WATCH: Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee confuses Wikipedia with WikiLeaks

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, denounced the wrong website on Friday for releasing thousands of hacked emails from Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta.

"You know that I'm going to first of all denounce the utilization of this intrusion by Wikipedia through the Russian intrusion," Jackson Lee said in an interview with MSNBC on Friday. "This is what it's about. Espionage just like what was said over these last couple of days. We need to be concerned about the intrusion of Russia and Putin in these elections."

Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia and was not behind the release of the Podesta emails. WikiLeaks, founded by Julian Assange, was the outlet Jackson Lee was likely referring to.

Vehicle Pursuit/ Armed Robbery Suspect Captured- North East Barrack

On 10/27/2016 at approximately 1522 hours, a broadcast was given for a green BMW bearing Pennsylvania Registration JYZ3337 driving S/B on Rt. 272 approaching Rt. 40 that was wanted for an armed robbery which occurred earlier in Newark, Delaware. The suspect allegedly robbed a Game Stop displaying a silver revolver, leaving the store with a large quantity of cash.

Troopers from the North East Barrack immediately responded to the area of Rt. 272 and Rt. 40. The vehicle was located within seconds and refused to obey troopers directions who were in marked patrol vehicles utilizing their emergency equipment.
A vehicle pursuit thus was initiated which headed W/B on U.S. Rt. 40. The vehicle made an abrupt turn into the woods on U.S. Rt. 40 just prior to Coudon Blvd, in what appeared to be a wooded lane; however, this was a dead end. The suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Police Personnel quickly set up a perimeter to contain the suspect. Within minutes the suspect/ sole occupant of the vehicle was located and arrested. He was identified as Elivs Aaron Anderson, 41 years of age from RoseDale, Maryland. A check on the vehicle identification number revealed that it was stolen from Baltimore City, and the tags were stolen from Delaware. A search of the suspect revealed a large quantity of cash.

Anderson has been charged with possession of stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, reckless driving, fleeing and eluding, and other traffic charges in Maryland. A warrant is currently being applied for Anderson in Delaware for the armed robbery and other crimes committed in that State.

Investigation is on going. It should be noted that Cecil County Deputies, Perryville Police, and Maryland Transportation Authority Police assisted with this incident.

'Rigged' Debates? Questions Arise Again Over Lighted Screen At Hillary's Podium

After the first debate, numerous videos surfaced alleging that Hillary was using some sort of teleprompter built into her podium to assist with answering questions or to offset whatever medical condition she's dealing with. The videos were largely dismissed as "cooky alt-right conspiracy theories" and didn't get much attention outside of those spheres.

But, when similar abnormalities surfaced on Hillary's podium in the third debate, combined with the fact that she spent an awkward amount of time during her answers peering down rather than at the camera, we grew a bit more curious.

With that said, here is a video analyzing the abnormalities from debate 1. Notice that around 18 seconds into this video one can very clearly see a light shut off on Hillary's podium even though there is no such light at Trump's podium.

1 in 4 U.S. teachers are chronically absent, missing more than 10 days of school

More than 1 in 4 of the nation's full-time teachers are considered chronically absent from school, according to federal data, missing the equivalent of more than two weeks of classes each academic year in what some districts say has become an educational crisis.

The U.S. Education Department's Office for Civil Rights estimated this summer that 27 percent of the nation's teachers are out of school for more than 10 days of regular classes — some missing far more than 10 days — based on self-reported numbers from the nation's school districts. But some school systems, especially those in poor, rural areas and in some major cities, saw chronic absenteeism among teachers rise above 75 percent in 2014, the last year for which data is available.

In the Alamance-Burlington School System, located between Greensboro and Chapel Hill, N.C., 80 percent of its 1,500 teachers missed more than 10 days of school in the 2013-2014 school year. Cleveland reported that about 84 percent of its 2,700 teachers had excessive absences. Nevada's Clark County School District, which includes Las Vegas, reported that more than half of its 17,000 teachers were chronically absent — missing a total of at least 85,000 work days, or the equivalent number of hours that nearly 500 teachers would work during an entire 180-day school year.

WSJ: Terry McAuliffe Sent Big Bucks to Wife of FBI Official Involved in Clinton Email Case

A report says that Terry McAuliffe gave over half a million dollars in campaign cash and material support to the wife of an FBI official who was involved in the investigation of Hillary Clinton's unsecured, homebrew email server from which she conducted all her business as Secretary of State — including the sharing of classified information.

The political organization of Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, an influential Democrat with longstanding ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton, gave nearly $500,000 to the election campaign of the wife of an official at the Federal Bureau of Investigation who later helped oversee the investigation into Mrs. Clinton's email use.

