video |

The BLS reports that last month a record 25,851,000 foreign-born people had jobs in the U.S., an increase of 110,000 people from the previous record high hit in March. The BLS defines the "foreign-born" as "those residing in the United States who were not U.S. citizens at birth." Curing Our Coast, Shore’s Elderly Also Impacted By Opiate Addiction Posted: 09 Jul 2016 08:30 AM PDT OCEAN CITY — Addiction is often thought to be an issue that plagues the young or the middle-aged, but statistical data shows that one of the fastest growing demographics abusing opiates is the elderly. "Seventy percent of the opiate addicts in Maryland get there by the prescription drug route," says Dr. Michael Finegan, a clinical psychologist at Peninsula Addictions Services in Salisbury who is the only Eastern Shore member of the Governor's Opiate Taskforce. "We don't have concrete numbers on this, but I think it's very safe to theorize that the number is even higher with our geriatric population. They have been given medication that they have become addicted to, and if they have a change in prescription or financial situation, these older individuals are at an increased risk of turning to illicit drugs like heroin or buying pills off the street." Often dubbed the "hidden epidemic" by health experts, prescription pill usage amongst Americans over the age of 65 is not just landing them in hospitals or rehabilitation centers across the country at an increasing rate, they may indirectly be their grandchildren's first drug provider. Cops And Courts – July 8, 2016 Posted: 09 Jul 2016 07:30 AM PDT OC Man Arrested For Assault On Officers OCEAN CITY — An Ocean City man had to be physically restrained following a fight on the Boardwalk last weekend after head-butting one Ocean City police officer and spitting blood on and threatening to kill several others. Around 12:20 a.m. last Saturday, OCPD officers responded to a reported fight in the area of 1st Street and the Boardwalk. Officers arrived on the scene and observed two men actively fighting. Once the fight was stopped, OCPD officers questioned one of the combatants identified as Thomas Clark II, 24, of Ocean City. According to police reports, Clark refused to sit down on a bench at the officers' request and told police he did not do anything wrong. Clark then lit into an expletive-laced tirade and said the other combatant had hit him first and that he was a U.S. Marine and was only defending himself. When asked what he did in the Marines, Clark reportedly said "What the [expletive deleted] does that matter? I [expletive deleted] killed people." Clark also told police he had shot someone in the face in North Carolina who had attempted to assault him with a knife. Obama’s false racism claims are putting cops’ lives in danger Posted: 09 Jul 2016 07:15 AM PDT Hours before the murders of five police officers in Dallas, Texas, President Obama was again spouting false claims about racism by the police. He sees racism whenever there is any disparity in outcomes, no matter what the cause. Obama and others inflame passions, but take no responsibility, and instead use events to push for more gun control. Yet, shouting racism can endanger the lives of police officers. The Dallas police chief tells us one of the shooters "wanted to kill white people, especially white officers." After the Trayvon Martin case, there were numerous cases around the country of blacks attacking whites and invoking Martin's name. Let's not forget that NYPD cops Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were executed by a black man who was angry about the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo. Obama and his administration spoke out repeatedly on the Martin and Brown cases. They repeatedly claimed racism was involved, but in fact there's no evidence of that in either case. More |
Florida Man Kills Home Invader With Machete Posted: 09 Jul 2016 07:00 AM PDT A Florida man was killed Tuesday after breaking into a couple's home and attacking the wife, a Palm Beach Postreport says. Steven and Heather Aiosa were awoken around 2 a.m. Tuesday and found Robert Alcalde, 31, standing in their doorway. According to authorities, Alcalde had broken into the home through a front window and was behaving as someone who had taken drugs. Steven Aiosa grabbed a .22-caliber rifle from under his bed and walked with Heather to the back door and into their yard, but the gun malfunctioned as he tried to load it. He then went to grab the machete that was also kept under the bed. Alcalde began to attack Heather, which is when her husband began striking him with the machete. "He tackled [Heather Aiosa] to the ground," Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said of the attack. "It was a very, very violent struggle at this point. There was a lot of fighting — active fighting, brawling." Appeals Court Rules Salisbury Convict’s Life Sentence Illegal Posted: 09 Jul 2016 06:45 AM PDT SALISBURY — A Salisbury man, sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the brutal carjacking and murder of a woman in Wicomico County in 2009, will get a second chance after a state appeals court asserted his sentence was illegal based on a Supreme Court ruling handed down years later. In 2009, Kenneth Benjamin Alvira, now 23, of Salisbury, was found guilty of first-degree murder, armed carjacking, armed robbery and other offenses for his role in the brutal slaying of a woman left for dead on a rural road in Wicomico County. Alvira and two others, both 19 years old, carjacked a woman, stabbed her and dumped her in a field, according to court documents. The victim, although alive when found, died soon thereafter. At trial, an acquaintance of Alvira testified Alvira admitted to him he killed the victim with a knife and then left her along a dark road. In 2009, a Wicomico County jury found Alvira guilty of first-degree murder and other charges and he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus 30 years for the armed carjacking to be served consecutively. However, in 2012, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a separate case a sentence of life without the possibility of parole was not appropriate for juveniles under the age of 18 in most cases. More |
