Workgroup on Collateral Consequences of Convictions to Hold Final Meeting on November 15

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 10:00 PM PST

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan's multi-agency workgroup to study the effects of incarceration on former inmates will hold its final meeting on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 12-3 PM in the Baltimore City Delegation Room, Room 145, House Office Building, 6 Bladen St., Annapolis, MD 21401. This meeting is open to the public.

The legal and regulatory barriers that ex-offenders face after their release from prison often make it difficult for them to find a job and become productive members of their communities. In December 2015, Governor Hogan issued a directive to create a workgroup to better understand and help alleviate these obstacles to re-entry. Chaired by Judge Alexander Williams, Jr., of the Center for Education, Justice & Ethics at the University of Maryland, the workgroup is made up of 14 members that include representatives from state agencies, nonprofit service agencies, and the university and business community. Provisions for the workgroup were also included in the Justice Reinvestment Act (Chapter 515 of 2016).

From September and October of 2016, the workgroup held stakeholder meetings to gain knowledge and insight about issues that individuals with a criminal record face when re-entering the community. The workgroup will submit a report with its findings and recommendations to Governor Hogan in December 2016.

If you have questions about the workgroup, please contact Madison Getty at madison.getty@maryland.gov or 410-697-9308.

Obamacare is close to death after Trump's election

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 09:00 PM PST

There is an overwhelming chance that the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, is facing its last few months of existence as we know it.

For the past few years, congressional Republicans have taken symbolic vote after symbolic vote to repeal Obamacare. And now, with control of the executive branch, these votes will probably become more than just a statement.

In a press conference Wednesday, House Speaker Paul Ryan said the ACA was an "unpopular law" and that Congress has already proven it could "repeal and replace" it.

Additionally, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that repealing the ACA was a priority for Republicans.

"It's pretty high on our agenda, as you know. I would be shocked if we didn't move forward and keep our commitment to the American people," McConnell said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Watch a supporter urge Hillary Clinton to 'sue the United States' over the outcome of the election

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 08:00 PM PST

While protesters flooded streets all over the country opposing Donald Trump's election victory, one man gave an impassioned plea for Hillary Clinton to contest the results.

Telling a CNN correspondent "I wanted Hillary to win more than anybody," the unidentified man launched into a lengthy appeal live on air Wednesday night.

"I need Hillary to stand up right now, and walk in and sue the United States of America," he said, insisting that the Democratic nominee won the popular vote.

During her concession speech earlier Wednesday, Clinton said "We must accept this result and look toward the future," adding that Trump deserves "a chance to lead."

The CNN reporter interrupted the man, saying "It looks like Donald Trump won fair and square," and asked the man if he thought the electoral college should be dissolved.

"Hillary had more votes," the man said. "More human beings voted for Hillary. Just count the votes."

Californians are calling for a 'Calexit' from the US — here's how a secession could work

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 07:00 PM PST

The Yes California Independence Campaign aims to put a referendum on a 2018 ballot that, if passed, would make California an independent country.

Far-fetched as it may sound, the plan started gathering steam after Tuesday night's surprising vote. The movement has an impressive backer in Shervin Pishevar, a well-known angel investor who offered to bankroll the campaign.

"As the sixth largest economy in the world, California is more economically powerful than France and has a population larger than Poland. Point by point, California compares and competes with countries, not just the 49 other states," Yes California wrote in a statement.

The Twitter user goes on to say "I did not see loading or unloading. There were even more buses than in pics. Quite near protests at right timing. Looks very planned. Every group Trump has possibly offended seemed too perfectly represented. The buses just blocks away," when responding to questions of its legitimacy.

Post-Election Depression: How to Cope

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:00 PM PST

After an election, it's common for people who backed the losing candidate to experience a period of depression and anxiety, but rebounding after this year's fractious presidential contest is likely to be tougher than most for many people, a top expert says.

"I've already had people call me about their reactions today. They are suffering from nausea, heart palpitations, and emotional reactions that include shock, severe sadness, and even fear," David Kessler tells Newsmax Health.

"It's almost like they've suffered a death or been in an accident," adds Kessler, a licensed psychotherapist.

