Hillary Clinton went to sleep by 8.42 p.m., after a day campaigning in South Carolina last June, according to a new Wikileaks email.

The June 17 email was apparently copied from campaign chairman John Podesta's account, and was written by Clinton press aide Jennifer Palmieri.

Cheers Erupt for Trump’s ‘Drain the Swamp’ Plan at Pence Rally in North Carolina

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 08:00 PM PDT

WILMINGTON, North Carolina — Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Mike Pence reviewed several scandals surrounding Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and her campaign at a Tuesday campaign rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Pence also spoke about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's 5-point plan to "drain the swamp" in Washington D.C.

"Yesterday Donald Trump rolled out a 5-point plan to drain the swamp in Washington, D.C.," Pence said to the thunderous applause of the hundreds gathered. He then recapped some of that plan.

Trump's 5-step plan is as follows:
First: I am going to institute a 5-year ban on all executive branch officials lobbying the government after they leave government service.

Second: I am going to ask Congress to institute its own 5-year ban on lobbying by former members of Congress and their staffs.

Third: I am going to expand the definition of lobbyist so we close all the loopholes that former government officials use by labeling themselves consultants and advisors when we all know they are lobbyists.

Maryland Doctor Who Treated Hillary Clinton for Blood Clot On Brain Mysteriously Dies

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 07:30 PM PDT

A shocking new report circulating in the Kremlin today prepared by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) says that the infamously named "Clinton Body Count" has now increased after a Maryland (US) based doctor was discovered dead this past week under mysterious circumstances—and who had, this past June, been part of a specialized medical team that removed a blood clot from the brain of Hillary Clinton. [Note: Some words and/or phrases appearing in quotes in this report are English language approximations of Russian words/phrases having no exact counterpart.]

According to this report, Hillary Clinton has long been known to have grave health issues since she collapsed in December, 2012, and that led to her first operation to remove a blood clot from her brain—and that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, recently stated took her 6 months to recover from.

This past summer, however, this report continues, on 30 June, SVR analysts state that Hillary Clinton collapsed on her private plan while in route to her Washington D.C. home and was unconscious when it landed at Joint Base Andrews—which is the home base of the 89th Airlift Wing that manages the flights of all top American officials, including the President.

The number of illegals seeking asylum to gain easy access to the United States has jumped 900 percent in less than 10 years, greatly expanding the Immigration population receiving Social Security, school loans, green cards, welfare and other taxpayer funded services, according to figures from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

While about 8,000 mostly Latin Americans in 2009 sought asylum, the number is expected to reach 80,000 or more this year, according to a projection from the Center for Immigration Studies.

Troopers Probe Shots Fired Complaint in Parking Lot of Christiana Mall

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:07 PM PDT

Newark - The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an incident in which several shots were fired in the parking lot of the Christiana Mall.

The investigation began at approximately 5:10 a.m. Saturday October 22, 2016 as troopers responded to the parking lot on the west side of Nordstrom, located at 100 Christiana Mall Road, for numerous reports of gun fire. When troopers arrived, they were contacted by some passengers of a party bus that had just returned from a trip to the Washington D.C. area. Interviews with some of the occupants stated they were just exiting the bus to go to their cars when numerous gunshots rang out. They quickly re-entered the bus and departed the area for safety until the troopers arrived on scene. None of the passengers were injured in the incident, although a parked car was damaged by some bullets.

The only description of the suspects was that of two black males in dark clothing armed with unknown type handguns.

This case remains under investigation at this time and the Delaware State Police is requesting any information regarding this incident to contact Detective D. May at 302-365-8439. Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, via the internet at www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com, or by sending an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."

Everything You Need To Know About Money In The 2016 Presidential Race

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:00 PM PDT

Money runs politics, and the charts below show just how much of it has been raised and spent on the 2016 presidential election.

New research by payment service provider WePay provides some amazing revelations about the election's finances. First and foremost, Republican nominee Donald Trump — despite investing millions of his own money in his campaign — is sorely behind Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton when it comes to cold, hard cash.

Clinton has more than doubled the amount of money raised and spent by Trump. These numbers do not include tens of millions raised for each candidate outside of their committees. Clinton has raised approximately $143.5 million in outside money, while Trump has collected only around $40 million.

Wikileaks Emails Prove Obama Lied When He Said He Didn't Know Hillary Was Using Unsecure Email Server

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 05:00 PM PDT

"They know POTUS and HRC emailed"

New Wikileaks emails released as part 13 of the John Podesta hack provide yet more confirmation that Barack Obama lied when he claimed he didn't know Hillary Clinton was using a private unsecure email server.

During an appearance on 60 Minutes in October 2015, Obama answered unequivocally "no" when he was asked, "Did you know about Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server?"

However, FBI documents released last month show that "Obama used a pseudonym when communicating with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by email, and at least one of those emails ended up on Clinton's private email server."

When Clinton aide Huma Abedin was shown the email by the FBI, she responded, "How is this not classified?"

Legal system taking closer look at juvenile life sentences

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 04:30 PM PDT

Supreme Court rulings, ACLU lawsuit could lead to new sentences

BALTIMORE —Aaron Holly's guilt has not been questioned in the 12 years since a Baltimore County jury convicted him of murdering a woman in 2002.

Holly and another man were convicted of fatally shooting Tanya Jones-Spence, 28, on June 7, 2002 , in Randallstown. Jones-Spence, who was fatally shot outside her apartment after tumbling off her balcony, was an unintended victim as the gunmen had planned to rob and kill her husband, prosecutors said.

According to prosecutors, Holly, who was 17 at the time, and co-defendant Shawn Gardner ran out of the apartment, located Jones-Spence on the ground and shot her at close range. Both men were sentenced in 2004 to life without the possibility of parole.

"(Y)ou come down the steps of her apartment building and within a few feet of her shot her like she was some kind of animal to be hunted," the court said at the time of sentencing.

But Holly is among many inmates convicted of murder as a juvenile in Maryland who could have their sentences altered after the state's second highest court ruled they were sentenced to life without parole without considering their chance to be rehabilitated.

Abedin implicated Clinton in foundation trade-off with Morocco amid $12 million commitment

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 04:00 PM PDT

Just hours after Hillary Clinton dodged a question at the final presidential debate about charges of "pay to play" at the Clinton Foundation, a new batch of WikiLeaks emails surfaced with stunning charges that the candidate herself was at the center of negotiating a $12 million commitment from King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

One of the more remarkable parts of the charge is that the allegation came from Clinton's loyal aide, Huma Abedin, who described the connection in a January 2015 email exchange with two top advisers to the candidate, John Podesta and Robby Mook.

Abedin wrote that "this was HRC's idea" for her to speak at a meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative in Morocco in May 2015 as an explicit condition for the $12 million commitment from the king.

"She created this mess and she knows it," Abedin wrote to Podesta and Mook.

