Why processed food may cause bowel cancer

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 09:00 PM PST

Common additives used in every day foods including bread, margarine and sweets may be behind the huge rise in bowel cancer, scientists claim.

Emulsifiers, which are added to most processed foods to aid texture and extend their shelf life, alter gut bacteria.

Experts fear the additives may be creating higher amounts of bad bacteria, disrupting the healthy balance within the gut.

This alteration causes inflammation within the intestine which provides tumours with a habitable environment to grow in, new research suggests.

Student, Auto Loans Hit New All Time High Of $2.5 Trillion As Consumer Credit Jumps By $19 Billion

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 08:00 PM PST

The Fed's latest consumer credit report revealed that in September, overall household credit rose by a greater than expected $19.3 billion, above the $18 billion expected, if below last month's near-record $26.8 billion.

There were no major surprises in the components of overall credit, with revolving, credit-card debt rising by $4.2 billion, in line with the increase observed in recent months.

The ongoing increase in revolving debt, means the total amount of credit card debt outstanding has nearly caught up with the $1.02 trillion peak reached during the credit bubble.

Communities struggle with Muslims' arrival

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 07:00 PM PST

ATLANTA - Masjid Al-Mu'minun, a mosque in south Atlanta, is one of the few that play the call to prayer over external speakers, letting the sound drift through the neighborhood. Ahmed Najee-ullah, a leader in the congregation, said neighbors set their watches by it.

"We are in those parts of the African-American community where a lot of people wouldn't venture and the communities that we're in appreciate us being there," he said. "They have this perception that we represent the best in them."

Najee-ullah is one of many black Americans who converted to Islam during the height of the civil rights movement in the 1960s and '70s. He said mosques are welcomed as beacons of stability in many black neighborhoods.

Things have changed in the decades since Masjid Al-Mu'minun opened in the early '80s. As the U.S. Muslim population grows, communities are seeking to establish Islamic institutions such as mosques, schools and cemeteries in otherwise homogenous suburban and rural areas.

Psychologists identify why certain songs get stuck in your head

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 05:30 PM PST

If you ever find yourself singing along to a pop song for hours on end, you know how difficult it can be to get a catchy tune out of your head.

Now, psychologists believe they have figured out exactly why certain songs tend to stick in our heads more than others. The phenomenon is called involuntary musical imagery (INMI) — more commonly known as "earworms."

"Earworms are an extremely common phenomenon and an example of spontaneous cognition," the study's lead author, Kelly Jakubowski, PhD, of Durham University in the U.K., told CBS News. "Psychologists know that humans spend up to 40 percent of our days engaging in spontaneous cognition and are starting to try to understand why our brains spend so much time thinking thoughts unrelated to our present task and how such thoughts might be useful."

The research, published in the academic journal Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and the Art, found that earworms are usually faster tunes with a fairly generic and easy-to-remember melody. They also tend to have some additional unique characteristics that set them apart from other songs.

Emergency Departments a 'Dumping Ground' for Psych Patients

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 05:00 PM PST

LAS VEGAS – Dwindling mental health resources are turning the nation's emergency departments (EDs) into a "dumping ground" for psychiatric emergencies, including those involving children.

Results of a poll of more than 1700 emergency physicians conducted by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) reveals that almost one quarter of ED physicians (21%) reported they have psychiatric patients waiting in the ED for 2 to 5 days for in-patient beds.

In addition, more than half (52%) of respondents reported that the mental health system in their communities had worsened during the past year.

These "extremely troubling" findings reflect the experience of Rebecca Parker, MD, an emergency physician at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, Illinois, who is the incoming president of the ACEP.

"Psychiatric patients wait in the emergency department for hours and even days for a bed, which delays the psychiatric care they so desperately need. It also leads to delays in care and diminished resources for other emergency patients. The emergency department has become the dumping ground for these vulnerable patients who have been abandoned by every other part of the healthcare system," Dr Parker said in a press release.

Print Newspapers Are Dead? Not After Historic Elections

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 04:30 PM PST

NEW YORK (AP) — Print newspapers may be disappearing like the home telephone, but not after Election Day.

