He and his supporters consider the impending change an opportunity to enshrine what they see as Russia's core moral and geopolitical values for future generations.

Kevin McCarthy: Pelosi Delayed Coronavirus Funding Bill So Dems Could Run Anti-GOP Ads

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 08:30 PM PST

So, did I hear that right? The House of Representatives could have passed the coronavirus funding bill sooner, but Speaker Nancy Pelosi held it up because the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee wanted to run anti-GOP ads on Super Tuesday? Elizabeth Vaughn over at RedState wrote about this. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) detailed this in his interview with Fox News' Laura Ingraham on Monday:
What a scam—Speaker Pelosi held up the vote on coronavirus funding so that her campaign team could run ads against Republicans for Super Tuesday.

Instead of putting America first, she is putting politics first.
Speaking with Fox News' Laura Ingraham on Monday night, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said, "Look how much politics they want to play. The dirty little secret. We have the coronavirus. We need to fund this. You know what Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker, did? She withheld the bill last week. You know why? So the DCCC could run ads against seven Republicans."

America's F-35 stealth aircraft factory in Japan shuttered operations for a week due to new concerns over the Covid-19 outbreak, reported Defense News.

Bipartisanship Alert: Largest Tax Hike in State History Rejected

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:00 PM PST

After weeks of fierce grassroots opposition, last night the House Ways and Means Revenue Subcommittee unanimously voted down HB 1628, the largest tax increase in state history.
"Marylanders spoke out and sent a loud and clear message that we cannot afford to go back to the failed overtax and overspend policies of the past. I want to thank the legislators on both sides of the aisle for their bipartisan vote against this crippling tax increase. I especially want to thank Majority Leader Luedtke for voting against his own initiative. While we successfully blocked this proposal, sadly, legislators are still trying to raise taxes by hundreds of millions of dollars. As long as I am governor, we will continue fighting to protect Maryland families, retirees, and small businesses from massive tax increases." —Governor Hogan
Background
While Governor Hogan is pushing to help retirees with the biggest tax cut in more than two decades, legislators proposed the largest tax hike in state history.
  • This would have been the largest tax hike in state history: more than 3.5 times the gas tax hike of 2013, and nearly five times the sales tax hike of 2007. When this tax hike was first proposed two weeks ago, Governor Hogan said, "It's a tax on working families, it's a tax on single moms... it's not ever going to happen while I'm governor, I can promise you."

  • This tax hike would have hit hundreds of everyday expenses and errands, including haircuts, oil changes, dry cleaning, and online streaming services. It would have had devastating impacts on owning a home (realtors, inspections, repairs and renovations), getting married (photographers, florists, caterers), raising a family (babysitting, day camps, veterinary care), and even dying (funerals, cremation, cemeteries) in the State of Maryland.

  • This tax hike, about $1,900 per Maryland family, would have been so massive that it added up to more than all of the O'Malley administration's tax hikes combined.
  • Marylanders across the state voiced their strong opposition to this bill. On Monday, hundreds of citizens rallied in Annapolis against this proposal, and since its introduction, lawmakers received countless emails from concerned constituents.

"Now, it's not over. Now, we're in a tie," Uygur said as early results came in for Super Tuesday, in which he lost his left-wing bid to take the seat vacated by former California Rep. Katie Hill. "And now, we got absolute, dig-in warfare against the establishment. But we didn't start the war."

The host raised his voice as he spoke about the establishment Democrats and how they "lie" about Sanders.

Harris Applauds Trump Administration Release of Additional H-2B Visas

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:00 PM PST

WASHINGTON, DC: On March 5th, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced its intent to release 35,000 additional H-2B visas for the summer season of Fiscal Year 2020. Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) has spearheaded the effort in Congress to secure the timely release of supplemental visas. He sent a letter, signed by a total of 151 members of the House and 38 Senators, urging Acting Secretary Wolf to release, as quickly as possible, additional H-2B visas to meet seasonal labor demands.

Congressman Harris made the following statement:

"I applaud the Department of Homeland Security for approving the release of 35,000 supplemental H-2B visas in time for the upcoming summer season. This is 5000 more supplemental visas than had been approved last year. The record low unemployment rate under the Trump Administration and oversubscription to the H-2B visa program is a debilitating issue for the economy of Maryland's First Congressional District and the country. I commend President Trump and Acting Secretary Wolf for providing these extras visas – and I remain committed to working with my colleagues in Congress to pass a permanent solution to the chronic H-2B visa shortage across this country – something that only Congress can do."