Campaign finance records show Mr. McAuliffe's political-action committee donated $467,500 to the 2015 state Senate campaign of Dr. Jill McCabe, who is married to Andrew McCabe, now the deputy director of the FBI.

Thousands of rape kits go untested in Maryland

Despite a years-long, national push to collect, process and catalog DNA evidence from sexual assaults, police in Maryland have left more than 3,500 rape kits untested.

Advocates for rape victims say that number shows that police are not investigating all complaints of sexual assault thoroughly.

"More than any other crime, sexual assault survivors are often disbelieved or blamed for what happened to them," said Ilse Knecht, director of policy and advocacy for the Joyful Heart Foundation, a national nonprofit that advocates for counting and testing all kits. "That definitely plays into this process of not fully investigating cases. There sometimes is a bias that comes in that kind of shuts that door too quickly, and those cases are just put on a shelf."

BREAKING: All Seven Defendants Found Not Guilty In Refuge Occupation Trial

Ammon and Ryan Bundy have been found not guilty of conspiracy. Their five co-defendants Jeff Banta, Shawna Cox, David Fry, Kenneth Medenbach and Neil Wampler have all been found not guilty as well.

Jurors were unable to reach a verdict on Ryan Bundy's theft of government property charge.

The jury returned its verdict after some six weeks of testimony followed by less than six hours deliberations, and the last minute replacement of a juror after an allegation surfaced that he was biased.

The jury was instructed to disregard their previous work and to re-consider the evidence.

Taxpayer Tab For Obama Trip That Included Golf With Tiger Woods: $3.6 Million

Taxpayers shelled out millions of dollars in 2013 when the golf-addicted President Obama took Air Force One to Florida on vacation and played a round of golf with Tiger Woods, according to a new government study.

From Feb. 15-18 in 2013, the president went on a four day trip that included an official speech in Chicago and some leisure time in Palm Beach, Florida.

According to a forthcoming report by the Government Accountability Office that was obtained early by The Daily Caller, the government spent a total of $3.6 million to fly, protect and support the president during this trip to Illinois and Florida.

The GAO report was requested by Sen. John Barrasso, a Republican senator from Wyoming. The letter was sent during the political debates of 2013 over the automatic spending cuts to government services, known as sequestration.

When Mitchel Craddock headed down to the woods of Tennessee for his bachelor party, he had no idea a dog would steal his heart.

"The first morning we were there, we had the front door wide open and we're cooking bacon and we look over the front door to the cabin we're staying in, there is a dog sitting there, sweet as can be but would not come inside," he said.

In 2017, IRS Says Some Tax Benefits Increase Slightly Due to Inflation, Others Remain Unchanged

ANNAPOLIS, Md.  The Internal Revenue Service has announced the tax year 2017 annual inflation adjustments for more than 50 tax provisions, including the tax rate schedules, and other tax changes. Revenue Procedure 2016-55 provides details about the annual adjustments. The tax year 2017 adjustments generally are used on tax returns filed in 2018. The tax items for tax year 2017 of greatest interest to most taxpayers include the following dollar amounts:

• The standard deduction for married filing jointly rises to $12,700 for tax year 2017, up $100 from the prior year. For single taxpayers and married individuals filing separately, the standard deduction rises to $6,350 in 2017, up from $6,300 in 2016. For heads of households, the standard deduction will be $9,350 for tax year 2017, up from $9,300 for tax year 2016.

• The personal exemption for tax year 2017 remains as it was for 2016: $4,050. However, the exemption is subject to a phase-out that begins with adjusted gross incomes of $261,500 ($313,800 for married couples filing jointly). It phases out completely at $384,000 ($436,300 for married couples filing jointly.)

• For tax year 2017, the 39.6 percent tax rate affects single taxpayers whose income exceeds $418,400 ($470,700 for married taxpayers filing jointly), up from $415,050 and $466,950, respectively. The other marginal rates – 10, 15, 25, 28, 33 and 35 percent – and the related income tax thresholds for tax year 2017 are described in the revenue procedure.

• The limitation for itemized deductions to be claimed on tax year 2017 returns of individuals begins with incomes of $287,650 or more ($313,800 for married couples filing jointly).

• The Alternative Minimum Tax exemption amount for tax year 2017 is $54,300 and begins to phase out at $120,700 ($84,500, for married couples filing jointly for whom the exemption begins to phase out at $160,900). The 2016 exemption amount was $53,900 ($83,800 for married couples filing jointly). For tax year 2017, the 28 percent tax rate applies to taxpayers with taxable incomes above $187,800 ($93,900 for married individuals filing separately).

