Source: Hillary Clinton To Meet With FBI On Saturday

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 09:00 PM PDT

Former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to meet Saturday with the FBI, a source close to the investigation into her private email server tells The Daily Caller.

The source went on to suggest the interview may take place at her Washington, D.C. home.

The bureau's interview with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is believed to be the final step in its investigation into the potential mishandling of classified information on Clinton's private email server.

Hundreds of now-classified documents — some of them "Top Secret" — were sent and received through Clinton's private server, which she housed at her New York residence during her tenure at the State Department.

EXCLUSIVE: Was Bill Plea Bargaining With Loretta Lynch?

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 08:00 PM PDT

When Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch met privately Monday in her jet in Phoenix, Arizona, some speculate he may have been pleading for his wife who is under investigation by the FBI and the Department of Justice. But the former president may also have been pleading for himself, according to a former federal prosecutor.

While political observers are focused on former Secretary of State and all-but-certain Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, her husband also has been a principal player behind the scenes at the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation.

Former U.S. Attorney Joseph DiGenova told the Daily Caller News Foundation the former President "is at least a witness in two criminal investigations, probably a subject in two criminal investigations. He is a person of interest officially to the Department of Justice," he said flatly.

Both the FBI and Justice Department have launched investigations into Hillary Clinton's use of a private server and email address for official U.S. government business during her tenure as the nation's chief diplomat.

Inventions created by women

1. The Car Heater

We all owe our thanks to Margaret A Wilcox who invented the car heater in 1893!
(Margaret also invented a combined clothes and dishwasher)

2. Monopoly

This popular board game was designed by Elizabeth Magie in 1904, originally called the Landlord's Game.
The purpose of this game was to expose the injustices of unchecked capitalism.
Her game was ripped off by Charles Darrow who sold it to Parker Brother's 30 years later.
However Parker Brothers later paid Elizabeth $500 for her game.
Gee Thanks!

3. The Fire Escape

The fire escape was invented by Anna Connelly in 1887

4. The Life Raft

The life saving Life Raft was invented by Maria Beasely in 1882. (Maria also invented a machine that makes barrels)

5. Residential Solar Heating

Solar heating for residential housing was invented by Dr Maria Telkes in 1947.
Dr. Telkes was a Psychiatrist in addition to being a Solar-Power Pioneer

6. The Medical Syringe

The medical syringe which could be operated with only one hand was invented by a woman by the name of Letitia Geer in 1899

7. The Modern Electric Refrigerator

The electric refrigerator was invented by Florence Parpart in 1914
(Florence also invented an improved street cleaning machine in addition to the refrigerator)

8. The Ice Cream Maker

The ice cream maker was invented by a woman named Nancy Johnson in 1843. Her patented design is still used today!

9. The Computer Algorithm

Ada Lovelace is essentially the first computer programer due to her work with Charles Babbage at the University of London in 1842.
In fact her notes was an essential key to helping Alan Turing's work on the first modern computers in the 1940s.

10. Telecommunications Technology

Some of the Telecommunication Technology developed by Dr Shirley Jackson include portable fax, touch tone telephone,
solar cells, fibre optic cables, and the technology behind caller ID and call waiting.

11. The Dishwasher

The Dishwasher was invented by Josephine Cochrane in 1887. Before her time, she even marketed her machine to hotel owners
and even opened her own factory without the help of a man!

12. Wireless Transmission Technology

Hedy Lamarr, a world famous film star, invented a secret communications system during World War II for radio-controlling torpedoes.
This Technology also paved the way for everything from Wi-Fi to GPS

13. Closed-Cercuit Television Security (CCTV)

Marie Van Brittan Brown invented CCTV because of the slow response of police officers in 1969 to help people ensure their own security.
This invention influenced modern CCTV systems used for home security and police work today.

14. The Modern Paper Bag

Margaret Knight invented a machine that makes square bottomed paper bags in 1871. She almost didn't get credit when Charles Anan
tried to steal her work claiming that it wasn't possible for a woman to create this brilliant invention. (Margaret also invented a safety
device for cotton mills when she was 12… that invention is still being used today)

15. Central Heating

Although Alice Parker's invention in 1919 of a gas powered central heater was never manufactured.
Her idea was the first that allowed for using natural gas to heat a home, inspiring the central heating systems used today

16. Kevlar

This life-saving material that is 5 times stronger than steel and used to make bulletproof vests was invented in 1965 by Stephanie Kwolek

17. Computer Software

Dr Grace Murray Hopper was a computer scientist that invented COBOL which is the first user-friendly business computer software system in the 1940's.
She was also a rear admiral in the U.S. navy and the first person to use the term "bug" in reference to a glitch in a computer system when she literally found a bug (moth) causing problems with her computer.

This Year’s White Marlin Open To Feature Streaming On Big Screens At Host Marina

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 06:30 PM PDT

OCEAN CITY — Jostling through the crowd, craning one's neck and pushing to the front is as much a tradition at the White Marlin Open as the big fish and big checks themselves, but a new wrinkle this year will help spectators and sportfishing enthusiasts enjoy more of the latter.

Hooked on OC, the popular locally owned and produced television show that documents every facet of the fishing scene in the resort area, is partnering with the White Marlin Open this year to live-stream all of the action at the host Harbour Island next month on two large screens mounted to the scale itself. The two, six-foot by 10-foot LED screens mounted on the north and south sides of the scale will capture all of the memorable sights and sounds of the world's largest billfish tournament for the thousands of spectators who cram into Harbour Island on each day of the tournament and for the countless others watching the action from afar.

"It's really going to be something very cool for the tournament," said Hooked on OC's Scott Lenox this week. "One of the big complaints we hear is they can't see past all of the people. We're going to alleviate all of that."

For years, the tournament has broadcast the action at the scale with a live feed on its website and that won't change this year. What will change is the quality of the production including crisp images of the boats pulling into the marina, the potential million dollar-plus fish being pulled from the boats and the dramatic moments when the scales teeter up and down before locking in on a final weight.

Rush: 'Levels of Violence We Have Not Seen' From Left if Trump Wins

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 06:00 PM PDT

Rush Limbaugh is predicting "levels of violence that we have not seen" by the left if Donald Trump is elected president.

In his daily broadcast Thursday, the conservative radio host said "intelligence guided by experience" shows the left is not going to "jut sit idly by and accept this and say, 'Good fight. We gave it everything we had, but we lost.'"

"They're gonna do everything they can to undermine it," he predicted. "And I think we're gonna see levels of violence that we have not seen… I think they're gonna do everything they can to see it that Trump never does get inaugurated."

Limbaugh drew a comparison with Secretary of State John Kerry's comment earlier this week on the vote in Britain to leave the European Union.