While such reactions may seem extreme, Kessler says he's not surprised, given the nature of the 2016 campaign.

"This is very different than the kind of loss usually felt in a normal election, where you have candidates that are similar with minor differences. These were candidates that were on opposite ends of the pole," adds Kessler, a certified life coach who practices in Miami.

(Berlin, MD) – Maryland State Police investigators from the Berlin Barrack are investigating a fatal hit and run in Worcester County and are asking for public assistance.

The identity of the deceased victim is not being released at this time due to pending next of kin notification. The victim was found deceased, lying unresponsive in a grassy ravine between Maryland Route 707 and Route 50 in Worcester County.

At noon today, police received a 9-1-1 call from a motorist who had stopped to investigate what he thought was a dead deer. Upon his discovery, he immediately called state police at the Berlin Barrack.

Troopers immediately responded to the scene and initiated a death investigation. The preliminary CRASH team investigation indicates the victim may have been the result of a hit and run crash due to the physical evidence and debris left at the scene.

Tesla shows off SolarCity solar roofs for homes

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 04:00 PM PST

To Elon Musk it seems obvious: the future of energy is in solar.

The CEO of Tesla repeated this sentiment multiple times at a press event on Friday at Universal Studios, where he gave customers the first look at an integrated solar roofing solution that will combine Tesla and SolarCity technologies.

"[I'm] quite confident [that] over time, if it's done right, every roof will be solar," Musk said.

PC MAGAZINE NOVEMBER 2016

Surrounded on both sides by Hollywood sets, familiar to people from shows like the Desperate Housewives, Musk, along with executives from SolarCity, revealed the look of the solar roofs, which he promises will be more efficient and last longer than conventional roof tiles.

To the surprise of everyone gathered on the Universal lot, each of the four set homes had been outfitted with solar roofs, which are made up of glass tiles that are embedded with solar cells. They had been redone over the course of two weeks, and according to Musk, will probably be functional enough to run.

Bernie Sanders Doesn’t Rule Out A 2020 White House Run

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 03:30 PM PST

WASHINGTON (AP) — Bernie Sanders is leaving open the possibility of another presidential bid, saying in a Thursday interview that he wants to focus on helping the party rebuild its base after Donald Trump's victory.

"Four years is a long time from now," said the 75-year-old Vermont senator, noting that he faces re-election to the Senate in 2018. But he added: "We'll take one thing at a time, but I'm not ruling out anything."

Sanders gave voice to the frustration among many liberals in the aftermath of Trump's stunning triumph over Hillary Clinton. He told The Associated Press in a phone interview that millions of working-class voters' decision to back Trump was "an embarrassment" to the party and that Democrats must take a strong stand against the role of corporate interests in politics.

Giuliani: Obama Will Be 'One of Worst Presidents' If He Pardons Clinton

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 03:00 PM PST

Barack Obama will go down as "one of the worst presidents ever" if he pardons Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server to send and receive classified documents when she was secretary of state, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said.

Obama said Wednesday he has not ruled out a possible pardon for the unsuccessful Democratic presidential nominee.

But Giuliani, a campaign surrogate from now President-elect Donald Trump, told Fox News Channel's "O'Reilly Factor" on Wednesday if Obama issues Clinton a pardon, "Then he should also pardon [Kristian Saucier], who's spending a year in jail taking pictures of the submarine. And he should pardon [Gen. David] Petraeus, and he should pardon [Gen. James] Cartwright."

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — More than 2.5 million Marylanders cast their ballots in the presidential election.

While Hillary Clinton won the state by large numbers, some counties were close. Anne Arundel County, in particular, seems to mirror what we've seen nationwide.

It's true, in the race for the White House, Maryland is not considered a battleground. But when you look at the map, Maryland looks divided.

"Maryland is very, very much still a blue state," says Dr. Mileah Kromer, of Goucher College.

Sessions: 'Critical alert,' 817,740 illegals crossed last year

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 02:00 PM PST

In a bid to put the issue of illegal immigration back into the presidential debate, outspoken critic Sen. Jeff Sessions on Monday issued a "Critical Alert" warning of a potentially historic surge of over the border.