Fort Whaley gets green light for expansion

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 03:30 PM PDT

Future expansion of the Fort Whaley Campground at the corner of Route 50 and Route 610, moved closer to fruition following the Worcester Commissioners approval of a rezoning request following a public hearing on Tuesday.

Attorney Hugh Cropper, representing property owner Sun Communities, which purchased both Fort Whaley and the Frontier Town RV Resort & Campground last year, said a 28-acre portion of the 72.19-acre Fort Whaley property was rezoned from agricultural to B-2 General Business District in 1971.

Prior to that time, Cropper said the entire parcel was zoned A-1 Agricultural District, which is what the owners would prefer, since it would allow the company to create more campsites.

"Right now you have 210 campsites which is really marginal to operate a campground," he said. "If they could get 300 or 350 campsites it will have very little impact on the neighborhood because it would be wholly contained. What you're going to see is a natural expansion of this campground."

Wikileaks — Clinton Campaign: Strengthening Bribery Laws ’REALLY Dicey Territory’ For Her

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 03:00 PM PDT

The Clinton campaign struggled over data showing the public favors strengthening laws against bribery, noting that Hillary Clinton's political record would make it difficult for her to champion the issue.

In an email to Clinton insider Neera Tanden, long-time Clinton loyalist and current campaign foreign policy adviser Jake Sullivan discussed a memo on government reform and public corruption and whether to implement the recommendations into the campaign.

"Strengthen bribery laws to ensure that politicians don't change legislation for political donations," read one recommendation in the memo.

Sullivan flagged it "a favorite of mine" but added, "as you know, but REALLY dicey territory for HRC, right?"

"She may be so tainted she's really vulnerable," replied Tanden, but noted that Clinton could try to cite her experience as a reason why things had to change.

Officials Exploring Action On Boat Safety Concerns; Child’s Death Could Result In Push For Md. Law On Bow-Riding

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 02:30 PM PDT

OCEAN CITY — After a run of serious boating accidents in the resort this summer, including a fatal propeller strike that claimed the life of a child in August, a coalition of professional bay captains initiated a push for tighter regulations and standards for the rental industry, and it appears their efforts have not fallen on deaf ears.

There were three serious incidents involving rented pontoon boats in the bays around Ocean City in the span of about three weeks in August, including a fatal accident involving a 9-year child who fell off a boat while bow-riding, prompting a coalition of professional captains to push for increased safety measures and better training for boat renters before they are simply handed the keys and sent out on the water. The issues have existed for years, and while the timing coincided with the fatal accident involving the child, that incident was alone not the catalyst for the boat captains to seek change.

To be sure, there are plenty of rock solid rental operators who maintain their vessels with the best safety equipment and provide extensive training and guidance to renters, but there are an in-kind number of operators who simply hand over the keys and send weekend warriors out in the crowded bay with little more than a quick briefing. It is the latter that is causing serious, sometimes fatal, incidents on the water. It is not a new problem and incidents have been reported for as long as there have been rented vessels of all shapes and sizes, from small jet skis to large pontoon boats carrying double-digit passengers, intermingling with thousands of other boats out on the water on a typical summer day.

WikiLeaks emails include list of Clinton Foundation conflicts of interest

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 02:00 PM PDT

Clinton Foundation employees engaged in numerous outside activities that put them at risk for potential conflicts of interest, emails made public by WikiLeaks show.

For example, Chelsea Clinton used her foundation office "to run a business" and another employee used "office space of a donor in [C]hicago."

The list of potential conflicts was included in an email from Doug Band, a former aide to Bill Clinton who helped build the Clinton Foundation before co-founding a consulting firm called Teneo Strategies.

In the Nov. 2011 memo, Band mentioned he was still employed by the Clinton Executive Service Corporation even though he had left the foundation to start Teneo. CESC was used to manage many of the Clintons' affairs, and was used as the vehicle to purchase services forHillary Clinton's private email server.

Wallops Island’s Future Exciting For Shore

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 01:30 PM PDT

You don't have to love science or have a curious mind about space travel to be enthralled by Monday night's rocket launch from NASA's Wallops Island facility.

It was a sight to behold for thousands of residents who watched the launch from their backyards, the Inlet parking lot in Ocean City and Assateague Island. The clear nighttime conditions provided ideal viewing conditions for the launch of the Antares rocket, which is taking more than 5,000 pounds of supplies and experiments to the International Space Station.

While the visuals were impressive, it's the technology and science behind it that should be celebrated, and according to witnesses rounds of applause could be heard at most of the large gathering areas for Monday's launch.

Moving forward and ahead after last year's forced explosion of a similar rocket was critical for Wallops Island's future, which looks bright on a number of fronts, including economic development in the forms of professional jobs. That will in turn support all sectors of society, including real estate and associated industries as well as retail, education and health care.

Fact-Check: Yes, the Clinton Foundation Took Millions from Countries That 'Treat Women Horribly'

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 01:00 PM PDT

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said during the third presidential debate that the Clinton Foundation accepted millions of dollars in donations from counties that "treat women horribly."

Fact-Check: TRUE

Trump, in fact, mentioned that the Clinton Foundation took money from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Indeed, Saudi Arabia has donated up to $50 million to the Clinton Foundation, despite there horrid human rights. In fact, Hillary Clinton's own Sate Department criticized Saudi Arabia for its "lack of equal rights for women and children" and said human trafficking and violence against women are "common" in that country.

Family Seeks Cameras On Elevators After Scary Situation

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 12:30 PM PDT

OCEAN CITY — A Salisbury woman this week related a harrowing story of her special needs son stuck in a resort hotel elevator for several hours in August as she made an impassioned plea for an ordinance to require cameras in elevators.

Salisbury resident Michelle Ben appeared before the Mayor and Council during the public comment period of Monday's meeting and related the story of her autistic son, David, being stuck in an elevator in August and how her non-verbal son continued to hit the call button to no avail. After several hours, Ben was able to reach out to the child from the front desk via the elevator phone and first-responders were able to find him.

Ben said she checked into the north-end hotel on Aug. 19 with her twin sons, David and Adam, the first of which was autistic. Around 10:30 p.m. that night, a frantic search ensued for her special needs child.

"My son and I searched for David for about 40 minutes and we could not find him," she said. "We went to the front desk to ask for help. For about 90 minutes, which is a long time when you're looking for a child and your stomach is in your throat, me and my other son, the hotel manager, the hotel security guard and two police officers searched for David but we could not find him."

State works hard, and illegally, for Clinton

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 12:00 PM PDT

The FBI has released still more notes on the investigation of Hillary Clinton, this time impugning the way State Department went through tens of thousands of emails she hid from the public for years. State is supposed to operate transparently but clearly had only two priorities — to cover its own backside, and to cover hers.

The FBI notes reveal suspicions about unnamed personnel at State assigned to vet the emails for release. The work history of some of them "appeared to create a conflict of interest," say the notes. One had been "possibly involved" in the IRS scandal, in which conservative nonprofit applicants were targeted for harassment.