At the Aspen Institute's annual Ideas Festival in Colorado, Kerry was asked if the Brexit vote could be "walked back," and he replied there are several possible avenues, the Aspen Times reported.

"I just think it shows the arrogance of these people," Limbaugh said. "But there's a strategy here, and they're leftists."

Hillary Supporter Defends Private Email: She’s ‘Always Under The Microscope’

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 05:30 PM PDT

Hillary Clinton supporter and Democratic strategist Taryn Rosenkranz attempted to justify the former secretary of state's use of a private email server by arguing that "the Clintons are always under the microscope and have been for so many decades."

Appearing on "CNN Newsroom" on Friday, guest host Pamela Brown said, "People think that [Clinton] is untrustworthy. I mean she addressed that earlier this week, saying that's something she needs to work on. Does this feed into that and only call attention once again to the fact that the FBI is investigating her and her email use?"

Chris Christie Dodging New Bridgegate Shocker

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 05:00 PM PDT

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is under new scrutiny over Bridgegate following the disclosure that a personal email account he used during the massive, politically-motivated traffic jam triggered by his staff was never seen by investigators.

National Public Radio says an email account Christie shared with his wife, Mary Pat, was never searched despite the fact he used it to message David Samson, chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey which governs the operation of the George Washington Bridge.

As well, a cellphone in his pocket during the 2013 traffic debacle and text messages he sent and received during the investigation of the matter were also not provided to federal criminal investigators overseeing the case.

Court rejects convicted pedophile’s request for review

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 04:30 PM PDT

DOVER — On Wednesday, the Delaware Supreme Court dismissed a former Lewes pediatrician's petition to mandate considering a motion to review his 2011 conviction for sexually assaulting children in his care.

According to the three-page opinion, Superior Court has not improperly ignored Earl B. Bradley's motion, multiple memoranda and amendments requesting consideration for post-conviction relief.

Bradley was sentenced to 14 mandatory life sentences and 164 years at Level V imprisonment, which he is appealing for a third time.

" … Bradley has not established a clear right to the relief he seeks …" the Supreme Court decided. "… Under the circumstances, the passage of a few weeks or even a few months is not indicative of an arbitrary refusal to act."

Video Spoof’s ‘Pocahontas’ Warren With Ancestry.com Ad

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 04:00 PM PDT

The Media Research Center pasted together a spoof of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) using an ad for the lineage site Ancestry.com as a play on Warren's continually unsubstantiated claim that she is a descendant of Native Americans.

The spoof video that was released Tuesday uses an Ancestry.com ad with Warren's face planted on the actress's body as she talks about using the company's DNA service to find out who she is and where she came from. "I couldn't wait to get my pie chart," the video continues.

After socialist darling Warren ranted about Trump in March, calling him a loser on Twitter, he shot back calling her "the Indian" during a press conference. In May, Trump called Warren "Pocahontas" as he accused her of likely doing the least among U.S. Senators and mocking her ancestry claim, "She said she was an Indian… because her cheek bones were high."

Harvard appeared to have listed Warren as evidence of a diverse staff when she served there in the '90s. She listed herself as Native American in professional directories and as Cherokee for an entry in a Native American cookbook according to the Washington Post. The report also notes that while Warren claimed Cherokee and Delaware heritage, and Cherokee groups have called for documentation, she failed to produce it. The New England genealogical society could not find evidence of the native heritage.

U.S. District Court: Sheriff, deputies can't be held personally liable in wrongful-arrest suit

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 03:30 PM PDT

The U.S. District Court has dismissed part of a discrimination lawsuit against Frederick County and its sheriff, according to an order filed earlier this month.

The court determined that Sheriff Chuck Jenkins and his deputies cannot be held personally liable for arresting Roxanna Orellana Santos on a civil deportation warrant when she had committed no crime, the June 16 filing states.

The order also limits the scope of Santos' complaint. She accused the sheriff's office and deputies of unlawfully arresting her and violating her 14th Amendment right to equal protection under the law by targeting her due to her ethnicity. The court dismissed the latter claim, however.

The decision could make it harder for Santos to claim monetary damages, according to an attorney for the sheriff and county.

Santos took Jenkins, the arresting deputies and the then-Board of County Commissioners to court in 2009, seeking more than $1 million in damages.

Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen has launched his latest billboard ad attacking House Speaker Paul Ryan's open borders immigration agenda.

Reminiscent of the successful billboard campaign of the U.K. Independence Party (UKIP), Nehlen's billboard reads: "Paul Ryan Wants To Bring In Six Foreign Workers For Every One Wisconsin Worker. Why Does Paul Ryan Think American Workers Aren't Good Enough?"

This billboard will be featured in Kenosha and Burlington, Wisconsin.

This new ad follows a billboard Nehlen's campaign launched last week targeting Ryan's support for increased Islamic migration, which is on display in Ryan's hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin.

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — A professional single-A level hockey league has expressed interest in expanding into Salisbury.

Federal Hockey League Vice Commissioner Andrew "Sarge" Richards says the league, which is in its seventh year, is looking to broaden itself geographically and thinks Salisbury would be a good fit.

Wicomico County Parks and Recreation Director Steve Miller says the county is just beginning to examine the possibility of having a professional hockey team.

Richards says for a team to survive, each game would generally need to see 1,200 to 1,500 attendees at about $10 per ticket.

Navy Commander Surrendered to Iran to Protect Obama’s Nuclear Deal

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 02:00 PM PDT

The Navy commander in charge of a pair of patrol boats captured by Iranian forces in January opted to surrender rather than fight back, citing later fears that a confrontation could endanger the Obama administration's efforts to lock in a deal with Tehran on its nuclear program.

In an interview with investigators looking into the January incident, the commander said he surrendered the vessels after calculating that his sailors would not be in danger because Iran "wants this nuke deal to go through."

The interview was one of several stunning revelations in the often scathing 170-page report compiled by Navy investigators, chronicling the chain of events that led to the apprehension and detention of the 10 American sailors by the Iranian military after a pair of U.S. patrol boats drifted into the country's sovereign waters in the Persian Gulf.

The incident, which played out as President Obama was preparing his State of the Union address, proved deeply embarrassing to the U.S. military and roiled diplomatic relations between Tehran and Washington as they were trying to implement key measures in the deal to curb Iran's suspect nuclear programs.

Adm. John Richardson, chief of naval operations, said Thursday that the mishandling of the incident resulted from "the accumulation of a number of small problems" created by the U.S. sailors who strayed into Iranian waters all the way up to the senior commanders who led the Navy squadron and task force under which the unit served.