• The tax year 2017 maximum Earned Income Credit amount is $6,318 for taxpayers filing jointly who have three or more qualifying children, up from a total of $6,269 for tax year 2016. The revenue procedure has a table providing maximum credit amounts for other categories, income thresholds and phase-outs.

• For tax year 2017, the monthly limitation for the qualified transportation fringe benefit is $255, as is the monthly limitation for qualified parking.

• For calendar year 2017, the dollar amount used to determine the penalty for not maintaining minimum essential health coverage is $695.

• For tax year 2017 participants who have self-only coverage in a Medical Savings Account, the plan must have an annual deductible that is not less than $2,250 but not more than $3,350; these amounts remain unchanged from 2016. For self-only coverage, the maximum out of pocket expense amount is $4,500, up $50 from 2016. For tax year 2017, participants with family coverage, the floor for the annual deductible is $4,500, up from $4,450 in 2016; however, the deductible cannot be more than $6,750, up $50 from the limit for tax year 2016. For family coverage, the out-of-pocket expense limit is $8,250 for tax year 2017, an increase of $100 from tax year 2016.

• For tax year 2017, the adjusted gross income amount used by joint filers to determine the reduction in the Lifetime Learning Credit is $112,000, up from $111,000 for tax year 2016.

• For tax year 2017, the foreign earned income exclusion is $102,100, up from $101,300 for tax year 2016.

• Estates of decedents who die during 2017 have a basic exclusion amount of $5,490,000, up from a total of $5,450,000 for estates of decedents who died in 2016.

Unaccountable power multiplies, but this is astounding. This is a very good example of the reasons that the founders sought to limit and check power. But of course, over the years, those protections have been whittled down, and the loopholes are big enough drive tanks through. Corruption doesn't even begin to cover it if wealthy donors – and even foreign powers – can just write checks, contribute to the Clinton Foundation, etc. – and just buy a law in return.

Why is no one standing up to this tyranny? Critics have taken George W. Bush and Barack Obama to task for abusing their power to write executive orders – and legislate with a pen when they have no constitutional power to make law at all. But Hillary, before she even takes power, is already leaving these two in the dust. So everyone is just going to take it, along with the 'first female' t-shirts they will be sending out as promos in the mail?

As MLK famously wrote from his Birmingham jail cell: "At first glance it may seem rather paradoxical for us consciously to break laws. One may well ask: "How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?" The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that "an unjust law is no law at all.

Berlin Coffee House closing as owner decides to retire

After seven years of running what was, for many in Berlin, the coffee shop where "everybody knows your name," 68-year-old Peggy Hagy is retiring at the end of this year.

When it opened in 2009, the Berlin Coffee House on 17 Jefferson Street filled a major void in a town that had yet to be properly caffeinated.

Hagy, who operated the shop with her son, Jason, aimed to remedy that. A Baltimore native, Hagy and her family moved to the area in the early 1980's. At the time, she was working as a graphic arts director.

Her road to becoming a respected barista and businesswoman was nontraditional, to say the least.

"When Gannett was buying up all the papers in town, I was working for The Independent and I thought, 'this is getting nuts,'" she said. "So I quit. And I ended up working for Kate Patton when she had the Globe in 2000. I'd never done food service and it was a ton of fun – I totally enjoyed myself."

A man claiming to be Bill and Hillary Clinton's "fixer" – hired to cover up their "dirtiest schemes," including steamy sex romps and a major scandal involving former deputy White House counsel Vince Foster – says the Clintons have an open marriage, patronize hookers, buy off news reporters and coordinated a scheme to destroy White House intern Monica Lewinsky after her affair with the president.

The "fixer," novelist Jeff Rovin, provided ledgers and faxed documents with time stamps to document some of his claims.

"I was fixing something for an actor who was in their inner circle," Rovin explained to Fox News' Sean Hannity Monday evening. "That's how I was engaged."

He appeared to suggest Hillary has quite the temper, as WND has reported.

Rovin, who spoke to Hillary twice, said she has a "steeliness" about wanting things fixed.

"You have to understand, every time I saw Hillary, I was bringing bad news," Rovin told Hannity. "The messenger got shot."

Secret Service Honors Mikulski For Years Of Service

The U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security awarded a special medal to U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski.

The ceremony was held in Wednesday at the Secret Service training facility in Beltsville. The honor was the latest for Mikulski, a Baltimore Democrat, who is set to retire next year after 30 years in the Senate.

"Today we present to Senator Barbara Mikulski our distinguished public service medal which is the highest award I can give to any civilian," U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said.

