BRIDGEVILLE – Once again it is time for the annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin, Nov. 4-6 back at the Wheatley Farm in Bridgeville after a two-year hiatus.

This year, over 100 teams from around the world are traveling to Sussex county with their trebuchets, centrifugals, torsions, catapults and of course air cannons to compete for the coveted one-mile shot and a new world record. With two years of testing and tuning away from the annual competition, teams are eager to see how they will stack up against other competitors who they haven't seen recently.

The are many family-friendly activities to keep every spectator entertained throughout the day. The day will include bands including Judy Sings the Blues, Lincoln City and Scrapple, vendors, the Pumpkin Cookin Contest, Chili Cook-Off contest, Miss Punkin Chunkin Pageant, a beer garden, as well as games and fun for the kids.

Dem Pollster: Clinton 'May Be Immune To Pay To Play'

Democratic pollster and former Bill Clinton adviser Stanley Greenberg thinks Hillary Clinton may be immune to pay-to-play charges, according to a February 2016 email he sent to Clinton campaign manager John Podesta.

"She seems indifferent to the systemic corruption that makes it impossible for government to act for the middle class or address big problems, like climate or health care," Greenberg said. "She may be immune to pay to play, but the system isn't. She's got to distinguish between self and country — and needs to."

Earlier in the email, Greenberg wrote, "She does not talk about what she is for — and presents the whole issue of trust and integrity — surely, Barak Obama and I won't be influenced by money as we make brave choices."

The internet can't resist a good optical illusion. It never could. Who could forget the infamous blue-and-black (no! white-and-gold) dress? People debated over the hues of those horizontal stripes for months. Then, of course, there was the viral "hot dogs or legs" craze. And now, a photo of a celebrity, snapped by a fan way back in 2012, has the internet befuddled all over again.

The photo, taken by a woman named Laura Michele Ross at the Alfred Dunhill Links golf competition in Scotland four years ago, was posted to the Facebook page "Reasons My Son is Crying" in 2013, and now it is suddenly making the rounds in every crevice of the web.

The photo shows one of the A-list celebrities at the tournament mimicking a baby as he cries. And at first, the Twittersphere seemed positive that celebrity was Tom Hanks.

WikiLeaks has released a 20th batch of emails from the account of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chair. The issues discussed include Bill Clinton's past, Benghazi, the email server scandal and even alien life.

The whistleblowing site has promised to release 50,000 messages from Podesta in the lead up to the US presidential election on November 8. A total of 34,197 communications have been released to date.

Bill Clinton's controversial past was evidently of concern to his wife's campaign team, which discussed how to handle questions on allegations of sexual assault against him.

Preparation for what the media might throw at her included the questions: "Will you apologize to the women who were wrongly smeared by your husband and his allies?" and "How is what Bill Clinton did different from what Bill Cosby did?"

Did you know that Snow Hill, MD coined the phrase "First Friday"? Yep, true story! That's just one of many interesting facts we learned when we went day trippin' to Snow Hill, MD!

During our recent day trip to Snow Hill, town administrators Ann Gibbs and Michael Day gave us a brief history of the town. Located on the banks of the Pocomoke River, Snow Hill was the logical county seat for Worcester County, Maryland. Snow Hill's proximity to the river lead to its prosperous history as an active port, transporting agricultural goods and iron around the area. Snow Hill was originally chartered in 1686 and was officially designated a royal port by William and Mary of England in 1694. They filled our arms with as many brochures and pamphlets as we could possibly hold and sent us off to explore.

The town of Snow Hill is home to three schools, twelve churches, three museums, three riverside parks; with a handful of nature parks and trails right outside town limits, Snow Hill truly has something fun for everyone. The streets are filled with charming, old homes and building facades that are incredibly intricate. We could walk around staring at the architectural detail for hours. Walking along we noticed that many of the historic homes are located along Church St. One of our favorite details of the town was that three of the historic homes have been turned into adorable little bed and breakfasts – a few of them have even begun renting out rooms on Air BnB to make your booking experience that much more convenient!

Hacked email: Deploy the 'brown and women pundits'

One of Hillary Clinton's top allies wrote in 2015 that they should consider deploying "the brown and women pundits" to pressure the New York Times into giving them friendlier coverage, according to a series of private emails published by the hacking group WikiLeaks.

The Clinton campaign was particularly unhappy with the Times during the summer of 2015 as the paper reported at length on the federal investigation of Clinton's use of an unauthorized and unsecured private email server when she worked at the State Department.

In response to those stories, Center for American Progress PresidentNeera Tanden wrote an email to Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta, passing along advice which reportedly came from Howard Wolfson, former Clinton communications chief and former senior advisor to Michael Bloomberg.

