Bill to cap insulin insurance co-pays at $30 passes in Virginia House Posted: 04 Feb 2020 07:30 PM PST RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) — A bill that would prohibit insurance companies from charging more than a $30 co-pay for a 30-day supply of insulin passed the Virginia House of Delegates on Tuesday. The vote for Delegate Lee Carter's HB 66 was nearly unanimous at 98-1. Delegate Matthew Fariss (59th District) voted no, and Delegate Nick Freitas (30th District) did not vote. The bill now awaits approval by both the State Senate and Governor Ralph Northam. It comes as insurance prices have skyrocketed in the past two decades for the more than 7.5 million diabetic Americans who rely on it, despite no change to the drug, with the average price for a 20-milliliter vial going from about $20 to more than $250, according to a House of Representatives report in March 2019. The price of a vial tripled between 2002 and 2013, and nearly doubled from 2012 to 2016. More |

Trump Slams Dems' "Unmitigated Disaster" In Iowa: "Nothing Works, Just Like They Ran The Country" Posted: 04 Feb 2020 06:00 PM PST President Trump just can't stop winning. Not only did Dems fail to win enough Republican votes to call John Bolton to testify at the president's impeachment trial in the Senate (which so far has attracted a tiny fraction of the attention paid to the Senate trial of former President Clinton), but in one of the greatest unforced errors in American political history, they also botched the Iowa caucus, helping to restore the widespread cynicism that permeated the 2016 contest. And since Trump isn't the kind of politician to resist taking a victory lap, he did just that Tuesday morning in a scathing tweet reminding Americans why they shouldn't trust the Democrats to run the country. The Democrat Caucus is an unmitigated disaster. Nothing works, just like they ran the Country. Remember the 5 Billion Dollar Obamacare Website, that should have cost 2% of that. The only person that can claim a very big victory in Iowa last night is "Trump".— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 4, 2020 More |
App blamed for botched Iowa caucus created by Hillary Clinton campaign alum Posted: 04 Feb 2020 05:30 PM PST The app blamed for Iowa's stalled Democratic caucus results was slapped together by an alum of Hillary Clinton's failed 2016 presidential campaign. Gerard Niemira, CEO of Shadow Inc. — the company tapped by the Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) to build an app for reporting the results of the crucial, first-in-the-nation caucus — served as director of product on Clinton's 2016 campaign. As of early Tuesday, the IDP had still not released the results of the chaotic caucus. Shadow's role in building the app was not publicly known before the failed rollout. More |

Is the Coronavirus Outbreak China's Chernobyl? Posted: 04 Feb 2020 04:30 PM PST To refresh our memories, it was in 1986 when the No. 4 nuclear reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded and was burning as the solid fuel rods of Uranium melted down. The smoke and steam from the fire and firefighting spread across Northern Europe and the Russian steppes. The number of deaths attributed to this disaster could be as high as 100,000 but accepted estimates are closer to 27,000. It was the failure of the Soviet system in dealing with a coordinated response that shook the faith of the people. They began to question whether the Soviet government had abandoned the interests of the people in favor of propaganda. The conclusion was that it certainly was not the health and welfare of the people which was first and foremost in Soviet governmental policy. Gorbachev himself wrote in 2006: "The nuclear meltdown at Chernobyl… was perhaps the true cause of the collapse of the Soviet Union."It is clear that Gorbachev could not bring himself to admit that it was Ronald Reagan's foreign policy which was the underlying cause. Regardless of the causes of the collapse, it seems history is about to repeat itself. More |

