Trump Whistleblower Good, Media Whistleblower Bad

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 05:30 PM PST

Nobody circles the wagons like the Leftmedia. As every mainstream-media outlet trumpets the latest churn on the Democrats' impeachment charade — the first version over supposed "collusion" and the second fueled by the complaint from a "whistleblower" whose identity the Leftmedia assiduously protects — two networks were busy colluding to punish their own whistleblower.

First, how much have CBS and ABC contributed to the impeachment churn? The Wall Street Journal's James Freeman asked and answered: "In the 50 days since news consumers were told that a federal whistleblower was expressing his disapproval of a presidential phone call, CBS News has aired or published more than 100 stories on President Donald Trump and Ukraine. Counting stories from local affiliates, the number rises above 200. That's according to the Dow Jones Factiva news archive. But CBS hasn't come close to the wall-to-wall coverage offered by rival ABC News. A Factiva search of ABC stories about Mr. Trump and Ukraine yields 687 results for the last 50 days. More than 300 of the ABC stories specifically include the term 'whistleblower.'"

Well, some whistleblowers are more equal than others.

Ivanka Trump dismisses critics: ‘It’s all noise ... I’m pretty thick-skinned’

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 05:00 PM PST

Ivanka Trump hadn't even landed in Morocco this week to promote women's economic empowerment on behalf of President Trump before the social media sneers began.

"Ivanka Trump wants to be a queen so badly," mocked one tweet. After arriving Wednesday, another wrote with outrage, "So far she's done two outfit changes."

Ivanka, a regular on Twitter like her dad, only said, "Thank you to Her Royal Highness Lalla Meryem for a warm welcome to Morocco!"

More than any of her siblings, Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, are harshly mocked by critics, mostly because of their official, unpaid positions in the West Wing as top advisers. But unlike Ivanka's two combative brothers, Donald Jr. and Eric, they don't take the bait.

Chaos at Popeyes as workers fight over claims staff are bootlegging chicken sandwiches out the back door

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 04:30 PM PST

Disturbing footage emerged of workers fighting at Popeyes amid accusations that staff were selling the outlet's famous chicken sandwiches out the back door.

Meanwhile an elderly female customer was hospitalized after she was body slammed in the parking lot at a Popeyes in Tennessee.

The altercations are the latest in a series of disturbing incidents, including a fatal stabbing, to have occurred at Popeyes restaurants amid the return of its popular chicken sandwich, which has sparked chaos nationwide.

In the first video, staff are seen fighting behind the counter at an unidentified outlet after a worker was caught selling chicken sandwiches on the side.

One female worker can be heard saying: 'You f*****g hit me b***h, I got hit.' One male worker is seen with his arm over another female worker and it's unclear if he has her in a headlock or if he is trying to assist her.

“I Caught the Swamp. I Caught Them All. Let’s See What Happens!” – President Trump Drops a Bombshell and Communications Director Dan Scavino Teases Major Development

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 03:30 PM PST

For months there were rumblings that Inspector General Horowitz was going to release his report anytime on his investigation of FISA Court abuse during the 2016 election and into 2017.
And for months that news was delayed.

In May Attorney General Bill Barr appointed John Durham to review the origins of the Russia inquiry and the FBI's surveillance activities. Just two weeks ago the Attorney General announced the investigation was now a criminal probe. And we have heard that the Durham criminal probe may have been going on for some time.

On Thursday President Trump's online communication director Dan Scavino posted this ominous tweet – "TICK_TOCK".

New York City offers accused criminals baseball tickets and gift cards to show up at court

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 03:00 PM PST

New York City announced a new perks program that aims to get accused criminals to show up at their scheduled court hearings.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a budget deal last spring that included a $12 million plan to release non-violent suspects as part of a bail-reform policy which outlawed cash bail. Under the policy, suspects will not be detained and will be allowed to stay outside jail while awaiting their court dates.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that he would be adding an incentive program to the bail-reform policy that would reward released suspects for showing up at their court dates. Some of the perks include baseball tickets, movie passes, and gift cards to businesses like Applebee's, Target, and McDonald's.