Remembering the frenzy for old-fashioned papers the morning after Barack Obama's historic win in 2008, newspapers are printing extra copies and setting up temporary retail stands this year, regardless of whether the nation elects the first woman or reality TV star as president. The Los Angeles Times is also selling a commemorative printing-press plate of the front page.

Many people now rely on Facebook and apps for news, but a screenshot doesn't have quite the same romance as a newspaper's front page.

"We like to hold on to things that remind us of the experiences we've had," like campaign buttons, theater programs or shells from a visit to the beach, said Naomi Baron, an American University professor who studies the interplay of language and technology.

Maryland AG sues Sojourner-Douglass College to account for or repay $400,000

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 04:00 PM PST

Maryland's Attorney General has sued Sojourner-Douglass College to account for or repay about $400,000 in state grants that the school, which closed last year, allegedly had not used for authorized purposes.

Attorney General Brian E. Frosh's office, which filed suit in Baltimore City Circuit Court, is seeking full documentation of how the college spent three grants awarded to its nursing program, Frosh said in a statement Friday. Each grant required Sojourner-Douglass to report back to the state on actual amounts spent, and to return any unused funds, the office said.

The suit alleges that the college failed to file all the necessary reports for the three grants, which totaled $2,138,460.

For one grant, which extended over five years, Sojourner-Douglass notified the state it wanted to terminate the final year, but it did not give back any unspent funds, according to the suit. Reports for a second grant showed the college did not spent all the funds, but did not return the extra money, the suit says. And for the third grant, the college did not file a report or account for how funds were spent for its final year, according to the Attorney General's complaint.

"Any state grant funds not used for its intended purpose must be returned," Frosh said. "The State of Maryland is rightfully owed the unspent and undocumented funds the college has not used."

DOWNTOWN SHOPPING IN SNOW HILL, MD

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 03:30 PM PST

On our recent day trip to Snow Hill, MD, we were pleasantly surprised by just how much the town has to offer! In our first article on the town, we provided some fun facts on the town's history. More recently, we compared Shad Landing and Milburn Landing in the Pocomoke River State Park for the outdoorsmen on The Shore. However, we cannot forget about the shopping enthusiasts out there. In this department, Snow Hill also, does not disappoint! Read below for more information on Shopping in Snow Hill, MD.

Walking through downtown Snow Hill, the streets are lined with art galleries and shops. If you're a fan of high end, one-of-a-kind pieces of art, there is something for you. If you prefer rustic decor and wall art, then you sure won't be disappointed. And, if you prefer vintage pieces and antiques, the town has plenty of antique stores to browse. As we walked along, we popped our heads in a few of the stores to say "hi" and learn more. All of the shop owners were so nice and more than happy to share their stories with us:

It's no secret that the ShoreBread team loves a good cup of coffee so our first stop was to The Daily Brew Coffeehouse. Having only been open for a few months, it was easy to see that the spot had quickly become quite popular. The attendant behind the counter shared that the cafe was initially only going to serve breakfast but grew in popularity so rapidly, that they had to immediately add a lunch menu. The coffeehouse serves up fantastic sandwiches and baked goods. You can check them out here on Facebook.

Pat Buchanan: The Country Will Not Be United If Hillary Wins

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 03:00 PM PST

Conservative commentator Pat Buchanan discussed Sunday on New York AM 970 radio's "The Cats Roundtable" what a Hillary Clinton presidency with a Republican Congress would look like.

According to Buchanan, the country would be divided if Clinton gets elected president.

He told host John Catsimatidis,"If Hillary wins, she's going to move to the left. But the country will not be united because the Republicans will really go into the stall — the defense."

Trick Or Treat?

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 03:00 PM PST

This reminds me of an old Barrie Tilghman move, relocating a polling place at the last minute. As we reported earlier today, many residents received their voter registration cards telling them this was their polling location, it was not. My guess, most of the registered voters in this district are Republicans.

College Park Refunds Hundreds of Erroneous Citations

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 02:30 PM PST

WJLA has reported that the City of College Park issued 685 erroneous speed camera citations which will now need to be refunded.

Motorists had received citations in September from a speed camera located on Baltimore Avenue (rt 1) in College Park for violating the 25mph speed limit. However the speed camera was in fact located before the 25mph speed limit sign and was actually within the 30mph zone.