Dr. Francis Boyle Creator Of BioWeapons Act Says Coronavirus Is Biological Warfare Weapon Francis Boyle is a professor of international law at the University of Illinois College of Law. He drafted the U.S. domestic implementing legislation for the Biological Weapons Convention, known as the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, that was approved unanimously by both Houses of the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President George H.W. Bush. In an exclusive interview given to Geopolitics and Empire, Dr. Boyle discusses the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China and the Biosafety Level 4 laboratory (BSL-4) from which he believes the infectious disease escaped. Europe's Green Deal: Same Hysteria, Same Destruction Posted: 04 Feb 2020 02:00 PM PST Today's brand of the left-leaning politician is all about substituting what sounds good for what actually works. Modern politics, whether in the U.S. or Europe, is about taking a chainsaw to everything that produced even a modicum of success to appease the deities espousing progressive orthodoxy. There is no better example of this than fossil fuels, energy sources that have lifted us out of destitution and darkness and given us incredible wealth the world had never witnessed. What is the left interested in doing? Confiscation, cronyism, centralization, and coercion to combat climate change. The European Union will achieve these objectives through the boondoggle-in the-making Green Deal. What Is The Green Deal? The European counterpart is a bit more realistic than the American version, aiming for net-zero emissions within 30 years rather than in a decade. But that is probably the best thing you can say about this proposal, which was approved by the European Parliament – some policymakers had requested even greater ambitions to be inserted inside the climate change scheme. Overall, the Green Deal is bad economics that will affect the already dreary conditions of Europe and exacerbate the slowdown. More |
LOOMING PAPER BAG SHORTAGE SHOWS YOU CAN’T SAVE THE PLANET BY BANNING PLASTIC ONES Posted: 04 Feb 2020 01:30 PM PST The plastic bag has become anathema to the effort of saving Mother Nature from humans' toxic ways. But humans are now being blindsided by a shortage of paper bags – which have proven to be an even worse alternative. With the old-fashioned single-use plastic bags sent to an extinction rebellion fiery hell, we are being told that the only way forward is recycling, and using environmentally-friendly alternatives made of paper, cotton, polyester or other suitable materials. Seventy-four countries have banned single-use plastic bags made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic with varying degrees of enforcement, and 37 countries now impose a charge per bag. New York State will also join the full ban from March 1 this year, but as the need for paper bags increases, the retail industry is facing a volume crisis. More |
How long will it take for Joe Biden to give good answer to Hunter questions? Posted: 04 Feb 2020 01:00 PM PST Joe Biden really doesn't want to talk about son Hunter's Ukraine windfall and thinks it's outrageous that the media keep asking about it. Don't they know whose side they're on? The latest Biden blowup came Monday, as NBC's Savannah Guthrie brought up the 50-grand-a-month Hunter drew from Ukrainian natural-gas firm Burisma — though Hunter knew zip about Ukraine or gas, except that dad was the White House point man on Ukraine. "No one's found anything wrong with his dealings with Ukraine except they say it sets a bad image," Joe answered. "Do you agree it sets a bad image?" Guthrie asked. The ex-veep's reply: "Yes, and my son said that." More |

Creepy Joe Biden Kisses 19-Year-Old Granddaughter on the Lips at Campaign Event Posted: 04 Feb 2020 11:30 AM PST As if his previously documented behavior with women and young girls wasn't creepy enough, during a campaign rally in Iowa on Sunday, former Vice President Joe Biden invited his 19-year-old granddaughter, Finnegan Biden, the daughter of Hunter Biden, to speak with him on stage, and the two grossed a lot of people out on social by kissing each other... on the lips. Posted: 04 Feb 2020 10:30 AM PST The pace is picking up in Annapolis as the deadline to introduce legislation is fast approaching. Senator Carozza testified in support of legislation to create a fairer eviction process for all parties involved in Wicomico County. Senator Carozza voted to sustain Governor Larry Hogan's vetoes on legislation that was considered during the 2019 legislative session. Senator Carozza also participated in a special Women's Caucus event commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment. CAROZZA TESTIFIES IN SUPPORT OF PRIORITY LOCAL LEGISLATION Senate Bill 176—Wicomico County— Landlord and Tenant— Repossession for Failure to Pay Rent— Procedures was heard in the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee on Tuesday, January 28. This legislation was introduced by Wicomico County Senators Adelaide Eckardt and Mary Beth Carozza. Senate Bill 176 would provide more notice to a tenant facing eviction so they can remove their belongings from the property. Officials from the Wicomico County Government and City of Salisbury testified in support of this bill. "This local, targeted bill makes for a more efficient eviction process, provides increased protections for consumers, reduces blight in local neighborhoods, and frees up law enforcement for other priorities," Senator Carozza said during her testimony in strong support of Senate Bill 176. CAROZZA STANDS WITH WATERMEN IN OVERRIDE DEBATE, SUPPORTS COMMON SENSE VETOES The full Senate on Thursday, January 30, 2020 reconsidered legislation that Governor Larry Hogan vetoed in 2019. One of those bills was Senate Bill 830, which reestablishes the Oyster Advisory Commission with new membership and requires the Department of Natural Resources to develop new consensus recommendations for enhancing the fishery management plan for oysters. "It [Senate Bill 830] destroys the good-faith effort of time and resources devoted by all the stakeholders—DNR, the Oyster Advisory Commission, the watermen, and the environmental groups," Senator Carozza said during her testimony in support of Governor Hogan's veto, which was overridden on party lines. "This bill does an end run around the various stakeholder groups and causes a delay on moving forward with oyster management...and destroys the trust of our working watermen and their families. I will be voting to sustain the Governor's veto, and encourage my colleagues who will not be, to support initiatives that include and are fair to our watermen and be part of the process to rebuild trust, remembering that a waterman is on our Maryland State Seal." However, it has been discovered the man has since had two children with an Irish woman, and now prosecutors are pushing for his immediate deportation. More |