Tanden noted in an email dated July 9, 2015, that when Bloomberg felt the Times' coverage of his office had become unfair, he complained directly to the paper's publisher, Arthur Sulzberger. The Times' coverage changed almost immediately after that meeting, she wrote.

President Obama's high-security BlackBerry used a special process known as "whitelisting" that only allowed it to take calls and messages from pre-approved contacts, two former senior intelligence officials with knowledge of the set-up told Fox News – pointing to the detail as further proof the White House knew Hillary Clinton's private account was used for government business.

As the administration now acknowledges, Obama and Clinton emailed each other while she was helming the State Department. If received on his BlackBerry, the "whitelisting" safeguard means Clinton and other contacts would have had to be approved as secure for data transmission – covering everything from emails to texts to phone calls. The Obama BlackBerry would have also been configured to accept the communications.

"Think of whitelisting like a bouncer in the VIP line at the party. If you are on the list you get in, if you are not, you get bounced to the pavement," said Bob Gourley, former chief technology officer (CTO) for the DIA, and now a partner with strategic consulting and engineering firm Cognitio.

"Whitelisting happens by design. The IT professionals who whitelist devices at places like the White House only add the email addresses authorized by management. To do otherwise would be to violate policy in ways that could introduce threats to the system," he added.

The numbers are in and they're not bad, not bad at all, despite a miserably slow spring that put a damper on the launch of Ocean City's traditional tourist season.

As it turned out, Ocean City had a slight increase in tourism numbers over last year, according to Smith Travel Research (STR), a data research firm that compiles room and visitor information for the lodging industry.

At the minimum, more than 30 percent of the lodging properties in Ocean City are included in the data.

"It is mandatory and a franchise requirement to report room information to the STR," said Susan Jones, executive director of the Ocean City Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association. "Some independent hotels also participate, including the Carousel and the Grand Hotel because it is good data to compare your numbers to similar hotels."

Clinton cronies steered millions to foundation — and Bill’s wallet

Two Bill Clinton cronies used their private consulting firm to steer millions in business to the former president while raising funds for the Clinton Foundation — and even called the arrangement "Bill Clinton Inc."

Doug Band, a top Clinton aide, detailed the complex financial arrangement between his company, Teneo, and the foundation in a memo contained in hacked e-mails released Wednesday by WikiLeaks.

"Teneo partners have raised in excess of $8 million for the foundation, more than $5.25 million of which is in the bank," the memo reads.

"Teneo partners also have generated over $3 million in paid speeches for President Clinton, $1.25 million of which has been paid to him thus far."

Undercover footage of Planned Parenthood workers discussing the sale of baby body parts frayed relations between the Hillary Clinton campaign and the nation's top provider of abortions, according to emails published by Wikileaks.

The Clinton campaign went silent after the Center for Medical Progress began releasing videos of Planned Parenthood executives candidly discussing organ harvesting on July 15, 2015. She broke that silence on July 23, defending the organization's practices.

"I am hoping that this situation will not further undermine the very important services that Planned Parenthood provides," she said in South Carolina.
That same day Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards sent a thank you note to campaign chairman John Podesta. The two had gone back and forth in the wake of the controversy and appeared to have a phone discussion on July 18—the same day that Planned Parenthood released an apology video on YouTube.

Mikulski and Ben Cardin (both D-Md.) today announced that $66,017,758 in federal energy assistance funds will be available to Maryland families struggling to pay their heating bills this winter through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). In fiscal year 2015, Maryland LIHEAP provided 111,071 households with LIHEAP financial assistance.

"No family should be forced to choose between paying the heating bill and putting food on the table," Senator Mikulski said. "Too many people are being stretched and stressed by high energy costs. This critical energy assistance for low income families will help those most in need care for themselves and their families as winter approaches."

"This is good news for low-income Maryland families who now know that their homes will be safe and warm during the cold winter months. LIHEAP is an indispensable lifeline for the most vulnerable among us," said Senator Cardin. "As temperatures begin to drop, I want struggling Marylanders to know that they have strong federal partners to provide the assistance they need to help prevent utility-shut offs this winter."

Eligibility for LIHEAP is based on income, family size and the availability of resources.

The White House petition to ban "George Soros owned voting machines" reached well over the required 100,000 signatures to obtain a response from President Barack Obama.

The petition reached the signatures within six days of being published, far ahead of the November 20th deadline.

OCEAN CITY — The five Ocean City Council candidates vying for the four open council seats took part this week in a question-and-answer session leading up to next month's election.

Incumbents Doug Cymek, Dennis Dare, Tony DeLuca and Mary Knight are looking to retain their seats, while challenger John Gehrig is looking to become an elected official for the first time.