College Park initially agreed to refund 5 citations from motorists who had complained about the citations. However two weeks after being contacted by a reporter from WJLA, the city agreed to refund 685 tickets.

Justice Department Files Brief to Address Automatic Suspensions of Driver’s Licenses for Failure to Pay Court Debt

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 01:30 PM PST

The Justice Department filed a statement of interest today in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia addressing the constitutionality of state policies that automatically suspend the driver's licenses of those who fail to pay court fines or fees. The statement of interest was filed in Stinnie et al. v. Holcomb, a class action brought by four individuals whose driver's licenses were suspended because they could not afford to pay fines, fees and costs assessed by Virginia courts.

The statement of interest advances the United States' position that suspending a driver's license is unconstitutional if it is done without providing due process and without assessing whether the individual's failure to pay was willful or the result of an inability to pay. As the Supreme Court has affirmed, the Constitution prohibits punishing a person because of his or her poverty. The United States' brief explains that the defendant's alleged "practice of automatically suspending the driver's license of any person who fails to pay outstanding court debt—without inquiring into ability to pay—violates that constitutional principle." Without taking into account an individual's ability to pay, the practice results in indigent defendants having their driver's licenses suspended because they cannot afford fines and fees, while defendants who can afford to pay do not. The brief argues that, if the facts as alleged by plaintiffs are true, such practice violates the due process and equal protection clauses of the 14th Amendment.

In Stinnie v. Holcomb, the plaintiffs allege that their driver's licenses were indefinitely suspended because they did not pay court fines and costs that they could not afford. They further allege that 900,000 people in Virginia, or one in six drivers, have had their licenses suspended for failure to pay court debt. The department's statement of interest in this case rests on a fundamental principle, developed in a long line of Supreme Court cases, "that conditioning access or outcomes in the justice system solely on a person's ability to pay violates the Fourteenth Amendment." The brief also explains that a driver's license is a constitutionally protected interest under clear Supreme Court precedent and that it cannot be suspended under the circumstances permitted in Virginia without adequate notice and a meaningful opportunity to be heard first.

"People depend on driver's licenses to get to work, access health care and provide for their families – and so when their license is suspended for reasons that do not relate to public safety, it unnecessarily disrupts lives and harms communities," said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta, head of the Civil Rights Division. "This brief advances the department's robust efforts to prevent unlawful practices that punish poverty at every stage of the justice system and that trap vulnerable residents in cycles of debt from court fines and fees."

"The Constitution prohibits punishing a person for their poverty," said Director Lisa Foster of the Office for Access to Justice. "Yet suspending a person's driver's license when they are unable to pay court debt does just that. And it's also counterproductive. How can a person pay their fines and fees if they lose their job because they can't drive to work?"

"Driver's licenses permit individuals to work and contribute to society in positive ways," said U.S. Attorney John P. Fishwick Jr. of the Western District of Virginia. "It makes no sense to suspend this privilege because a person is poor."

In recent years, the department has taken several steps to address the unequal treatment of the poor in the justice system. In March 2015, the Civil Rights Division addressed a range of harmful practices in the enforcement of fines and fees, including the suspension of driver's licenses to coerce payment, in its investigation of Ferguson, Missouri. In March 2016, the division and the Office for Access to Justice sent a Dear Colleague Letter to state courts clarifying the constitutional limits on coercing payment of court debt, including through license suspensions.

Plaintiffs in Stinnie v. Holcomb filed their complaint in federal court in July. The defendant is the commissioner of the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. In October, the state's Office of the Attorney General filed a motion to dismiss the case. In its filing, the United States does not take a position on the factual accuracy of the plaintiffs' claims, but instead addresses the appropriate legal framework for analyzing their claims.

Pew Research Center reveals more American's are deemed 'Middle Class'

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 01:00 PM PST

It's becoming harder to stay in America's middle class and, according to the Pew Research Center, more are falling out of the category.

In 2015, middle-income Americans no longer made up the majority of the people in the nation.

Across all 50 states, the percentage of 'middle-class' households, those making between 67 percent and 200 percent of the state's median income shrunk between 2000 and 2013.

With the election looming, the struggles of middle-class American families and growing income inequality have risen to the top of the national agenda

But what does it take to be in that category?