A representative for de Blasio touted the policy, saying, "It will continue to use what are nationally recognized as highly effective ways to make sure folks return to court and not have the wasteful, time-consuming, costly warranting process that would otherwise be initiated should someone not return to court."

Trump: Despite Democrats' impeachment investigation, 'we're kicking their ass'

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 02:30 PM PST

President Trump claimed that his administration and the Republican Party are besting the Democrats despite the current impeachment investigation.

The president made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the South Lawn prior to his departure to Georgia on Friday morning.

"[People] really became angry because it's a hoax," Trump stated. "And I'll tell you, the whistleblower, I call him the fake whistleblower. He gave a fake report of my phone call. And when I did it, all of a sudden when I released that call, all of a sudden, everybody disappeared. The whistleblower disappeared. Whatever happened to the second whistleblower? Why isn't the first whistleblower going to testify anymore? You know why? Because everything he wrote in that report almost was a lie because he made a phony phone call."

The Real Reasons Republicans Lost Virginia

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 02:00 PM PST

Following the Virginia election debacle last Tuesday, Republican voters in the Old Dominion might feel tempted to despair of dreaming about a red Virginia ever again. Many seem disposed to wait out President Trump's term under the impression that Republicans cannot win under Trump. However, the Virginia Republican Party failed to field viable candidates, use the political resources available to them, or articulate any sort of stance on electoral issues. Democrats did not win Virginia, nor did a massive turn in national sentiment doom the Republican Party; the Virginia State GOP ruined its own chances.

Perhaps most startling, the Virginia Republican Party failed to run candidates in ten out of forty (the 1st, 2nd, 18th, 29th, 30th, 31st, 34th, 35th, 36th, and 37th), fully one-quarter of Virginia senatorial races. In contrast, the Democrats contested all races but one, the 23rd district. A party cannot win elections without candidates.

The Republican Party also failed to contest twenty-three out of one hundred delegate races (the 11th, 32nd, 35th, 36th, 37th, 38th, 45th, 46th, 47th, 48th, 53rd, 57th, 67th, 69th, 70th, 74th, 77th, 79th, 86th, 89th, 90th, 92nd, and 95th districts), again about one-fourth. While the Republican Party lost nearly a quarter of the House of Delegates seats by default, the Democrats contested all but seven races (the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 9th, 17th, 19th, and 78th districts).

Just 29% Of Americans Support Allowing Biological Males On Girls’ Sports Teams. A Democratic Bill Would Require It

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 01:30 PM PST

A poll shows that less than a third of Americans say biological males who identify as transgender should be allowed to compete on girls' sports teams, but a Democratic bill would mandate the practice in public schools.

A majority of Americans, 51%, oppose allowing biologically male athletes who identify as transgender onto girls' sports teams, according to a Rasmussen survey released Friday. Fifty-seven percent of black Americans, a key voting demographic for Democrats, told Rasmussen they oppose male athletes in girls' sports.

Just 29% of Americans said they favor allowing male athletes onto girls' athletic teams, while another 20% said they aren't sure.

White House sees blueprint for stonewalling Democrats after subpoena win by former aide

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 01:00 PM PST

As House Democrats prepare for public impeachment hearings next week, White House officials say there is an overlooked ray of good news after Democrats dropped a subpoena rather than risk an unfavorable ruling and a loss of time.

Charles Kupperman, deputy to former national security adviser John Bolton, on Wednesday challenged a subpoena to appear privately before the House Intelligence Committee. Democrats dropped the request rather than wait for a Dec. 10 court hearing.

A day later, Bolton did not appear for a scheduled voluntary deposition. He also is represented by Charles Cooper, Kupperman's attorney.

"Now they won't touch Bolton because Kupperman and Bolton have the same lawyer, who is playing hardball," a White House official told the Washington Examiner.

The White House official said the standoff was a "huge loss" for Democrats, who backed down out of fear they would "lose in a very public way."

Obstruction: Schiff Coaches Witness to Ignore Some GOP Questions in Deposition

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 12:30 PM PST

House impeachment probe witness and the White House's top Ukraine expert, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, with the help of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), was evasive in answering questions from Republicans during the colonel's closed-door deposition late last month.