Cymek was elected to office in 2008 and is seeking a third, four-year term. Dare is looking to serve his second term after being the top vote getter in the 2012 election. DeLuca was elected two years ago to serve the remaining two years of Joe Mitrecic's council term after he was elevated to the post of county commissioner. Knight, who has served as council secretary since 2012, was first elected in 2006.

A disturbing video captured an assailant sucker-punching an 85-year-old man in an Upper East Side park, marking the latest in a string of attacks on the elderly.

The video, released Wednesday, shows a man clad in a puffy black jacket and a red knit cap, creep up behind the victim as he's walking through a Carl Schurz Park promenade at E. 90th St. and East End Ave. at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

He winds his arm back, and the screen fades out before the blow connects.

A moment later, the attacker, his arm outstretched and fist still balled up, walks backwards, away from the victim.

With work complete, both lanes of Route 90 now open

The State Highway Administration this week confirmed it will have completed bridge inspections early by the end of the week and both lanes of traffic should be able to pass unimpeded.

The work inspecting the bridges started at the beginning of the month, and until Oct. 21, the bridge over Assawoman Bay had been limited to one lane between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Following the weekend of Oct. 22-23, work continued a bit west of where it was, as crews worked on inspecting the bridge over the St. Martin River between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. until Friday.

Emails Show Hillary Camp Freaking Out About Private Emails

A top confidant to Hillary Clinton campaign chair John Podesta suggested the person who told the former secretary of state she could use a private email should be "drawn and quartered," according to a leaked email chain.

"Do we actually know who told Hillary she could use a private email?" Neera Tanden, president of the Center for American Progress, asked Podesta in a July 2015 email. The email was one of thousands released by WikiLeaks from Podesta's hacked Gmail account.

"And has that person been drawn and quartered?" Tanden added. "Like whole thing is fucking insane."

Clinton has said former Secretary of State Colin Powell suggested she use a private email, like he did, while serving as the U.S.'s top diplomat. Clinton also said she used a private email server for "convenience" and it was done in accordance with State Department guidelines. Though, she did say it was a "mistake" for her to use a private server.

ABC/Wapo Effectively Admit To Poll Tampering As Hillary's "Lead" Shrinks To 2-Points

Just yesterday we wrote about the very curious ABC / Wapo poll which seemed to show Hillary's blow-out 12-point lead from last Sunday get cut in half in a matter of just two days. But the ABC/Wapo enigma continues to grow today as their latest poll shows the presidential race has now tightened to just 2 points, which is within the margin of error. Ironically, these new results do not reflect the latest FBI bombshell as polling was concluded on October 27th and it still includes an 8-point sampling advantage for democrats.

METHODOLOGY – This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by landline and cellular telephone Oct. 24-27, 2016, in English and Spanish, among a random national sample of 1,148 likely voters. Results have a margin of sampling error of 3 points, including the design effect. Partisan divisions are 37-29-29 percent, Democrats-Republicans-independents.

So what happened? For months we have argued that these goal-seeking reports (aka "Polls") can be easily manufactured to show whatever results are desired by simply "tweaking" the sample pool. WikiLeaks even exposed a handy guide 37-page poll-rigging guide on how to "include ethnic 'oversamples' as required" to manufacture the desired poll numbers. But, with today's latest ABC / Washington Post poll, the real "smoking gun" admission is revealed as the pollsters admit that the narrowing of their polling results are "not mainly about people shifting in their candidate preference" but about how their sample pool was constructed.

"Changes in the poll's latest four nights compared with the previous four are not mainly about people shifting in their candidate preference, but about changes in who's intending to vote."

YouTube backs off ban of ‘Clinton’s black son’

'Danney cannot be silenced any longer

NEW YORK – YouTube on Wednesday terminated the account of Danney Williams, the 30-year-old man who has claimed since the 1990s to be the black son of former President Bill Clinton.

But YouTube suddenly reversed its decision on Thursday amid public outcry and reinstated the account in the early morning hours, posting a notice that said only: "After a review of your account, we have confirmed that your YouTube account is not in violation of our Terms of Service. As such, we have unsuspended your account."

When it terminated the account on Wednesday, YouTube cited unspecified "repeated or severe violations of our Terms of Use and/or Community Guidelines" and declared the account "cannot be restored."

Route 50 Plan Changes Sought To ‘Make The Corridor More Commercially Viable’

SNOW HILL – An update of the county's commercial design standards and Route 50 corridor plan could help increase development along the well-traveled highway into Ocean City.

Since February, a committee of county officials, planning professionals and area business people has been working on revisions to the county's design guidelines and Route 50 corridor plan. The changes are meant to bring the documents, which were created in the 1990s, up to date and at the same time resolve any problems identified with them in recent years.