How much does just 1 slot machine make for Md.?

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 12:30 PM PST

WASHINGTON — Maryland's five existing casinos generated about $95.5 million in revenue for the state in October, up 0.8 percent from a year ago. But all that casino revenue is apparently generated just a few hundred dollars at a time.

Monthly data from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission showed that at Maryland Live! Casino in Arundel Mills, the casino that generates the most revenue for the state, gross gaming revenue produced by each slot machine averaged $271.60 per day.

Maryland Live! also has about 4,000 slot machines in house, so even a couple of hundred dollars in revenue per machine per day adds up.

There are also more than 200 table games at Maryland Live!, including blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat and a poker room. Banked (played against the dealer) and unbanked (played against other players) table games generated almost $5,000 per day per table in October.

Voting Issues: Some Trump Voters Reporting Ballots Switching To Clinton

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 12:22 PM PST

CLINTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Today is Election Day and for the most part, voting has been smooth.

Many areas are already seeing long lines with some officials saying they wouldn't be surprised if voter turnout topped 80 percent.

However, there have been some scattered issues where voters are encountering problems.

"Every time I would push a candidate for the Republican party, it would come up for the Democratic candidate," said voter David Drane.

Goodwin: Obama promised to unite us but after 8 years leaves us more divided than ever

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 12:00 PM PST

So this is how Hope & Change ends. With the FBI in turmoil, with surging anti-police violence, with fears of voter fraud and foreign hacking, with a sluggish economy, with a terror warning and with two unpopular presidential candidates tearing at each other like wolves.

Heckuva job, Barack Obama!

The 44th president made history by being elected, but leaves behind a nation on the verge of a crack-up. He flatters himself by insisting his tenure has been a roaring success, but the public mood tells a different story.

Obama promised to unite America, but exits amidst far greater divisions. It is telling that he has stopped portraying himself as a uniter and, like Jimmy Carter, blames the public.

Carter saw malaise, Obama sees bitter clingers, racists and xenophobes. While Obama's lectures convey disappointment in his fellow Americans, it never occurs to him that he is a disappointment to them.

Scratched screws led Eastern Shore police to $107,000 worth of cocaine inside car

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 11:30 AM PST

Federal agents knew Michael Mattos was supposed to be bringing 1½ kilos of cocaine from New York to the Eastern Shore of Virginia, but they couldn't find it during a traffic stop earlier this year in Accomack County.

One, Mattos' buyer was cooperating with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Two, a drug dog alerted to the presence of narcotics in Mattos' SUV and his girlfriend's rental van.

And three, state police found a hidden – albeit empty – compartment inside the SUV.

They still couldn't find the drugs, though.

Trump claims Michigan lead ahead of final campaign stop

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 11:00 AM PST

Donald Trump claimed Monday night that he is leading in the traditionally blue state of Michigan, ahead of the final rally of the GOP presidential nominee's campaign.

At a rally in Scranton, Pa., Trump knocked Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for making last-minute stops in Michigan in the final stretch of the race, and said he's been talking about the concerns of the auto industry for years.

He also trumpeted his lead in the state, though Clinton leads every poll with the exception one released Monday by the Trafalgar Group that showed the real estate mogul narrowly ahead, by 2 points. Clinton leads four other November polls from the state by 4 points or more, and had a 3.6 point lead in the RealClearPolitics state average.

"I started telling and talking about [how] your car business is being stolen from you," Trump said Monday night in Scranton. "I've been saying it for year and years and years and Michigan now agrees, we're leading in Michigan."

"And when I heard that Crooked Hillary is going there tonight, she had to," he continued. "When I heard, I figured I have nothing to do tonight so I'll go there tonight and give it the last word."

WIKILEAKS: Campaign Manager Says 'Clinton Had Little Consideration For Ethics'

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 10:00 AM PST

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has "little consideration for ethics," according to Robby Mook, her campaign manager.

Mook's comment was included in a devastating list he compiled of problems associated with Clinton's decision to appoint a longtime friend to her campaign after he helped her raise $72 million for the U.S. Expo at the 2010 Shanghai World's Fair.

