Baltimore mayor to Trump: Don't visit our city during coronavirus stay-at-home order

Posted: 22 May 2020 09:00 PM PDT

Baltimore Mayor Bernard Young urged President Trump on Thursday to forgo a planned Memorial Day visit to the city amid its stay-at-home order.

On Monday, Trump is slated to visit the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, which is closed to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"I wish that the President, as our nation's leader, would set a positive example and not travel during this holiday weekend," Young, a Democrat, said in a statement. "That President Trump is deciding to pursue nonessential travel sends the wrong message to our residents, many of whom have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 virus."

Dr. Siegel warns officials should watch South America ahead of possible coronavirus 'second wave'

Posted: 22 May 2020 08:30 PM PDT

Fox News medical contributor Dr. Marc Siegel told "Bill Hemmer Reports" Thursday that U.S. officials should keep an eye on the spread of coronavirus in South America as they prepare for a possible second wave of the pandemic in the fall and winter.

"Today, I don't like what's coming out of Brazil," Siegel told host Bill Hemmer. "They have close to 300,000 cases in Brazil ... but they've had the highest number of cases on record over the last 24 hours, close to 20,000 cases; and Argentina is gearing up."

Siegel noted that South American countries are currently experiencing conditions that would be the equivalent of late November in the Northern Hemisphere.

The NYU Langone internist added that Australia is having better luck containing the spread of COVID-19, but explained that the government there instituted a lockdown very early on.

Troopers To Continue Increased Enforcement Through Holiday Weekend

Posted: 22 May 2020 08:00 PM PDT

(PIKESVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police troopers from all 23 barracks and from divisions not normally assigned to road patrol will be involved in targeted traffic safety initiatives through the holiday weekend as part of their continuing effort to reduce speeding and address aggressive and impaired driving on Maryland roads.

The priority of every uniformed state trooper on patrol this weekend will be traffic safety. Regular patrol troopers from each barrack will be supplemented by troopers from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division and some normally assigned to the Criminal Enforcement Division. The additional troopers will all assist with specific traffic safety initiatives across the state.

"Our priority is to do all we can to ensure the safety of each person traveling on Maryland roads throughout this holiday weekend," Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel Woodrow Jones III said. "Commanders will be deploying troopers to those areas where speeding complaints are most frequent and where crashes and impaired driving arrests have been the highest. I encourage each driver traveling this weekend to make traffic safety their most important concern when they are behind the wheel. Don't drive impaired or aggressively. Obey the speed limit and always buckle up."

Troopers will be using laser speed measuring devices, including ten new units purchased by the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division with funding from the Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program, coordinated by the MDOT State Highway Administration Motor Carrier Division. Troopers will also be on patrol in unmarked vehicles, looking for drivers exceeding the speed limits and driving aggressively.

Some of the additional troopers will be working overtime, as a result of grant funding for impaired driving and aggressive driving enforcement. This funding comes through the MDOT State Highway Administration and the Maryland Highway Safety Office.

Troopers from the State Police Impaired Driving Reduction Effort, or SPIDRE Team, will be working through the weekend. These specially-trained and experienced troopers focus predominantly on locating and arresting impaired drivers. This team is funded through a grant from the Maryland Highway Safety Office.

Citizens are reminded they can report dangerous drivers traveling on Maryland interstates by safely dialing #77 on their cell phone and providing the nearest State Police barrack a description of the vehicle, location and direction of travel.

Scientists Claim 'Medicinal Cannabis' Could Help Fight COVID-19

Posted: 22 May 2020 07:00 PM PDT

Ever since scientists reportedly explored the deterrent effects of nicotine in preventing the coronavirus, potheads probably figured it was only a matter of time until somebody did the same for marijuana.

Now, a team of researchers in Calgary told a local TV station that their research into local strains of marijuana shows "promise."

The husband-and-wife team say they've been researching potential medicinal properties of marijuana for more than five years, but started to 'pivot' their research once the coronavirus came on the scene.

Olga and Igor Kovalchuk have been working with cannabis since 2015, using varieties from around the world to create new hybrids and develop extracts that demonstrate certain therapeutic properties.

"There's a lot of documented information about cannabis in cancer, cannabis in inflammation, anxiety, obesity and what not," says Igor. "When COVID-19 started, Olga had the idea to revisit our data, and see if we can utilize it for COVID.

"It was like a joker card, you know, coronavirus. It just mixes up everybody's plans," says Olga.

She says they started to examine the special proteins, or receptors, that the virus hijacks to enter the body, and they've now submitted a research paper studying the effects of medical cannabis on COVID-19.