During the ceremony, Johnson said he was recognizing Mikulski for her service to Congress and support of the Department of Homeland Security.

Report: Texas Voters Say Voting Machines Picked Clinton/Kaine with Straight Republican Ballot

Several voters in Texas have said on social media that when they voted early, their voting machine registered a "Straight Republican" selection but marked Hillary Clinton as their choice for president.

Early voting for the 2016 election started today (Monday, October 24th). The people of Potter and Randall County are taking this opportunity to skip the long lines that always file out of the voting locations on Election Day.

It's common to see pictures of the "I Voted!" stickers on social media. It's not as common to see the stories I've been seeing today.

Two voters from Canyon posted the experience they had while voting. Apparently, when these voters chose the straight Republican option, the ballot selected Clinton/Kaine instead of Trump/Pence.

Volunteer coach pleads guilty to sex offense with girl, 15

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) — A former volunteer high-school track coach won't serve any jail time for having sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl.

Twenty-two-year-old Allen Kifer Jr. was granted probation before judgment Tuesday after pleading guilty to fourth-degree sex offense involving a member of the team at Fort Hill High School in Cumberland.

Kifer can apply to have the conviction expunged if he successfully completes 12 months of unsupervised probation.

Detectives Make Arrests in Southern Sussex County for Burglaries and Thefts

Selbyville - Delaware State Police Detectives have arrested four people involved in burglaries and thefts that have been occurring over the last two months.

In the first investigation, William J. Tingle II, 28 of Ocean View, was arrested on Thursday October 6, 2016 after he was found to be in possession of crack cocaine during a traffic stop near Laurel. A computer inquiry revealed he was wanted out of Worcester County, Maryland for several burglaries. At that time, Tingle was charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned at JP2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI) on $3,000.00 cash bond. The vehicle Tingle was driving was towed back to Troop 4 in Georgetown where a search warrant was obtained and upon searching the car, pieces of a birth certificate were located. When the certificate was reassembled, it was determined to be a document that was inside a safe that was stolen from a burglary in the 30000 block of Bunting Road, Frankford just two days prior.

Detectives continued to follow-up on thefts from vehicles and other burglaries in the Selbyville and Frankford areas and were able to link Tingle to 17 other complaints. He was additionally charged with three counts of Burglary 2nd, twelve counts of Theft Under $1500 Where the Victim is 62 or Older, eight counts of Theft Under $1500, Criminal Mischief, and fifteen counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd. He was arraigned at JP2 and remains committed to SCI on an additional $27,100.00 secured bond.

In a second and separate investigation, Thomas G. McCoy, 29, and Amy N. Biddinger, 25, both of Ocean View, were taken into custody without incident on Wednesday October 19, 2016, after they were stopped by troopers for operating a stolen motor vehicle. It was determined through this investigation that the vehicle had been stolen the previous day from Hockers Grocery & Deli located at 34960 Atlantic Avenue, Millville, when a female customer parked her vehicle in a parking spot with the key still in the ignition. McCoy was standing outside the store and can be seen through surveillance video entering the car and driving off.

Detectives were also able to link McCoy to another motor vehicle theft that occurred on Monday October 17, 2016, when a male victim reported his pick up truck stolen from the Rite Aid located at 219 Atlantic Avenue, Millville. In this case, the victim left his keys on the seat and entered the store for a quick errand. When he returned, the vehicle was seen driving out of the parking lot onto Old Mill Road. That vehicle was recovered the following day in the area of Burbage Road and Jones Road, Frankford, undamaged, although, the victim's cell phone was missing.

McCoy and Biddinger were also connected to a burglary that was committed on Friday September 9, 2016 in the 30000 block of White Tail Drive, Selbyville, when McCoy was seen inside the residence by the homeowner before he fled with an electronic gaming device and cash.

Thomas McCoy was charged with Burglary 2nd, Conspiracy 2nd, three counts of Theft Under $1500, two counts of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Selling Stolen Property, and two counts of Driving Without a Valid License. He was arraigned at JP2 and committed to SCI in lieu of $15,502.00 secured bond.

Amy Biddinger was charged with Burglary 2nd, Conspiracy 2nd, Theft Under $1500, and Selling Stolen Property. She was arraigned and released after posting $4,000.00 secured bond.

During a third investigation, Donald W. Elliott, 37 of Dagsboro, was arrested on Friday September 30, 2016 after detectives were able to place him at numerous burglaries to residences in the Dagsboro, Frankford, and Ocean View areas. Through witness interviews and victim's accounts, the vehicle in which Elliott was driving was identified and located when he was arrested. In most of these cases, Elliott would go to the residences forcefully enter through doors or windows. Once inside he would remove prescription or over-the-counter medication along with loose change.