Texas Black Lives Matter Protesters Called for Killing of White Cops in 2015 Posted: 09 Jul 2016 06:37 AM PDT Texas Black Lives Matter protesters called for the "lynching" and "killing" of white people and white cops in August 2015, less than one year before the tragic sniper attack on cops in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas Police Department has reported that a motive of the Dallas cop-killers was to kill white police officers. The calls for killing white cops were first reported by Breitbart Texas' Lana Shadwick. She transcribed a recording of the calls for assassination (recording embedded below). She wrote: An unidentified black man said "when those mother f**kers are by themselves, that's when when we should start f***ing them up. Like they do us, when a bunch of them ni**ers takin' one of us out, that's how we should roll up." He said, "Cause we already roll up in gangs anyway. There should be six or seven black mother f**ckers, see that white person, and then lynch their ass. Let's turn the tables." More |

The shots killed five officers and wounded seven more during a march to protest against recent police shootings of black men. Patrick, a Republican, cited the heated rhetoric from activists that has been directed at law enforcement. "All those protesters last night, they turned around and ran the other way expecting the men and women in blue to protect them. What hypocrites!" Patrick said on Fox News Friday. "I do blame people on social media with their hatred toward police. I do blame former Black Lives Matter protests. This has to stop." Texas State Rep. Bill Zedler echoed the sentiment on Twitter. University area landlords who gave big bucks to Syracuse politicians fight looming rental laws Posted: 09 Jul 2016 06:23 AM PDT SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A small group of university-area landlords who have successfully fought laws that would restrict their business are among the largest donors to city campaigns. A half-dozen Syracuse University-area landlords spent nearly $20,000 in last fall's Common Council races – 12 percent of all spending. Now, the council is preparing for fights over two landlord-focused pieces of legislation. Some former and current city councilors say those campaign donations buy influence, while others say their votes can't be bought. The Common Council is currently deliberating over a bill requiring consideration for housing voucher recipients and another mandating stricter inspections on rental properties. Each has been held up for weeks and will inevitably lead to a contested council battle. Several other resolutions that would adversely affect landlords have been rejected by the council or deemed illegal in the past several years. More |
Golden Sands condo guests report Legionnaires Disease Posted: 09 Jul 2016 06:15 AM PDT Following their stay at the Golden Sands condominium, 109th Street, last month, two guests have been diagnosed with Legionnaires Disease, a form of pneumonia. "Those individuals had recently stayed at the Golden Sands in Ocean City and both cases are being looked into by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Worcester County Health Department." In a letter to guests at the Golden Sands, the condominium management said since last November four people who vacationed at the facility were subsequently diagnosed with the disease. "Although Golden Sands is actively treating the water system, recent water samples continue to show the presence of Legionella in our potable water system," the letter said. Last November, the county tested the Golden Sands for the presence of Legionellosis, a severe infection that in 90 percent of cases can be traced to the L. pneumophila bacterium. More |
Feds: Democrat Congresswoman, chief of staff, used charity as "personal slush fund" Posted: 09 Jul 2016 06:07 AM PDT JACKSONVILLE, Fla.— Fifth District Congresswoman Corrine Brown (D-Fla.) has arrived at the Jacksonville Federal Courthouse ahead of a first appearance. The congresswoman was indicted Wednesday and the case details are just coming out. A federal case has also been filed against her chief of staff, Elias Simmons. Out of a 24 count indictment, Brown is facing 22 counts ranging fraud, conspiracy to commit mail fraud, making false statements, wire fraud, and more. Simmons is facing 19 counts. "Congresswoman Brown and her chief of staff are alleged to have used the Congresswoman's official position to solicit over $800,000 in donations to a supposed charitable organization, only to use that organization as a personal slush fund," said Assistant Attorney General Caldwell. "The defendants are alleged to have committed a multitude of criminal violations, including fraudulently receiving and using hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions meant for a nonprofit organization for their own personal and professional benefit," said Richard Weber, Chief, IRS Criminal Investigation. "The American public expects and deserves equitable enforcement of our tax laws." Brown is also charged with engaging in tax obstruction between 2008 and 2014. Simmons is also charged with theft of government property. The FBI says a relative of Simmons allegedly received $735,000 in government salary despite "performing no known work" and that Simmons diverted over $80,000 of that salary for his personal benefit. LEGENDARY COMMENTS BY GEORGE CHEVALLIER 7-9-16 Posted: 09 Jul 2016 06:00 AM PDT Saturday at the Ulman On a recent visit to the Plaza, I noticed some activity taking place on what has been a vacant lot for many years. The lot is next to Parker Place Antiques on the south side of Main