Schiff, the leader of the impeachment inquiry, repeatedly interrupted the Republicans, ordering the witness not to answer questions, according to the transcripts of Vindman's October 23 testimony unveiled Friday.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Schiff and Vindman's lawyer prevented the witness from answering several questions, including whom he spoke to after listening to the July 25 call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky that triggered the impeachment efforts.

The Democrats' potential obstructions of justice by ordering Vindman to leave out details while testifying under oath suggest that the White House National Security Council (NSC) official focused on Ukraine may have shared information about the call with the so-called "whistleblower."

Socialism All About Inclusivity and Kindness, These Students Say

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 12:00 PM PST

The word "socialism" has left behind its past of breadlines and beatings and has come to mean something like "kindness" for some students at Georgetown University, The Daily Signal found in campus interviews.

Many millennials would agree with the positive feelings these university students have for socialism.

According to a new YouGov survey commissioned by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, over 50% of millennials say they are "somewhat likely" to vote for a socialist candidate. Another 20% say they are "extremely likely" to vote for a socialist.

"Socialism means multiple people coming together for the benefit of the most instead of the benefit of those contributing the most," sophomore Darby Bupp, 19, a government major from Piqua, Ohio, told The Daily Signal.

In over 40 nations that have practiced it, socialism inflicted loss of individual freedom, severe shortages of basic resources and consumer items, and untold suffering.

For students such as these, though, socialism means a better and fairer future, vaguely defined.

That 100 million people were starved, shot, and slaughtered by socialist governments from the 1917 Russian Revolution to the close of the 20th century is a fact that bears little relation to their "socialism."

Virginia’s Democratic Government Announced It Will Begin Confiscating Guns From Law-Abiding Gun Owners

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 11:50 AM PST

Virginia's gun owners will now be forced to stay on their toes as its Democratic government has announced it's going to take the war on guns into overdrive within the state.
According to the Washington Post, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam announced during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday that now that Virginia's state government is under complete Democrat control for the first time in a generation, they're going to take the heavy stick they were just given and begin beating gun owners over the head with it:
Regarding gun control, he referred to eight "common-sense" bills he proposed for the special legislative session he convened in July, in the aftermath of a mass shooting in Virginia Beach on May 31. Republicans who controlled the General Assembly shut down that session after 90 minutes — sending all of the bills to the crime commission and promising to reconvene after the election.
Northam mentioned universal background checks, banning the sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, restoring the law that limits purchases to one gun a month, and a red flag law that would empower a court to temporarily remove a gun from a person deemed to be a risk to himself or others.
That's definitely bad, but it's far from the worst part. Reporters asked Northam if he was going to begin taking "assault weapons" from gun owners, and Northam's answer was straight out of an Orwell novel.
"That's something I'm working [on] with our secretary of public safety," he said. "I'll work with the gun violence activists, and we'll work [on] that. I don't have a definitive plan today."

Maxine Waters Praises Schiff, Rants: Trump ‘Pack Up Tanning Bed and Leave’

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 11:30 AM PST

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) on Friday went on a frenzied rant in a series of tweets, praising House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) and encouraging President Trump to "pack up his tanning bed & leave."

The California lawmaker, who called for Trump's impeachment long before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) caved and announced the launch of an inquiry, went on a frenzied rant on Twitter Friday evening, accusing the GOP of "scrambling" and "lying" and falsely assessing that Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland proved the existence of "quid pro quo." She also gave a "shoutout" to Schiff, and suggested that Trump "pack up his tanning bed & leave."

"GOP scrambling & can't get their lies straight. First they say no quid pro quo when Trump w/held mil. aid from Ukraine for dirt on Biden. Then Mulvaney says this happens all the time & "get over it." Lies getting entangled," she began.

Montgomery county 1st in U.S. to ban hairstyle-based discrimination

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 11:00 AM PST

A Maryland county has become the first in the United States to ban discrimination based on hairstyle — following similar laws passed this year in other municipalities.

Montgomery County passed the ban Wednesday, by a vote of 30-19, following outcry from African-American and Latino residents who say they have experienced discrimination based on their hair.

The Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair, or CROWN, law makes it illegal to discriminate against a person with a "protective hairstyle" — like those "necessitated by, or resulting from, the immutable characteristics of a hair texture associated with race."