Donald Elliott was charged with twelve counts of Burglary 2nd, three counts of Possession of Burglary Tools, Attempted Theft Under $1500 Where the Victim is 62 or Older, two counts of Acquiring Prescription Medication Without a Prescription, two counts of Theft Under $1500, seven counts of Attempted Theft Under $1500, and six counts of Criminal Mischief. He was arraigned at JP2 and committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $44,900.00 secured bond.

DSCC Forced To Pull Toomey Attack Ad Over False Information

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee was forced to pull an ad attacking GOP Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey Monday for containing blatantly false information after a cease and desist letter was sent to television stations across the state Friday.

The ad alleged Toomey owned a bank that was guilty of predatory lending practices. The claim turned out to be inherently false, with Toomey just holding stock in the establishment.

The 30-second spot went on to accuse him of forcing 21 small-business owners out of their homes and using his time in public office to implement policies for his own personal gain.

In the letter sent by the Friends of Pat Toomey committee, the group slammed the DSCC for defaming the senator, stating stations that air the ad would be "violating public trust."

Chambers County election officials have executed an emergency protocol to remove all electronic voting machines available during early voting until a software update can be completed to correct problems experienced by straight-ticket voters.

Chambers County Clerk Heather Hawthorne told Breitbart Texas Tuesday morning that all electronic voting was temporarily halted until her office completes a "software update" on ES&S machines that otherwise "omit one race" when a straight ticket option is selected for either major party. The Texas 14th Court of Appeals race was reported to be the contest in which voters commonly experienced the glitch.

Hawthorne explained that she expects the technical difficulties to be completely addressed by end of business Tuesday. In the interim, regular paper ballots will be used. The county clerk told Breitbart Texas that before the machines were pulled, poll workers were instructed to alert voters to the glitch and double-check their selections.

Chambers County sits east of Texas' largest county, Harris, and serves roughly 26,000 registered voters. Hawthorne noted that since polls opened on Monday, only one voter did not have proper photo identification and was required to complete an affidavit to cast a regular ballot. Breitbart Texas recently reported a similar trend in neighboring Harris County where less than 10 out of more than 67,000 ballots cast lacked ID.

Three Maryland public safety officials leave jobs following misconduct investigation

Three high-level officials in the Maryland department that runs the state prison system, including its top intelligence officer, have been removed from office after being investigated for alleged misconduct.

The three officials in the office of Secretary Stephen T. Moyer were removed from the state payroll Tuesday, said Gerard Shields, a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

Shields said the officials were investigated after separate allegations of misconduct surfaced. He said state personnel law prevented him from providing details, including the reason for their departures.

He said their departures were not related to the indictments of 80 people this month in an alleged smuggling ring at the Eastern Correctional Institute in Somerset County.

In 2012 the Obama Administration granted temporary legal status to close to 750,000 illegal immigrants under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.Now they are going door-to-door campaigning on behalf of Hillary Clinton and other Democrats.
The Washington Post followed the campaign activities in Norther Virginia, a crucial purple region that could very well determine the outcome in Virginia and, possibly the national electoral college results:

"All DACA recipients should take this on as an added responsibility, to change the power structure," said Luis Angel Aguilar, 28, who received his protected status in 2013 and is helping to coordinate the effort. "Our voices need to be heard," he said.
Four years after the DACA program was launched, many of the beneficiaries are still in a kind of limbo, unsure about whether their status would be renewed under a President Trump and concerned that their family members could be deported.
The uncertainty was underscored earlier this year when the U.S. Supreme Court let stand a federal court injunction against an expanded version of DACA and Obama's Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents program, which could benefit an additional 4 million people.
"The only way to resolve this is through the election," said Kim Propeack, political director of CASA In Action. "There's been a recent uptick of despair and energy around that 4-4 vote."

OCEAN CITY — With Ocean City's municipal election now under two weeks away, the local firefighter and paramedic union's effort to get a referendum question seeking binding interest arbitration on this year's ballot has fallen short, but the signature collection process will continue.

In late February, the clock expired on negotiations between the town and the Career Firefighter Paramedics Association of Ocean City, or IAFF Local 4269, on a new three-year contract, resulting in the town's "last, best and final" offer essentially becoming the new contract by default. The contract negotiations broke down in late February over the town's unwavering position on eliminating the paramedics' long-standing 24-hour shifts, which was considered a deal-breaker for the IAFF 4269.