St. Memories flashed back to the early 1950's and what that spot meant to anyone of my generation. The building that had occupied that space was the Ulman Theater and, if it was Saturday, they were playing a Western movie - and more. For the princely sum of ten cents, you were able to see the main feature, a cartoon, the Movietone news of the day and another segment of a serialized story that kept you coming back week after week. Before the events began, the theater was dimly lit just enough that the ever-present usher with his flashlight could throw an accusing beam of light upon anyone he suspected of chunking a Jujube at another attendee. When the lights dimmed and we had listened to at least thirty minutes of Humoresque, we knew the show was about to begin. A great roar went up and then silence. The show was about to begin and we did not want to miss a word. This was the end of an era for Salisburians that began in 1888 when the Ulman family opened their Grand Opera House in the same building. What started out as vaudeville and the occasional traveling opera company to give it the elegant name, the Ulman Opera House later changed to the silent films complete with accompanying piano player. When the "talkies" came out, they had them at the Ulman. While the original entertainment facility was on the second floor, the first floor was the Ulman's liquor store. With Prohibition came another change. The ground floor was now the Ulman Furniture Store. Until the Arcade Theater was built in 1914, the Ulman Opera House was the setting for any large gathering in Salisbury. Its 610 seat facility saw graduations, recitals and just about anything else that needed a large venue. It amazes me now that I could have elicited so much joy out of $.25. That was half my allowance. The other half had to be saved for our next summer's vacation. My Pop had a blue metal box that had six compartments in it for money. Those were certainly simpler times. |

Posted: 09 Jul 2016 05:30 AM PDT Earlier this week, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe to talk about the tragedy which took place late last Saturday evening in Orlando, Florida where 50 people were killed and dozens more were injured. It was the deadliest mass murder spree in U.S. history, and it just happened to occur during the middle of the most polarizing presidential race in quite some time. The Orlando Police Department and FBI are still sorting out all the facts in the aftermath, but believe this was connected to ISIS and the killer's religious beliefs, and perhaps his strong dislike of the gay community. Obviously throughout this election cycle, it has become apparent that Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton differ in their views on the Muslim community and terrorism as a whole. Donald Trump has stated he would implement a temporary ban on Muslims entering the country until there is a more safe and secure system in place to ensure no Muslims connected to terrorism enter the country. Mrs. Clinton believes it is imperative that we not label all Muslims but instead embrace whatever positives they might bring to the United States of America. More/Video |
Obama renews gun control push after 'senseless' Dallas murders Posted: 09 Jul 2016 05:15 AM PDT President Obama renewed his push for gun control measures Friday as he condemned the "senseless murders" of five Dallas police officers in a coordinated sniper attack overnight. The attack, which also injured at least seven, was carried out during an anti-police brutality protest. It was the nation's deadliest day for law enforcement since 9/11. Obama, speaking at the start of a NATO summit in Poland, decried the "vicious, calculated and despicable attack." He vowed "justice will be done" and voiced support for the "extraordinarily difficult job" of America's law enforcement officers. "Today is a wrenching reminder of the sacrifices that they make for us," Obama said. But before wrapping his remarks, the president once again returned to the issue of gun laws. "We also know that when people are armed with powerful weapons, unfortunately it makes attacks like these more deadly and more tragic, and in the days ahead we're going to have to consider those realities as well," Obama said. Farmer Killed in an Industrial Accident Posted: 09 Jul 2016 05:45 AM PDT Laurel - Troopers are investigating the death of a farmer who was fatally injured while fixing farm equipment in a field outside Laurel. The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 8 2016, as a 61-year-old Parsonsburg, Maryland man was operating a tractor, with a square baler attached in a field located near 11244 Whitesville Road. Attached behind the square baler was a "Bale Bandit", which is large piece of equipment that bands twenty bales together before discharging them as a single block onto the ground behind the machine. The man encountered an error with the Bale Bandit and called upon his 27-year-old son to help fix the problem. After clearing bales from the machine, his son informed his father that he was going to activate the machine to reset it. As the son walked to the tractor to do this, his father took a seat on a nearby bale of straw. When the son entered the tractor and activated the machine, he heard a scream and turned to see his father trapped inside the Bale Bandit. The investigation suggests the father possibly observed a broken band inside the machine and was attempting to remove it when the machine was activated. He was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries. Detectives are continuing their investigation. There are no signs of foul play. The body was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science. The name of the victim will not be released as is DSP practice when investigating these types of industrial incidents. |