"We are simply overwhelmed," his statement said. In it he estimated the Fiscal Year 2016 illegal crossings at 817,740.

"There is a crisis at our southwest border — one that in many ways exceeds the crisis we saw just two years ago, one that further undermines the integrity of our immigration system, but one that the most of the media has elected to ignore," said Sessions, an advisor to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Sessions listed the new numbers and details of the surge of undocumented illegal immigrants arriving at U.S. Border Patrol stations or simply crossing over. Among them:

Speed limit lowered to 45 on Rt. 113

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 01:30 PM PST

Those with a degree of familiarity with the stretch of Route 113 between Snow Hill and Langmaid Road will need to readjust the cruise control as the State Highway Administration has lowered the speed limit in the work area to 45 m.p.h.

Speeding fines are doubled in the reduced speed zone.

Robert Rager, the district community liaison for the SHA, said the reduced speed requirement would last until the dualization of this stretch of road is complete at the end of 2017.

The newly-expanded stretch of road is expected to open to traffic in early 2018.

Two phases of the decades-old dualization work still remain, with Phase 4 being the 4.3-mile stretch between Five Mile Branch Road in the north to Public Landing Road to the south. It is expected to be complete and open to traffic by the end of 2019.

Report: Obama Has Not Ruled Out Pardoning Hillary

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 01:00 PM PST

President Barack Obama has not ruled out pardoning Hillary Clinton before he leaves office in early January despite her not being charged with a crime.

"The president has offered clemency to a substantial number of Americans who were previously serving time in federal prisons," White House press secretary Josh Earnest responded Wednesday when asked by reporters.

His comments were reported by The New York Post.

"And we didn't talk in advance about the president's plans to offer clemency to any of those individuals — and that's because we don't talk about the president's thinking, particularly with respect to any specific cases that may apply to pardons or commutations," Earnest said.

2016: Cost Per Vote

One of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's recurring campaign promises was that she would "work to curb the outsized influence of big money in American politics, shine a light on secret spending, and fight to make our democracy work for everyone – not just the wealthy and well-connected."

Wait … wasn't Clinton the definition of a bought-and-paid-for politician? Yes. She was.

And didn't the "outsized influence" of big money basically steal the Democratic presidential nomination away from Bernie Sanders? Yes, it did.

Voter turnout shows lack of enthusiasm for either party

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 11:30 AM PST

President-elect Donald Trump is creating an identity crisis for Democrats in Maryland, and across the country.

Voter turnout in Baltimore City, for example, is 17.5 percent lower than in the 2012 race for president. A number of African-Americans in particular didn't vote as expected.

According to political analysts, it means Democrats and Republicans have a lot of work to do because the turnout signals a big lack of enthusiasm from either party.

Long lines at the polls didn't mean a record turnout. The numbers show less interest in this presidential race than the one in 2012. Political analysts believe there are a number of reasons.

7 Harsh Realities Of Life Millennials Need To Understand

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 11:15 AM PST

Millennials.

They may not yet be the present, but they're certainly the future. These young, uninitiated minds will someday soon become our politicians, doctors, scientists, chefs, television producers, fashion designers, manufacturers, and, one would hope, the new proponents of liberty. But are they ready for it?

Time after time, particularly on college campuses, millennials have proven to be little more than entitled, spoiled, anti-intellectual brats who place far too much emphasis on feelings and nowhere near enough emphasis on critical thinking. To the millennial, words are cause for the creation of safe spaces, alternative ideas must be stifled, and anything they perceive to be a microaggression is enough to send them spiraling into a state of mental distress.

It's time millennials understood these 7 harsh realities of life so we don't end up with a generation of gutless adult babies running the show.

Letter: The Silent Majority Has Spoken

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 11:00 AM PST

Dear Editor,

Where were all the Donald Trump bumper stickers? Why didn't we see the yard signs as in past elections? Trump has been elected President by the silent majority. Why were his supporters so silent? Maybe they were too busy working hard to pay their mortgages and rising taxes and rising healthcare costs due to government interference.