Report: More Blue Crabs in Chesapeake Bay This Year

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 01:30 PM PDT

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ/AP) — A report from the Chesapeake Bay Stock Assessment Committee shows the blue crab population in the bay has grown, but still hasn't met target levels.

Media outlets report the 2016 Bay Blue Crab Advisory Report found the overall population of blue crabs in the bay has grown from 411 million in 2015 to 533 million this year.

With about 4,480 square miles of Bay and tribal tributaries, that means there are about 118,973 crabs per square mile of the Chesapeake Bay.

To put that in perspective, using a rough measurement of 5 dozen (60) crabs per bushel, that would be about 1,983 bushels per square mile, and 8.9 million bushels total.

Gun Used in Paris Terrorist Attacks Came from 'Fast and Furious'

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 01:00 PM PDT

One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile "gun-walking" operation known as "Fast and Furious."

A Report of Investigation (ROI) filed by a case agent in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) tracked the gun used in the Paris attacks to a Phoenix gun owner who sold it illegally, "off book," Judicial Watch's law enforcement sources confirm. Federal agents tracing the firearm also found the Phoenix gun owner to be in possession of an unregistered fully automatic weapon, according to law enforcement officials with firsthand knowledge of the investigation.

The investigative follow up of the Paris weapon consisted of tracking a paper trail using a 4473 form, which documents a gun's ownership history by, among other things, using serial numbers. The Phoenix gun owner that the weapon was traced back to was found to have at least two federal firearms violations—for selling one weapon illegally and possessing an unregistered automatic—but no enforcement or prosecutorial action was taken against the individual. Instead, ATF leaders went out of their way to keep the information under the radar and ensure that the gun owner's identity was "kept quiet," according to law enforcement sources involved with the case. "Agents were told, in the process of taking the fully auto, not to anger the seller to prevent him from going public," a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch.

It's not clear if the agency, which is responsible for cracking down on the illegal use and trafficking of firearms, did this because the individual was involved in the Fast and Furious gun-running scheme. An ATF spokesman, Corey Ray, at the agency's Washington D.C. headquarters told Judicial Watch that "no firearms used in the Paris attacks have been traced" by the agency. When asked about the ROI report linking the weapon used in Paris to Phoenix, Ray said "I'm not familiar with the report you're referencing." Judicial Watch also tried contacting the Phoenix ATF office, but multiple calls were not returned.

Delaware Troopers Respond to Plane Crash

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 12:43 PM PDT

Laurel, DE- Delaware State Police responded to a crash involving a small airplane which occurred late this morning in Laurel.

The initial investigation has determined that the incident occurred this morning, Saturday, July 02, 2016 at approximately 10:34 a.m., as Justin Hoffman, 39, of Middletown, DE, was flying a Grumman G-164B Bi-Wing Crop Duster and was spraying watermelon fields in the area of East Trap Pond Road and Johnson Road, Laurel. After making a spray run the engine to the plane lost power and Hoffman attempted to make an emergency landing in an adjacent corn field. As Hoffman landed the plane in the soft soil, the nose of the aircraft dug into the ground causing the aircraft to roll onto it's roof. Justin Hoffman, who was the sole occupant of the plane, was able to walk away with only minor injuries.

The investigation into this incident was turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Are We Overusing The Tribute Of Flying Flag At Half-Staff?

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 12:30 PM PDT

NEW YORK (AP) — Nearly every day, somewhere in the country, the Stars and Stripes was lowered to half-staff last year in one of the most significant official gestures of mourning and respect, an Associated Press analysis found.

The centuries-old practice can be a visible, public answer to extraordinary loss, as when more than four dozen people were killed last month at a gay nightclub in Florida. But as the nation marks Independence Day on Monday, flag buffs have noted that the honor has been extended more widely over time, including to celebrities and police dogs. And some have questioned whether the country has lowered the bar on the lowering of the flag.

"It can be a very powerful symbol, but it can also be overdone to the point that it loses its significance," said John Hartvigsen, president of the North American Vexillological Association, a flag aficionados' group. "You can't spell everything out about this in rules and regulations, because it has so much to do with emotion."

Reporter: FBI ordered ‘no photos, no pictures, no cell phones’ during Clinton/Lynch meeting

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 12:00 PM PDT

Reporter Christopher Sign of ABC 15 in Phoenix, AZ appeared on The O'Reilly Factor Thursday night to talk about his scoop involving that secret meeting between former President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Watch the entire interview below. Sign lays out how the story developed and then he leaves this little nugget:

"The former president steps into her plane. They then speak for 30 minutes privately. The FBI there on the tarmac instructing everybody around 'no photos, no pictures, no cell phones.'"

First of all, it isn't the FBI's job to tell journalists or private citizens they can't take photographs of a former president and the Attorney General. What were the agents going to do, arrest people for taking a picture or video?

Also, if there was nothing wrong with the meeting and it was totally innocent, why were federal agents instructed to demand no one take a picture?

Finally, let's stop focusing on the fact that this meeting was inappropriate because Clinton's wife is under investigation by Lynch's Justice Department. I mean, that's bad, but it's actually letting Lynch and Clinton off the hook a bit. By focusing on the appearance of conflict because Hillary Clinton is being investigated, we are willfully overlooking the very real conflict in the fact that Clinton himself is under investigation, as the Grand Poo-bah at the Clinton Foundation. Judge Denies Efforts to Block Citizenship Verification of New Voters in Three States

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 11:00 AM PDT

A federal judge on Wednesday denied the request of a number of liberal groups who wanted to block a rule allowing states to verify the citizenship status of newly registered voters.

The lawsuit, which was brought forth by the League of Woman Voters and a number of other liberal groups, sought a preliminary injunction to prevent three states from using a rule issued in January by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC). The rule allows the states to use citizenship verification instructions in the federally mandated voter registration forms.

Brian Newby, the executive director of the EAC, granted requests from Kansas, Georgia, and Alabama on Jan. 29 after they had asked to modify the instructions contained on the National Voter Mail Registration Form—or "Federal Form"—that would make individuals registering to vote in those three states provide proof of citizenship in accordance with their respective laws and regulations.

United States District Judge Richard J. Leon denied the requests from the liberal groups for the time being, calling the preliminary injunction a "thinly veiled request for the relief normally accorded in a final judgment" and that the "demands are dramatized all the more by the fact that the United State Department of Justice has somehow decided to consent to such remarkable relief."

The Department of Justice refused to defend the actions of EAC, which is an independent federal agency. The Public Interest Legal Foundation, an Indiana-based election integrity group, stepped in to defend the states.

Camp Safe Harbor Makes A Difference For Families

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 10:30 AM PDT

SALISBURY – There is always a child at camp who quietly holds back. When that camp is Camp Safe Harbor, a three-day program designed to help grieving children with remembrance and resilience after the death of a loved one, that child can be a source of concern.