The comment — "When soliciting contributions, Clinton had little consideration for ethics" — appeared in an attachment to a March 11, 2015, email made public Sunday by WikiLeaks in its latest release of materials hacked from Clinton national campaign chairman John Podesta's Gmail account.

Mook questioned the appointment of Jose Villarreal as an officer in the campaign, telling Podesta that he "found a potential flag about Jose Villarreal" and that "it looks like he's snared up in the conflict of interest stuff at State" and "there's a real argument here that he was at the nexus of foundation/state issues."

Lynne Patton: African-Americans Will ‘Finally Vote Republican’

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 09:53 AM PST

Lynne Patton, vice president of the Eric Trump Foundation, writes that black voters are flocking to presidential candidate Donald Trump much more than previous Republicans because of the Democrats' "broken promises."

From The Hill:

No racial group has suffered more from illegal immigration than Black America. Yet the question remains: Will large numbers of African-Americans finally vote Republican and help Donald Trump build his wall and rebuild America? In our opinion, the answer is a resounding yes.

Blacks represent 31 percent of the population in Georgia, 22 percent in North Carolina, 20 percent in Virginia, 16 percent in Florida, 14 percent in Michigan, 12 percent in Ohio, 11 percent in Pennsylvania, and 10 percent in Nevada. These are critical swing states where the black vote could very well turn out to be the swing vote.

At 15 percent (IBD/TIPP), Donald Trump has nearly double — some polls place him at triple — the African-American support of the last two Republican nominees for President combined..

Police said her son Michael Grace Jr. and two other people tried to rob a Pizza Hut in Charlotte, North Carolina, after midnight Sunday. A restaurant employee used his personal handgun to fatally shoot Grace Jr., the station said; the two other people got away.

Why Hillary is too evil for voters to comprehend

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 09:23 AM PST

Bestselling author: Many decent Americans' naïveté blinds them to Clinton sociopathy

A plurality of American voters – tens of millions – may be about to elect Hillary Clinton, a candidate widely described as the most corrupt person ever to run for the U.S. presidency, preceded by over three decades of wall-to-wall scandals, sleaze, corruption and outright criminality, including an ongoing FBI investigation into the wildly corrupt Clinton Foundation. How is this possible?

That's the question veteran journalist and WND Managing Editor David Kupelian asked – and answered – late last week while guest-hosting the "The Jesse Lee Peterson Radio Show."

Could it be, Kupelian wondered aloud, that Bill and Hillary Clinton are so sociopathic that the average American can't even comprehend their dark motivations, since they don't harbor such impulses or feelings within themselves?

"I don't think people get criminality," said Kupelian, an award-winning journalist and best-selling author of several books on evil, including "The Marketing of Evil," "How Evil Works" and, most recently, "The Snapping of the American Mind."

Bill and Hillary’s sleazy road to riches

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 09:15 AM PST

If there were still any doubt, the latest WikiLeaks disclosure makes it undeniable: Everything we've heard about Bill and Hillary Clinton's sleazy drive to enrich themselves is true.

In a way, we have daughter Chelsea to thank for the revelation.

It was her suspicion that her father's cronies were using their Clinton Foundation connections to "hustle business" for themselves that led to an in-house legal review.

And in a 2011 memo to the review team, former presidential aide Doug Band openly boasted about how he'd raised millions for the foundation from his business clients — and even more for Bill Clinton personally.

In fact, Band's 13-page memo actually described the arrangement he'd set up as "Bill Clinton Inc." — "dedicating myself" to helping the Clintons use their government service to feather their own nest.

Hillary Clinton Issue

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 09:07 AM PST

For nine years I have written about Barack Obama's ineligibility to possess the office of President of the United States. He has used lies, disception and even silence to avoid having his ineligibility exposed. Truth has no place in his defense. Now, we are seeing a similar situation unfolded in the person of Hillary Clinton.

Nineteen months after the shameful debacle in Benghazi in which the U. S. Ambassador and three others were slaughtered Hillary Clinton when testifying as to any personal responsibility on her part for their deaths, insulted her questioner by claiming the past nineteen months made the issue now irrelevant. Irrelevant? Since when, have American lives become subject to murderous termination when a Secretary of State simply chooses not to act on calls for assistance which may be able to save their lives.