Currently, most Ocean City paramedics work in 24-hour shifts, followed by 72 hours off. However, citing a variety of reasons, including potential missed calls, delayed responses and national trends, the town has remained adamant about phasing out the 24-72 shift rotation in favor of an alternative 12-hour shift or some hybrid of the two. While just one element of the contract between the IAFF and the town, the impasse over eliminating the 24-72 shift rotation became a point of contention for the union, forcing it to walk away from the bargaining table.

Police arrested four juveniles after a flash of mob-style of attacks Friday night left approximately six college students and a university police officer injured.

Groups of young teens ranging from 20 to 100, walked Temple University's campus, pouncing on people at random, reports NBC Philadelphia.

• She commits to flooding the nation with illegal immigrants and Middle Eastern refugees, and providing legal status and a fast track to citizenship, which will change our demographics, politics and culture permanently.
• She has committed to a huge increase in taxes on everyone who pays taxes, including a "middle class" tax increase, which will make America even less competitive.
• Her promises of massive new government programs will further skyrocket the national debt, bringing us closer to financial collapse.
• As Obamacare is failing, her solution is a public option, leading to fully socialized medicine; and she proposes further undermining the unsustainable program by covering illegal aliens.

The talking points were crafted by Clinton spokeswoman Adrienne Elrod and were meant to help Clinton allies respond to a pair of stories that came out on September 22, 2015.

One story was written by Bloomberg and was titled, "FBI Said to Recover Personal E-Mails From Hillary Clinton Server." The other story came from the Washington Post and was titled,"State Department's account of email request differs from Clinton's."

The talking points were distributed two days after the stories broke.

U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Democrat Hillary Clinton's plan for Syria would "lead to World War Three," because of the potential for conflict with military forces from nuclear-armed Russia.

On Syria's civil war, Trump said Clinton could drag the United States into a world war with a more aggressive posture toward resolving the conflict.

Clinton has called for the establishment of a no-fly zone and "safe zones" on the ground to protect non-combatants. Some analysts fear that protecting those zones could bring the United bring into direct conflict with Russian fighter jets.

"What we should do is focus on ISIS. We should not be focusing on Syria," said Trump as he dined on fried eggs and sausage at his Trump National Doral golf resort. "You're going to end up in World War Three over Syria if we listen to Hillary Clinton," Trump said.

"You're not fighting Syria any more, you're fighting Syria, Russia and Iran, all right? Russia is a nuclear country, but a country where the nukes work as opposed to other countries that talk," he said.

Trump said Assad is much stronger now than he was three years ago. He said getting Assad to leave power was less important than defeating Islamic State.

"Assad is secondary, to me, to ISIS," he said.

Vacant building registry working

The most recent evidence of the effectiveness of the vacant building ordinance the Town of Snow Hill passed in July, can be seen in the identification of at least 63 structures, some of which have been registered or are awaiting response from their owners, according to Town Manager Kelly Pruitt.

Letters were sent to the property owners in mid-July, Pruitt said, giving the recipients 30 days to register or provide the town with a plan for the property.

"We were happy to have 37 people respond and were able to identify 15 properties as occupied or under construction, such as the downtown storefronts," Pruitt said. "There were 26 properties where we did not receive a response."

The process is underway to contact those remaining owners and give them final notice to comply with the new rule.

"Considering that this is a newly adopted ordinance, we have been trying to be patient with the process but will now take a stronger approach with enforcement," she said. "Unfortunately, if they do not respond to the second notice, we will have to proceed with assessing fines."

The 'Real' Reasons People Will Vote For Trump

Someone close to me, who is voting for Hillary, sent me this article recently, thinking it did a great job of characterizing Trump voters as real people. And I was so mortified and incensed reading it, that I felt it necessary to respond with my own thoughts on this election, and who I will be voting for.

The article is a perfect example of virtue signaling as it relates to this election. Nowhere in the article does John Biggs, the author, indicate that he has actually spoken with any Trump voter who actually has anything positive to say about Trump himself or his proposed policies. Instead, the quotes are merely meant to symbolize angry conservatives who are voting against Hillary moreso than they are voting for Trump. It seems this Ohio native turned Brooklyn hipster has taken but one glance at the odds and surmised that since he believes Hillary is going to win, and since he has such a large following, it is his duty to begin reaching out to Trump voters to bridge the partisan divide. It seems as if he wants to unite everyone under a nation of corruption and crime for the leaders, but not for the general population. Seeing as how I regularly communicate with Trump voters, I felt it my duty to respond, and will preserve the anonymity of my contributors by speaking through my own voice.