Further details regarding this year's H-2B allocation will be contained in a Temporary Final Rule that DHS aims to complete and publish as soon as possible.

"Three other people from South Korea — another country with rapidly spreading cases — have also been arrested at the border, as have 122 people from the Dominican Republican, where the coronavirus has now been detected."

The coronavirus, which originated in China in December, has infected more than 91,000 people worldwide and killed well over 3,100 people – with most of the infections and deaths occurring in China.

Whoopi Goldberg mistakenly touts Dr. Jill Biden for surgeon general: 'She's a hell of a doctor'

"The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg didn't realize on Wednesday that the "Dr." in Dr. Jill Biden's title didn't represent a medical degree.

After former Vice President Joe Biden's wins on Super Tuesday, Goldberg floated the candidate's wife for surgeon general.

"I'm hoping Dr. Jill becomes the surgeon general ... she's a hell of a doctor. She's an amazing doctor," Goldberg said, as if she knew of the former second lady's medical expertise.

After co-host Meghan McCain cast doubt on that, Goldberg said: "I could be wrong. I thought she was a PhD."

"Shot puts are heavier for boys. Girls' basketballs are smaller. It makes a difference," Barto said. "This is a pro-woman bill. This is a bill to save women's sports because, frankly, it won't be saved if we don't clarify the law."

DNC Scrambles To Change Debate Threshold After Gabbard Qualifies

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 09:30 AM PST

On a CNN panel on Monday, host John King spoke with Politico reporter Alex Thompson about the possibility of Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard qualifying on Super Tuesday for the party's primary debate in Phoenix later this month.
"I will note this, she's from Hawaii," King said of Gabbard.

"She's a congresswoman from Hawaii; American Samoa votes on Super Tuesday. The rules as they now stand, if you get a delegate, you're back in the debates. As of now. Correct?"

"Yeah, they haven't, I mean, that's been the rule for every single debate," Thompson replied.

"And the DNC has not released their official guidance for the March 15 debate in Phoenix, but it would be very obvious that they are trying to cancel Tulsi, who they're scared of a third party run, if they then change the rules to prevent her to rejoin the debate stage."

And indeed, as the smoke clears from the Super Tuesday frenzy, this is precisely what appears to have transpired.

Wicomico County Council Interfering With County Executives Office, Here's Proof

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 07:53 AM PST

The Director of Finance is appointed as a Director with specific job duties and qualifications under section 505 of the County Charter. There are only three Directors with specific specifications in the County Charter, the Director of Finance, Director of Public Works, and County Attorney. Per Charter, the Director holds the duties of the County Treasurer. This position is directly appointed under 502 by the County Executive. The Charter directly states this. Which makes sense, because treasury should NOT be subject to this political chaos.

Council continues to violate section 314 of the Charter, where they continue to interfere with the executive branch operations concerning the appointment and removal of any person from office or employment. Section 314 clearly states Council is not to interfere with the executive branch - specifically in an attempt to influence the head of any department of the county government concerning the appointment of any person to, or his/her removal from, any office or employment.

Just because they did it in the past under the old form of government does not mean that is the way it is supposed to go. There is an obvious failure to read, comprehend, and fully implement the Charter under the Executive form of government.

OK local lawyers, chime in and tell us what YOU get out of this. It seems petty clear to me, hence why I continue to back and support the County Executive on this matter. It appears the County Council simply wants to prove who has a bigger,,,, TRUCK!

Elizabeth Warren ends presidential run

Sen. Elizabeth Warren is suspending her presidential campaign, a source familiar with the decision tells NBC News, a bitter blow for a senator who was long seen by prominent Democrats as headed for the White House.

It is unclear whether Warren will endorse another Democratic candidate for president.

The decision, which comes after a poor "Super Tuesday" showing in which Warren failed to win any states, ends a frantic year of campaigning for a candidate who branded herself as a progressive fighter from humble beginnings who was ready to take on a broken and corrupt system.

Elizabeth Warren drops out of presidential race: Report

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 08:28 AM PST

Elizabeth Warren, facing mounting pressure from the progressive flank of the Democratic Party, ended her presidential campaign on Thursday, according to the New York Times, after a dismal Super Tuesday performance in which she placed no higher than third in 14 nomination contests, including in her home state, Massachusetts.