"We were totally stunned at first, and then we were really happy," says Olga.

JOE ROGAN: OBAMAGATE IS REAL AND ILLEGAL

Posted: 22 May 2020 06:00 PM PDT

"All that Russia stuff that they were claiming was going to happen didn't take place."

"The exiting president literally hires or gets the FBI to investigate Trump," Rogan said.

"Listen to Jimmy Dore's video on it. Jimmy Dore's video is excellent. He breaks down exactly what the administration did. And that it's illegal." Rogan added.

"You are essentially using the FBI to spy on Trump. And it turned out that all that Russia stuff that they were claiming was going to happen didn't take place, and that they knew it wasn't really happening to begin with." Rogan continued.

"What they are saying was all hyperbole and exaggerating. They were trying to turn it into something that it wasn't." Rogan urged, adding "It's not good. It's not all good."

Study: Coronavirus likely 'adapted' to humans at lab

Posted: 22 May 2020 05:30 PM PDT

Appearance should 'motivate' efforts to prevent future occurrences

It's unlikely that COVID-19 crossed species lines at a Wuhan, China, wet market that China originally pinpointed as the source of the global pandemic, a study of the disease found.

The study's authors, Canadian evolutionary biologist Shing Zhan and MIT molecular biologist Yujia Alina Chan, found that "phylogenetic tracking suggests" that the virus "had been imported into the market by humans."

"Our observations suggest that by the time SARS-CoV-2" — the underlying virus that causes the coronavirus — "was first detected in late 2019, it was already pre-adapted to human transmission," the authors wrote in the study.

"The sudden appearance of a highly infectious SARS-CoV-2 presents a major cause for concern that should motivate stronger international efforts to identify the source and prevent near future reemergence."

Unless the staff and customers are wearing face mask our family will not go in. In a store, customers with out masks, i leave, and leave the cart in its tracks. If you people want business to open again show some MUTUAL respect.

Publishers Notes: You have every right to your choice, just as in we have every right to our choice. If you people are so afraid of this virus, stay home. It really is that simple. Aside from that "anonymous", do tell us exactly what business isn't wearing masks because frankly I think you are full of crap desperate for attention.

Coronavirus could be mutating into something far more deadlier

Posted: 22 May 2020 03:30 PM PDT

Chinese doctors are concerned the coronavirus has mutated as they are seeing it manifest differently in patients

Chinese health authorities are now reporting that the coronavirus could be changing, as doctors are seeing big differences in the way that the virus is presenting itself in certain areas.

One of China's top doctors who is on the front line battling the coronavirus spoke to state TV this past Tuesday and said that many patients in the northern provinces of Jilin and Heilongjiang are becoming infected for a long period of time. They also take longer to test negative and, on average, take longer to show symptoms in comparison to the original patients from Wuhan. This has raised concerns that the coronavirus has mutated, and due to symptoms taking longer to show, and infection lasting longer, the virus would essentially have become deadlier and harder to eradicate.

According to Qiu, "The longer period during which infected patients show no symptoms has created clusters of family infections". Luckily, there are multiple reasons for why patients in these regions are taking longer than the one to weeks to show symptoms, which means the scientists still don't know if the virus has mutated or is mutating. At the moment, it's still far too early to know, Chinese doctors and researchers need to observe the patients more and find clear evidence that the virus is changing before concluding that is the case.

Lungs of deceased COVID-19 patients show distinctive features

Posted: 22 May 2020 03:00 PM PDT

In a new study in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), senior author, Steven J. Mentzer, MD, thoracic surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and a team of international researchers examined seven lungs obtained during autopsy from patients who died of COVID-19. They compared this group to seven autopsied lungs obtained from patients who died of acute respiratory distress syndrome secondary to influenza A (H1N1) infection as well as to 10 age-matched uninfected control lungs.

Both COVID-19 and influenza are the same category of virus and both infect the respiratory tract. While the lungs shared some common features, there were distinctive features related toblood vessels seen in the lungs of patients who had died of COVID-19.

Researchers observed that COVID-19 damaged the endothelial cells (vascular lining cells), causing severe endothelial injury. Patients with COVID-19 showed widespread blood clotting as well as new vessel growth—the latter likely a result of the body's response to the virus. The team saw signs of a distinctive pattern of pulmonary vascular disease progression in some cases of COVID-19 compared to that of equally severe influenza virus infection.