However, it is important to give some background on myself, my voting record, and who I will be voting for. Since I have been eligible to vote, I have voted for the Libertarian candidate for President. I am firmly convinced that the differences between the two parties are merely superficial, as they are both committed to deficit spending, endless wars, welfare handouts, and corporate bailouts/kickbacks, which are the real issues plaguing the country today. Most recently, in 2012, I voted for Gary Johnson, as I was very impressed with his campaign and platform. Hillary Clinton repeatedly has said she's not here "to take your guns away," but her campaign platform would go a long way toward stopping Americans from being able to buy some of the most popular firearms on the market.

The former first lady is walking a fine line on guns as she tries to peel away independents and some Republicans from Donald Trump while also painting herself as a gun control champion. On the campaign trail Mrs. Clinton frequently calls for new gun safety measures as she reassures law-abiding Americans their firearms won't be targeted under her would-be administration.

On several fronts, however, it's clear a Clinton administration would result in much tougher gun laws, including some that would affect Americans with no criminal records. And critics such as Mr. Trump and powerful gun rights groups fear Mrs. Clinton would reshape the Supreme Court by appointing justices much more hostile to Second Amendment freedoms.

While many Democrats long have been labeled as anti-gun, firearms advocates say Mrs. Clinton's position is especially disingenuous.

"This is an outright and outrageous lie that [Mrs. Clinton] doesn't want to take people's guns," said Dudley Brown, president of the National Association for Gun Rights. "Hillary Clinton has made a career of restricting citizens' Second Amendment rights and trying to ban, outright ban, entire classes of firearms. And if that's not taking guns then I don't know what is. All you have to do is pay a little bit of attention."

Trump cuts off fundraising events for Republican Party

Donald Trump's campaign has ended fundraising events meant to support the Republican Party's get-out-the-vote efforts in next month's elections.

Aides to the Republican nominee told Fox News that Trump Victory, the joint fundraising committee for the GOP and the campaign, held its most recent fundraiser on Oct. 19 and no more such events were scheduled.

The move, which was first reported by The Washington Post, cuts off a key money source for Republicans hoping to keep hold of both houses of Congress.

"We've kind of wound down," Trump national finance chairman Steven Mnuchin told the Post. "But the online fundraising continues to be strong."

By contrast, the Post reported that Democrat Hillary Clinton's campaign has scheduled 41 fundraising events between now and Nov. 4. The former secretary of state was scheduled to make her last personal fundraising appearance Tuesday in Miami.

Mnuchin told the paper that the real estate mogul was focusing on making his final pitch to the voters at a campaign events rather than raising money in the final two weeks of the race.

Election officials dismiss concerns

Following our story yesterday, there have been more reports of early voters in Texas seeing their ballots flipped from Donald Trump to Hillary Clinton.

Voters in Arlington and Amarillo complained that when they highlighted the box to select Trump/Pence, it switched to Clinton/Kaine.

Now numerous other Texans have gone public on social media to report similar problems.

However, election officials in Texas are denying that there is a problem.

"Typically, we've found it's voter error with the equipment," Frank Phillips, Tarrant County's election administrator, told WFAA. "Sometimes they vote straight party and then click on other candidates … or do something with the wheel….There is not an issue with the equipment."

Now only the election remains. In the two weeks that are left, we'll hear more from WikiLeaks, in spite of U.S. government pressure to shut it down in order to protect Hillary. And Trump will release a few more policy ideas, like his welcome plan to reign in K Street lobbyists. But we're in end game and we can begin to make out the outlines of the election, and beyond that to the kind of government we'll see in the future.

I don't know who will win, but let's say it's Hillary. In that case we'll have elected the head of America's natural governing party. We'll have chosen our leaders not only for the next four years but for the rest of our lives. It won't matter if from time to time the Republicans hold one branch of Congress, given the way in which Obama has shown how a Democratic president can rule as an autocrat.

And why will the Democrats keep the White House? Because the Republican Party of the NeverTrumpers, the party of a narrow right-wing ideology, will have died. It had a good run for 160 years but everything has to come to an end, and the GOP is no exception. But it's not Hillary that will have killed it, nor Trump either. Instead, its last gasp was the Romney debacle of 2012.

Detroit suburb votes to reject Syrian refugee resettlement

Local leaders in a Detroit suburb unanimously voted Monday to refuse to participate in a Syrian refugee resettlement program until the federal government institutes significant immigration policy changes.

The resolution approved by the Waterford Charter Township board referred to the congressional testimony of federal authorities that claim "that refugees from failed states such as Syria cannot be adequately vetted to ensure that they do not have terrorist ties because the necessary records do not exist" and argued that current policy significantly burdens local communities.