Under the law, violators could be fined up to $5,000.

‘You’re going to remove yourself’: Transcript reveals how Gaetz was ejected from impeachment hearing

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 09:30 AM PST

A transcript of a former National Security Council official's closed-door testimony revealed how a Republican lawmaker was ejected from the impeachment hearing.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, was present when Fiona Hill began her deposition on Oct. 14. The Republican is not a member of the three committees leading the impeachment investigation into President Trump's conduct toward Ukraine and was noticed by House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff a few minutes into the hearing.

"Excuse me, could we suspend?" Schiff said, according to the transcript released Friday. "Do we have any members here that are not members of the three committees authorized to be present? Mr. Gaetz, you're not permitted to be in the room."

"I'm on the Judiciary Committee," Gaetz said.

"Judiciary Committee is not a part of this hearing," Schiff responded.

After Montgomery County Reportedly Backtracks on Sanctuary Policy, They Release a Child Molester

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 09:00 AM PST

Montgomery County, Maryland has just put a child molester who has no right to be in the country back on the streets, according to ABC 7 News. The report comes days after Montgomery County reportedly reversed some of its sanctuary policies that have helped turn the county into a safe haven for criminal illegal aliens.

For months, Townhall has covered a growing number of illegal alien rapists flocking to the county to avoid federal immigration authorities. Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich signed the disastrous sanctuary policy into law earlier this year.

While the county has been criticized for allowing criminal aliens to run amuck, the county has, in turn, denounced its critics as "neo-Nazi sympathizers." After so many violent crimes, it appears even the county has now decided to rollback some of its harmful policies. But the rollback announced earlier this week apparently doesn't go far enough.

Women donations for Trump surge, No. 1 in suburbs

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 08:30 AM PST

Despite a crush of stories that suggest he is losing suburbs largely due to women deserting him, President Trump is seeing a surge in donations from women and is tops in receiving big checks from suburban women.

He has the most big-dollar suburban women donors, 10,534, and has received the most from them, $8,293,135, than any of the Democrats, according to a study from OpenSecrets.org, part of the Center for Responsive Politics.

Overall, he ranks fifth in donations from women at $15.1 million. The leader is Sen. Bernie Sanders at $17.1 million, according to the group.

Vindman transcript highlights Schiff efforts to block GOP questioning about whistleblower

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 08:00 AM PST

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff took steps to block Republicans from questioning Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman about leaks damaging to President Trump during his closed-door testimony.

The California Democrat blocked GOP lawmakers from questioning Vindman about his conversations with other members of the intelligence community following a July 10 meeting with Ukraine government officials and after Vindman listened in on a July 25 call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

At the July 10 meeting, Vindman reported, the Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, told the Ukrainians they must first pledge to investigate actions by former Vice President Joe Biden to protect the Burisma gas company and also allegations that Democrats interfered in the 2016 elections with the help of Ukraine.

Rep. Jim Jordan asked Vindman if, following the meeting, he "related the Sondland comments … with any other individual." Republicans are interested in determining who provided the information to the whistleblower, who did not listen to the July 25 call.

'I begged, I pleaded': ABC News Epstein whistleblower speaks out about getting fired from CBS News

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 07:30 AM PST

The woman who allegedly obtained a video of ABC News' Amy Robach admitting that her network spiked her story about a Jeffrey Epstein accuser spoke out on Friday.

On Tuesday, Project Veritas released a video of Amy Robach discussing the information she received years earlier from Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre on a hot mic. The reporter can be heard expressing her frustration surrounding ABC News's refusal to air the interview and claimed that the network made the decision after receiving threats from Buckingham Palace after they had found out Prince Andrew was implicated in the story.

She also alleged that Epstein, the convicted sex offender who was found dead in his jail cell in August, may have been murdered, which has been a frequent conspiracy theory since his death.

Today, (and tomorrow) we open at 11 AM and close at 2 AM. Come join us for some incredible food and enjoy all the football games, (NFL & College). On Sundays we have three bonfires going and it's always a great time sitting outside watching the games on the big screen.

Mississippi Food Stamp Work Requirements Save State Taxpayers $93 Million Every Year

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 07:00 AM PST

Reinstating work requirements for food stamp recipients in Mississippi reduced enrollment and led to higher wages among those weaned off government dependency, finds a new study released on Friday from the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA).