Given that, their work product was what you'd expect. The names of officials were improperly whited out to protect them. At the same time, career government staff were put under pressure to avoid national security redactions, especially in the Benghazi-related communications that had to be handed over to Congress.

State's top brass lobbied against classified redactions, and wanted, illegally, to pretend that redactions made to conceal classified information were actually due to something other than national secrecy. Why? Because every redaction based on national secrecy was an admission that Clinton lied when she claimed never to have received classified information on her private, unsecured email system. In fact, there was far too much classified information on her server to allow that subterfuge to work.

Proposed Changes To Poultry Regs Tabled In Worcester

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 11:30 AM PDT

SNOW HILL – A draft of new poultry regulations was sent back to the drawing board as the Worcester County Commissioners opted not to introduce the bill at this week's legislative session.

On Tuesday, none of the commissioners offered the support needed to send the proposed regulations on to public hearing. The regulations, put forth in a text amendment developed by Worcester County Development Review and Permitting staff, received a favorable recommendation from the county's planning commission earlier this month.

Commission President Jim Bunting said the lack of action was due to the fact that more stakeholder meetings were necessary.

"We got a lot of emails from poultry farmers complaining they didn't have time to digest everything or have any input," Bunting said.

He said county officials would meet with Ed Tudor, head of the department of development review and permitting, as well as with area farmers and other stakeholders to go over the amendment currently proposed. Bunting believes all interested parties agree that there's a need for updated regulations as Confined Animal Feeding Operations become more common.

The Lost Tribe of Clover Hollow – Oldest Civilization in the World Found in Appalachian Mountains?

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 11:00 AM PDT

Both the south and north sides of Sinking Creek would have risen steeply with rock formations covering both sides. A narrow ancient Native American trail would have wound itself along the south side of Sinking Creek alongside the steep cliff, and the north side would rise steeply toward the sky, unchanged from what it is today. The creation of the dam and millpond in the early 1800's effectively cut off the north side of Sinking Creek from any human contact since. The only thing that has changed on the north side of the creek since the millpond was created is the water level. You can still imagine the steep slope of the creek side continuing further down under the water of the millpond.

Petroglyphs and Stone Alignments

Ancient cultural influences detected at Clover Hollow include strange and mystical stone alignments. Facing each other across Sinking Creek are two rock outcroppings that stand there like the piers of a gate. The carvings on these 'gateposts' are the same abstract facial features and artistic self expression as found on all the rock formations at the site—very anthropomorphic in style and design. They look as though they could be straight out of an Indiana Jones movie. All of the ancient rock carvings at this site are 3D in nature and could be described as 'petroglyphs of the broad type' as one archaeologist has suggested.

‘My son is not breathing’: Harrowing video shows hero cop saving toddler in distress

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 10:30 AM PDT

"My son is not breathing."

Seconds after a distraught Texas father uttered those chilling words to a 911 operator, Officer Chase Miller was on his way.

He didn't have to respond; the emergency dispatcher was already sending paramedics to the KFC in Granbury, Tex., where a 3-year-old boy was unresponsive and his sobbing mother was screaming his name: "Brayden, Brayden!"

But Miller — who just happened to be listening to the EMS dispatcher radio at the time — didn't wait for the paramedics to arrive; instead, he rushed to the scene, knowing it was a short drive away.

A dash cam video captured at the scene and later posted on YouTube by the city of Granbury shows Miller pulling into the parking lot to find every parent's worst nightmare playing out: A terrified mother holding her toddler's limp body as the boy's father and several other people attempt to revive him.

Clinton server email at heart of 'quid pro quo' controversy contained Benghazi intel

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 10:00 AM PDT

The email at the heart of a "quid pro quo" controversy involving a senior State Department executive and the FBI contained intelligence about suspects in the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack, two government sources told Fox News.

Heavily redacted FBI interview summaries, known as 302s, state that Patrick Kennedy, a top lieutenant to Hillary Clinton when she was secretary of state, wanted to deep-six the email – which was one of two on her personal server that kick-started the FBI investigation into the mishandling of classified information on her unsecured system.

The Nov. 18, 2012 email sent to then-Secretary Clinton by aide Jake Sullivan contains the subject line "Fw:FYI - Report of arrests -- possible Benghazi connection."

It contains "B1" redactions for classified information and "B1.4D" redactions for "Foreign relations or foreign activities of the United States, including confidential sources" -- as well as "B7" redactions covering "law enforcement" activities.

Fact-Check: Yes, Hillary Clinton's Foreign Policy Contributed to the Rise of the Islamic State

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 09:53 AM PDT

During Wednesday night's final 2016 presidential debate, Republican nominee Donald Trump repeatedly asserted that rival Hillary Clinton, in her capacity as secretary of state under President Barack Obama, "gave us ISIS."

Fact-Check: MOSTLY TRUE

"Look at her real record," Trump said. "Take a look at Syria, take a look at the migration, take a look at Libya, take a look at Iraq. She gave us ISIS because her and Obama created this huge vacuum and a small group came out of that huge vacuum."

Trump argued of Iraq, "we should have never gotten out the way they wanted to get out." He noted that the Islamic State was now present in "32 countries."

'Smoking Gun' Email Confirms DNC Involvement In Inciting Violence At Trump Rallies

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 09:45 AM PDT

Just a few days ago, Project Veritas released a bombshell video exposing coordinated efforts between the Hillary Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee, Democracy Partners (run by Robert Creamer) and The Foval Group (run by Scott Foval) to incite violence at Trump rallies across the country. The Clinton campaign and the DNC have vehemently denied the validity of the Project Veritas video but new emails discovered from WikiLeaks' previous "DNC Leaks" seem to confirm the DNC's involvement.

Recall in the first Project Veritas video, that the following people made the following claims (video below):

"Aaron Black" (real name: Aaron Minter) (appears at 9 mins 10 secs): "So, I'm basically deputy rapid response director for the DNC for all thing Trump on the ground. Nobody is really supposed to know about me. So the Chicago protest when they shut all that, that was us. It was more him (Bob Creamer) than me, but non of this is supposed to come back to us, because we want it coming from people, we don't want it to come from the party."

Bob Creamer (appears at 10 mins 50 secs): "We have a call with the campaign every day to go over the focuses that need to be undertaken."

Zulema Rodrigues (appears at 10 mins 58 secs): "I just had a call with the campaign and the DNC. Everyday at one o'clock."

REPORT: Clinton Foundation Donor Lands Taxpayer-Funded Factory in Haiti

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 09:37 AM PDT

Reports reveal that tens of millions in taxpayer dollars were used to build a clothing factory in Haiti for a company that has donated to the Clinton Foundation and whose owner invested in Cheryl Mills' private consulting company.