Trump supporters didn't whine about inequality or so called "glass ceilings." We all know that had Hillary Clinton won, women would not have been getting higher pay and bigger promotions. Instead, women would be receiving paychecks with even more money extracted by Uncle Sam. For whatever she promised women, her goal was to exert more governmental control over ALL of us, which is quite the opposite of empowering women.

When Hillary took the role of the first unelected "Co-President" rather than graciously being The First Lady, she attempted to ram Mandatory Public Healthcare down our throats. But she failed. It was the next ELECTED President who implemented ObamaCare which turned out to be a costly, abysmal failure. President Obama's background working with the likes of Rahm Emanuel and the Pastor Jeremiah Wright, the racist preacher who actually used the words God Damn America from his pulpit, prepared him well to fit in with the Washington political machine which is corrupt to the core.

VA making a difference for those who served country

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 10:30 AM PST

Every year on Veterans Day, we reflect on the contributions and sacrifices of those men and women who have worn the uniform of this great nation. Veterans are part of a select group of American patriots. This is not my opinion; it a mathematical fact! At any given time, less than 1 percent of Americans serve in the U.S. military.

That means 99 percent of our fellow citizens rest comfortably at night, go about business without fear, and peacefully raise families because America's veterans were willing to endure extreme hardship, long separations from loved ones, to protect all of us.

I grew up in a traditional family that valued hard work, being a good neighbor, and keeping your word. My father was a veteran, and although he didn't talk much about his service, he made certain we always showed veterans proper respect. My father believed one of the exceptional gifts America offers is the gift of opportunity; we could become anything if we worked hard enough.

My father taught me this amazing gift was protected by the men and women who made enormous sacrifices for their families, neighbors and even people they didn't know. They didn't do it for money or fame; they did it because it was the right thing to do. My father taught me, and I believe, veterans deserve our respect and unending gratitude.

In 1993, I chose to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs for those reasons. It was my opportunity to repay the debt owed veterans for the sacrifices they made to protect our way of life. Even though my dad is gone, I hope I make him proud every day of my service to those values we hold dear. My dad received care at a VA clinic in Florida and in at one in Delmarva.

Grandparents' health being put at risk as almost half get ill from babysitting

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 10:00 AM PST

The perils of grandparents babysitting have been revealed in a survey, which found nearly half of them caught a cold from a sick grandchild.

There are now 10 million grandmothers and grandfathers providing regular childcare for their families each week, more than ever before, but this is leading to a potential health crisis - with their immune systems vulnerable to colds.

And with colds leading to more serious illnesses, like chest infections or pneumonia, a fifth of grandparents say it is their biggest concern when it comes to babysitting (21 per cent).

In an attempt to escape falling ill themselves, 16 per cent admit they avoid their grandchildren when they are sick.

Chelsea Clinton's Husband Used Clinton Foundation To Raise Cash For His Hedge Fund

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 09:45 AM PST

That Teneo's Doug Band was not a fan of Chelsea Clinton, with whom he had a long-running feud as a result of her ongoing accusations that he was taking advantage of Bill Clinton's presence to enrich himself (even though thanks to a leaked memo we now know for a fact just how Teneo was working as a pass through, pay-for-play vehicle to enrich both Clinton and Band), we have known for a while (and reported on again just moments ago, when in one of the latest Podesta emails, he accused her of using Foundation cash to pay for her wedding).

We now learn that Band was also not a fan of Chelsea's husband, Marc Mezvinsky, co-founder of the hedge fund Eaglevale Partners, which had received substantial seed funding from Goldman Sachs, and which suffered massive losses with its wrong-way bet on Greek bonds.

In an email from January 18, 2012, Doug Band tells John Podesta and Cheryl Mills that "Marc mez[vinsky] had an idea to put together a poker night for the foundation to raise money. His raising money for his own fund hasn't been going well and he has cvc [Chelsea Clinton] making some calls for him to get mtgs with some clinton people."

What Band was accusing "Mez" of doing is that since he was unable to raise cash for his hedge fund on his own, he came looking for the help of his wife, Chelsea, who is Vice Chairman of the Foundation bearing her last name.