After hearing from the child's mother, however, the camp's leaders knew they were helping. In a note to camp staff, she wrote, "My daughter's personality and demeanor changed drastically with the loss and I was concerned I was losing her. After one day at your camp, you were able to give my daughter back to me. You saved her from the darkness she was in and brought the sunshine back into her life."

That recovery meets an essential goal of the camp: helping children from the four Lower Shore counties who have endured the loss of someone close to them. Camp Safe Harbor is a partnership between the Social Work Department of Salisbury University and the Bereavement program at Coastal Hospice.

Subject: Nearly 1 million immigrants — including more than 170K convicts — ignoring deportation

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 10:00 AM PDT

Nearly 1 million immigrants are ignoring deportation orders and remaining in the U.S. — including more than 170,000 convicted criminals, according to a new report Thursday that suggests the government's deportation efforts are still falling short.

Only a small fraction of the immigrants are even being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), meaning most of them remain free on the streets, where they can commit crimes and continue living in the shadows, according to the study by Jessica Vaughan, policy studies director at the Center for Immigration Studies.

"The fact that almost 10 percent of the illegal resident population has already been ordered removed and is still here illustrates just how dysfunctional our immigration enforcement system is. It also should be of great concern that 20 percent of them are conviction criminals, and that most of these are at large in our communities," Ms. Vaughan said.

She said the 925,193 aliens who were still here despite a deportation order break down into three categories. In some cases their home countries refuse to take them back, and U.S. officials feel constrained by law to release them; other times they are released by sanctuary cities, who help thwart deportations; and still others abscond on their own.

Mexicans account for the most aliens, with nearly 200,000 ignoring deportation orders. About a third of those are convicted criminals, Ms. Vaughan said. El Salvador accounts for more than 150,000 of the aliens, but just 10,000 of them are convicted criminals.

Democrats Adopt a Fascist Party Plank

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 09:53 AM PDT

The Democrat Party's totalitarian impulses have been formalized. In the final draft of this year's party platform, the Democratic Platform Drafting Committee unanimously adopted a provision "calling on the Department of Justice to investigate alleged corporate fraud on the part of fossil fuel companies who have reportedly misled shareholders and the public on the scientific reality of climate change." In short, the attempt to criminalize dissent is now an official party plank.

The committee was led by DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD). "As Democrats, we believe that our country's greatest strength is its people, and we're committed to the values of inclusion and opportunity for all," Wasserman Schultz said in a statement.

Apparently Wasserman Schultz is oblivious to her own hypocrisy. There is nothing remotely inclusive about such a "my way or the prosecutorial highway" take on science that is far from settled, despite all the orchestrated hysteria by Democrats and their media enablers. Yet if Democrats wish to prosecute fraud, perhaps they should start at the top of the so-called food chain, as in governmententities, not corporate ones, who have pushed an agenda in lieu of scientific fact.

Take the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Goddard Institute of Space Studies, for example. German Professor Dr. Friedrich Karl Ewert, a retired geologist and data computation expert, undertook a detailed study of NASA-GISS's temperature data series, going all the way back to 1881 and involving 1,153 stations. He discovered NASA-GISS had tampered with raw temperature data to literally invent global warming. Between 2010 and 2012 NASA-GISS altered its own data sets to show a post-WWII warming that never existed. Moreover, apart from the continent of Australia, the planet has been on a cooling trend.

The agency is not an outlier. The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has also cooked the books on more than one occasion, including on ocean temperatures to make the nearly two decade warming "hiatus" disappear.

It officially launched its ANGEL Program on Thursday, which encourages people looking to overcome their addiction to walk into the police station, turn over their drugs and paraphernalia and ask for help.

The process will not result in criminal charges or penalties. Instead, they will be assigned a volunteer "angel" who is trained to provide encouragement and advice in helping them on their road to recovery.

They will then be placed into a drug treatment program, such as Connections, which has outpatient clinics in Dover, Smyrna and Harrington, regardless of their financial means or insurance coverage.

The ANGEL Program is modeled after the Gloucester, Massachusetts, ANGEL Initiative. Gloucester's police department helped more than 450 people receive treatment since it started its program on June 1, 2015.

Cathy McKay, CEO of Connections Community Support Programs, lauded Dover's new approach to dealing with drug addiction.

Subject: New Documents Suggest IRS’s Lois Lerner Likely Broke the Law

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 09:37 AM PDT

It is likely the largest unauthorized disclosure of tax-return information in history: the transfer of some 1.25 million pages of confidential tax returns from the IRS to the Department of Justice in October of 2010. And it was almost certainly illegal.

The documents, which consisted chiefly of non-profit tax returns, were transferred to the DOJ's criminal division from the IRS at the request of Lois Lerner, who wanted to get the information to the DOJ in advance of a meeting where she and several of the attorneys in the public integrity section of the department's criminal division discussed their concerns about the increasing political activity of non-profit groups.

The Justice Department later told Congress that the documents contained confidential taxpayer information protected by federal law. The nature of that information hasn't been made public, but the so-called Schedule B form, for example, which non-profit groups are required to attach to their tax returns, known as 990s, asks for the names and addresses of donors to the organization.

But we already knew that. The transfer of information at Lerner's request came to light during a congressional investigation in 2014. What we know now, thanks to additional documents unearthed in years-long litigation by the good-government group Cause of Action, is that Lerner almost certainly broke the law when she transferred the documents. That casts a new light on the Justice Department's decision last year not to prosecute Lerner, who had become the face of the IRS's ham-handed effort to crack down on right-leaning groups, but against whom a criminal case might have been difficult to build.

"It took an organization over 50 months of investigation and multiple lawsuits to get clarity on the IRS's own compliance with the rules it enforces against others," says Dan Epstein, the executive director of the Cause of Action Institute and a former attorney for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. "The IRS, in the midst of its political targeting of groups engaged in policy advocacy, was engaging in the disclosure of millions of records aimed at ginning up prosecutions of these groups without going through the legally required channels."

Federal law prohibits the IRS from sharing tax returns filed with the agency, with very limited exceptions.

Reminders Issued About Nests After Hotel Fined For Clearing

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 09:30 AM PDT

OCEAN CITY — After a resort hotel was fined late last month by the Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) for having employees remove nests and gather over 40 eggs of protected bird species, the Maryland Coastal Bays Program (MCBP) is issuing reminders most of the 300 species of birds that call the watershed are federally protected and tampering with nests is illegal.