By 2012, Sae-A Trading Company, a South Korean clothing manufacture, had become the flagship tenant in a much-celebrated Haitian industrial park. Both Bill and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attended the factory's ribbon-cutting ceremony.

"A single building was not here a year ago, and now more than a thousand Haitians are coming to work," Hillary Clinton said at the ceremony, according to ABC News. "This is something that is remarkable."

Hillary Clinton's former chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, according to the New York Times, played a prominent roll in bringing Sae-A to Haiti.

"Ms. Mills took the lead on smoothing the way for the company, Sae-A Trading," theTimes reports. "When [Mills] presided over the project's unveiling in September 2010, she introduced Sae-A's chairman, Woong-ki Kim, as the most important person at the ceremony, which included Mrs. Clinton and the Haitian prime minister."

Chromium-6 in Ocean City tap water, new study shows

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 09:30 AM PDT

Resort, Worcester County tests positive, but levels below federal regulations
A study released by the activist organization Environmental Working Group has discovered that Ocean City's tap water, along with that from thousands of wells across the nation are contaminated by chromium-6, a heavy metal that poses a multitude of health dangers.

The problem, however, is that there is some dispute over what levels of contamination are acceptable.

According to the study and the resort's 2015 annual water quality report, Ocean City has an average of .36 parts per billion of chromium-6 in its four distribution plants.

That is well below the standard set by the Environmental Protection Agency — .1 milligrams per liter, or 100 parts per billion - for chromium of all forms, including chromium-6.

Under federal and Maryland Department of the Environment guidelines, municipalities are required to screen for certain unregulated chemicals, including chromium-6, once every five years. The resort completed its testing for the chemical in 2015.

Bill Clinton Receives 'Expensive Gifts' From Sponsors

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 09:23 AM PDT

Bill Clinton receives "expensive gifts" and is "personally paid" by sponsors of the Clinton Global Initiative, an annual gathering of the global elite that the former president hosts every year.

The surprise claim was made by Doug Band, Bill Clinton's longtime aide and the co-founder of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), in a Nov. 17, 2011 email released by WikiLeaks on Thursday.

Band appeared frustrated that he was forced to sign a conflict of interest policy for his roles as a CGI board member and adviser to the Clinton Foundation while Clinton did not.

"I signed a conflict of interest policy as a board member of cgi," he wrote in an email to John Podesta, the Clinton campaign chairman whose hacked emails were released by WikiLeaks.

In terms of voter fraud, or the election being "rigged," Babin said, "There are fraud investigations going on right now in three states: Virginia, Indiana, and Colorado. And we know that in Virginia, Gov. McAuliffe tried unsuccessfully to pardon thousands and thousands of convicted felons, and the state Supreme Court shot that down."

If Clinton wins, America, kiss your right to self-defense good-bye

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 09:00 AM PDT

In terms of individual rights, there has probably never been so much at stake in a presidential election. If Hillary Clinton wins, Americans will soon lose the right of self-defense in their own homes.

Wednesday night in Las Vegas moderator Chris Wallace quickly started off the debate by asking Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton about the Second Amendment. Hillary was asked about her claim: "the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment."

The 2008 Heller decision struck down Washington, D.C.'s complete ban on handguns. Before the decision, people in the District could own a rifle or a shotgun, it was a felony to load the gun. This amounted to a complete ban on guns, and the Supreme Court said that Washington went too far.

But then, on Wednesday night, Clinton suggested that Wallace had misunderstood her statement.

WikiLeaks — Huma Abedin: 'No Love Lost' In Hillary Clinton’s Relationship With Al Gore

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 08:45 AM PDT

Top campaign aides for Hillary Clinton gossiped over email last year after former Vice President Al Gore signaled that he wasn't ready to endorse a candidate for president.

In November 2015, Clinton aide Cheryl Mills forwarded a People magazine article to John Podesta and Huma Abedin where Gore declined to endorse Hillary Clinton in the interview.

"Yes he warned us," Abedin replied.

When Podesta queried as to why, Abedin explained that Gore had told them when the campaign began that he wouldn't endorse Clinton.

"Curiuos (sic) – why?" asked Mills, "As he clearly expected her to endorse him as vp when he ran."

"Well that was 16 years ago," she wrote. "Hard to put on email but there is no love lost in this relationship. Reminder that he also refused to endorse in 2008!!!"

Mills signaled that she hoped that it would be "different" in 2016.

"No. It's bad," Abedin replied cryptically.

Update on Bullying of a Public School Bus Driver

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 08:37 AM PDT

Update coming soon on SBYNEWS re: Bullying by a Public School bus driver.

I took my granddaughter to the board of education today to tell her story of this horrible ordeal of being called stupid and ridiculed by her bus driver because she is visually impaired. The transportation department defended the bus driver and admitted numerous other people have the same complaints regarding this bus driver. He said he had thought it had settled down. He also stated he reviewed the tape and she did yell something at Kierra but he could not make out what was said. He went further to say Kierra was sitting quietly in her assigned seat when this bus driver turned and yelled something to her. I suggested to ask any students on the bus at the time what they heard. The conversation changed to the bus driver really wants her back on her bus. She's a good kid. And never any trouble with Kierra. Not satisfied with what we were being told, the receptionist called the secretary to the assistant superintendent out to talk to Kierra about the incident. She also said not to expect anything soon as they have numerous meetings next week. In the meantime, Kierra still will not get on that bus with that driver and has become more isolated and depressed since Monday. This fight isn't just for Kierra, it's for every child that has been or potentially will be exposed to this type of behavior by an adult left to watch over our children.

Woman impales foot on sign post buried on beach

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 08:30 AM PDT

With nearly 16 million feet burying their toes in the sand on the Ocean City beach during the summer, and dozens of people playing Ultimate Frisbee in the same area this past Saturday, it was the right foot of Lynnie Bresnahan that was the unlucky one.

Buried under inches of well-trod sand was a foot-long piece of what appeared to be a broken piece of a sign post, or an object Public Works Director Hal Adkins said reminded him of snow fence, which the resort hasn't used in years.

The object appeared mostly intact, except for the ragged top, and was still encased in what appeared to be a green plastic or rubber coating — free from rust or signs of saltwater damage. Though it looked fairly new, there isn't a way to determine how long it had been lurking down there.

Obama Warned of Rigged Elections Back in 2008

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 08:15 AM PDT

At a campaign rally for Hillary Clinton on Thursday in Miami Gardens, Fla., President Obama condemned Donald Trump's "rigged election" claims, describing these remarks as "dangerous."

"When you try to sow the seeds of doubt in people's minds about the legitimacy of our election, that undermines our democracy," he said.

"When you suggest rigging or fraud without a shred of evidence, when last night at the debate, Trump becomes the first major party nominee in American history to suggest that he will not concede despite losing…that is not a joking matter," Obama added.