"The Charter Township of Waterford will not actively participate in the Refugee Resettlement Program until the program has been significantly reformed, and until it has been demonstrated that the Townships of Oakland County have the capacity to absorb refugees without diverting funds from needy residents or exposing their residents to unwarranted security risks," reads the document.

Board members stressed they don't view the resolution as a ban or as motivated by prejudice, reported the Detroit News.

Easton Man Charged With 10 Counts of Possession Of Child Pornography

Easton, Talbot County, Maryland. - Investigators with the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, Upper Shore Region, with the assistance of MSP road patrol Troopers, have charged 26 year old Donald Fuller of Easton, MD with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

The investigation started when ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) investigators noticed a subject downloading known videos of child pornography via a peer-to-peer network. Investigators were able to determine what residence had downloaded the child pornography and a search and seizure warrant was executed on the residence. Investigators seized numerous electronics and a forensic examination was completed showing numerous images/videos of child pornography. Investigators were able to determine Donald Fuller was the suspect involved and admitted to doing so during an interview. Fuller was taken before a Talbot County Commissioner who released him pending trial. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

The Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, Upper Shore Region, is comprised of investigators assigned to the region. The region consists of Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Caroline and Dorchester Counties. Troopers assigned to the unit investigate the most serious and/or time consuming crimes while also providing investigative support to allied agencies in and throughout this area.

CED Upper Shore is a member of the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC). The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program (ICAC) helps state and local law enforcement agencies develop an effective response to technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and Internet crimes against children. WOFFORD HEIGHTS, Calif. — Angel Gilberto Garcia-Avalos had been deported five times in just the past four years, yet each time he has managed to sneak from Mexico back into the U.S., where he ended up in more mischief: driving without a license, attempted burglary and felony weapons charges.

In August, he graduated to full-fledged mayhem, sparking a fire in the Sequoia National Forest that has already cost the government $61 million and left some of the country's most beautiful landscape scarred for years to come.

Garcia, who pleaded guilty last month and faces 13 months in prison, had only recently been released from the Kern County Jail. He likely would have been deported again, but local authorities were unable to report him to immigration authorities because of California's new sanctuary city law, which prohibited the sheriff from communicating with federal agents.

Federal agents now say they will kick Garcia out of the country once he serves his latest sentence, but the damage has already been done.

Clinton aides planned to make a joke about President Barack Obama being from Kenya in a fictional e-mail thread they wanted to use as part of a strategy to handle Hillary Clinton's email scandal.

In an attempt to make Clinton's private server seem filled with unimportant emails, the aides, including Jon Lovett and Jennifer Palmieri, thought of a plan to make a fictional thread of emails between Clinton, Republican presidential candidates, Obama and others.

Their plan was to print out the emails - all with fictional email addresses - and have them jokingly presented by Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe, a longtime Clinton ally, at an unknown date and time.

Obama's email address in the joke thread featured an extra kicker - it showed his address being rooted in Kenya with a '.co.ke' as a domain address suffix: BarackH@gmail.co.ke.

Senior Md. corrections investigators out of jobs following internal affairs probe: (we told you it was coming)

Weeks after federal prosecutors arrested 80 people in a widespread bribery and drug conspiracy inside a Maryland prison, two senior Corrections Department employees who helped in the probe say they have been fired.

Steven F. Geppi, the agency's director of investigation, intelligence and fugitive apprehension, and Debra Gonzalez Morin, the chief of intelligence, said they were told on Tuesday that "their services were no longer needed."

They said the state Department of Corrections is also investigating several other employees who work in their former division.

Gerard M. Shields, a Department of Corrections spokesman, confirmed Wednesday that Geppi and Gonzalez Morin are no longer working for the department.

Shields said their departures were not connected to the three-year investigation at Eastern Correctional Institution, in which prison guards were accused of smuggling drugs, cellphones and tobacco into the prison in exchange for money and sex.

Corrections Secretary Stephen T. Moyer received a complaint involving Geppi and Gonzalez about two weeks ago, Shields said, and the two were placed on administrative leave. Shields would not elaborate on the nature of the complaint, only describing it as misconduct.

The Maryland State Police internal affairs division investigated, he said.

The dinner arrangement, revealed in hacked Podesta emails released by Wikileaks, is just the latest example of an apparent conflict of interest between the Clinton campaign and the federal agency charged with investigating the former secretary of state's email practices.

Podesta and Kadzik, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs, were in frequent contact, other emails show. In one email from January, Kadzik and Podesta, who were classmates at Georgetown Law School in the 1970s, discussed plans to celebrate Podesta's birthday. And in another sent last May, Kadzik's son emailed Podesta asking for a job on the Clinton campaign.