According to NRP spokesperson Candy Thomson, the NRP received a call from Ocean City Animal Control shortly after noon on May 27 that the manager of the Comfort Inn on the Boardwalk had directed staff to clear any nests or bird eggs from the facility's roof. The staff followed instructions and cleared the nests and put the eggs, some of which were just starting to hatch, in plastic bags.

Ocean City Animal Control took the eggs to a rehabilitator to see if they could be saved, according to Thomson. As a result, the hotel was fined $450 by the NRP for removing the nests, and while it might have been too late for those nests and eggs, the MCBP is reminding residents and property owners tampering with nests and eggs is illegal, especially with a critical nesting period for the endangered least tern getting underway. During the next few weeks, the least tern will start building nests on rooftops in Ocean City. The least tern is on the Maryland threatened species list and is federally protected as well, so the penalty for tampering with the species is significant, according to MCBP spokesperson Sandi Smith.

Regnery: Marilyn Mosby’s Disbarment Would Be A Fitting End to Her Politically-Motivated Prosecution of Baltimore Officers

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 09:23 AM PDT

An ethics complaint has beenfiled by a George Washington University law professor against Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby, asking the Maryland Bar Association to disbar her because of misconduct in her ill-fated indictment and prosecution of six police officers in the Freddie Gray case.

The complaint calls for an investigation into Mosby's conduct connected with her prosecution of the cases on several grounds, including:

that she did not have probably cause to believe that there was sufficient admissible evidence to support a conviction of the officers;
that she made public statements regarding the case which were false;
that she improperly withheld evidence from the defense that was exculpatory;
that she continued to prosecute cases after the judge assigned to hear the cases found insufficient evidence to support a conviction;
that she engaged in conduct that was dishonest, fraudulent, deceitful and which misrepresented the facts in the case.

Forced diversity training backfires, claims Harvard study

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 09:07 AM PDT

Diversity might be a good thing, but forced training in tolerance not only fails in the business world, it backfires, according to a new Harvard study.

Managers sent to mandatory diversity training sessions often come away resenting the very groups they are being encouraged to accept, according to the study, entitled "Why Diversity Programs Fail," and published in the latest edition of Harvard Business Review. It gets even worse when threats and punishments are imposed to ensure participation, the study found.

"People often respond to compulsory courses with anger and resistance," wrote authors Frank Dobbin, a professor of sociology at Harvard and Alexandra Kalev, a professor of social sciences at Tel Aviv University. "Your organization will become less diverse, not more."

The study looked at financial institutions, where in mandatory initiatives aimed at increasing diversity have not increased the number of white women and black men in managerial positions, the study claims. Five years after implementation of involuntary training, the proportion of minority managers either remained stagnant or declined — as much as 9 percent for black women.

"Mandatory diversity training sends exactly the message of control - and psychological research shows us time and time again [that] people resist control," Kalev told FoxNews.com in an email.

Veterans Charity Loses Appeal to Overturn Cease and Desist Order

Victory For Those Misled by Organization

ANNAPOLIS, MD –
Maryland Secretary of State John C. Wobensmith and Attorney General Brian E. Frosh today announced a final decision was issued in the case against the Southern Maryland Veterans Association and its director, Daniel T. Brashear. The final decision upholds multiple violations of the Maryland Solicitations Act, including misleading potential donors to a charitable organization, using false and misleading advertising in connection with a solicitation, and failing to register with the Secretary of State before soliciting, all of which Mr. Brashear must adhere to.

"A charity that cannot show it operates within the law will not be permitted to solicit charitable donations," said Secretary Wobensmith. "This decision is a victory for those who were misled and mistreated by this organization."

"I applaud the Secretary of State's final decision in this case," said Attorney General Frosh. "This case highlights why strong enforcement is needed to safeguard the generosity of Maryland donors and legitimate veterans charities."

The final decision follows a lengthy administrative review process to determine whether the charity could continue soliciting the public for charitable donations to run its programs.

Earlier this year, Secretary Wobensmith issued a cease and desist order against the charity, its principal, Daniel T. Brashear and an alleged former associate, Norman Randolph McDonald. Both Mr. Brashear and Mr. McDonald requested hearings to overturn the order, which were held March 9-10, 2016 before the Office of the Secretary of State.

On April 19, 2016, proposed decisions upholding the cease and desist order against both Mr. Brashear and Mr. McDonald, as well as the charity, were issued by the Secretary of State's designated hearing officer, Kathleen Smith. Mr. McDonald did not object to the proposed decision, which became final on May 5, 2016.

Mr. Brashear and the charity objected to the hearing officer's proposed decision. On June 7, 2016, Mr. Brashear presented his objections in person before Secretary Wobensmith at an exceptions hearing. As explained in the final decision announced today, Secretary Wobensmith decided to uphold the cease and desist order against the charity and Mr. Brashear.

The charity had been a visible presence outside grocery and retail stores in Southern Maryland prior to the cease and desist order. In response to multiple complaints, an investigation by the Secretary of State's Charities and Legal Services Division, aided by the Office of the Attorney General, showed that the organization was allegedly not assisting with the housing needs of veterans as claimed in marketing materials distributed at these various locations. The charity was also not registered with the Secretary of State.

The Office of the Secretary of State registers and regulates charitable organizations that solicit charitable contributions in Maryland. The Office works to ensure that charitable contributions made by Marylanders go to qualified charitable organizations and are used for the intended purpose.

Anyone who is solicited by this organization, or any representative on behalf of this organization, is encouraged to contact Michael Schlein, Investigator, Charities and Legal Services Division at 410-260-3879. To check if a charity is registered or to report other suspected violations of charitable giving law, please call 410-260-3879 or 1-800-825-4510. More information on charities can be found on the Secretary of State's charity home page: http://www.sos.state.md.us/Charity/SearchCharity.aspx.

Supreme Court Upholds Consideration of Race

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 08:45 AM PDT

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the University of Texas at Austin's consideration of race and ethnicity in college admissions. Some parts of the decision in the case, Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin, related to features unique to that university.

But other parts of the case will likely apply to admissions and financial aid policies in most of American higher education.

The court ruled that the primary reason that the plaintiff in the case was denied admission to the university was not its consideration of race in admissions, but its "10 percent plan," in which the top 10 percent of high school graduates are admitted to the public college or university of their choice.

The university does have "a continuing obligation" to meet the legal test of "strict scrutiny" by "periodically reassessing the admission program's constitutionality, and efficacy, in light of the school's experience and the data it has gathered since adopting its admissions plan, and by tailoring its approach to ensure that race plays no greater role than is necessary to meet its compelling interests," the decision says.

At the time that the plaintiff was rejected for admission, however, the decision said, the university had met that burden.