Trump said at the third presidential debate that he would keep the United States "in suspense" as to whether he would accept the election results. Later, at a campaign rally, he promised in a jesting manner that he would accept the results "if I win" as the crowd roared.

But despite condemning Trump for suggesting an election can be rigged, here is a clip of then-candidate Barack Obama in 2008 warning about voter fraud and suggesting Republicans could try to sway the election in their favor.

"Well, I tell you what it helps in Ohio, that we got Democrats in charge of the machines," Obama said regarding the threat of election-rigging.

Video Shows USPS Worker Dumping Bins Of Mail In A Ditch

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 08:07 AM PDT

Yet another United States Postal Service employee is joining The Mail Carrier Hall Of Shame, after being accused of dumping hundreds of pieces of mail into a ditch — while a local filmed the whole thing.

The USPS is investigating after residents in Decatur, GA reported seeing a mail carrier throwing several bins of mail into the woods behind a subdivision, WSB-TV reports.

The subdivision's HOA president witnessed the dumping on Tuesday, and sent the news station video and photos of incident.

"I sat there and recorded for about five minutes. And he continued to just grab more mail and continued to just toss it over the fence," she told WSB-TV. "At one point he actually stopped and took a break like he was tired, and continued to toss the mail. He eventually drove off like it was normal."

Hillary Makes It Through 3 Debates Without Accounting For Libya

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 08:00 AM PDT

Clinton was a strong advocate of military force against Libya in 2011

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton made it through all three presidential debates without ever addressing her role in the 2011 U.S. intervention in Libya.

The closest Clinton came to addressing her role in the Libyan intervention was after criticism of Libya's failed state by Republican nominee Donald Trump in the first debate.

"He actually advocated for the actions we took in Libya and urged that Gadhafi be taken out, after actually doing some business with him one time," Clintonresponded at the time.

"I think President Obama made the right decision at the time," Clinton said, defending the intervention at the first Democratic primary debate in October 2015. Even President Barack Obama has expressed extreme regret for his decision to intervene in Libya in 2011, telling Jeffery Goldberg of The Atlantic, "It didn't work," and that "Libya is a mess."

T-Mobile Will Pay $48M To Close FCC Investigation Into Limits On “Unlimited” Data Plans

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 07:53 AM PDT

If you're going to market "unlimited" wireless data plans, you'd better adequately disclose that, as the name might imply, you're not selling unfettered access to all the data you could possibly use in a month. Otherwise, you could end up on the hook for millions of dollars in penalties and discounts.

The FCC announced this morning that it has reached a settlement — valued at $48 million total — with T-Mobile to close its investigation into T-Mobile's alleged failure to properly disclose the restrictions on connection speeds and data for "unlimited" data plans offered by the magenta-hued wireless provider.

The FCC's 2010 Open Internet Order includes a Transparency Rule requiring broadband providers to "publicly disclose accurate information regarding the network management practices, performance, and commercial terms" of its services. These disclosures must be "sufficient for consumers to make informed choices regarding use of such services and for content, application, service, and device providers to develop, market, and maintain Internet offerings."

Man to serve jail time for Boardwalk melee

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 07:30 AM PDT

Court appearances for a handful of people who face charges relating to the Boardwalk brawl in July will continue into the winter, since three out of the four individuals had their trial dates recently rescheduled.

The fourth, 21-year-old Antwan Darryl English of Baltimore, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault of an officer on Monday morning in Ocean City District Court.

English was one of 11 people who were arrested for their parts in two large-scale confrontations with Ocean City Police on the Boardwalk on July 23 and July 24. The first incident was sparked when officers attempted to arrest Kevin Rusten of Silver Spring for kicking and throwing a trashcan near 1st Street and Atlantic Avenue around 9:45 p.m.

Rusten then punched an officer and attempted to head-butt another while resisting arrest. A hostile crowd formed while he was detained, and additional officers were called to help disperse the crowd.

Fact-Check: Yes, Hillary Clinton Wants a 550% Increase in Syrian Refugees in U.S.

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 07:15 AM PDT

During Wednesday night's presidential debate, Republican nominee Donald Trump asserted that his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton wants a 550% increase in the number of Syrian refugees entering the United States.

Fact-check: TRUE

In response to a question from moderator Chris Wallace about a private speech Clinton gave in which she said she favored "open borders," Clinton condemned Wikileaks as an ally of Russia. Trump dismissed this as a distraction from the original question.

"She wants open borders… people are going to come in from Syria," he argued. "He wants 550% more people than Barack Obama and he has thousands and thousands of people and they have no idea where they come from."

Hillary Got $12 Mil from Moroccan King

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 07:00 AM PDT

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arranged a $12 million donation from Moroccan King Mohammed VI to her family's charity in 2014 in return for the Clinton Global Initiative hosting its international meeting in the North African Muslim nation, according to an email made public Thursday by Wikileaks.

The Moroccan monarch's funds went to the Clinton Foundation's endowment and to CGI. The Jan. 18, 2015, email was included in Wikileaks' latest batch of communications to and from Clinton's presidential campaign chairman, John Podesta.

The email from Huma Abedin, Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff at the State Department, was addressed to Podesta and campaign manager Robby Mook. Hillary Clinton was a director of the foundation at the time.

Singapore and Hong Kong officials reportedly were also vying to convene the CGI meeting in their countries, but the North African nation ultimately hosted it in a five-star hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco, in 2015. Abedin told Podesta and Mook that Morocco was not CGI's "first choice."

Did Hillary Expose Nuclear National Secret In Last Night's Debate?

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:53 AM PDT

Hillary's comments in last night's debate about nuclear response times caught a lot of people off-guard. Here's what she said:

"The bottom line on nuclear weapons is when the President gives the order it must be followed. There's about 4 minutes between the order being given and the people responsible for launching nuclear weapons to do so. And that's why 10 people who have had that awesome responsibility have come out and, in an unprecedented way, said they would not trust Donald Trump with the nuclear codes or to have his finger on the nuclear button."

To summarize, Hillary Clinton just told any potential enemy out there A) how close they need to be to the target to launch their nuclear weapons (submarine, bomber) at current delivery system speeds and B) how fast future delivery systems need to travel in order to provide enough standoff while negating any retaliatory action by the President of the United States.

The Federal Reserve Is Hillary Clinton's Secret Weapon

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:45 AM PDT

Say what you want about Donald J. Trump, but he is correct about one thing: the Federal Reserve has, with near certainty, been holding interest rates down for political purposes — namely, to aid Hillary Clinton in getting elected president of the United States.

In September's first presidential debate, Mr. Trump said:

We have a Fed that's doing political things. … The Fed is [being awfully] political by keeping the interest rates at this level. And believe me: The day Obama goes off, and he leaves [office], and goes out to the golf course for the rest of his life to play golf, [is the day that] they raise interest rates. … The Fed is being more political than Secretary Clinton.

The Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) September meeting minutes, released on Wednesday, have proven Mr. Trump's assertion to be true. As the 2016 election season draws to a close, the Fed has suddenly become more bullish on the prospect of raising interest rates — and this precipitous change-of-heart has come despite there being few notable signs of hope in the US's economic data.

‘I Had Nothing to Do With That!’ Obama Dodges Blame For Skyrocketing Premiums

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:37 AM PDT

President Barack Obama offers multiple excuses for why health insurance premiums continue to skyrocket, including blaming Republicans and insurance companies for the problems.

He complains that too many reporters spend more time discussing premium increases than explaining why he isn't responsible for them.

"No, I had nothing to do with that," Obama said, calling it "complicated" despite the "hysteria" that was growing.

Obama traveled to Florida to argue that Obamacare was working well, but needed to be fixed.

During his speech, he pointed out that when smart phone companies released a product that had bugs in it, they fixed it.

"Unless it catches fire. Then they pull it off the market," he admitted, likely referring to the disastrous exploding Samsung Galaxy S7.

But the president argued that companies weren't trying to repeal smart phones, but rather fix the problems with the modern devices rather than return to rotary dial up phones.

Resort Council To Consider Tow Rate Hike Proposal

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:30 AM PDT

OCEAN CITY — Towing rates in Ocean City will likely be going up after the resort's Police Commission this week voted to forward a favorable recommendation on the proposed fee hikes to the full Mayor and Council.

On Wednesday, the Police Commission resumed its discussion on the across-the-board tow rate increases proposed by a unified group of industry representatives last month. The town's code currently sets the maximum rate for a standard tow at $150, a figure that has remained unchanged since 2008, but the local tow companies that work with the town are seeking a graduated, across-the-board hike by as much as 100 percent in some cases.

Following a cursory introduction to the proposed rate increases last month, the Police Commission tabled the discussion in order to explore what other jurisdictions and agencies were doing around Worcester County. Ocean City Police Department Records Supervisor Michelle Monico was tasked with researching what neighboring jurisdictions were doing with their tow rates and policies and Monico reported back to the commission on Wednesday.

Fact-Check: Yes, Hillary Clinton Wants to Double Capital Gains Taxes

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:23 AM PDT

During the third presidential debate, Donald Trump said that Hillary Clinton's plan would "more than double" capital gains taxes.

Fact-Check: MOSTLY TRUE

Tax reform proposals tend to be complicated, and there is disagreement about their projected effects, but as the Wall Street Journal described Clinton's proposal:

The proposal calls for taxes on gains from investments held for less than two years to nearly double to the standard income-tax rate of 39.6%. The rate would gradually drop, reaching 20% for investments held at least six years. Under current law, the 20% rate is available for top earners if they hold investments for at least one year. These figures don't count an extra 3.8% tax on net investment income for upper-income earners included as part of the health-care law.

So, not "more than double," but "nearly double," with a gradual drop in the rate over six years – the latest effort by politicians to micro-manage the "free market" and control investment decisions. (The Wall Street Journal quoted some analysts who doubted Clinton's plan would either raise the tax money she wants, or affect investment decisions the way she anticipates.)

Clinton Email That Caused The "Quid Pro Quo" Controversy Included Intel On Benghazi Attackers

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:15 AM PDT

The latest round of FBI 302s created quite a stir when it revealed a blatant "quid pro quo" arrangement between a senior executive at the State Department, Patrick Kennedy, and an FBI agent. Per the 302s, Kennedy contacted someone within the FBI to seek "assistance in altering the email's classification in exchange for a 'quid pro quo.'" In return for altering the email's classification, Kennedy promised that "STATE would reciprocate by allowing the FBI to place more Agents in countries where they are presently forbidden."
FBI 1

The 302s also explained that Kennedy needed the email to be changed to unclassified because it "caused problems for Kennedy" who wanted to reclassify the email as "B9" which would exempt it from FOIA discovery and allow Kennedy to "archive the document in the basement of DOS never to be seen again."
FBI
Now, according to Fox News, government sources have confirmed that the email behind the "quid pro quo" arrangement is the one below sent from Jake Sullivan to Hillary on November 18, 2012 at 8:44PM. The email is heavily redacted but seemingly includes intel on the Benghazi attackers who stormed a U.S. compound the previous month on September 11, 2012.

Given the heavy redaction, it's difficult to say exactly why this particular email was of such great concern to Kennedy. Given that the email was marked "Classified: SECRET", perhaps he was simply concerned that it proved that Hillary sent classified information over her private network. Or, given the timing of the message being sent just 12 days after the election in 2012, perhaps there is evidence in the email that Hillary and Obama both knew from the beginning that the September 11 attacks in Benghazi were never just a "spontaneous reaction to a youtube video" but a coordinated terrorist attack...if so, Mitt Romney would sure love to have a look at what's behind those whited out boxes.

Washington Post: Paul Ryan Next Target for Populist Movement

Robert Costa writes in the Washington Post that the "first post-election target" of the populist and nationalist movement that propelled GOP nominee Donald Trump's campaign will likely be the Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

From the Washington Post:

The first post-election target for the grievance movement is likely to be House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.), who has drawn Trump's wrath for not supporting him more fully. Trump's backers, both inside the House Republican caucus and out, are already talking about a takedown.

Fox News host and Trump ally Sean Hannity said in an interview after the debate that Ryan was a "saboteur" and "needed to be called out and replaced." Hannity said he would actively urge hard-line conservatives to launch bids against Ryan.

LEGENDARY COMMENTS BY GEORGE CHEVALLIER 10-22-16

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 06:00 AM PDT

FIRST CAR

How many of you remember your first car - especially those of you who grew up in the 50's and 60's? I remember mine well. My father and grandfather went halves on it for my graduation from Wi-Hi in 1961. I wanted a '57, either a Ford or Chevy, because they were more stylish with their rear fins. Being a wiser and more practical man, my father found this '56 Ford at Oliphant's Chevrolet. At the time, a '57 was priced at around $1295. This Ford was priced at $895. The price was $200 higher than most '56's were going for because it only had 19,059 miles and was in great shape. It had belonged to two little old ladies (honestly) from Fruitland. They had bought it for their nephew and he only had it for 6 months before he gave it back to them for the same reason I didn't like it at first – four door, automatic transmission and not very fast at all. But as any 17-year old, I was glad to get anything to call my own.

In those days, there was a saying that was going around that "if it didn't run, chrome it". I then began the transformation of a dowdy Ford into something with which I could be identified. My father was very understanding and said I could do anything I wanted with one exception. I couldn't put a name on the side. In fact, he was more than supportive. Being an engineer at Wayne Pump he loved coming up with ideas for my car. The first thing we did was remove all the metal that was removable from the inside of the car. This included all the window frames, ash trays and the metal piece around the steering column that housed the letters that showed you what gear you were in. He then took all these pieces to the plant and had them dipped in the acid tank in the paint department, reducing them to bare metal. I then took them to Peninsula Goslee and they chrome plated them all for the princely sum of $35.