Band then says that "Marc has invited several potential investors and a few current business ones to the poker night. I assume all are contributing to the foundation, which of course isn't the point. What is the point is that he is doing precisely what heaccused me of doing as the entire plan of his has been to use this for his business which he is."

Guilty Plea For Stun Gun At Trump Rally

SNOW HILL — A Delmar man, arrested last April on various charges after producing a stun gun at a protest following Donald Trump's visit to Stephen Decatur High School, pleaded guilty last week to disorderly conduct and was fined and placed on probation.

On April 20, Trump visited Berlin for a political rally attended by thousands, including supporters, protesters and hundred more curiosity seekers. While Trump was speaking inside the school, thousands gathered in areas around Decatur including the parking lot of the old Harley Davidson business across the street.

The protests, while somewhat chippy, were by and large peaceful although an incident later in the evening after the rally threatened to turn violent. After the rally was over, an Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) officer who was part of an local allied law enforcement presence on hand to provide security, heard what he believed to be a stun gun being activated in the large crowd in the Harley Davidson parking lot.

New Jersey Moves to Take Control of Atlantic City

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 09:15 AM PST

The State of New Jersey moved on Wednesday to take control of Atlantic City, having lost patience with the financially troubled gambling resort's inability to pay its bills.

Over the objections of Atlantic City's elected officials, the Local Finance Board in Trenton unanimously approved a five-year state takeover to stave off a bankruptcy filing by the city. The decision would give the head of the finance board the power to sell municipal assets, renegotiate union contracts and fire city employees.

"It's an incredible responsibility, one that I've lost sleep over the last few weeks," Timothy Cunningham, the head of the finance board, told reporters, according to The Associated Press. "I'm sure I'm going to lose sleep tonight."

The day after, both Hillary Clinton and President Obama acknowledged the defeat and called for Americans to come together in support of the new President.

Virginia Tech, however, seems to think it's students will need some extra hugs to help with that.

An email was allegedly sent out to all Tech students on Wednesday afternoon by a staff member with the title "Support & Community Today." Shared on Twitter by Virginia State Senator Mark Obenshain, the email offered locations to community centers for students who might not be able to handle their emotions.

Voters in Florida and North Dakota also approved medical marijuana measures. More than 60 percent of Florida voters backed a constitutional amendment making medical marijuana available for residents with debilitating illnesses whose doctors advised cannabis use.

North Dakota approved dispensing small amounts of marijuana to qualified patients registered with the state, or allowing those who reside far from dispensaries to legally grow their own.

You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism.
You created "us" when you supported "death" for the unborn, even partial-birth.
You created "us" when you decided to push education reform on our children.
You created "us" when you chose to vote for progressive ideals.
You created "us" when you attacked our traditions and way of life.
You created "us" when you failed to protect our borders and then looked away.
You created "us" when you refused to call Islamic extremist by its name.
You created "us" when you let our government get out of control.
You created "us" the silent majority....
And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.
And we did it with ballots, not bullets.

Sheriff’s Office Seeks Dismissal Of OC Police Brutality Lawsuit

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 07:30 AM PST

OCEAN CITY — The Worcester County Sheriff's Office, named as co-defendants in a $1 million civil suit filed in July by a Virginia woman arrested while pregnant during a melee on the beach in 2013, this week filed a motion to dismiss the case on several grounds including the vagueness by which its unnamed deputies are attached to the case.

In July, nearly three years to the day since the 2013 incident, Dalima Palmer, now 27, of Dumfries, Va., filed suit in U.S. District Court against the Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) officer who allegedly tackled her to the ground while she was nine-months pregnant during a brawl on the beach. Also named in the suit is the OCPD, Chief Ross Buzzuro, two unnamed OCPD officers who allegedly denied her medical attention while she was in police custody and the Maryland State Police.

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office is named as a defendant because two of its officers, named only as John Doe, may or may not have allegedly remained in Palmer's hospital room against her wishes while she gave birth via C-section to her child as a result of the incident. Oddly, the complaint states the two officers who remained in Palmer's room while she was giving birth could have been Worcester County Sheriff's deputies, Maryland State Police officers or even OCPD officers. Because of the vagueness of that section of the complaint, and for other reasons including its immunity from being sued, the Worcester County Sheriff's Office this week filed a motion to dismiss the case against it.