Another example of Hillary Clinton's non-concern for the safety of fellow Americans -- without notifying the Government she had an email operation installed in her home secretly. This was against the law, and when her secrecy was later exposed, lied by claiming it was only used for personal transmissions which in no way would endanger Goverment security -- a bald-faced lie when it was later identified as having been used to include Government classified emails which might have endangered our Nation's security. She then claimed she might have been mistaken. This was no mistake. She duped the Nation, was caught and lied her way out of conviction with the help of a subservient FBI.

Hillary Clinton also derided Donald Trump for verbally speaking about his possible treatment of women, yet she never mentioned her husband's actual physical mistreatment of women. There is a tremendous difference between the thoughts of one and the actual actions of the other.

Hillary Clinton constantly speaks of Donald Trump's low regard for women, yet he employs more women at high salaries and positions than she could ever imagine.

Hillary Clinton praised Planned Parenthood often, yet during one Presidential debate, she omitted any mention of the millions of children being killed, many even up to the moment of birth. Repeatedly, when Donald Trump mentioned them, her silence was deafening -- SHADES OF OBAMA.

In conclusion when Donald Trump decried the inflow of illegal foreigners (not vetted,) the overall media representatives omitted the word "illegal" when quoting him. To vilify Donald Trump she echoed their omission. I trust this letter may help others understand why my vote will not be for Hillary Clinton.

When cheaters are caught red-handed

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 09:00 AM PST

Gaming the political system does not sit well with most Americans

Americans have always been for "fair play" and against cheating. It's rooted in our heritage.

When pro athletes are caught using steroids or tilting the odds, the fans are not amused. It's why "Deflategate" was such a big deal. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was fined and suspended for four games this season over improper inflation of footballs in a 2015 playoff game.

In 2008, baseball fan and fashion designer Marc Ecko underscored his own disdain for cheating in a big way. After bidding $752,467 at auction for the 756th home run ball hit by Barry Bonds that shattered the record of 755 held by Hank Aaron, Mr. Ecko conducted an online poll to determine the ball's fate.

Fans had three options: Donate the ball to the Baseball Hall of Fame as is; put it into the Hall with an asterisk, since Bonds was suspected of using steroids, or shoot it to the moon. Almost half of 10 million voters urged him to place an asterisk on the ball. So Mr. Ecko did, using a laser.

JULIAN ASSANGE: ‘Here Is What Will Happen On Election Day’

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 08:45 AM PST

BOOM. GOES. THE. DYNAMITE! This is why he is waiting until Election Day…

In a speed-reading miracle, FBI Director James Comey and his agents somehow reviewed around 650,000 emails in only a few days. It is a miracle that should go into the Guinness Book of World Records, right?

Or, perhaps the system is rigged, and corruption from the top down, including the Department of Justice, is trying to prevent the truth from coming out.

Most Americans, and most of the world, for that matter, believe that the justice system is corrupt.

Julian Assange shares that belief and he has a plan for what to do about it on Election Day. The FBI may sit on the truth, but Assange and WikiLeaks will not.

The Mainstream Media has been quiet on the damning information in the WikiLeaks database so far. No surprise.

The Clinton Campaign has tried to tie Assange, and Donald Trump, to the Russian Government. That particular lie has not resonated well with anyone.

Franklin Graham: Best Election Choice for Christians ‘Not Difficult to Figure Out’

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 08:37 AM PST

Celebrated evangelical pastor Franklin Graham has declared that the best choice for President in Tuesday's elections "isn't difficult to figure out if you are a Christian," in evident reference to Republican candidate Donald Trump.

"There's two different pictures and two different visions for America," Graham said on Monday. "The Democratic Party has a vision, Hillary Clinton has a vision, Donald Trump has a totally different vision for this nation with the Republican Party. This isn't difficult to figure out if you are a Christian."

The Rev Graham, son of renowned evangelist Billy Graham, acknowledged that for many, voting for Trump isn't easy, while insisting that it is nonetheless the better choice and that he is a "changed man."

"You may have to hold your nose and vote," Graham said. "I have people that say, 'Well I don't like Donald Trump, I don't like what he says.' Well I don't like what he said either, I promise I don't like it. But those are things that he said 11 years ago, not something that he said today."