The 2020 Election

Posted: 22 May 2020 02:30 PM PDT

What is very interesting is that Trump would even do such an advertisement. The Democrats have organized themselves into "The Resistance" to sabotage President Trump. This is really a major confrontation for Democracy is dead and indeed the press has lost all integrity and is no longer balanced. Many are confused. Why do the Democrats hate Trump so much? It certainly seems that they are so against him because he cannot be bribed and as such is overturning their feeding trough.

There are many people that wonder what is going on. This advertisement is truly amazing insofar it is exposing a lot of issues that many people find questionable. There are some entities that Trump points out in this advertisement from Sorors to the bankers who I can personally attest have been engaged in trading markets for major gains and rely on the SEC and CFTC to always look the other way. Some banks have been paying bribes to achieve their goals in markets. I have called them "The Club" for they were outright soliciting me to join.

This 2020 election will be different. It will be very interesting, to say the least. This ad DOES NOTtarget a specific candidate. So it seems to be throwing down the gauntlet for an all out war. This is very curious for it is a major departure in how politics had been played. The point here is that the gloves have come off. I have been warning that the 2020 election should be the most violent. Perhaps we have not seen anything yet.

A Viewer Writes: Zoo Director Selection

Would be nice to do a public information request to see if any candidates with actual zoological qualifications were considered (or even applied). Likely a small pool of candidates based on the lack of accreditation. You'd think running a zoo would require at least a bare minimum of animal husbandry or biology experience. But, I'm just a standard issue taxpayer, so what do I know.

Harris Announces COVID Emergency Response Grant to Wicomico County

Posted: 22 May 2020 01:55 PM PDT

WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) announced that the Wicomico County Government will receive $58,008 in federal grants from the Department of Justice's Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding (CESF) Program. Specifically, the CESF Program allows States, U.S. Territories, the District of Columbia, units of local government, and federally recognized tribal governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus. Funded projects or initiatives may include, but are not limited to, overtime, equipment (including law enforcement and medical personal protective equipment), hiring, supplies (such as gloves, masks, sanitizer), training, travel expenses (particularly related to the distribution of resources to the most impacted areas), and addressing the medical needs of inmates in state, local, and tribal prisons, jails, and detention centers.

Congressman Harris made the following statement:

"As a physician, I understand the importance of protecting public health. As we move to re-open Maryland, jurisdictions will require additional attention and financial assistance to safely re-open. Wicomico County is home to a significant portion of our national poultry processing industry, and I thank the administration for providing this supplemental funding. We can reopen many of our local small businesses and restaurants safely with social distancing and use of masks, and I will continue to advocate for safely reopening our local economy and community."

Conservatives Ask Amazon to End SPLC’s Role as ‘Hate Group’ Sheriff

Posted: 22 May 2020 01:30 PM PDT

A conservative free-market group hopes to convince Amazon, the world's largest retailer, not to rely on the Southern Poverty Law Center as a gatekeeper for its philanthropic giving.

The scandal-plagued SPLC, a left-wing advocacy organization, routinely labelsmainstream center-right organizations as "hate groups" on a list that includes actual hate groups such as the Ku Klux Klan or neo-Nazis.

"Amazon likes to inoculate themselves from criticism. That's what our proposal is trying to do is pierce that inoculation," Justin Danhof, director of the Free Enterprise Project at the National Center for Public Policy Research, told The Daily Signal in a phone interview.

At issue is the AmazonSmile program, in which online buyers may contribute a small percentage of purchase prices to the charity of their choice, whether it's their church or a nonprofit such as the Red Cross. To the chagrin of conservatives, Amazon allows the Southern Poverty Law Center to decide whether the chosen charity is appropriate.

FBI Offered To Pay Christopher Steele ‘Significantly’ To Dig Up Dirt On Flynn

Posted: 22 May 2020 01:00 PM PDT

An FBI offer to pay former British spy Christopher Steele to collect intelligence on Michael Flynn in the weeks before the 2016 election has been one of the more overlooked revelations in a Justice Department inspector general's report released in December.

The reference to the FBI proposal, which was made in an Oct. 3, 2016, meeting in an unidentified European city, has received virtually no press attention. But it might have new significance following the recent release of government documents that show that Steele peddled an unfounded rumor that Flynn had an extra-marital affair with a Russian woman in the United Kingdom.

The inspector general's report, released on Dec. 9, 2019, said that FBI agents offered to pay Steele "significantly" to collect intelligence from three separate "buckets" that the bureau was pursuing as part of Crossfire Hurricane, its counter-intelligence probe of four Trump campaign associates.

Chicago Mayor Orders Parking Bans Around Churches to Thwart Services

Posted: 22 May 2020 12:30 PM PDT

The deep blue state of Illinois is beginning to revolt against the nation's strictest coronavirus lockdowns even as those in charge seek to strengthen their power.