"The corridor plan addresses the county's identified most intense commercial development territory and as such, the commissioners have appointed a diverse group of individuals tasked with making timely recommendations that will make the corridor more commercially viable," said Merry Mears, the county's director of economic development.

Desperate? - Democrats Sue RNC Over Trump's "Rigged Election" Comments Alleging "Minority Voter Intimidation"

In a move that wreaks of desperation, and certainly beneath a campaign that is apparently coasting toward a 12-point blowout victory in just over a week, the DNC has sued the RNC over efforts to "ensure ballot integrity" alleging "intimidation of minority voters." Since when did working with "secretaries of states all over the country to ensure ballot integrity" become a crime? And, why exactly are democrats so fearful of any measure that attempts to ensure the integrity of our federal elections? Is it because such efforts to "ensure ballot integrity" might just prevent the massive voter fraud that we all know exists? Just a guess. Per Politico:

In a motion filed in New Jersey federal court on Wednesday, the Democratic National Committee charges that theRNC has violated the consent decree "by supporting and enabling the efforts of the Republican candidate for President, Donald J. Trump, as well as his campaign and advisors, to intimidate and discourage minority voters from voting in the 2016 Presidential Election."

The alleged coordination, the DNC says, is a violation of a 1982 consent decree in which the RNC agreed to curb its vote watching tactics — the result of a suit Democrats filed against the RNC for allegedly intimidating minority voters at the polls during New Jersey's 1981 gubernatorial election.

Genova quotes Trump running mate Mike Pence as saying at a town hall that the campaign and RNC "are working very very closely with state governments and secretaries of states all over the country to ensure ballot integrity," and quoted a reporter recounting a conversation with Trump's campaign manager in which she said said the campaign is "actively working with the national committee, the official party, and campaign lawyers to monitor precincts around the country."

"Although certain RNC officials have attempted to distance themselves from some of the Trump campaign's more recent statements, there is now ample evidence that Trump has enjoyed the direct and tacit support of the RNC in its 'ballot security' endeavors, including the RNC's collaboration on efforts to prevent this supposed 'rigging' and 'voter fraud,'" the motion reads.

The RNC denied any wrongdoing in issuing a statement saying that they "strictly abide by the consent decree."

A new poll released by Gallup has found that a record amount of Americans are opposed to gun control measures.

The survey found that 76 percent of respondents, over three quarters, believe that a ban on civilian ownership of handguns should not be made law.

The findings represent a four-point increase on the same survey from last year, in addition to an all-time high for the past three decades.

Three New Charges of Vote Fraud Filed in Florida and Virginia

Authorities in two states have filed vote fraud charges against three separate suspects, just 11 days before the November election, reports say.

Two women in Florida, and a suspect in Virginia, face vote fraud charges of tampering with ballots and voter registration.

In the case in Virginia, a man faces four felony charges for voter registration fraud,according to Washington D.C.'s NBC affiliate.

Vafalay Massaquoi, an African American male, stands accused of fraudulently registering voters when he worked for the Democrat-affiliated New Virginia Majority advocacy group.

Massaquoi filed the fake voter registrations with the Alexandria office but authorities caught the fraud and canceled the registrations before they could be used. Massaquoi was extradited from the Philadelphia area where she had moved earlier this year and is currently being held without bond in Alexandria.

ABC News/Washington Post Tracking Poll: Ten Point Swing For Donald Trump In Four Days

Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump is rising in the polls, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll.

Trump is now at 45 percent with likely voters, up seven points from his low of 38 percent earlier in the month. Hillary Clinton is at 47 percent while Gary Johnson is at four percent and Jill Stein is at two percent.

That marks a seven point jump for Trump in just four days. Trump's opponent Hillary Clinton has seen her numbers drop three points in the same time period, making a 10 point swing in Trump's favor.

Va. man charged with voter registration fraud

ALEXANDRIA (WUSA9) - A Virginia man faces four felony charges after officials said he fabricated voter registration applications.

While employed by a local advocacy group, officials said 30-year-old Vafalay Massaquoi fabricated applications for new voter registration. They said he invented applicants.

According to the Alexandria Commonwealths Attorney's Office, Massaquoi then filed the fake applicants with the Alexandria Office of the General Registrar.

Massaquoi was charged with two felony counts forging a public record and two felony counts of voter registration fraud. Each charged carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Heis being held in the William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for December 13.

When FBI Director James Comey announced on July 5 that the Department of Justice would not seek the indictment of Hillary Clinton for failure to safeguard state secrets related to her email use while she was secretary of state, he both jumped the gun and set in motion a series of events that surely he did not intend. Was his hand forced by the behavior of FBI agents who wouldn't take no for an answer? Did he let the FBI become a political tool?