Next on the schedule was a trip to Wilmington for a set of Rayco seat covers. I had them custom made so that they looked like rolled and pleated leather, but they were actually pressed naugahyde. They looked great. In doing this article, I couldn't even find "naugahyde" in the dictionary, so I guess that is something else that has passed like so many other things into the great abyss of "long-ago America".

One of Pop's best ideas was the rear deck. Since most of them were made out of cardboard and suffered the effects of the sun, he decided that mine should be made of rigidized stainless steel. This material had passed the weather test on the side of many a Sunoco pump, so he took my wrinkled up piece of cardboard and had the engineering lab cut one out to the exact dimensions. It looked fabulous and I was very proud of Pop for coming up with that idea.

Several other additions were custom Dodge four bar spinner wheel covers, "lake pipes" behind the front wheels that really sounded great when the caps were removed, glass pack mufflers and several other cosmetic changes. The monogram pictured above was also made in the Wayne engineering lab and replaced the "Ford" emblem on the dash compartment door. Even though it never "ran", it was my signature possession and I loved it for the five years that I owned it.

Former Haitian Senate President Calls Clintons "Common Thieves Who Should Be In Jail"

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 05:45 AM PDT

Despite repeatedly bragging about all the good work the Clinton Foundation did to help Haiti recover from the devastating 2010 earthquake, at least one Haitian, former Senate President Bernard Sansaricq, thinks it was the Clintons, not the Hiatian people, who benefitted most from the Foundation's "charitable work" in Haiti. Appearing on a radio show last week, Sansaricq offered a scathing assessment of the Clinton's track record in Haiti saying they are "nothing but common thieves...and they should be in jail." Per PJ Media:

Sandy Rios of American Family Radio interviewed former Haitian Senate President Bernard Sansaricq on Thursday, and the enraged Haitian had nothing good to say about the Clintons. He angrily claimed that they brought their "pay to play" politics to Haiti at the expense of the Haitian people.

Sansaricq said that the Clinton Foundation received 14.3 billion dollars in donation money to help with the relief effort. President Obama and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon put the Clinton Foundation in charge of the reconstruction, but Haiti has seen no help. The money all went to friends of Bill Clinton.

"They are nothing but common thieves," the enraged Sansaricq told Rios. "And they should be in jail."

As also highlighted in the movie "Clinton Cash," Sansaricq argued that the Clinton's did nothing more than bring their pay-to-play tactics to Haiti resulting in the enrichment of Clinton cronies, including Hillary's brother Anthony Rodham, whose company was awarded a lucrative gold mining contract.

Sansaricq said although Bill Clinton was put in charge of the reconstruction, he did absolutely nothing but give contracts to his cronies and built a sweatshop next to a goldmine that was given to Hillary Clinton's brother, Anthony Rodham, in violation of the Haitian constitution.

He said he could go on for hours about the Clinton Foundation's destruction of the rice production in Haiti because they were importing rice from Clinton's cronies in Arkansas. And rice is something Haiti could really use right now.

The Clintons also awarded the country's only cell phone company to another crony, Denis O'Brien, using taxpayer dollars. O'Brien has made 265 million dollars, and a substantial portion of that has gone back to the Clinton Foundation.

Hillary camp tried ‘to insulate Islam from terrorism’

Expert warns Dem candidate 'likely to be even worse than Obama' on jihadi mayhem

Two Hillary Clinton campaign officials expressed disappointment last December when they found out one of the San Bernardino terrorists had an ethnic-sounding name. This was revealed in a private email released by WikiLeaks.

Which suggests, strongly, that a Hillary Clinton White House could be focused on insulating Islam from terror and she would "likely" be worse than Barack Obama

It was after MSNBC host Chris Hayes tweeted, "NBC News now reporting a U.S. citizen named Sayeed Farouk [sic] believed to be one of the people involved in the shooting" that Karen Finney, a Clinton campaign spokeswoman, responded in an internal email with one word: "Damn."

She then forwarded the tweet with her response to John Podesta, the Clinton campaign chairman. Podesta emailed back, "Better if a guy named Sayeed Farouk [sic] was reporting that a guy named Christopher Hayes was the shooter."

Podesta and senior advisor to advocacy group Engage Cuba Luke Albee discussed the contentious House Committee hearing held about her conduct during the deadly terrorist attack on a U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya.

Citizen journalism and social media has overpowered the collapsing, discredited mainstream media, says Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe.

"You are seeing social media and the grassroots in this country become more powerful than the mainstream media," O'Keefe said on The Alex Jones Show Thursday. "We're the social media barbarians at the gates."

Because the bombshell Project Veritas videos are receiving enormous online attention, the mainstream media is now forced to do their job and cover it after Republican nominee Donald Trump brought them up at the final presidential debate and people "flooded their inboxes."

"If they air this stuff, the election's over," O'Keefe added.

Laurel – The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving a tractor trailer and pick up truck that occurred early yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. Friday October 21, 2016 as Andrea C. Reid, 71 of Laurel, was operating a 2010 Ford Ranger pickup truck northbound on Old Stage Road approaching the intersection of Whitesville Road (SR30) which is controlled by a posted stop sign. Carlton N. Willing, 57 of Laurel, was operating a 2003 Freightliner Tractor Trailer, pulling a partially loaded feed trailer, eastbound on SR30 approaching the intersection of Old Stage Road and had the right of way at this intersection. For unknown reasons, Reid failed to slow or stop for the stop sign and entered the intersection and struck the right side of the tractor trailer. After the impact, the pickup truck rotated approximately 180 degrees and was pushed off the right side of the road where it came to a stop in a ditch. The tractor trailer continued in an easterly direction and pulled to a controlled stop in the eastbound lane east of the intersection.

Andrea Reid, who was not properly restrained, was ejected from her vehicle and pronounced dead as the scene.

Carlton Willing was properly restrained and was uninjured in the crash.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident. Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in this collision. SR30 at Old Stage Road was closed for approximately four hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.

Gun rights advocates and other experts are firing back at Hillary Clinton's assertion in Wednesday's presidential debate that she opposed the 2008 U.S. Supreme Court decision on gun rights because the court failed to protect toddlers from getting access to firearms.

The issue was raised early in the debate as part of a wider discussion on how Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump view the Supreme Court. Moderator Chris Wallace asked pointed questions of both candidates on the Second Amendment, and he specifically asked Clinton about why she was critical of the 2008 decision in District of Columbia v. Heller.

"Secretary Clinton, you said last year, let me quote, 'The Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment.' And now, in fact, in the 2008 Heller case, the court ruled that there is a constitutional right to bear arms, but a right that is reasonably limited. Those were the words of the Judge Antonin Scalia who wrote the decision. What's wrong with that?" asked Wallace.