Missouri police officer 'ambushed and shot' by black man during routine traffic stop Posted: 09 Jul 2016 04:28 AM PDT A police officer has been critically injured after he was 'ambushed' and shot during a traffic stop in Missouri. The white officer, who has not been named, was fired at three times by 31-year-old black man Antonio Taylor, police in St Louis said. The cop had his back turned when Taylor 'advanced quickly' from behind, leaving him 'completely helpless', St Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said. It is not clear if the attack has any connection to the shooting of 12 police officers in Dallas on Thursday, in which five cops died, but Taylor is not believed to have any link to the officer. The cop was walking back to his car after pulling over the motorist when he was attacked, Ballwin Police Chief Kevin Scott said. The officer was going to check the driver's details when the suspect got out of the vehicle and fired three times, the police chief said. The officer 'had no chance at all' to pull his handgun and 'was completely helpless,' Scott added, noting that the incident was recorded by the police car's dashcam. Taylor allegedly sped away after the shooting and was arrested four miles away after his car was spotted by an officer from a neighboring police department. More |

This amount equated to more than a quarter of the campaign's total operating expenditures this cycle. Mrs. Rush's payments increased again in 2010 to $119,400. She was paid $148,000 in 2012. She took in $66,000 in 2014. More here |

Judicial Watch to Defend Voters Challenging Maryland’s Congressional Redistricting Posted: 09 Jul 2016 03:45 AM PDT (Washington, DC) – A special, three-judge panel will consider a constitutional challenge to Maryland's gerrymandered congressional district map on Tuesday, July 12. Judicial Watch Attorney Robert Popper will appear before the panel on behalf of voters from each of Maryland's eight congressional districts. The plaintiffs challenging Maryland's congressional district plan include Maryland Delegates Neil C. Parrott and Matt Morgan, and former Maryland legislator and gubernatorial candidate Ambassador Ellen Sauerbrey. Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit on June 24, 2015, in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland against Maryland's state administrator of elections and the chair of the state board of elections (Parrott, et al., v. Lamone, et al. (No. 1:15-cv-01849)). The lawsuit argues that the Maryland maps were drawn in a way that violates Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, which requires that the "House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States …" The suit asks the court, among other relief, to declare the Maryland maps unlawful and require Maryland to redraw the maps. Hillary Clinton disqualifies herself Posted: 09 Jul 2016 03:30 AM PDT Hillary Clinton has disqualified herself from the presidency. No matter what your tribal politics may be, after FBI Director James Comey's withering testimony before Congress on Thursday over her email scandal, there really is no way around it, is there? She disqualified herself by her own hand. Mrs. Clinton, former secretary of state, has already proved she can't be trusted with national secrets. She put those secrets at risk by using a private email server kept in her basement, against security protocol. That server was likely hacked by foreign intelligence. She failed, miserably, in protecting the secrets of her nation. So for all this she should be rewarded and promoted and handed the near absolute power of an imperial presidency? And, she lied to the American people. That much is clear. She lied about what she did and how and why. There are tapes of it floating all about on the internet, lies to reporters, lies in those rare public appearances where she actually takes questions. More/Video |
Posted: 09 Jul 2016 03:15 AM PDT A House panel grilled FBI Director James Comey two days after he recommended against prosecuting former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for an email server scandal. In the hearing, South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy questioned Comey on the definition of intent and how Clinton could possibly evade punishment. The exchange grew heated at times, with comments like this one from Gowdy: "You and I both know intent is really difficult to prove. Very rarely do defendants announce 'On this date I intend to break this criminal code section. Just to put everyone on notice, I am going to break the law on this date.'" Here's a full transcript of the exchange: Gowdy: Good morning, Director Comey. Secretary Clinton said she never sent or received any classified information over her private e-mail, was that true? Comey: Our investigation found that there was classified information sent. Gowdy: It was not true? Comey: That's what I said. Gowdy: OK. Well, I'm looking for a shorter answer so you and I are not here quite as long. Secretary Clinton said there was nothing marked classified on her e-mails sent or received. Was that true? Comey: That's not true. There were a small number of portion markings on I think three of the documents. Gowdy: Secretary Clinton said "I did not e-mail any classified information to anyone on my e-mail there was no classified material." That is true? Comey: There was classified information emailed. News Alert: Clinton says FBI director was 'speculating' Posted: 09 Jul 2016 02:45 AM PDT Hillary Clinton broke her silence on the FBI's investigation into her email system Friday, arguing FBI Director James Comey had simply been "speculating" when he testified before Congress that her private server was likely hacked by hostile agents. "I just believed that the material that was being communicated by professionals ... they did not believe that it was [classified]," Clinton said during an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "I did not have a basis for second-guessing their conclusion and these [emails] were not marked. They were not marked. Read the full story here. |