Here is the back story.

The FBI began investigating the Clinton email scandal in the spring of 2015, when The New York Times revealed Clinton's use of a private email address for her official governmental work and the fact that she did not preserve the emails on State Department servers, contrary to federal law. After an initial collection of evidence and a round of interviews, agents and senior managers gathered in the summer of 2015 to discuss how to proceed. It was obvious to all that a prima-facie case could be made for espionage, theft of government property and obstruction of justice charges. The consensus was to proceed with a formal criminal investigation.

"She evidently intended this as a joke, although I suspect our combat veterans would not be amused," states AAPS executive director Jane Orient, M.D.

Videos are, however, circulating on the internet, from her rather brief and rare appearances in public, which are purported to show pathological eye movements.

"These are quick, episodic, and inconsistent," states Dr. Orient, who is an internist. "So we decided to ask doctors on our email list to have a look at one of the videos. A helpful tool is to paste the URL intohttp://RowVid.com and watch it at half or quarter speed."

Nearly two-thirds of respondents said they saw abnormal movements. Only 15% did not, and 21% were unsure. There are long segments in which the eye movements appear normal.

About 60% of those who saw abnormal movements thought "the cause could be a potentially disabling neurological condition," and none of them were willing to say that it isn't.

Americans for Tax Reform recently reviewed Bill Clinton's tax returns and discovered he overpriced the value of his used underpants and other clothing items that he donated to charity to increase his tax write-off when he was governor of Arkansas.

Clinton hand wrote in 1986 multiple deductions for clothing items that he was donating to the Salvation Army, the Washington Examiner reported.

As governor of Arkansas in 1986, Clinton hand wrote a $6 charity deduction for "3 pr. underwear" that even today are only valued at $1 each, according to the analysis from Americans for Tax Reform. He also claimed $75 for "Garbardine suit – ripped pants" valued by Salvation Army this year at $10-$60.

For just 10 items the Clintons overvalued in their 1986 tax returns, said the group headed by Grover Norquist, they were able to take a write-off of over $1,500 in 2016 dollars.

An email released in part 19 of the Wikileaks Podesta dump features an article sent by Hillary advisor Sara Solow to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and Hillary's foreign policy advisor Jake Sullivan on February 29, 2016.

The piece draws attention to Ketanji Brown Jackson, a judge on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

"She was confirmed by without any Republican opposition in the Senate not once, but *twice*. She was confirmed to her current position in 2013 by unanimous consent – that is, without any stated opposition. She was also previously confirmed unanimously to a seat on the U.S. Sentencing Commission (where she became vice chair)," reads the email.

Hogan Proposes $82M In Cuts As Maryland Faces Shortfall

Gov. Larry Hogan will propose about $82 million in cuts and spending transfers to help address a Maryland budget shortfall.

David Brinkley, Hogan's budget chief, said Friday the cuts will be brought to the Board of Public Works meeting next week. The governor's budget office estimates the state is facing a shortfall of up to $250 million this fiscal year.

Brinkley says there will be a $20 million cut to Medicare funding, which will be offset by cigarette restitution funds. Another $18 million will be cut from the University System of Maryland, including the abolition of 60 vacant positions and 41 filled positions.

The proposal also shaves $4 million for the Sellinger Program for independent, nonprofit colleges and another $4 million in disparity grants to local governments.

Mexico Warns of Cholera Spread as Haitian, African Nationals Move North

Mexico's Human Rights Commission has issued a warning about the incoming waves of Haitian and African migrants arriving and on their way to the U.S. border.

According to public statements made by the CNDH's National Ombudsman Luis Raul Gonzalez Perez, the commission is concerned over the hundreds of Haitians and African nationals that have been making their way north through Latin America. The warning was issued for Mexico to prepare sanitary accommodations and staff its federal agencies to provide care and avoid the spread of diseases such as cholera.

Breitbart Texas has been reporting on the waves of African and Haitian immigrants that have been working Mexico's immigration system in order to legally make their way through that country. Mexican immigration authorities give the the immigrants a special permit that grants them legal status in Mexico for 20 days so they can leave the country. Once the African or Haitian immigrants are at the border, they walk up to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry and request refugee status.

"Results have a margin of sampling error of 3 points, including the design effect. Partisan divisions are 36-27-31 percent, Democrats-Republicans-independents," ABC said near the bottom of the poll.

Anne Arundel Co. Detention Centers May Soon Be Housing Illegal Immigrants

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Empty cells at Anne Arundel County Detention Centers may soon be filled, all while earning the county millions of dollars.

Anne Arundel County is in negotiations to house undocumented immigrants that are awaiting deportation. And although things aren't final, immigration advocates say this is a slippery slope.