The decision comes as the primary field, which once featured two dozen candidates, has winnowed down to a two-man race between Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, 78, and former Vice President Joe Biden, 77. It's unclear whether Warren intends to endorse either candidate, both of whom have spoken with Warren since Super Tuesday ended.

It also follows similar moves by Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar and Mike Bloomberg, who exited the race earlier this week and rallied behind Biden, creating a formidable moderate opponent who can compete against Sanders and his grassroots juggernaut.

The mother of one of the San Bernardino terrorists who killed 14 people and injured 22 others at a Christmas party in 2015 will plead guilty to destroying evidence later this month.

Rafia Sultana Shareef, also known as Rafia Farook, will plead guilty to destroying a map her son, Syed Rizwan Farook, allegedly drew to plan the shooting, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.

"Shareef admitted that she knew her son had produced the documents, and she believed it was directly related to his planning on the IRC attack," her plea agreement claims.

DEL. HARTMAN: WORKERS IN RISKY JOBS NEED GUNS

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 06:00 AM PST

Del. Wayne Hartman (R-Wicomico-Worcester) urged fellow lawmakers on Wednesday to pass legislation that would allow workers in high-risk professions — including firefighters, EMTS, probation officers, nurses and security guards at houses of worship — to carry handguns.

"This bill would require the secretary of the state police to issue a permit to carry, wear or transport a handgun to a person who meets certain requirements and is employed in certain professions. Those assumed-risk professions would be correctional officers, probation officers, firefighters, EMTs, rescue-squad members, security guards for churches and religious organizations, physicians, physician's assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners," Hartman said at a House Judiciary Committee hearing in Annapolis.

"Unfortunately, as times change, there has been many events that lead up to the need for this bill. In 2018 an off-duty correctional officer was killed on the street in Queens, New York. In 2016, a female correctional officer was killed in Brooklyn in a drive-by shooting. In Virginia, in 2019, a firefighter was killed on the night of Thanksgiving. She had just spent her Thanksgiving delivering Thanksgiving meals to the most unfortunate — only to be shot and killed that night while responding to a call."

Please Tell Me Why States Attorney Dykes Can't Retain An Outside Law Firm To Handle SPD Cases

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:01 AM PST

In the video we provided yesterday at the County Council Meeting Mrs. Dykes and her Asst. States Attorney stated they needed $300,000.00 to hire two attorneys and an investigator from over the bridge. They went on to say no one of quality is going to come here for a temporary job.

Well, why can't they simply RETAIN a Law Firm to handle these cases? Why is Dykes trying to ram millions of dollars down taxpayers throats for three additional, high paying positions when they can simply pay/retain a firm for a portion of such expenses like Paul Wilber's Firm, for example!

Treat this damn County like a business Mrs. Dykes and do your job.

Trump calls for 'serious action' after Schumer says Supreme Court justices will 'pay the price' for abortion vote

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:00 AM PST

President Trump suggested that Sen. Chuck Schumer should be arrested or removed from office after the Senate minority leader threatened two Supreme Court justices.

Schumer, a Democrat from New York, said on Wednesday that Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh would "pay the price" if they choose to uphold a Louisiana law that mandates abortion doctors be preapproved to check their patients into a nearby hospital. Both justices are Trump appointees.

"This is a direct & dangerous threat to the U.S. Supreme Court by Schumer. If a Republican did this, he or she would be arrested, or impeached. Serious action MUST be taken NOW!" Trump tweeted on Wednesday evening.

Elementary school clinic aide is jailed for five years for stealing students' Adderall pills and replacing them with other drugs including Benadryl

A Virginia elementary school clinic aide convicted of stealing students' ADHD prescription medications and replacing them with other drugs was sentenced on Monday to five years in prison.

Caitlin Poytress, 39, was working for Clover Hill Elementary School in Chesterfield in May 2019 when the school's registered nurse began to suspect she was tampering with student medications, according to a summary of evidence by a Chesterfield Assistant Commonwealth´s Attorney.

The nurse noticed pill bottles were out when they shouldn't have been, medications were missing from their normal locations and pill count logs showed unexplained changes and revisions, prosecutors alleged.

Wicomico County Is Facing Very Serious And Damaging Issues

Posted: 05 Mar 2020 05:46 AM PST

Yesterday we published an article that delivered two videos, one of which was extremely powerful. I hope most, if not all of you actually watched the first video in its entirety.