Some of the more outrageous examples of overreach are seen in the City of Chicago, where Mayor Lori Lightfoot has fenced in the city's extensive lakeshore areas and even created newly designated no parking zones around churches to prevent worshipers from attending services.

Last Sunday, the city's first gay mayor sent the Chicago Police Department (CPD) out to erect new signs around the neighborhood of Philadelphia Romanian Church to suddenly create long stretches of new "No parking/tow warning" zones around the building.

Lightfoot also sent the CPD to prowl around outside several of the city's churches to hand out parking violations, Chicago's CBS affiliate reported.

Multiple Universities Refuse to Cooperate with Federal Investigations into Ties to China

Posted: 22 May 2020 12:00 PM PDT

Several universities around the nation are currently under investigation by the Department of Education over their alleged financial ties to the Chinese government. A report published this week suggests that many universities are refusing to comply with a standard request to produce internal documents.

According to a report by the College Fix, several universities and colleges that are under investigation by the Department of Education are refusing to release internal documents that may contain evidence of undisclosed financial grants from the Chinese government.

The report claims that lawyers for several universities refused to comply with a request to produce documents, arguing that they were entitled to privacy under "Freedom of Information Act exemptions and legal privileges." A letter from the Department of Education did not name the universities and colleges that have refused to comply with the request for documents.

Department of Education General Counsel Reed Rubinstein believes that many American universities and colleges have been compromised by foreign governments, China being one of the primary governments in question. "However, the evidence suggests massive investments of foreign money have bred dependency and distorted the decision making, mission, and values of too many institutions," Rubinstein said.

Appeals court orders judge in Michael Flynn case to respond to request for removal

Posted: 22 May 2020 11:30 AM PDT

A federal appeals court on Thursday ordered the judge overseeing the case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn to respond to a petition from Flynn's legal team seeking to remove him from the case.

In a brief one-page order, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ordered U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan to "file a response addressing the petitioners' request."

Judge Sullivan has 10 days to address Flynn's legal brief. The court also invited the Justice Department to weigh in on whether Judge Sullivan should be reassigned.

The order also revealed that two Republican-appointed judges will oversee Flynn's bid to have the charges he lied to the FBI dismissed.

Judicial Watch Forces Release of “Electronic Communication” Used to Launch Obama’s Spy Operation

Posted: 22 May 2020 11:00 AM PDT

Judicial Watch says that it received the "electronic communication" (EC) that officially launched the counter-intelligence investigation, termed "Crossfire Hurricane," of President Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.

The document, which was written by former FBI official Peter Strzok and was obtained as the result of a Judicial Watch FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) lawsuit against the FBI and DOJ.

The redacted document details seemingly third-hand information that the Russian government "had been seeking prominent members of the Donald Trump campaign in which to engage to prepare for potential post-election relations should Trump be elected U.S. President." The document also alleges Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, claimed to an unnamed party that "they (the Russians) could assist the Trump campaign with the anonymous release of information during the campaign that would be damaging to Hillary Clinton."

Philly Elections Judge Pleads Guilty to Stuffing Ballot Boxes for Bribes

Posted: 22 May 2020 10:30 AM PDT

A Democratic elections judge in Pennsylvania has pleaded guilty to taking bribes to stuff ballot boxes, newly unsealed court documents show.

Domenick J. DeMuro, a former judge of elections and Democratic committeeman in Philadelphia, took thousands of dollars from a political consultant to cast fraudulent ballots and certify phony returns, according to the indictment.

DeMuro pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to deprive persons of civil rights and one count of using interstate facilities in aid of bribery in a federal court on March 16.

The guilty plea comes as President Donald Trump is escalating attacks on balloting alternatives like vote-by-mail. Some states, including battlegrounds like Michigan, are discouraging in-person voting due to the coronavirus pandemic and sending voters unsolicited ballot applications. The president claims vote-by-mail is rife with fraud—though those charges are contested by elections experts—and has threatened to withhold funds from states that use such a system.

South Carolina election ballots reportedly found in Maryland this week

Posted: 22 May 2020 09:45 AM PDT

South Carolina election ballots reportedly ended up in Maryland this week, after mail-in voting for the Palmetto State's June 9 primary has already begun, according to local news reports.

South Carolina election officials may cut ties with the company they used, Minnesota printer SeaChange, over the mix-up after about 20 Charleston County absentee ballots were found outside the state, the reports say.

Election officials say this isn't the first absentee ballot issue they've had with the company, which prints and mails ballots for 13 South Carolina counties.