"I think Donald Trump has changed," Graham added. "I think God is working on his heart and in his life. But people have to make up their own mind."

If your polling place is listed as Culver Rd, please call the Board of Elections to confirm your correct location.

It is also reported that there are no signs for Republican candidates around the Nanticoke Rd. location (lots of D signs)... signs for both parties are at the Culver Rd location, which is not an actual polling place.

The real story behind Hillary's reckless failure to protect classified information

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 08:15 AM PST

With the Clinton campaign now openly gloating over Sunday's FBI announcement, I remain disheartened that the national media is missing the real story: the truly Marie Antoinette-like manner in which Mrs. Clinton discharged national security responsibilities other than her duty to keep classified information off an unsecure personal server.

Antoinette, as you may recall, was the 18th century French monarch deposed and executed for living an opulent lifestyle while her people starved. I am not suggesting that the same fate befall Mrs. Clinton. But, like Ms. Antoinette's public displays of disdain for her subjects, Mrs. Clinton's decision to jeopardize national security by using a homebrew email server while Secretary of State is only the tip of the iceberg.

I reviewed all 347 pages of the FBI's report on Mrs. Clinton through my lens as an attorney representing American service members, intelligence personnel, and diplomats accused of similar misconduct. In it, I found countless instances in which Mrs. Clinton and her team egregiously violated longstanding and well-publicized rules regarding the protection of classified information. These weren't exceptions or inadvertent mistakes like those made by most of my clients; they were willful and recurring acts of sheer arrogance that evidence a disdain for the rules the rest of us are expected to follow.

Philadelphia GOP: Dems Banning Republican Poll Watchers From Poll Sites Across City

PHILADELPHIA — Joseph Defelice, Philadelphia GOP chairman, says Democrats on the polling boards across the city are banning Republican poll watchers and minority inspectors from entering the poll sites.

"They're just not letting them inside. They're either poll watchers or minority inspectors. Minority inspectors are court appointed whereas poll watchers are mandated through the city to be inside that polling place," he told The Daily Caller.

"They're saying, 'We don't want you here. We don't have Republicans in here. We're full already. I don't know what that piece of paper is.' This happened in 2012. We made a big issue out of this."

"They're disenfranchising them. People are leaving and they're scared to come back and vote," Defelice said. "We've also heard multiple reports of people going into the booth with people multiple times without filling out assistance forms multiple times."

Wikileaks Election Day Special: Part 35 Of Podesta Emails Released

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 08:07 AM PST

Yesterday, when Wikileaks released its second for the day dump of Podesta emails, the so-called Part 34, we assumed that was it. We were wrong. Moments ago Wikileaks released an "election day special", dumping another 1,793 emails in Part 35 of its ongoing release, bringing the total to 58,375, and one which we can only assume is the definitive final release of Podesta emails, as it makes little sense to continue this dissemination after the election.

A quick skim of the emails reveals this interesting exchange from Podesta to Mills, in which he tells her to "think about" her raising her eyebrows when Podesta said he "liked working" with Obama.

King also suggested that the number of emails related to the FBI investigation may be larger than 650,000.

Hillary's World: How Clinton's Foreign Policy Has Destabilized Nearly Every Corner of the Globe

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 07:45 AM PST

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton – as senator, secretary of state, and active partner in the Clinton Foundation – has had the privilege of influencing major players in governments across the globe.

The result of her efforts has largely been the unfettered consolidation of autocratic power, instability (when not total collapse) in vulnerable states, and a global jihadist movement with its own Caliphate infiltrating some of the world's most strategic locations.

The above map shows the nations of the world Clinton's policies have destabilized and, below, an explanation of why each is labeled the way it is. This is meant to be a comprehensive list, though by no means complete: there are few nations in which an American secretary of state has no influence whatsoever.

Brazile Sent More Debate Questions To Clinton

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 07:37 AM PST

Democratic National Committee interim chairwoman Donna Brazile has already lost her contributor contract with CNN for leaking questions from a CNN town hall to the Clinton campaign. Monday night's WikiLeaks release of emails from the personal account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta reveals Brazile sent even more questions ahead of the event, one that went to Hillary Clinton, the other was asked of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

On the day before the event, Brazile sent the following under the heading "UNIONS."