"The record here reveals that the university articulated concrete and precise goals -- e.g., ending stereotypes, promoting 'cross-racial understanding,' preparing students for 'an increasingly diverse workforce and society,' and cultivating leaders with 'legitimacy in the eyes of the citizenry' -- that mirror the compelling interest this court has approved in prior cases," said the decision.

The decision was written by Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, generally considered a swing vote on many issues, but who has consistently in the past been skeptical of education policies based on race. He was joined by Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen G. Breyer and Sonia Sotomayor.

Fight Combatant Nearly Tazed

OCEAN CITY — A Pennsylvania man was arrested on numerous charges last weekend after first scrapping with a female victim and later police before ultimately being nearly tazed to be brought under control.

Around 2:30 a.m. last Friday, an Ocean City police officer was assisting with an arrest at an unrelated incident in the area of 8thStreet when he observed a male suspect screaming at a female. The victim was screaming for the suspect to get away from him, but the suspect, later identified as Zachary Gonzalez, 18, of Kingston, Pa., kept continually screaming "where is my [expletive deleted] phone?" according to police reports.

The officer approached the pair and observed Gonzalez grab the victim and begin pushing her backward. As the officer approached, his view of the pair was obstructed momentarily by a parked vehicle and bushes, but when Gonzalez and the victim emerged again, the officer observed the victim slap Gonzalez and continue to scream for him to leave her alone, according to police reports.

Meanwhile, several people in the area began to attempt to intercede on behalf of the victim. One female jumped between the combatants and attempted to move the victim away from Gonzalez. Another group of about 10 people emerged from a nearby apartment and attempted to prevent any further contact by Gonzalez against the victim, according to police reports.

White House refuses to say Lynch, Clinton meeting was a mistake

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 08:00 AM PDT

The top White House spokesman on Friday refused to criticize Attorney General Loretta Lynch for meeting privately with President Clinton this week, even though Lynch herself admitted the meeting "cast a shadow" over the ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of private email while she was secretary of state.

"I'm not going to second guess or offer my own backseat driving here," Josh Earnest said when asked if Lynch exercised poor judgment in meeting with Bill Clinton, at his request, on the tarmac of the Phoenix airport. "I'll let the attorney general speak to her schedule and to her handling of the significant responsibilities she has."

Earnest dodged a few more times, and at one point answered by offering a litany of Lynch's professional accomplishments.

"I think when it comes to judgment, I think there is no quarreling with the 30-year history that Loretta Lynch has established as a highly competent, highly successful federal prosecutor," he said.

Curing Our Coast, What Purpose Does Drug Court Serve On Addiction Front

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 07:30 AM PDT

SNOW HILL — A young woman wearing a pink tank top and striped yoga pants walks into the Worcester County Circuit Court house carrying her young son, who has likely not yet celebrated his second birthday. The flopping of her flip-flops against her heels reverberate throughout the quiet courtroom as she turns off her cell phone without prompting and accepts a sheet of paper from a court official. She sits down in a section of the courtroom where dozens of other people ranging in ages from 18 to 60 are seated. Some exchange pleasantries while others are poker faced and either staring at a spot on the ceiling or at something in their shoelaces. All of the people are dressed more for the gym or to cut the lawn than they are to appear in court. Many of their faces are glazed in a blank and somewhat vacant stare, but all of the faces in this courtroom are noticeably weathered with countless miles traveled down the wrong road or path.

If you really want to get a true snapshot of what the heroin epidemic in Worcester County looks like, drug court would be a good place to start.

As the woman sits and calms her baby with a pacifier, an officer leads three shackled prisoners into the courtroom and seats them in a different pew to the left of the bench. Entering the courtroom next is a team of lawyers and court coordinators, each carrying larger stacks of case files than the next. Soon, all in the hall will stand as Judge Thomas C. Groton III enters the room, strikes his gavel and starts calling each of the 30 or so people in the hall to the stand one by one.

Trump's VP Shortlist Revealed

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 07:15 AM PDT

Donald Trump's campaign has begun formally vetting possible running mates, with former House speaker Newt Gingrich emerging as the leading candidate, followed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. But there are more than a half dozen others being discussed as possibilities, according to several people with knowledge of the process.

Given Trump's unpredictability, campaign associates caution that the presumptive Republican nominee could still shake up his shortlist. But with little more than two weeks before the start of the Republican National Convention, Gingrich and Christie have been asked to submit documents and are being cast as favorites for the post inside the campaign. Gingrich in particular is the beneficiary of a drumbeat of support from Trump confidants such as Ben Carson.

A number of senators — including Jeff Sessions (Ala.) and Bob Corker (Tenn.) — are also being reviewed as viable picks, although the extent to which they are being vetted is unclear. A longer shot on Trump's radar is Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, a heavyweight on the right who could bolster Trump's tepid support among some conservative activists.

But Pence is immersed in his reelection race and Trump is said to want a more electric politician at his side rather than a low-profile figure. Most of his primary rivals are reluctant to sign on, and tensions with Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Sen. Ted Cruz (Tex.) remain raw.

As a Psychiatrist, I Diagnose Mental Illness. And, Sometimes, Demonic Possession.

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 07:00 AM PDT

In the late 1980s, I was introduced to a self-styled Satanic high priestess. She called herself a witch and dressed the part, with flowing dark clothes and black eye shadow around to her temples. In our many discussions, she acknowledged worshipping Satan as his "queen."

I'm a man of science and a lover of history; after studying the classics at Princeton, I trained in psychiatry at Yale and in psychoanalysis at Columbia. That background is why a Catholic priest had asked my professional opinion, which I offered pro bono, about whether this woman was suffering from a mental disorder. This was at the height of the national panic about Satanism. (In a case that helped induce the hysteria, Virginia McMartin and others had recently been charged with alleged Satanic ritual abuse at a Los Angeles preschool; the charges were later dropped.)

So I was inclined to skepticism. But my subject's behavior exceeded what I could explain with my training.

She could tell some people their secret weaknesses, such as undue pride. She knew how individuals she'd never known had died, including my mother and her fatal case of ovarian cancer. Six people later vouched to me that, during her exorcisms, they heard her speaking multiple languages, including Latin, completely unfamiliar to her outside of her trances. This was not psychosis; it was what I can only describe as paranormal ability. I concluded that she was possessed. Much later, she permitted me to tell her story.

Col. Derek Harvey: John Kerry 'Must Be Smoking Dope'

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 06:53 AM PDT

Secretary of State John Kerry "must be smoking dope" for saying Wednesday that the deadly Istanbul attacks proved that the Islamic State is "desperate" and is "losing" in its terrorism battle with the West, retired Army Col. Derek Harvey told Newsmax TV.

"They're ignoring the intelligence — and I think Secretary Kerry, I hate to say it, must be smoking dope," Harvey told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. "He is not paying attention to the intelligence and he does not understand the enemy with his statements."