One topic of great concern that was slightly touched upon was the beef between the Council and the Executive referencing the Finance Director position. I would be doing you an injustice if I didn't also mention the beef between the County Attorney position as well.

Look Folks, I'm a very busy man as most of you know. I got up at 3:00 this morning to review that video myself as it did not become available till late yesterday. These issues are some of the most serious issues I have ever experienced in my lifetime when it comes to Wicomico County.

According to this Council, we have no attorney or finance director, which means the County is literally crippled. Most business cannot be done while this beef continues. As one Council Member stated, this has been going on for TWO YEARS. This crap needs to end and we've already been through one Council President, now we have another and this crap continues.

As one public commenter sated, we can take the million additional dollars gifted by this Council to the Public Library and move those funds to more serious and pressing issues desperately needed in the States Attorneys Office, case close. Screw the Drag Queen Reading crap and move those funds to them instead.

In the mean time, contact whomever necessary to pass final judgment on weather or not the county attorney and finance director are legal or not, period. The DRAMA needs to end immediately.

What I also found interesting from this meeting is that I personally approached the County Executive several months ago about possibly becoming a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County. His reply was, you're the first person to request this. I am so pleased local citizens are coming together for this request but I must inform you, this is only an honorary request. In other words, (and Sheriff Mike Lewis is well aware) we can create such legislation but the reality is that we MUST follow State guidelines. If our representatives in Annapolis create legislation against such a position we MUST follow and that goes for Sheriff Mike Lewis enforcing their demands.

Now Mike can scream at the top of the mountain, he can even resign after pounding his chest but let me assure all of you the only thing Mike will gain from such is his first step into his next job and that will be to run for political office. It's a grandstanding position IF he doesn't expose the TRUE outcome of Annapolis/State legislation.

As for the main part of this meeting, well Folks, I told you so well in advance. Well ahead of ANY local media source. In fact we broke the news on all of the topics at hand in that video. Mayor Jake Day and Police Chief Barbara Duncan need to resign immediately. Between the major issues with Jake's wife and the fact that they conveniently made that sting for TWO pills OFF school grounds and never took the word of other students and the extent of what allegedly did happen on school grounds just makes us sick. The extent of what the public does not know about just how serious this mater actually created for one student truly pisses me off. I'm refraining from that exposure because I don't want to create any further damage to this individual. Just know that she, (Jake's wife)  created a lot more damage then you know.

As for the Salisbury Police Officers, I can tell you that what they did personally affects my own household. We are retaining the best attorney on the Shore as the charges in our particular case were illegal and flat out wrong. I exposed this major flaw several years ago to a Judge, (on the record in court) and I was told that nothing could be changed because of a plea deal. We have already received a letter from the States Attorneys Office referencing this mater and here's what I want ALL of you to understand. We will be going after the City of Salisbury as we strongly feel that this was in RETALIATION of Salisbury News, (me personally) and the City will pay the price for such retaliation. There is NO question the charges were wrong and illegal. These Officers are sh!t and deserve everything they get in the end. People served and are serving years in jail for felonies that were not felonies. I'll leave it at that and we will see the outcome after our lawsuit is finalized.

These are deep and serious issues Folks. The lawsuits will be massive and as I've stated before, this could take up to ten years to get to the bottom of thousands of cases. It will cost taxpayers MILLIONS of dollars, hence why I am demanding their resignation. Let me explain one last issue to prove how crooked your Police Chief is. If you'll recall back in the day the alleged phone spoof by then Mayor Ireton. The phone call originated in Delaware and was received in Delaware. According to Chief Duncan's own records this is a known FACT. She decided to create an investigation within the SPD yet this was NOT at all in her jurisdiction. Her goal was to ACT as if this issue was resolved to save face for her BOSS, Mayor Ireton. YOUR tax dollars were spent to halt EVERY single case in house and have every single detective instead investigate that alleged phone spoof.

So yes, I now have a stake in this corruption and while some of it is personally embarrassing, I'm at least being honest and forthcoming. "You cannot fix something you are not aware of". I live by that rule and always have. It's amazing to me how so many people involved in all of this since 1997 were made aware, (not once but several times) yet they never FIXED the problem. Several people will go down for this corruption and UNFORTUNATELY the taxpayers will ultimately pay the price financially for their corruption!