Some voters in Greenville County received the wrong absentee ballots when the Democratic presidential primary and the special election for sheriff were held just 10 days apart, Election Commission spokesman Chris Whitmire told the Post and Courier. Voters in Charleston received ballots that were folded in a way that made them tough to read by scanning machines.

In a year that will see record numbers of absentee voting due to the coronavirus pandemic, the election integrity of absentee voting has become a major issue.

The Crisis in Nursing Homes Just Got Worse

Posted: 22 May 2020 09:30 AM PDT

Democrats like to portray themselves as The Party of Science, so why are they still sticking COVID-19 victims in nursing homes in Democrat-run Minnesota?

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported on Wednesday that "Minnesota nursing homes are still being allowed by state regulators to admit coronavirus patients who have been discharged from hospitals."

This, despite the fact that nursing homes represent a whopping four out of five COVID-19 related death in the Democrat-run North Star State. The official figure is 81%.

Has the Party of Science learned nothing?

At the very best, they're learning very slowly. The Star-Tribune reports that the "practice is drawing strong opposition from some lawmakers" who are "calling for more state scrutiny over transfers."

So if I'm reading this correctly, there are a few Minnesota lawmakers who want state regulators who are already putting the infected in with the vulnerable, to finally take a closer look at that, approximately 629 dead nursing home residents later.

VA Democrat City Councils Flip to GOP in Response to Northam Gun Control

Control of the Staunton City Council flipped from blue to red after a surge in turnout among Republican voters."

The Augusta Free Press reported the flip "from blue to red" was due to Northam's gun control efforts.

SECOND CITY EMPLOYEE TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Posted: 22 May 2020 08:56 AM PDT

Salisbury– Mayor Jake Day has announced that a second municipal employee of the City of Salisbury has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee, a member of the Salisbury Fire Department, is currently presenting with a cough, but no other symptoms. The employee will remain in home isolation as mandated by the Wicomico County Health Department

City Administrator and COVID-19 Czar, Julia Glanz said, "To date the Salisbury Fire Department has transported 76 COVID-19 positive patients, with 328 PUIs (Persons Under Investigation), and while our team is taking every precaution possible, we knew the likelihood of another team member getting infected was high. We are supporting this Firefighter to make sure this period of isolation at home is as easy as possible on them and their family. I hope those in our community will continue to follow good hygiene habits and stay home as much as possible so our first responders can go home safely to their families."

Essential City workers have their temperatures taken at the beginning of each shift, and are required to wear N95 masks at all times when on-duty. While these measures can help to minimize the spread of the virus, no method of protection is 100% effective at keeping you infection-free.

While mitigation remains vitally important, we have already begun to see the disease exact its sad toll here in Salisbury. In honor of our neighbors who have lost their battles with COVID-19, all City of Salisbury flags continue to be flown at half-mast until further notice.

Baltimore mayor urges Trump to reconsider Memorial Day visit to Fort McHenry with city under stay-at-home order

Posted: 22 May 2020 08:50 AM PDT

Baltimore Mayor Bernard C. "Jack" Young is urging President Donald Trump to reconsider his planned visit to the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine on Memorial Day, in light of the stay-at-home order in place in the city to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

"I wish that the President, as our nation's leader, would set a positive example and not travel during this holiday weekend," Young said in a statement Thursday.

But the president has no intention of changing his plans, according to the White House.

"The brave men and women who have preserved our freedoms for generations did not stay home and the President will not either as he honors their sacrifice by visiting such a historic landmark in our Nation's history," White House spokesman Judd Deere said.

Pickles Owner Responds To Citation From Health Department

Posted: 22 May 2020 08:34 AM PDT

Brittney said...

Just to set the record straight hi I am Brittney Acita and my husband and I own and operate Pickles Pub. We want to set the record straight on the article that's out there. We did not have anyone on our porch drinking, we did not receive a fine. We received a warning for people standing in line not social distancing on the public sidewalk. We are very aware that our local government is fighting hard for its businesses and our police force is working with everyone. For this we are so thankful and this is why we love our town. We do however find warnings and tickets for issues like this over the top. Our staff is doing their best to keep people distanced from each other but with limited income and limited staff and the public having their own opinion on everything it's very difficult to enforce. We are all about restaurants banding together peacefully to get the ball rolling on reopening. The people and government need to hear our voices to see the struggle we are going through. It's devastating to so many small businesses. While we are not undermining the deaths covid has caused we are stressing that restaurants need to reopen. Thank you hope to see you at the pub one day soon!