County Executive Steve Schuh has been working out a deal with U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, ICE, to use the 130 free beds at the county jail to house undocumented immigrants facing deportation.

County Spokesman Owen McEvoy says it could bring in millions for the county.

A new email released as part of the Wikileaks Podesta dump features Clinton ally Brent Budowsky accusing Hillary operative David Brock of having a plan that relied upon black voters being "stupid".

The email, sent to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and another Clinton ally CEO Roy Spence, centers around a discussion of a Bernie Sanders campaign ad which featured "many black faces".

Back in January, Clinton operative David Brock caused consternation within the campaign when he publicly claimed that Bernie Sanders didn't care about black people.

Budowsky is not impressed with Brock's outburst, writing in the email, "Brock makes the cardinal mistake of those who bring politics into disrepute with voters. He tells a lie that people will know is a lie, and insults the intelligence of black voters with a kind of elitist racism that Bill and Hillary Clinton should not be seen with."

Marylanders set a new first day early voting turnout record.

State elections officials said 125,914 Maryland voters checked in statewide Thursday, crushing the 2012 early-voting Day 1 total of 78,409. That's also nearly 30 percent of all early voting in 2012.

In perspective, there were 430,547 people who voted over all the early voting days in 2012.

The previous record highest voting turnout was in 2012 with 107,385 voters.

But voters who wanted to cast a ballot on the first day of early voting in Maryland did have to wait.

"It was time-consuming, you know, but it was all worth it," said Dorothy Williams, who voted early.

Hillary Clinton remains embroiled in email and pay-for-play scandals from her days as secretary of state, but as first lady she also fell into questionable behavior that dogged her husband's first term.

The scandals were known as Travelgate and Filegate, and both set off extensive investigations, resignations, charges and countercharges of lying, file-scrubbing and unethical conduct.

The early 1990s shared issues and people with 2016: Twenty years ago, there were the Clintons, of course. There was the "politicization" of the FBI, as one committee report put it. Mrs. Clinton's staunch defender, Lanny Davis, appeared on TV blasting her critics, as he does today.

The conservative watchdog Judicial Watch sued the Clinton administration then, as it has done more recently, to compel disclosure of her State Department emails, of which more than 30,000 were destroyed — off-limits to theFBI. In the 1990s, White House files also went missing.

"FBI leadership has a long history of kowtowing to the Clintons," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "And it meant that front-line FBI agents were either boxed in, abused or hung out to dry. Nothing has changed in 20 years. If anything, the Clintons have perfected the art of intimidating federal law enforcement."

Other Places to Eat

Last week brought a firestorm of mentions about different places to eat in Salisbury around 1960. I only covered the Wicomico Hotel (The Coach Room), the Chantry House and Johnny and Sammys. There were other places to consider if you elected not to eat at home. Bill's Seafood Inn and the Greenway Inn were two of the more upscale establishments. For a more down-home feel, there were the three English Grills, Howard Johnson Restaurant, Ayers Diner, the Casa-Del-Rey, the Saddle Club or the Charcoal Pit. In 1961, there was only one lunch counter in Salisbury and that was at Read's – downtown.

There were numerous places to get quick food. The Hut was very popular, as was the Oaks. I think there was more socializing than eating at the Oaks, it being the gathering place for the area's teenagers. Now forgotten places were listed back then, such as the Kwik Shake Inn and Taylor's Grill. The drive-ins of the era were George's Drive-in, the Acorn, the B &K and Shelton's.

Some of the bars listed themselves among the restaurant opportunities. These were the Circle K, Martini's and Kelly's Oyster Bar. Places such as the Stone Bar had edibles on the bar such as hard boiled eggs, but I would hardly call then a restaurant. I remember one time at the Stone Bar that a good crowd had gathered to watch the Kentucky Derby. They had a pool going and you put up a dollar and got one horse to root for. The total pool was only $14.00. The fellow that won was so excited that he uttered those famous words, "I'm buying". Well, the bar bill was about $18.00 so he actually lost money on his "winner".

The chronology of the "fast food" hamburger places is up for grabs. At some point in time Burger Chef, Champs and Carroll's graced our area. It seems that everybody has a different memory of what was where and when. As long as you have your memories, you can relate them to the present and realize that we have lost a very pleasant way of life.

NEW YORK – WND's reporting in late August of a marked classified email Hillary Clinton forwarded to aide Huma Abedin could cast light on FBI Director James Comey's dramatic disclosure to members of Congress Friday that the bureau had reopened its investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server due to new information apparently discovered in the sexting probe of former Rep. Anthony Weiner, Abedin's estranged husband.

Comey, however, said in his letter to Congress that he was only 'briefed yesterday,' meaning WND readers knew of the potential security breach two months before the director did.