You Want Unity, GO TO WORK NOW!

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 07:14 AM PST

Just because President Obama and Hillary Clinton said, (once) the country needs to come together and unite, I will NOT allow them to play the game of sitting back watching America get destroyed from within and say, we already said something.

Mr. Obama is still our President and he needs to take very serious action against these protesters. No excuses!

Peaceful protests are one thing but destroying property and violence against others should be considered hate crimes and people need to go to jail.

I'm not a law enforcement officer but we cannot have another Baltimore.

What do you think, how should this be addressed and by whom?

Trump Asks Democrats to Offer ‘To Do List’ Instead of Hate

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 07:00 AM PST

President-elect Donald Trump expressed his frustrations Wednesday with the anger directed at him from the left since his upset victory over Hillary Clinton, calling on Democrats to offer a "to do list" instead of hate.

"I'm still waiting for the democrats 'to do list.' Any democrat, just tweet me… yet I'm only getting hate from the left," tweeted Mr. Trump.

Despite a pledge to unite the country and work with all Americans to help veterans, rebuild inner cities and strengthen foreign relations, Mr. Trump has been assailed by liberal groups with threats to obstruct his presidency.,

Breaking News from Canada

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:56 AM PST

The flood of Trump-fearing American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week. The Republican presidential campaign is prompting an exodus among left-leaning Americans who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, pay taxes, and live according to the Constitution.

Canadian border residents say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, liberal arts majors, global-warming activists, and "green" energy proponents crossing their fields at night.

"I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn," said southern Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota. "He was cold, exhausted and hungry, and begged me for a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn't have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?"

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush Limbaugh across the fields, but they just stuck their fingers in their ears and kept coming. Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals just south of the border, pack them into electric cars, and drive them across the border, where they are simply left to fend for themselves after the battery dies.

"A lot of these people are not prepared for our rugged conditions," an Alberta border patrolman said. "I found one carload without a single bottle of Perrier water, or any gemelli with shrimp and arugula. All they had was a nice little Napa Valley cabernet and some kale chips. When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing that they fear persecution from Trump high-hairers.

Rumors are circulating about plans being made to build re-education camps where liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer, study the Constitution, and find jobs that actually contribute to the economy.
In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans in blue-hair wig disguises, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney to prove that they were alive in the '50s.

"If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious about their age," an official said.
Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage, are buying up all the Barbara Streisand CD's, and are overloading the internet while downloading jazzercise apps to their cell phones.

"I really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them," an Ottawa resident said. "After all, how many art-history majors does one country need?

The Nuclear Option[*]: Welcome, Democrats, to the Revolution

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:45 AM PST

NEW YORK — Yes, Hillary, this revolution is real.

Tens of millions of voters cast ballots Tuesday for Hillary Clinton. Except for a relative handful of wealthy and connected people, nobody actually wanted to vote for her.

She is the most corrupt, compromised, dishonest, self-dealing, delusional and unlikeable candidate perhaps to ever run for president.

I used to wonder why President Obama would want to hand his legacy over to such fake and felonious monster. Then I realized that he doesn't really care about anything but himself and for as long as she is around, people will miss him.

Anyway, Mrs. Clinton's campaign was about everything and anything and, in the end, nothing.

Drug testing welfare recipients starts Monday

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:37 AM PST

MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) -- Wisconsin will start drug testing welfare recipients starting Monday. Governor Scott Walker signed off on the rule, as-written by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. The rule requires testing able-bodied adults seeking certain benefits.

Walker issued a statement today saying, "Employers across the state frequently tell me they have good-paying jobs available in high-demand fields, but need their workers to be drug-free. These important entitlement reforms will help more people find family-supporting jobs, moving them from government dependence to true independence."

Here Is What Donald Trump Wants To Do In His First 100 Days

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:37 AM PST

At the end of October, Donald Trump spoke in Gettysburg, Pa., and released a plan for his first 100 days in office.