Publishers Notes: Thank You Brittney! I have been working very closely with ALL of our elected officials who truly feel our pain and are doing everything they can to help get us reopened. HOWEVER, the brick wall each and every one of them are facing is that Governor Hogan has absolutely refused to respond to any of them.

I firmly agree with your above message. First of all, the warning you received is way over the top. It is my understanding tat someone drove by your place, saw too many people, (in her opinion) and called it in. MY BIG concern is that when and if we are allowed to open and a group of customers refuse to social distance, WE BUSINESS OWNERS will get fined, not the individuals. And even IF they fined individuals, how's that going to hurt businesses! People won't come back. Frankly, it's NOT worth the risk of reopening.

Then there's the question, will we be told 30%, 50% capacity? Is it even worth opening at those numbers? Will we have to raise our prices 50% to 70% to break even for what's left of the summer season? OK, so get this. This morning I priced out ground beef and this is the honest to God truth. While supplies are limited my distributor told me I'd be paying almost $5.00 A POUND! That's wholesale!

Our government is making it truly impossible to make it. Gas has gone up 20 cents a gallon in the past few days, yet oil is at an all time low for this generation. I could sell sand from the beach easier then I could reopen my restaurant/bar. With the gestapo sneaking around with citations in hand and fining us $5,000.00, I'd rather remain closed and I'm so sorry you had to experience what you did.  Hopefully the press you received helped put your business on the map and I truly believe when you do open you'll be at full capacity.

WH portraits of the Obamas won't be unveiled until Trump leaves office

Posted: 22 May 2020 08:30 AM PDT

Barack and Michelle Obama's presidential and first lady portraits will not be unveiled and hung in the White House until Donald Trump is out of office, a Tuesday morning report revealed.

The long-held tradition of current presidents attending the unveiling ceremony of the portraits of their predecessors and their wives during their first term will be skipped during this presidency due to the bitter feud between Trump and Obama, people familiar with the matter told NBC News.

If Trump wins a second term in November, Obama may have to wait until 2025 to have his portrait revealed and displayed in the White House among every U.S. president before him.

Obama, people familiar with the matter said, has no interest in participating in the post-presidency tradition as long as Trump is in office – and Trump has no qualms with snubbing a presidential custom.

A Viewer Writes: Cops/FBI Manufacture Lottery Theft Scheme

Posted: 22 May 2020 08:00 AM PDT

2-Blacks were arrested in Maryland for theft of $42,500 cash Lottery theft.

However the State Police,FBI,Maryland Treasury,Maryland Comptrollers Office nor Maryland Lottery Commission all failed to produce a Lottery. In fact Lottery Commission under Subpoena by me had to Certify there was never any such Lottery won as the racially biased State Prosecutor would allege.

However, the police and FBI hunted 2-innocent blacks down to Miami Beach,Arrested a innocent kid to which they denied phone call and attorney for 14 days. Parents were unaware of child's whereabouts as police lied in DADE COUNTY claiming they had never seen her.

Single mother finds out calls police,ACLU and IAD in Maryland all refused to file official charges against police and FBI for false arrest.

Mother was then arrested for conspiracy scheme to help steal the phony lottery and state refused to drop charges and unconstitutionally has been holding mother under $25,000 Bail for a crime that dies not exist. When mother challenged Prosecutor he would smear her character with a friend on the bench Judge Baynes alledging Mother was unfit to stand trial or testify. Which all is untrue.

I have documents to show and verify this was a racial hate crime orchestrated by 2 white cops as December 17,2019 The Assistant State Attorney Nathaniel Bowen had his criminal witness get on the stand to lie and he actually told the truth as Defense showed him evidence that he would purger himself and be jailed.

Prosecutor still refused to drop the phony case against the black family. Police claim there was more than $42,500 cash stolen but there was no eyewitness nor official records to verify the false allegations and manufactured testimony.

Mother case still pending in Circuit Court in Elkton after 1 year for a crime that never happened see court file case# C7-CR19731 Judge K.Baynes Cecil County Circuit Court arrested 6/14/2019

court file case#D-032-CR-19-000468 Judge Baynes/Judge Brenda Sexton arrested 3/4/2019

State alledges career criminal is a victim of financial loss greater than $100k, then it went to $42,500. However this man has stolen $17,000 in checks and M& T Bank,State Of New York Banking Commission,Delaware Insurance and Banking Commission just assisted GEICO in the full refund of one of the stolen checks$4876.00 which belong to (me) the mother who was falsely arrested for nothing. However police refused to arrest the man they have actual hard evidence against without victim statement or testimony as he forged and cashed each check at his Middletown Bank in Delaware [Wilmington Trust aka M& T Bank.