As WND reported Sept. 8, Clinton forwarded an Aug. 8, 2009, email – clearly marked "Classified" – to a personal, nonsecure email address registered to aide Abedin, huma@clintonemail.com. Abedin then forwarded the message to another personal, nonsecure account, humamabedin@yahoo.com.

In sworn testimony before Congress, however, Clinton declared, "There was nothing marked classified on my emails, either sent or received."

In the aftermath of the so-called Cocktober surprise unveiled this afternoon by the FBI when the bureau announced it was reopening a probe into Hillary Clinton's email server because "new evidence has come to light" after "materials" were found on equipment belonging to Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin, the question on everyone's lips - and certainly Hillary Clinton's and most democrats - is why did the FBI do this now, 11 days before the election, in a way that did not even coordinate with the White House?

One opinion belongs to Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein, who just days after his infamous peer Bob Woodward said that the "Clinton foundation is corrupt, it's a scandal" said that "her conduct in regard to the e-mails is really indefensible and if there was going to be more information that came out, it was the one thing, as I said on the air last night, actually that could really perhaps affect this election. We don't know what this means yet except that it's a real bombshell. And it is unthinkable that the Director of the FBI would take this action lightly, that he would put this letter forth to the Congress of the United States saying there is more information out there about classified e-mails and call it to the attention of congress unless it was something requiring serious investigation. Waking Up In Hillary Clinton's America

As this endless election limps toward its last days, while spiraling into a bizarre duel over vote-rigging accusations, a deep sigh is undoubtedly in order. The entire process has been an emotionally draining, frustration-inducing, rage-inflaming spectacle of repellent form over shallow substance. For many, the third debate evoked fatigue. More worrying, there was again no discussion of how to prevent another financial crisis, an ominous possibility in the next presidency, whether Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton enters the Oval Office -- given that nothing fundamental has been altered when it comes to Wall Street's practices and predation.

At the heart of American political consciousness right now lies a soul-crushing reality for millions of distraught Americans: the choices for president couldn't be feebler or more disappointing. On the one hand, we have a petulant, vocabulary-challenged man-boar of a billionaire, who hasn't paid his taxes, has regularly left those supporting him holding the bag, and seems like a ludicrous composite of every bad trait in every bad date any woman has ever had. On the other hand, we're offered a walking photo-op for and well-paid speechmaker to Wall-Street CEOs, a one-woman money-raising machine from the 1% of the 1%, who, despite a folksiness that couldn't look more rehearsed, has methodically outplayed her opponent.

With less than two weeks to go before E-day -- despite the Trumptilian upheaval of the last year -- the high probability of a Clinton win means the establishment remains intact. Because this election apparently wasn't bizarre enough already, now the investigation of Anthony Weiner's sexting with an underage girl has revived the FBI probe of Hillary Clinton's e-mail mess.

FBI Director James Comey's announcement Friday of fresh evidence, "e-mails that appear to be pertinent" to the Clinton case, was stunning enough.

Comey, recall, de facto cleared Clinton because he'd decided she didn't mean to compromise national security by using her home-brewed server, though her "extremely careless" behavior had done just that. What new e-mails could alter that calculation?

1,500 Call on CNN & MSNBC to Host Debate Among Independents

A petition calling on CNN and MSNBC to host a presidential debate among independent candidates Gary Johnson, Jill Stein and Evan McMullin, and signed by over 1,500 individuals representing 50 states who stated they were "gravely concerned about the shortcomings of our political process" was submitted to the news organizations today.  The petition was circulated by IndependentVoting.org, the country's largest association of independent voters.  It stated:

We, the undersigned, want to see and hear from the independent presidential candidates Gary Johnson, Jill Stein and Evan McMullin in a televised debate.

We represent the millions of Americans who are gravely concerned about the shortcomings of our political process so widely exposed in this presidential election: the exclusion of millions from voting in the primary elections because they were independent, the super-delegate system, and the control of the debate process by the Commission on Presidential Debates whose criteria for inclusion is designed to exclude independent candidates.

The popularity ratings of Clinton and Trump represent historic lows. Their nominations were the outcome of receiving a paltry 14% of the vote of eligible Americans. The level of dialogue in the debates has devolved into the candidates exchanging demands for apologies.