The plan (below) outlines three main areas of focus: cleaning up Washington, including by imposing term limits on Congress; protecting American workers; and restoring rule of law. He also laid out his plan for working with Congress to introduce 10 pieces of legislation that would repeal Obamacare, fund the construction of a wall at the Southern border (with a provision that Mexico would reimburse the U.S.), encourage infrastructure investment, rebuild military bases, promote school choice and more.

Could Hillary Clinton Still Win The Election? There’s One More Chance

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:30 AM PST

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — After Donald Trump was proclaimed the winner of the 2016 presidential election, there have been peaceful protests sprouting up in pockets across the country.

Now, an online petition has been started asking the electoral college to, when they meet on December 19, withhold their support for Trump, something granted to them in the Constitution.

The foundation for the petition is the fact that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, something that Trump himself has complained about in the past.

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:23 AM PST

More than half of Americans—52.5 percent—say they cannot afford to spend more than $100 a month on health insurance premiums, according to a poll from HealthPocket, a technology company that compares health plans.

The group asked survey respondents at the beginning of open enrollment what was the highest monthly premium they could afford to pay for health insurance in 2017.

More than half of respondents said $100 a month or less, while 15.9 percent said they could afford to spend $200 a month.

Just over 11 percent said they could afford $300 a month, 5.5 percent said they could afford $400 a month, and 4.8 percent said they could spend $500 a month, while and 9.8 percent said they could afford $500 or more.

"Double-digit rate increases for people purchasing insurance in the Affordable Care Act market has renewed questions regarding what people can afford to pay for coverage," the survey states.

MEDIA MATTERS MEDIA HATERS

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:15 AM PST

The media is obviously now enjoying finding another way to make the President-Elect Donald J Trump look inadequate to the job. They now say, and Van Jones in particular, that Trump should be addressing the protesters and rioters. The protesters and rioters they themselves agitated over the course of several months of slander, libel and lies. The mission of the left, and this includes nearly all media, was to discredit the President-Elect. Their lies, as Joseph Goebbels rightly said during the Nazi rise to power, repeated often became public truth.

President-Elect Donald J Trump, is such a racist and sexist that his campaign spokesperson is a black woman. He's such a sexist that he has helped women shatter the glass ceiling in construction and politics. Kellyanne Conway is the first woman to be the campaign manager of a winning presidential candidate. The lunatic left, being lied to for nearly a century by-the-way, is out of touch with reality. In fact, Trump fired MEN because they weren't getting the job done! Sexist!!!

The media has itself to blame for the violence. The made-up story of Muslims being attacked by Trump supporters is yet their newest lie. They will stop at nothing until they finish the destruction of America. These pundits are consistent in their on-going attack of Trump, his supporters and those who believe in the Constitution in general. They have 1st amendment rights but we have choice as well. Turn them off. Destroy their ratings. Boycott CNN and MSNBC in particular. Here's why. Fewer eyeballs watching their lies, fewer advertising dollars.

Your correspondent readily admits to watching more CNN than any other network. My reason is to keep an eye on their misconduct and unethical reporting. Mr. Trump isn't perfect, but when they criticize even the way he breathes, it's time to tune them out. They and the other allegedly mainstream media need to be tuned out. Let them know that the masses do not approve of their tactics. Force them to fairness by tuning them out.

I assure you that in the coming months, I will make fair commentaries. If Mr. Trump is doing something to hurt our country, I will say so. If the Democrats do something good or well, I will say so. But frankly, right now the media, the Democrats and the weak citizens in the streets who are so poorly informed, deserve to be exposed. They are entitled to protest. But they are entitled also to be judged for what they are; media and Democrat pawns exposed by their hatred of Trump supporters, Mr. Trump, and America. Shame on the media. Shame on them.

" The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection. The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph."

How do you feel about the media? Please post your comments below.

Sharpton: 'We Are Not Going Down Without a Fight'

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:07 AM PST

Al Sharpton warned that "all that many of us have fought for all our lives is at stake" following Donald Trump's victory in the presidential election and vowed that "we are not going down without a fight and Donald Trump needs to know that."