Harvey is a former senior intelligence officer and adviser to Army Gen. David Petraeus.

At the Aspen Ideas Festival in Colorado, Kerry noted that a year had passed since ISIS — to which he referred as Daesh — had carried out a "full-scale military offensive" because of efforts by the U.S.-led coalition.

"Now, yes, you can bomb an airport, you can blow yourself up," Kerry said. "That's the tragedy. Daesh and others like it know that we have to get it right 24/7/365.

"They have to get it right for 10 minutes or one hour. So, it's a very different scale.

"And if you're desperate, and if you know you're losing, and you know you want to give up your life — then, obviously, you can do some harm."

Former California Prosecutor, Defense Attorney Files Complaint Against Mosby

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 06:15 AM PDT

A retired California prosecutor and defense attorney says he's so outraged by the actions of Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby that he filed a grievance from the other side of the country.

The filing from Martin C. Brhel Jr. is the second such complaint against Mosby for her handling of the trials in the death of Freddie Gray. Brhel said he has no connection to Baltimore or Maryland.

"The only indirect contact I have with it other than the fact that I have friends that live in Maryland is the fact that as a retired prosecutor, I am highly offended at the way Ms. Mosby, in my humble opinion... is persecuting six innocent police officers."

He said a prosecutor has an ethical duty to only file cases where probable cause exists, and where they honestly believe they can convince a jury to convict. He said the answer to both questions for all six Baltimore officers charged in Gray's death is no.

Obama’s Unaccompanied Minors Are Committing Horrific Crimes

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 06:07 AM PDT

The MS-13 gang is well-known for committing violent and brutal crimes.

And those crimes have been increasing across the D.C. region.

David LeValley, special agent in charge at the FBI's Washington Field Office, saw the rise of MS-13 nearly 10 years ago, followed by a lull two years later after law enforcement cracked down.

Now LeValley, special agent in charge at the FBI's Washington Field Office, says the gang is back.

"We have seen increased activity and that activity is mirrored by what they're seeing in Central America."

Authorities say gang leaders in El Salvador and Guatemala are trying to establish a greater presence here-especially Northern Virginia-for profit through drugs, theft, and extortion.

The mass migration of unaccompanied minors from Central America into the States in 2014 created a whole new crop of recruits. And these young men, some of them just 14 or 15 years old, are committing horrific crimes, such as decapitation and stoning.

Little League in the 1950'S

(The KC-Knights of Columbus-cap on the left is from 1956.
The R-Rotary-cap on the right is a Little Minor League cap from 1954)

When Little League came to Salisbury in the 1950's, the entire atmosphere of baseball was much different than it is today. The Major League stars were protected by a code of ethics practiced by the press that never manifested the players' frailties or human weaknesses. We thought of players such as Mantle, Mays, Aaron and Musial as "the baseball gods" and never heard any adverse news about them or their private lives.

So, to be a baseball player meant that you had to follow the rules and "act right". There were only four Little League teams in Salisbury until 1955 and these were financed and sponsored by the Lions, the Rotary, the Exchange Club and the Moose. To make a team bestowed on you a certain air of greatness. The players wore their coveted team hat day and night so that everybody knew you were a ball player. Tryouts were a simple process of a one day tryout just as they are today. The big difference was the process of announcing who made which team. The selections were published in The Salisbury Times and nothing was more eagerly anticipated by the youth of Salisbury than this announcement - in print no less. The disappointment of those not selected was certainly a blow to their ego, but like every other disappointment in those days, they "got over it". A lot of them made the "minors". The four original teams each had a minor league team until 1955 and the players got a hat and T-shirt. This took up the summer for 120 boys and that was pretty much every boy in Salisbury that wanted to play baseball. In 1955 another Little League was formed with teams sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, the B'nai Brith, the Elks and the Odd Fellows.

To wear the uniform meant you were a baseball player and everybody gave you the respect that was due such a lofty status. Any kid in America would have given his right arm (after the season) and played for nothing to have the opportunity to play in the Big Leagues. No one from Salisbury ever made it to "the show", but that didn't stop us from imagining that the Little League Field in City Park wasn't Yankee Stadium. Or that we weren't playing in the seventh game of the World Series every time we took the field.

In simpler times, before all the distractions available to kids today, Little League baseball was the only game in town during those long, lazy days of summer.

Clinton sought secret info on EU bailout plans as son-in-law's doomed hedge fund gambled on Greece

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 05:15 AM PDT

Hedge fund manager Marc Mezvinsky had friends in high places when he bet big on a Greek economic recovery, but even the keen interest of his mother-in-law, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, wasn't enough to spare him and his investors from financial tragedy.

In 2012, Mezvinski, the husband of Chelsea Clinton, created a $325 million basket of offshore funds under the Eaglevale Partners banner through a special arrangement with investment bank Goldman Sachs. The funds have lost tens of millions of dollars predicting that bailouts of the Greek banking system would pump up the value of the country's distressed bonds. One fund, exclusively dedicated to Greek debt, suffered near-total losses.

Clinton stepped down as secretary of state in 2013 to run for president. But newly released emails from 2012 show that she and Clinton Foundation consultant, Sidney Blumenthal, shared classified information about how German leadership viewed the prospects for a Greek bailout. Clinton also shared "protected" State Department information about Greek bonds with her husband at the same time that her son-in-law aimed his hedge fund at Greece.

The Unseen War Still Waging Inside The Minds Of Many Veterans

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 05:00 AM PDT

By Daniel G. Amen, M.D., and Max Cleland

Most people probably think wars end when the shooting stops.

But that's not the case for those who do the fighting. For them, the war lives on long after they return home and try to resume normal lives.

One of us, Max Cleland, knows from experience. He lost both legs and his right arm to a grenade explosion in Vietnam in the 1960s. Even after the physical injuries healed, even after the rehabilitation was over, the emotional anguish continued. And in truth, nearly 50 years later, that aspect still hasn't completely healed.

Sadly, today as military men and women return home from war zones, there's still plenty of room for improvement in mental heath care for veterans. The suicide rate is unacceptably high and the success rates for PTSD, depression and anxiety disorders haven't improved in years.

Meanwhile, veterans, their families and society as whole will be dealing with the fallout from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for another 70 years – at least. PTSD, depression, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI) all increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

That's why the United States must do whatever it can to improve mental health care for those injured in war. It's a moral obligation.

From firsthand experience, Max can tell you that the treatment path can be slow, frustrating and sometimes terrifying. Often those treatments are ineffective, and that can be demoralizing and make those who suffer reluctant to seek further care.