Secretary Clinton, yesterday in St. Louis, you spoke at carpenters and others "who built this nation." Both you and Senator Sanders depend on big union support. President Obama pushed for a massive infrastructure bill that would mean millions of jobs for in this area. Yet many of these trade unions have locked out Blacks and other minorities for years. Will you call a meeting with them before November, and if you win, when you are president, to demand that the trade unions stop freezing Blacks and others from these good paying jobs?

The official transcript of the town hall on CNN's website has Roland Martin, one of the moderators, saying:

The Wall Street Journal first reported on donations from Common Good VA, McAuliffe's political action committee, to McCabe's Virginia state senate campaign in 2015. McCabe is the wife of Andrew McCabe, the FBI deputy director who helped in the investigation into Clinton's email practices.

McAuliffe contributed $467,500 to McCabe's campaign through his PAC, making her the third-largest recipient of contributions from McAuliffe in 2015. The Virginia Democratic Party provided an additional $207,788 to McCabe in the form of mailers, the Wall Street Journal noted.

"I Just Lost All Faith In Our Deeply Corrupt Legal System And In The Rule Of Law In The US"

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 07:15 AM PST

The FBI just gave Hillary Clinton the biggest gift in the history of presidential politics. Two days before the election the FBI has announced that they are ending their investigation into Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified information. After reviewing the emails that were found on electronic devices owned by Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner, FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to Congress telling them that "we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton." That means that there will be no indictment, and the path is now clear for Hillary Clinton to become the next president of the United States on Tuesday unless an election miracle happens.

These days it is unusual for a news story to hit me on a deeply emotional level, but this one sure did. When the FBI originally announced that they were renewing this investigation, it gave me a glimmer of hope that there may be a little bit of integrity left in our legal system.

But after yesterday's announcement I have lost all faith in our deeply corrupt system of justice. America has become a lawless nation, and the rule of law is completely dead in this country.

Yes, it is true that those of us in the general public do not know what was contained in those emails, and Director Comey saysthat nothing significant was found in them

The Navy can't fire its awesome new gun because the rounds cost nearly $1 million each

The US Navy can't fire its awesome new gun that can hit a target more than 70 miles away because the rounds are costing the service nearly a million bucks a piece.

Just a couple weeks after the Navy commissioned its most advanced warship, the USSZumwalt (DDG-1000), the service says it won't be buying any more of the guided precision munitions the ship's Advanced Gun Systems uses, called the Long Range Land-Attack Projectile (LRLAP).

The 155mm round is "the most accurate and longest-range guided projectile" in Navy history, according to Lockheed Martin. It's also one of the most expensive, with the price of each round costing roughly $800,000 to $1 million, for a total cost of around $2 billion if the service purchased its planned buy of 2,000 rounds, Sam LaGrone of USNI reported.

Cop Sues BLM leader YOUR PEOPLE BASHED MY SKULL

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 06:30 AM PST

Black Lives Matter leader DeRay McKesson incited a crowd of his supporters to go looting and to hurl chunks of concrete at a Baton Rouge cop ... according to the officer who's now suing.

The officer filed a federal lawsuit, as a John Doe, against McKesson for a BLM rally that went down July 9. According to the docs, a rally organized by McKesson was blocking streets, prompting the call for police to control the crowd.

The anonymous cop says he and his fellow officers were first pelted by full bottles, looted from a Circle K -- and when the water ran out, someone picked up a piece of concrete ... or a rock ... and chucked it. He says he was struck in the face and went down hard.

Nate Silver: Hillary Is ‘One State Away’ From Losing the Electoral College

Posted: 08 Nov 2016 06:00 AM PST

Sunday on ABC's "This Week," FiveThirtyEight's Nate Silver said Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton was one state away from losing the election.

Silver said, "We show a three-point lead nationally for Clinton, 2-1 favorite. The electoral college map is less solid for Clinton than it was for Obama four years ago, where four years ago we had Obama ahead in states totaling 320 some electoral votes. Clinton has 270 so one state away from potentially losing the Electoral College. Rather be in her shoes than Donald Trump, but it's not a terribly safe position."
