Argus Media Group appoints bankers to carry out sale of up to £1 billion - part 6 Posted: 14 Apr 2016 01:39 AM PDT This is a bit of a wrinkle on a wrinkle but since little old Betaville broke the Argus Media Group sale story late last year I thought it might be worth airing the wrinkle here. There have been a few reports since I "revealed" a couple of weeks ago that Argus Media's advisers were narrowing the field of bidders to three or four for the final round. Indeed, Reuters chipped in with its report about Temasek leading the pack while the one man story machine that is also known as Kleinman came up with his tale about Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) gatecrashing the auction. Anyway, as I understand it the final four bidders are: Hellman & Friedman General Atlantic ICG Canada Pension Plan with private equity firm Charterhouse tacked on the side. However, given there have been several twists and turns in this sale process, I'm expecting another one! |