After stating she respected the right of individuals to own firearms, Clinton addressed the Heller decision.

"You mentioned the Heller decision. And what I was saying that you referenced, Chris, was that I disagreed with the way the court applied the Second Amendment in that case, because what the District of Columbia was trying to do was to protect toddlers from guns and so they wanted people with guns to safely store them," said Clinton.

Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt was stunned by that answer.

The United States Of Refugees

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 03:30 AM PDT

Consider the state of Nebraska. What comes to mind?

Common associations with the Cornhusker state include: row crops, silos, college football, Warren Buffet, and wholesome, earnest Americana.

Now try this one: Refugee Capital of the United States.

So far this year, the City of Omaha has settled over 900 people fleeing war, persecution, and disaster around the world. That may be a small figure relative to the estimated 21.3 million refugees worldwide (or relative to the population of Omaha, for that matter, which is roughly 434,000). But it's still higher than the number of refugees resettled in Los Angeles and New York City combined.

That disproportionate hospitality extends across the entire state, where over 1,300 refugees have found new homes this year. That may not be much compared to the resettlement statistics in larger states, like California, Texas, and New York. But given Nebraska's population of fewer than 2 million, on a per person basis, this makes the state the most welcoming of refugees in the nation. For every 100,000 residents, Nebraska resettled roughly 71 refugees in 2016. By the same measure, California welcomed fewer than 18.

If these figures don't jibe with your understanding of where refugees live in the United States, that might be because you've been following this year's presidential election. When Donald Trump claims that we "have no documentation" about the "Trojan horse" refugees who live in this country, and when Republican governors across the country insist that they will not abide Syrian refugees resettling within their borders, they not only raise suspicions about some of the world's most vulnerable people, they fundamentally mischaracterize what may be the most complex human relocation system on the planet.

Widespread cyberattack takes down sites worldwide

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 03:12 AM PDT

A number of popular websites like Twitter and Netflix went down for some users on Friday in a massive cyberattack with international reach.

Affected sites included Twitter (TWTR, Tech30), Etsy (ETSY), Github, Vox, Spotify, Airbnb, Netflix(NFLX, Tech30) and Reddit.

Dyn, which manages website domains and routes internet traffic, experienced two distributed denial of service attacks on its DNS servers. A DDoS attack is an attempt to flood a website with so much traffic that it impairs normal service.

"If you take out one of these DNS service providers, you can disrupt a large number of popular online services, which is exactly what we're seeing today," said Jeremiah Grossman, chief of security strategy at cybersecurity startup SentinelOne.

The massive outage drew the attention of the FBI which said Friday that it was "investigating all potential causes" of the attack.

Earlier Friday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said the Department of Homeland Security was "monitoring" it.

VA extends deadline for seeking Gulf War illness benefits to 2021

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 03:00 AM PDT

WASHINGTON – For the next five years, veterans will have an easier time seeking benefits for illnesses linked to service in the Gulf War because of an extension issued Monday by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Since 1994, the VA has automatically presumed a connection from Gulf War service, which included a toxic environment of oil fires and chemical weapons, to an increased risk for several illnesses. The connection enables veterans to receive a disability rating and benefits more quickly.

But the presumed connection and the ability to seek benefits was set to expire at the end of this year, after being extended four times previously. Effective Monday, the VA extended it a fifth time, to Dec. 31, 2021.

"This end date creates such an anxiety among the Gulf War veterans that gets so high as that deadline approaches," said James Bunker, the executive director of the National Gulf War Resource Center in Topeka, Kansas. "[Secretary Bob] McDonald promised us the beginning of this year that this extension would happen."

Hurricane Matthew unearths huge prehistoric shark tooth

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 02:00 AM PDT

Hurricane Matthew unearthed an exciting artifact for one Virginia couple. Nat Campbell and his wife Peggy were on vacation at North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina and stumbled across a prehistoric shark tooth.

"We had been there maybe 15 minutes, standing in ankle deep water and all of a sudden I looked to my left and within two feet I saw this shark's tooth, which I thought it was a shark's tooth but I've never seen anything that large," Campbell said. "My wife though it was a rock. And I reached over and picked it up and I saw the serrated edges so I knew then that it was a big shark's tooth, but I had no idea it was a Megalodon."

Campbell and his wife took the tooth to Ripley's Aquarium in South Carolina and spoke with Brady Stoever, an aquarist who told them it was no ordinary tooth; it was likely "millions of years old." Turns out, it came from what used to be the world's largest shark.

General's guilty plea in leak probe fuels double-standard claims by Clinton critics

Posted: 22 Oct 2016 01:00 AM PDT

The Justice Department is facing new allegations of a double-standard in the wake of a retired four-star general pleading guilty to misleading FBI investigators in a leak probe -- after the bureau opted not to pursue charges against Hillary Clinton over her email controversy.

The cases are not related, though both pertain to the handling of classified information. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump invoked the plea entered by retired Gen. James Cartwright during Wednesday night's debate to suggest Clinton enjoyed different treatment.

"We have a great general, four-star general, today you read it in all of the papers, going to potentially serve five years in jail for lying to the FBI. One lie. She's lied hundreds of times to the people, to Congress, and to the FBI. He's going to probably go to jail. This is a four-star general," Trump said.

Rising voter fraud concerns in Texas prompt $5,000 tip hotline

As more and more Texans turn to mail-in ballots to cast their votes in presidential elections, concerns continue to grow over how secure the process is.

The ballots — geared to make it possible for overseas residents, people in the military and senior citizens to make their vote count — are now at the heart of a growing controversy about voter fraud, even prompting an "integrity tip hotline," because they allow people to vote from their homes without any ID or verification of identity.

State officials have been in Tarrant County investigating an issue with mail-in ballots from this year's primary election, but some say the problem with these ballots goes deeper than that. At issue are concerns about "vote harvesting," in which people fill out and return other people's ballots.

3rd Debate - Smooth – smiling Hillary appeared paranoid – arrogant – conspiratoria

Posted: 21 Oct 2016 10:00 PM PDT

In the third debate - smiling and smooth Hillary's corruption, false attacks, misleading statements and now Russian paranoia where revealed in Technicolor

Trump soared, stayed mostly on focus, responded to Hillary's endless low ball attacks with gut punches that worked again and again.

Trump shared lots of details regarding his vision for health care, the economy, and jobs, dealing with the Middle East and ISIS, the Supreme Court, 2nd amendment, right to life, on and on. Fox moderator Chris Wallace asked the loaded questions that truly painted Trump and Hillary worlds apart. If anyone was confused as to where both candidates stood before last night, they shouldn't be now.

I was thrilled that Trump and Wallace brought up various forms of Hillary corruption, the WIKI leaks, emails, her corrupt foundation, letting the people of Haiti down and statements revealed in speech transcripts Hillary had given for big bucks, where she wanted and planned for open borders and open trade.