In reality the funds are distributed to organizations including the Clinton Health Access Initiative and George Soros's Open Health Institute. Corey Diggs put together a report that shows that efforts to combat HIV AIDS may just be fronts for money laundering schemes ran by the Clintons and George Soros. The story begins in August 2000, a few months before Bill Clinton's second term ends. On August 19, 2000: Bill Clinton signed a bill establishing the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, intending to locate it inside the World Bank in Switzerland. In her efforts to unfold the truth, Diggs uncovered that money sent from the US to help fight AIDS actually ends up in the hands of the likes of George Soros: More |

Further, Hua said that "certain U.S. officials' words and actions are neither factual nor appropriate." Hua complained that such "unfriendly U.S. comments" were "certainly not a gesture of goodwill" toward China as the death toll from the virus continues to grow. More |

Their genius takeaway from their soul-crushing defeat in trying to impeach Donald Trump for the crime of revealing the massive corruption of Senile Joe and his son Snorty Strippertap is that Trump might decide to never leave office. That's a good point. What would they do if he didn't? Take up arms like real men would? Yeah, right. More |

Trump acquittal to spur more House Democratic investigations Posted: 04 Feb 2020 06:30 AM PST President Trump's looming acquittal in his Senate trial doesn't mean he'll be off the hook in the Democrat-held House that impeached him. If anything, say House Democratic lawmakers, investigations are likely to ramp up in the nine months before Election Day. That means the Senate impeachment acquittal set to happen Wednesday concerning charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress related to the Ukraine military aid affair will be just a midpoint rather than an end of clashes between the Democratic House majority that took power in January 2019 and the Trump White House. The impeachment trial of Trump, 73, is set to end Wednesday. The only lingering question in its outcome is whether any Republican senators will defect and vote to convict Trump. Two Republican senators bucked their party to vote for witnesses in the trial — Susan Collins of Maine and Mitt Romney of Utah. More |
Posted: 04 Feb 2020 06:15 AM PST The Iowa Democratic caucus results were plunged into crisis Monday night as a new app failed, party organizers warned they had found 'inconsistencies,' and issued a panicked public statement to say they had not been hacked. Caucusing around the state started at 7pm Central Standard Time. Three hours later, not a single precinct's results were officially in. 'We found inconsistencies in the reporting of three sets of results. In addition to the tech systems being used to tabulate results, we are also using photos of results and a paper trail to validate that all results match and ensure that we have confidence and accuracy in the numbers we report,' Iowa Democratic Party Communications Director Mandy McClure said in a statement. 'This is simply a reporting issue, the app did not go down and this is not a hack or an intrusion.' The underlying data and paper trail is sound and will simply take time to further report the results,' McClure added. Earlier, other Iowa officials had pointed a finger at the app. More |
Judicial Watch: Eight Iowa Counties Have Registration Rates Larger than Eligible Voter Population Posted: 04 Feb 2020 06:00 AM PST Judicial Watch announced that eight Iowa counties have more voter registrations than their eligible voting-age population. According to Judicial Watch's analysis of data released by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) in 2019 and the most recent U.S. Census Bureau's five-year American Community Survey, eight Iowa counties are on the list of 378 counties nationwide that have more voter registrations than citizens living there who are old enough to vote, i.e., counties where registration rates exceed 100%. These 378 counties combined had about 2.5 million registrations over the 100%-registered mark. In Iowa, there are at least 18,658 "extra names" on the voting rolls in the eight counties at issue. Under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), Judicial Watch sent notice-of-violation letters to 19 large counties in five states (California, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, and Colorado) that it intends to sue unless the jurisdictions take steps to comply with the law and remove ineligible voter registrations. Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act requires jurisdictions to take reasonable efforts to remove ineligible registrations from its rolls. More |
Schiff Warns Donald Trump Could Give Alaska to the Russians If Not Impeached Posted: 04 Feb 2020 05:00 AM PST House Impeachment Manager and House Oversight Chairman Adam Schiff warned Monday that President Donald Trump might give Alaska to the Russians if he is not impeached. Schiff disagreed with the president's lawyers, who argued that Trump's actions were not criminal and should thus not be considered impeachable. He warned that they were setting a precedent that would only encourage Trump to pursue "unacceptable" actions if exonerated. "Trump could offer Alaska to the Russians in exchange for support in the next election," he said. "Or decide to move to Mar-a-Lago personally and let Jared Kushner run the country, delegating to him the decision whether to go to war." More |