More and more Americans are rejecting the two-party system and becoming independent. 
-- 43% of Americans self-identify as independent
-- 50% of voters under the age of 30 are independent
-- 30% of African American voters under the age of 30 are independent
-- 50% of Latino voters are independent

It was July 25th, 2012 when a Chinook helicopter was taken down by one of our own Stingers, but the idiot Taliban didn't arm the missile and the Chinook didn't explode, but had to land anyway. An ordnance team recovered the serial number off the missile which led back to a cache of Stingers being kept in Qatar by the CIA. Obama and Hillary were now in full panic mode and Stevens was sent in to retrieve the rest of the Stingers. This was a "do-or-die" mission, which explains the stand down orders given to multiple commando teams. It was the State Dept, not the CIA that supplied them to our sworn enemies, because Petraeus wouldn't supply these deadly weapons due to their potential use on commercial aircraft. Then, Obama threw Gen. Petraeus under the bus after he refused to testify that he OK'd the BS talking points about a spontaneous uprising due to a You tube video. Obama and Hillary committed treason...and THIS is what the investigation is all about, why she had a private server, (in order to delete the digital evidence), and why Obama, two weeks after the attack, told the UN that the attack was because of a You tube video, even though everyone knew it was not. Further...the Taliban knew that this administration aided and abetted the enemy without Congressional approval when Boehner created the Select Committee and the Taliban began pushing the Obama Administration for the release of 5 Taliban Generals. Bowe Bergdahl was just a pawn...everyone KNEW he was a traitor. So we have a traitor as POTUS that is not only corrupt, but compromised...and a woman that is a serial liar, perjured herself multiple times at the Hearing whom is running for POTUS. Only the Democrats, with their hands out, palms up, will support her. Perhaps this is why no military aircraft was called in...because the administration knew our enemies had Stingers.

Someone asked a woman how she could vote for Trump, a "misogynist, a racist and a bigot".

Here is her answer:

Because I use my head to research and find out what candidates really are, not what the media wants me to think.

Because Donald Trump has more women in executive and managerial positions than any comparable company, which tells me he is not a misogynist.

Because he pays these women the same or more than their male counterparts, which tells me looks for capacity and skills in people, not color, gender or race.

Because he fought the West Palm Beach City Council to be able to open his newly purchased club, so he could include blacks and Jews as members, who had been banned until then. This tells me he is not a racist.

Because he has raised wonderful children who have turned out to be outstanding, hard working and compassionate adults. He must be doing something right.

Because his economic plans makes sense, are conservative in nature, and I vote based of what is best for my family, my friends and my country.

Because everybody, the left and the right are afraid of him, the media is trying to destroy his image, and even foreign governments are voicing their opinions, so he must be doing something right. Clean house maybe?

Because I want a Supreme Court that will uphold the Constitution, not behave as minions of the administration. I have had enough with judges who are more like political activists than law enforcers.

Because I fear for my family's safety if the current trend of not confronting blatant terrorism continues – which is a threat to our way of life.

Because I am fed up with the rampant corruption of this administration. Accountability in government is paramount, and as this administration has demonstrated, it is a foreign concept to them.

Because I am fed up with the political correctness gone wild, and because Trump is not afraid to say what everybody thinks but does not dare to say. A thug is a thug, regardless of color, and that's it.

Because it is about time someone puts America's interests ahead of other countries.

Because I know he recognizes and embraces America's exceptionalism, and will not tour the World apologizing for who we are. That tells me he is a patriot.

Because, unlike HRC, he has actually held a job, worked hard and achieved success.

And last, but not least, because I am more offended by what Hillary does than by what Trump says.

It's another day and there's a fresh batch of emails from Wikileaks, and this time around we found a connection to House Speaker Paul Ryan.

Throughout the election, Ryan has been notably against Donald Trump, and recently he declared he would no longer be campaigning with or defending the Republican nominee.

Ryan claims the reason is that Trump is so outrageous he can't in good conscious support the billionaire, but a new email from Wikileaks may lend some insight into Ryan's true reason for being against the people's candidate – he's an establishment hack in bed with Washington elites.

In fact, his brother-in-law's wife is a district court judge that Hillary Clinton is floating as a possible Supreme Court nomination, should she be elected in November.

Students at the University of Texas in Austin have been advised not to wear cowboy boots or cowboy hats on Halloween.

Telling a Texan not to wear cowboy boots is like telling Colonel Sanders not to fry chicken.

Fraternities and Sororities were instructed to avoid Halloween party costumes and themes that might "appropriate another culture or experience," according to The College Fix.

Students were issued a 29-point checklist to ensure they avoid any controversial or offensive trick or treat regalia.

1. Hillary: in prison!

2. Put "GOD" back in America!!!

3. Borders: Closed!

4. Congress: On the same retirement & healthcare plans as everybody else.

5. Congress: Obey its own laws NOW!

6. Language: English only!

7. Culture: Constitution and the Bill of Rights!

8. Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before & during Welfare!

9. Freebies: NONE to Non-Citizens!

10. Budget: Balance the damn thing!

11. Foreign Countries: Stop giving them our money! Charge them for our help! We need it here.