Please come see paper trail as man made large deposits without a job nor any IRS or state tax,Dept of Labor records in the USA.

Biden: ‘If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black’

Posted: 22 May 2020 07:54 AM PDT

Former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday emphatically defended his ties to the African-American community — telling a popular black radio personality that he "ain't black" if he was still weighing whether to support Biden or President Donald Trump in November's general election.

The remarks from the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee came during an at-times contentious interview on "The Breakfast Club" that aired Friday morning, during which co-host Charlamagne tha God challenged Biden over his decades-long record on racial issues and current contemplation of a black, female running mate.

"I'm not acknowledging anybody who is being considered, but I guarantee you, there are multiple black women being considered. Multiple," Biden said of his search process for a vice presidential nominee.

It was then that an aide to the Biden campaign could be heard interjecting into the conversation, attempting to cut short the interview. "Thank you so much. That's really our time. I apologize," the aide said.

"You can't do that to black media!" Charlamagne retored.

"I do that to white media and black media because my wife has to go on at 6 o'clock," Biden shot back, apparently referring to a subsequent media appearance by Dr. Jill Biden, before adding: "Uh oh. I'm in trouble."

East Hampton board petitions Gov. Cuomo to halt resort re-openings

Posted: 22 May 2020 07:30 AM PDT

Hamptons citizens fear that summer tourists will bring more cases of COVID-19 out east as hotels plan to open for the summer.

Sceney hotels Gurney's and Montauk Beach House, among others, plan to open with new policies. But on Thursday, the Town of East Hampton's board wrote a letter — parts of which have been seen by Page Six — to Gov. Andrew Cuomo asking him to prohibit the opening of hotels and resorts until New York is further into the recovery process.

"A summertime influx of people into our area has the potential to cause renewed outbreaks," says the letter. "We are hearing pleas from our residents to take action to protect them … We fear that adding hotel and motel visitors to the mix will simply overwhelm our town, creating an untenable, and avoidable, surge in the ongoing public health crisis."

"Are we suppose to give them a reward for neglecting their jobs or one for actually finally doing them?"

Happy #transformationalthursday Salisbury! This week we are featuring work done by field operations teams to clear overgrowth surrounding the South Park Drive staircase in the City Park!

Clearing the vines and plants growing around and on the staircase not only helps to inhibit overgrowth, but promotes safety by making sure the staircase is clear, and the railings are graspable! Shout out to field operations for their beautiful work!

Horowitz: We have been lied to: 6 facts that change everything we know about SARS-CoV-2

James Madison once said, "A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps both." The coronavirus fascists have succeeded in cementing their illogical, immoral, and illegal policies through the prism of false information about the timing of the virus, the specific nature and severity of the overall fatality rate, the number of actual deaths, and the utility (or perhaps harm) of lockdown policies in actually mitigating deaths – all the while obfuscating the much higher collateral deaths and damage caused by the lockdown itself.

Every day we learn new information demonstrating the lies driving lockdown. Here are some of the most important ones from over the weekend.

1) The shocking inflation of COVID-19 death numbers: From day one, we were warned that states are ascribing every single death of anyone who happens to test positive for the coronavirus — even if they are asymptomatic — to the virus rather than the clear cause of death. Now, thanks to a lawsuit in Colorado, the state was forced to revise its death count down by 23 % over the weekend — from 1,150 to 878. The state is now publishing numbers of deaths "with" COVID-19 separate from deaths "from" COVID-19. As I reported on Thursday, county officials started accusing the state's department of health of reclassifying deaths of those who tested positive for the virus but died of things like alcohol poisoning as COVID-19 deaths just to insidiously inflate the numbers. This revision in Colorado is a bombshell story that, of course, will remain unknown to most Americans. Every state needs to do this, and if they did, we would find an across-the-board drop in numbers by at least 25%, the same %age by which Dr. Birx reportedly believes the count is being inflated, according to the Washington Post. For example, in Minnesota, state officials are now admitting that every single person who dies in a nursing home after testing positive is now deemed to have died from the virus, never mind the fact that 25% of all natural deaths in a given week occur in nursing homes and that most cases of COVID-19 are asymptomatic, which means more often than not, they died exclusively of other causes.

Nursing home records eight covid-19 deaths

Posted: 22 May 2020 06:15 AM PDT

All eight of Worcester County's coronavirus-related deaths have been at the Berlin Nursing Home. It has recorded 19 staff cases and 45 resident cases.

Worcester County has reached 181 cases and eight deaths, according to the Maryland Health Department. This is an increase of 54 from last week.