Speaking Wednesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Sharpton said "This is not Bernie Sanders populism. This is George Wallace populism that he's doing. And I think that many people have got to call it the way it is."

Sharpton said that Trump purposely ran a campaign based on racial fears and divisiveness, adding "He knew exactly what he was doing. He was playing to the worst elements."

Ben Carson Says He'll Help Trump Find a Replacement to Obamacare

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 06:00 AM PST

Ben Carson said he would help President-elect Donald Trump construct a replacement to Obamacare.

"I think the replacement must obviously come first and it must be something that is very appealing and easy to understand," he told Politico Wednesday. "And then, only then, would you dismantle what's in place."

Carson declined to say whether he was being considered for a Cabinet position, but Politicoreports that his name is being floated as a possible candidate for positions such as secretary of health and human services or secretary of education.

Trump campaigned on replacing Obamacare with a simpler, cheaper alternative that has less government regulation.

GLOBAL FREEZING: 15-year ICE AGE to hit in just 4 years as the sun prepares to 'HIBERNATE'

Posted: 11 Nov 2016 02:00 AM PST

A 15-YEAR long mini ice age could be due to hit the Northern hemisphere in just FOUR years as the sun prepares for 'hibernation' - triggering a barrage of cataclysmic events.

A team of experts have warned that huge seismic events, including volcanic eruptions, plunging global temperatures and destabilisation of the Earth's crust will become more common after worrying changes to the surface of the Sun were recorded.

It could take up to 15 years for solar activity to return to normal with extreme weather and freezing temperatures continuing until 2035.

The warning will infuriate environmental campaigners who argue by 2030 the world faces increased sea levels and flooding due to glacial melt at the poles.

Solar activity, measured by the appearance of sun spots, has been declining at a greater rate than at any other time in history, it has emerged.

The Sun is now without spots for the first time in five years after 21 days of minimal activity were observed through the course of 2016.

How sweet it is!

To God Goes the Glory!

God answered the nation's prayers and has given us a chance to return this country to the Constitutional Republic gifted to us by the Founding Fathers. Let's continue to pray that our President-elect will surround himself with wise people who love America and will help him Make America Great Again. The hard working men and women of America, many Democrats and Independents, along with Republicans are finally sick of the media elite, the Hollywood elite and the political establishment elite. As Americans, we just want our country back from a ruling class of poohbahs and potentates that crosses party lines and has gotten fat on our backs. Crony capitalism, dependency, debt, swelling bureaucracy, shrinking military, open borders, globalism, attacks on life, religious liberty, property rights, and second amendment rights were rejected. And voters chose Donald Trump who vowed to be a champion for the "forgotten Americans."

For the first time since 1928 Republicans will control the Presidency the Senate and the House. President Donald Trump will have an historic opportunity to deliver on the commitments that he made, to those who have been left behind by the progressive agenda.

Though we were celebrating the Trump victory last night, we were disappointed about our own Congressional races. Maryland (because of those who thrive from federal government salaries and contracts, and those who depend on government handouts) remains out of step with the movement that swept the nation. Despite great and credible candidates who worked tirelessly, we will still just send our one Republican, Andy Harris, to Congress. Andy, who strongly supported Trump will be an important voice for us with the new Administration.

A special thank you to Kathy Szeliga, who gave up nearly a year of her life and waged a tireless battle to capture the open Senate seat. Kathy articulated our conservative values and helped to keep the momentum that elected Larry Hogan moving forward. She will continue to be that strong voice in the Maryland House of Delegates.

It was heartening to hear Mark Plaster last night announce his determination to win his Congressional seat in 2018. I expect his next campaign will begin after a brief recharging of his batteries! All of our candidates campaigned hard for conservative values, and all Marylanders are better off with the competition of ideas they offered.

Yes, there are still tensions within the GOP. But as CNN's Jake Tapper noted last night, "We've been talking. . . about what's going to happen to the Republican Party, and the bloodletting, and the infighting, and who's going to lead the Republican Party and all that. Again, completely wrong. It's the Democratic Party that's going to have this fight." Republicans, let's unite and enjoy the opportunity ahead!