There are also practical problems. Many veterans wounded in wars can't undergo a brain MRI because of the shrapnel in their bodies. CT scans are possible, but they don't show the full picture of what's happening with the brain.

But an alternative is emerging. An imaging study called SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) measures how well blood flows through the brain and can be performed safely on veterans who have shrapnel.

Two recent studies, one with 196 veterans and another with more 20,000 patients, reported that SPECT could distinguish between PTSD and TBI with clinically significant accuracy. The study with the larger number of patients, led by Dr. Amen, was highlighted as one of the Top 100 Stories in Science for 2015 by Discover Magazine.

Being able to distinguish between PTSD and TBI is important because they can have overlapping symptoms, such as insomnia, anxiety, depression and concentration problems. But the treatments for them are different. Some treatments that help people with PTSD can actually be harmful to those with TBI.

The results of a SPECT scan also might give veterans who suffer from these conditions a new perspective on themselves.

Fewer than half of people with mental health problems ever seek help. One major reason: No one wants to be labeled mentally ill, defective or abnormal.

This is especially true in the military where bravery and self-reliance are highly valued, and many believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness, or even a moral failing.

Seeing their own abnormal functional scans could help these veterans reframe their problems as brain-based and medical, rather than as moral, decreasing the shame and the stigma. At least that's how it worked for Max, who had a SPECT scan that showed evidence of both PTSD and TBI.

In addition, knowing that the structure of the brain is normal, but the function abnormal, can give them hope that they could get better if they are diligent about rehabilitation.

So consider this: What if we reimagine mental health as brain health? This one simple idea could shift the negative attitudes many people have about mental illness, decrease stigma, and increase the willingness to get help among those who most need it.

We envision a time – hopefully not too far into the future – when mental health problems will be evaluated and treated like other medical issues, and physicians will use functional imaging tools, genetics, and other markers to guide treatment — just as cardiologists, oncologists or orthopedists do to help their patients today.

Daniel Amen, M.D. is a clinical neuroscientist and brain imaging expert who heads Amen Clinics, which are located in Orange County, Calif., Atlanta, San Francisco, New York City, Washington, D.C., and the Seattle area. He has written numerous books, including "Healing ADD" and "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life." Dr. Amen also has appeared as a guest on such TV shows as "The View" and was a consultant for the movie "Concussion."

Max Cleland is a disabled U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a recipient of the Silver Star for valor, former head of the Veterans Administration, and U.S. Senator from Georgia. He is a strong advocate for veterans and all of those who struggle with mental health issues.

Bill Clinton’s Loretta Lynch Meeting Part of his ‘Soft Intimidation’ Campaign

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 03:30 AM PDT

Retired U.S. Secret Service officer Gary Byrne told Breitbart News exclusively that former President Bill Clinton's secret meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch was a form of "soft intimidation" he became all too familiar with when he used to stand guard outside Clinton's Oval Office.

"I know all too well how the Clintons use intimidation – it was often soft intimidation, and other times not so soft – to get their way," Byrne, the author of the newly released book on the Clintons, said in an email. "They are doing this to Loretta Lynch. They are doing it with my book to keep the mainstream media from covering it. And they will keep abusing their power if they get back into office. These tactics show their crisis of character."

Earlier this week, on the tarmac at Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport, Lynch had a secret meeting with Bill Clinton. Since Lynch's Department of Justice (DOJ), along with the FBI, are investigating Bill's wife and 2016 presumptive presidential nominee Hillary Clinton over her home-brew email server which violated State Department guidelines—a criminal investigation—the meeting has sparked widespread concern over whether Lynch is an impartial investigator or politically motivated to clear Hillary Clinton of a potential looming indictment.

Food Monopoly Aimed at Controlling Population Destroys Environment and Poses Serious Threat to Human Health

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 03:00 AM PDT

By Dr. Mercola

"Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people." ~ Henry Kissinger, Ph.D.

"In so many poorer countries food is money, food is power." ~ Catherine Bertini, executive director of the U.N.'s World Food Program1

Yes, food is power, and all around the world we now see how the monopolization of the food supply has created a vast gulf between the "have" and the "have nots." Far from fostering greater food security, we've become more food insecure than ever before.

It's quite simple really. If you have access to clean, nutritious food, you survive and thrive. If you don't, disease and premature death is your lot.

Today, malnutrition is not a problem relegated to developing countries. Never before have affluent nations had so many malnourished yet obese people — a paradox rooted in a poor and toxic diet, churned out by industrial crop growers, concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs) and fish farms.

The strategy to control people by controlling the food supply, first through the conversion from many small farms to fewer, gigantic farming operations and associated price fixing schemes, and later through the creation of genetically engineered (GE) seeds, effectively destroyed family farming both in the U.S. and abroad.

Sean Hannity EXPOSES Polls Showing Hillary Leading by Double Digits AS TOTAL FRAUDS

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 02:30 AM PDT

It felt wrong….. and now we know for a fact our skepticism was correct. The national polls showing Hillary with a double digit lead have been proven to be completely fraudulent as they are using unrealistic sample sizes heavily weighted towards democrats.

What is the truth? Who knows exactly. A recent NBC / WSJ poll has Hillary leading Trump by one in a 4-way race and we all know NBC/WSJ are NOT fans of Trump. Could all the National polling be a ruse meant to demoralize the Trump movement?

REMEMBER – NEVER, EVER Trust the Corporate-Owned Globalist Mainstream Media. Their "job" is to push Globalist Hillary over the top against the Trump movement to take America back.

More than 925,000 Illegals With Final Deportation Orders Remain in the U.S.

Posted: 02 Jul 2016 01:30 AM PDT

More than 925,000 illegal immigrants with final orders of removal remain in the United States, most living in communities and towns across the country in defiance of their deportation orders, according to a new report released Friday — the one-year anniversary of the murder of Kathryn Steinle.

Department of Homeland Security information provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee and obtained by Center for Immigration Studies director of policy Jessica Vaughan reveals that as of July 4, 2015 there were 925,193 illegal immigrants with final orders of deportation in the U.S., nearly 20 percent (or 179,040) of whom have at least one criminal conviction.

More than 913,820 (or nearly 99 percent) of the illegal immigrants who remain in the U.S., despite final orders of removal are not detained, instead living freely in U.S. Of those non-detained illegal immigrants, 172,135 have at least one criminal conviction to their name.

In other words, of the illegal immigrants who have been convicted of a crime and have been ordered removed, 96 percent are at large in neighborhoods across the nation.

As Vaughan highlights, about 60 percent of the illegal immigrants still in the U.S., in defiance of deportation orders, come from just four countries: Mexico (187,384), El Salvador (159,509), Honduras (120,118) and Guatemala (99,201).