According to the Worcester County Health Department, most of the deaths have been women in their 80s. One of the deaths was probable – the individual was never tested.

There are 98 cases in the Berlin and Ocean Pines 21811 zip code, 16 cases in the Ocean City 21842 zip code, 17 in the Snow Hill 21863 zip code and 49 in the Pocomoke City 21851 zip code.

A zip code must have at least eight cases to be listed.

Ninety-six people have been released from public monitoring. Worcester has conducted 1,717 coronavirus tests.

Russian woman miraculously walks away from 120-mph motorcycle crash

Posted: 22 May 2020 06:00 AM PDT

A Russian biker is lucky to be alive after crashing during a street race that topped out at 120 mph, video shows.

The hair-raising footage, posted Sunday to Instagram, shows a woman on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R with an apparent death wish as she races alongside another driver near Sochi before her bike starts to wobble.

The woman, reportedly known as Angelina, then bails off the motorcycle before crashing to the asphalt. Another man nearby came to check if she was OK as she composed herself after the stunning wreck, video shows.

The woman astonishingly avoided breaking any bones during the crash, walking away with just scratches and bruises, the Sun reports.

"All my body hurts," Angelina tells the man. "Please, ambulance."

"Calm down, breathe," one witness replies. "Do not move anything. Leave your helmet. Do not move, lie as you are."

The female daredevil then said she had a "speed wobble" during the street race.

Mike Rowe: COVID-19 has revealed college for what it REALLY is

Posted: 22 May 2020 05:30 AM PDT

'You're gonna be left with a breathtakingly overpriced product'

In this episode of "The Rubin Report," BlazeTV host Dave Rubin was joined by "Dirty Jobs" star Mike Rowe to talk about the effects of the COVID-19 lockdowns and how they might permanently change many aspects of our lives.

Mike explained why he believes the pandemic has revealed college and higher education to be an overpriced luxury and said he hopes that this will cause us to rethink how we structure education in the US.

"I think when the dust settles, higher education is going to be revealed as the luxury brand that it truly is," he told Dave. "And when you take away all of the stuff that has nothing to do with learning or connecting, you're gonna be left with a breathtakingly overpriced product."

Merkley: Republicans Opposing Mail-In Voting ‘to Stop People of Color from Voting’

Posted: 22 May 2020 04:00 AM PDT

On Wednesday's broadcast of SiriusXM's "Dean Obeidallah Show," Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) said Republicans and President Donald Trump's opposition to mail-in voting was an attempt to stop "people of color from participating in the upcoming 2020 general election.

Obeidallah asked, "Mail-in ballots — you use this in Oregon. You have people on the right saying, 'Oh, it is wrought with fraud.' Tell us how has it been in your state?"

Merkley said, "It is incredible we have been doing it since the year 2000."

He continued, "We have had essentially no scandals."

He added, "It stops so many forms of voter suppression and voter intimidation. The Republicans are trying to stop poor people from voting, they're trying to stop college students from voting, people of color from voting, Indian tribes from voting. So many different ways you can attempt to make it hard. Well, this says you know what, you can't use all those tricks. You can't understaff it. You can't create a four-hour wait in line. You can't move the polling place at the last second and get with away that. That's why I'm really pushing for a guaranteed mail-in ballot, no excuses this November across the country."

Open the States movement declares: "On Friday, the lockdowns end"

Posted: 22 May 2020 03:00 AM PDT

The repressive, often petty and irrational, lockdown measures implemented in many states and localities has caused a backlash that grows daily.

Increasingly, we see hairdressers, restaurants, gyms, and other small businesses saying they are willing to risk arrest in order to reopen and save their businesses. People who normally obey the law are engaging in acts of civil disaobedience against orders and restriction that are viewed as illegitimate, both constitutionally and from a health perspective.

The movement has been mostly spontaneous, but that has not stopped the mainstream media, which clearly is hoping for lockdowns to continue, from portraying the movement asastroturf. These are the same false accusations we heard about the Tea Party movement. There may be some organizational help to it, but look at the Resistance and other movements which were highly organized in their coordinated protests around and after Trump's election.

According to Politico, Convention of the States, which we have covered before, is helping the movement:

The Convention of States, an activist network with tea party origins, did not originate the coronavirus lockdown protests across the country. But it's got a plan to take them to the next level.

Publicly, the group claims no affiliation with the organizers agitating for state governments to lift social-distancing measures. Yet behind the scenes and on their social media channels, the group's leaders have made no secret of their desire to boost the protests, if not elevate them to a bigger, more professionalized and media-friendly network with a more broadly appealing message….