The study from the Florida-based think tank found that after Mississippi reinstated work requirements for food stamps for able-bodied, childless adult recipients, the program saw a 72 percent decline in recipients among this group, saving Mississippi taxpayers almost $93 million each year after the measures were put in place in 2016.

The authors also found that those who benefited from the dignity of working instead of taking welfare flourished across 716 different industries and saw wages double in just one year off of government assistance.

Impeachment Witness Marie Yovanovitch Caught in Apparent Lying Under Oath

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 06:30 AM PST

Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who was fired by President Donald Trump in May, misled lawmakers in her testimony she gave as part of House Democrats' impeachment probe, according to a report.

Yovanovitch testified behind closed doors on October 11 that in mid-August, a Democrat House Foreign Affairs Committee staffer had reached out to her on her personal email with a request to come and talk to the committee about the circumstances of her departure.

She claimed that she received the email and alerted the State Department.

"So she emailed me. I alerted the State Department and, you know, asked them to handle the correspondence. And she emailed me again and said, you know, who should I be in touch with?" she said.

"It wasn't clear to me whether it was going to be whether this was a discussion with her, whether this was a discussion with other staffers, whether it was a deposition. I mean, it just didn't get that far, because I transferred that information to the State Department lawyers," she said.

When asked specifically what the staffer wanted to talk about, she said, "I think I think it was the circumstances of my departure, or maybe she just kept it more general and said to catch up, but I understood it as that."

Yovanovitch said she knew the staffer, who was a former State Department official who worked at the State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor.

Fox News's Tucker Carlson got a hold of the staffer's email to Yovanovitch — and her reply.

Maryland Officials Drop Sanctuary Policy After Illegal Alien Sex Crimes

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 06:00 AM PST

Officials in Montgomery County, Maryland have dropped a portion of their sanctuary policy — which had been shielding criminal illegal aliens from deportation — following a series of sex crimes allegedly committed by illegal aliens.

ABC 7 News's Kevin Lewis reports that Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich (D) has "quietly reversed" the county's sanctuary policy whereby agents with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency had been banned from entering secure locations of the county jail to properly take custody over illegal aliens charged with crimes.

Now, Montgomery County officials will allow ICE agents to place a detainer on criminal illegal aliens in their custody and schedule a date and time to pick up those suspects from certain areas of the county jail. Still, ICE agents remain banned from entering county-owned facilities such as libraries and police stations.

Minnesota Town Hikes Taxes to Deal with Mass Immigration Overwhelming Local Schools

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 05:00 AM PST

Taxpayers in the small town of Worthington, Minnesota hiked taxes to fund an expansion of their school district, since mass immigration has overwhelmed teachers, resources, and classrooms.

This week, Worthington taxpayers voted to approve an additional nearly $34 million in funds to expand the local school district, which has ballooned in class enrollment due to a massive influx of unchecked migration.

For years, Worthington taxpayers had repeatedly rejected providing more tax dollars to the school district — voting down the initiative five times. This time around, there was a major push from immigrant rights organizations to turn out the vote to get more funding.

The story of this small 13,000-resident community in middle America is the latest example of mass immigration's direct impact on school districts, quality of life issues, and the rights of residents to have a say over the issue.

Drain the Swamp and Reunite the Country

Posted: 09 Nov 2019 04:00 AM PST

Two Republican Senators, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee and Josh Hawley of Missouri, have a great idea: Move most of the federal government out of Washington, DC. That is, federal offices should be relocated to the nation that pays for them, so that top officials can get to know the people they are administering. It's hard to think of anything politically healthier than that.

Indeed, the Blackburn-Hawley idea is a way not only to drain the Beltway swamp; it's also a way to build up the national economy, including in those places where national and international trends — such as digitalization and globalization — have drained away dollars.

So that's why Blackburn and Hawley have just proposed the HIRE Act, short for Helping Infrastructure Restore the Economy. In this case, the "infrastructure" is the engine of federal spending, which would, of course, lead also to added roads, bridges, and other amenities, serving to accommodate the moved federal employees. The duo describe the purpose of the legislation this way:
