President TRUMP invited The Pope onto his yacht

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 09:00 PM PST

President Trump invited the Pope for lunch on his mega yacht.

The Pope accepted and during lunch a puff of wind

blew the  Pontiff's hat off, right into the water.

It floated off about 50 feet, then the wind died down
and it just floated in place.

The crew and the Secret Service were scrambling
to launch a boat to go get it, when Trump waved them off,
saying, "Never mind boys, I'll get it."

Then Donald climbed over the side of the yacht,
walked on the water to the hat, picked it up,
walked back on the water, climbed into the yacht,
and handed the Pope his hat.

The crew was speechless. The security team and
the Pope's entourage were speechless.

No one knew what to say, not even the Pope.

But that afternoon, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC reported:

  "TRUMP CAN'T SWIM"

This is also despite national mainstream media reporting negatively on the highly successful President Trump 92% of the time.

Non-Citizens to Stay on North Carolina Voter Rolls Before 2020 Election

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 07:30 PM PST

North Carolina's Democrat Gov. Roy Cooper vetoed legislation this week that would have purged self-admitted non-citizens from the state's voter rolls.

The plan, supported by the state's Republicans, would have allowed election officials to contact North Carolina residents who escaped jury duty by claiming they were not United States citizens. If those residents confirmed that they are non-citizens or did not respond within 30 days, they would be removed from the state's voter rolls.

Cooper told local media he vetoed the plan because it would have created "a high risk of voter harassment and intimidation and could discourage citizens from voting."

"Blocking legitimate voters from casting a ballot is a risk we cannot take when the law already prevents non-citizens from voting and has legitimate mechanisms to remove them from the rolls," Cooper said.

Stacey Abrams, the failed Democratic gubernatorial candidate from Georgia, told a University of Iowa audience she would be happy to run as a vice presidential candidate.

Abrams ended the rumors she was asked to run with Joe Biden if he was the nominee, but, according to the Daily Iowan, Abrams said she would be happy to be the running mate of DNC's nominee, whoever the candidate is.

"When I got the question [from reporters] I was, myself, contemplating my next steps… I'm not in the primary, but you can run as second in the general election, and I am happy to do so with the nominee. That is my answer," Abrams said

Troopers Arrest Lewes Woman for 6th Offense DUI-Lewes

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 06:00 PM PST

Lewes- The Delaware State Police have arrested a Lewes woman after she was found to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol for the 6th time.

The incident occurred on November 7, 2019 at approximately 9:37 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to an accident in the area of Conley Chapel Road south of Beaver Dam Road, Lewes. Upon arrival, Troopers discovered a dark gray GMC Sierra had been involved in a single vehicle crash where the vehicle traveled off the roadway and rolled over. Upon contact with the driver of the Sierra, 56-year-old Cheryl S. Surber, an odor of alcohol was detected and a DUI investigation ensued.

Surber was taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 7. A computer check revealed that Surber had five previous DUI convictions, making this her 6th arrest. Surber was charged with the following:

  • 6th Offense Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
  • Driving While Suspended or Revoked
She was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Delores Baylor Womens Correctional Institution on $7,000.00 cash only bond.

How Socialized Medicine Kills The Patient & Robs The Taxpayer

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 05:30 PM PST

When it comes to something as important as healthcare, the last thing anyone should want is for the entire system to become a government-run monopoly...

In fact, socialist healthcare is based almost entirely on deception.

It works this way:

  • ...patients usually pay nothing (or a minuscule fee) at the point of service, thereby forming the false impression that healthcare is "free."
  • Because it is "free," consumer demand for healthcare skyrockets...
  • ...doctors prescribe hordes of often unnecessary tests, because they are "free" to the patient...
...The costs of providing healthcare, including everything from nursing to ambulance services, inevitably go through the roof.

Scientists discover physical activity cuts heart disease risks by stemming unhealthy white blood cells that cause inflammation and clog arteries

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 05:00 PM PST

Exercising regularly could decrease inflammation and help protect against heart disease, a new study suggests.

In research conducted on mice, scientists from Massachusetts General Hospital looked at one group of rodents that ran on treadmills daily and one group that did not.

The mice that got exercise every night had lower levels of a type of immune system cell that can turn into white blood cells.

This lowered their risk of chronic inflammation, which contributes to the formation of plaques that block the arteries and can cause cardiovascular disease.

5.8 Million Individuals Off Food Stamps Under Trump

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 04:30 PM PST

More than 5.8 million individuals dropped off food stamps since President Donald Trump completed his first full month in office, according to the latest data released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The most recent USDA data shows that 5,896,383 people discontinued their participation in the nation's food stamp program— also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)— since February 2017 when Trump completed his first month as president.

Individual and household participation in SNAP had consistently declined overall since 2013 back when the Obama administration was in power, and enrollment in the program reached its highest point in U.S. history.

Food stamp enrollment plummeted after states passed reform measures to curb dependency on welfare, requiring food stamp recipients to work, volunteer, attend school, or receive job training for 20 hours per week.

‘Thin Blue Line’ flag supporters greet Hogan, Elrich in Montgomery Co.

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 04:00 PM PST

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich agree on one thing when it comes to the "Thin Blue Line" flag: Both say the symbol has been "misappropriated."

Hogan criticized Elrich for refusing a gift of the flag to a Montgomery County police station. Hogan, who has said the flag supports the work of police, remarked Thursday that the flag had been made into a controversial symbol, but that was "far-left nonsense."

Elrich's position is that the flag was appropriated by hate groups — that it went from being a symbol honoring police to a symbol of intimidation, "and I don't need people to think that's the flag we're flying, and that's my dilemma," he said.

But Elrich's rejection of the gifted flag to the 5th District police station should not be seen as a lack of support for police, he said. "I don't have anything against police officers — this wasn't meant as a slap at anybody," Elrich said.

Maryland's Broken Republican Party

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 03:00 PM PST

Hi All,

I want to thank everyone who supported my campaign, and to the people that voted for me (especially Joe). Like many of you, I am seriously concerned about the well being of Salisbury. Debt is my biggest concern (along with high crime). Progressives love to spend money, and many times on the wrong things. Jake has managed to raise Salisbury's debt 23.3% in less than 4 years and there is more debt to come before he takes off for Annapolis in 2 years to run for Lt. Governor. I will expect tax increases in the coming years and/or the water and sewage cost increases (40% of Salisbury's income comes from sewage and water).

I sent this letter (see below) to help wake up the GOP, but to no avail, this letter wasn't even answered. The Republican party is dead in MD. It's a real shame. BUT, look at the bright side we still have President Trump! Please vote in the national contest coming up in a year and vote TRUMP!

I will be at Carribean Joe's tomorrow (Saturday) at 5PM. Please come on down and let's have a few cold ones together.

God Speed to All,

Wayne King

Baltimore's Mayor hopes 'colder weather' will keep gang members inside

He said Police Commissioner Michael Harrison's plan is showing signs of working, and he says he's hopeful the cold winter will keep gang members inside and off the streets.

"As you know, it's like planting a flower. In the winter, it dies, and it comes back," he said. "I'm hoping with the colder weather, they will stay inside, watch TV and help kids with homework."

691,000 people moved out of California last year. Here's where they went.

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 01:30 PM PST

Does it feel like all your friends are moving out of state? It's because they are.

We've got more than goodbye parties and U-Haul shortages as evidence: Newly released census data shows approximately 691,000 people moved from California to another U.S. state in 2018. About 501,000 people moved from another state into California over the same time period.

It's the seventh year in a row that more people have left the state than moved in, reports KNTV.

Where all the California refugees going? The No. 1 destination is Texas, which may not come as a huge surprise. For starters, it's a big state with the second-largest population after California. Jobs there are also plentiful — Texas added more jobs last year than any other state (the unemployment rate is about 3% in Texas).

But the second-most popular destination for ex-Californians is a bit more surprising: Arizona. Sure, the state has always been a popular destination for retirees, but perhaps the Greater Phoenix Economic Council's trash-talking campaign has been able to draw even more Californians to the desert.

Tragic mom Jennifer Schlecht, 42, was mourned Thursday by her colleagues at Family Planning 2020, a group that advocates for reproductive healthcare for women and girls throughout Africa and Southeast Asia.

The colleagues are "utterly devastated," FOP2020 Executive Director Beth Schlachter said in a statement.

Drug bust at Ocean City apartment

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 11:30 AM PST

During an interview, police reported Forrester said he had received marijuana from a source in Salisbury, and intended to sell it.
An investigation of a broken glass door led to a drug bust after police discovered suspect Jacob Dylan Forrester, 20, of Ocean City, appeared to be operating a marijuana distribution operation from his 57th Street apartment.

An officer responded to a property damage call on Oct. 29, around 7:31 p.m. and found that a glass door had been broken by a small projectile, most likely from a BB gun or pellet gun, the police report said.

The officer reported that during an investigation of the perimeter of the property, he or she heard several popping sounds.

According to the report, the sound came from the west end of 57th Street, and the officer saw an apartment building with its lights on.

When the officer arrived at the front door of the apartment, a male, later identified as Scott William Berry, appeared holding two black handguns.

Sen. Kamala Harris introduces bill to keep school buildings open until 6 p.m.

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 09:45 AM PST

WASHINGTON (WSYX/WTTE) — Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Kamala Harris wants schools to extend open hours until 6 p.m. to help working parents, offering extracurricular activities.

The Family Friendly Schools Act seeks to better align school hours with parents work hours.

The school day would run normally from 8 a.m. and offer additional activities until 6 p.m. with no closures, except for weekends, federal holidays, and emergencies.

"My mother raised my sister and me while working demanding, long hours, said Senator Harris in a press release. So, I know firsthand that, for many working parents, juggling between school schedules and work schedules is a common cause of stress and financial hardship. But this does not have to be the case. My bill provides an innovative solution that will help reduce the burden of child care on working families. It is time we modernize the school schedule to better meet the needs of our students and their families."

Popcorn: Donald Trump Jr. Rips 'The View's' Joy Behar for Blackface Antics

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 09:30 AM PST

Donald Trump Jr. appeared on The View today and it was as entertaining as it could get. Like his father, he does not shy away from a fight and he will battle to the bitter end against the nonsense that's hurled at him from the liberal media, especially the little minions that occupy that View table. Julio already wrote about how he trashed ABC, which hosts The View, for firing the alleged whistleblower who gave Project Veritas the tape showing reporter Amy Robach voice her frustration that the network had killed stories about Jeffrey Epstein's sexual abuse allegations because they wanted to protect Bill Clinton; Epstein had ties to the Clinton family.

Then, host Joy Behar decided to talk about the degradation of discourse and character. Yeah, Joy can't really say jack about this, and Trump Jr. was well-prepared to deliver haymakers in response. Who wouldn't if your father is attacked so regularly by these clowns? Trump Jr. immediately brought up Behar's dabbling in blackface, which she admitted to on-air. We have the evidence. We have a photo. So, get wrecked, Joy.

Washington State Voters Are Rejecting Affirmative Action

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 09:15 AM PST

Washington State voters appear to be narrowly rejecting the restoration of affirmative action in public college admissions.

The latest vote totals are 48.23 percent in favor of restoring affirmative action, and 51.77 opposed.

A referendum barred the consideration of racial and ethnic preferences in 1998, but the Legislature voted this year to lift the ban. That move prompted a petition drive to put the issue on the ballot.

State election results show the measure passing only in three of the state's counties and losing by wide margins in many of the more rural counties.

In the state, about 4 percent of the population is black, 2 percent Native American, 9 percent Asian American and 13 percent Latinx.

Police seeking more cameras to keep eye on resort

The Ocean City Police Department wants to expand its City Watch surveillance program, and add to its inventory of 250 cameras deployed throughout the resort.

"The City Watch program is a significant force multiplier for the agency," Lt. Glen McIntyre said. "Technologically speaking, personnel who are monitoring our cameras are actively patrolling dozens of public places concurrently."

The expansion effort was brought up last Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Strategic Update Planning meeting held in the Ocean City convention center on 40th Street.

At the time, Police Chief Ross Buzzuro said he wanted to expand the program to target hot spot crime areas.

"We are currently using crime analytics to determine the best locations for future camera deployments," McIntyre said. "Once identified, we will be working with other city departments and contractors to develop a strategic plan for installation."

FBI ‘Misidentified’ Anti-Trump Agent’s Notes In Case Against Mike Flynn

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 08:00 AM PST

In a newly admitted "mistake" the defense has decried as "appalling," the attorneys prosecuting former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn have been forced to admit this week that they "misidentified" the sources of the FBI notes upon which the case against Flynn has been based.

The notes on the conversation with Flynn that the prosecutors believed were written by anti-Trump agent Peter Strzok, the prosecutors admitted in a letter Tuesday, were in fact written by his partner, Joe Pientka. The admission further calls into question Strzok's credibility, as he had insisted that Pientka was "primarily responsible" for taking the notes and writing the key document in the case, the FD-302 form. The admission also follows the defense's accusation that the FBI deliberately altered the original 302 form to suggest Flynn had lied about his contact with a Russian ambassador

As reported by National Review's Tobias Hoonhout on Wednesday, in a letter sent to Flynn's lawyer Sidney Powell, the Justice Department prosecuting attorneys were forced to admit that they had been misidentifying the sources of the notes on the FBI's January 2017 interview with Flynn for the entirety of the case, some 18 months.

Since the FBI does not record its interviews, such notes stand in place of an official transcript.

A Bogus Study on Concealed-Carry Killings

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 07:30 AM PST

The anti-gun Violence Policy Center (VPC) released a study recently with an eye-popping claim: Concealed-carry-permit holders have killed 1,335 people since 2007. "Too many concealed-carry permit holders are a direct threat to public safety," warns the VPC. Purporting to review "non-self-defense incidents" involving firearms, the VPC says its research proves that "allowing random people to carry guns endangers public safety." We're shocked — shocked — to report that this is fake news.

First of all, there are roughly 18 million permit holders now — three times as many as when the VPC started tracking this data in 2007. A crime wave among them would be big news, but instead concealed-carry-permit holders are, as a group, more law-abiding than police officers. They are model citizens, not "random people" apt to commit crime.

That's true for a couple of reasons. Permit holders in many states undergo training before receiving their permits, and every state that issues permits requires a bear minimum of a background check first. People who submit to such requirements are almost by definition more law-abiding than those who don't — at least compared to other "random people" carrying guns without permits.

Police uncover tow scheme

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 07:00 AM PST

Ocean City police uncovered a suspected theft and towing scheme by 1st Street Towing in Ocean City, going back as far as March 16. Charges filed last month allege that 1st Street Towing profited by thousands of dollars by illegally towing vehicles from a multi-unit property on Atlantic Avenue and the parking lot of Bank of America in mid-town Ocean City.

According to court documents, police became aware of the situation when Cynthia Mooney, president of Shore Management, reported to police on Aug. 9 that her car had been towed by the wrong company.

Shore Management organizes tow companies for its own properties, one of which was the multi-unit property on Atlantic Avenue. That property has labeled parking spaces by unit number for the owners.

Mooney told police she has tow warning signs that bear the stickers of the tow company she contracted with to perform that service: East Coast Auto Repair. She added that unit owners and agents have the right to call the company if a vehicle is incorrectly parked in the owner's spot.

California Conservatives Departing in Droves

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 09:34 AM PST

The Los Angeles Times recently reported that conservatives are moving out of California at an unprecedented rate. The Times cited a UC Berkeley study revealing that "just over half of California's registered voters have considered leaving the state" and that "Republicans and conservative voters were nearly three times as likely as their Democratic or liberal counterparts to seriously have considered moving." The reasons conservatives gave for wanting to leave were high taxes, cost of living, and an antagonizing, one-sided political culture.

From 2007 to 2016, California lost more than one million residents, or 2.5% of its population. In 2017 alone, 63,175 Californians moved to Texas, the top destination for residents moving out of the Golden State.

High cost of living, thanks in large part to Democrat policies and regulations, has been one of the biggest factors in driving people out. "To buy a house [in El Segundo near Santa Monica] is insane. It's like $1 million," complained former California resident Marie Bailey. "Why are we working our butts off for a fixer-upper in El Segundo? We're just working, working, working — and for what?"

State Dept. official flagged Hunter Biden's 'conflict of interest'

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 06:15 AM PST

George Kent, a career official at the State Department, told House investigators conducting the impeachment inquiry against President Trump that he raised concerns about Hunter Biden's lucrative service on the board of a Ukrainian natural gas company -- and confirmed that he had no "direct knowledge" that U.S. aid to Ukraine was ever connected to the opening of a new investigation.

According to a transcript of his Oct. 15 closed-door deposition released Thursday, Kent said that in January or February 2015, he "became aware that Hunter Biden was on the board" of Ukrainian company Burisma Holdings while his father Joe Biden was overseeing Ukraine policy as vice president.

"I did not know that at the time," Kent testified. "And when I was on a call with somebody on the vice president's staff and I cannot recall who it was, just briefing on what was happening into Ukraine, I raised my concerns that I had heard that Hunter Biden was on the board of a company owned by somebody that the U.S. Government had spent money trying to get tens of millions of dollars back, and that could create the perception of a conflict of interest."

After discussing those concerns with Biden's staff, Kent testified, "The message that I recall hearing back was that the Vice President's son Beau was dying of cancer and that there was no further bandwidth to deal with family-related issues at that time."

Kent, who serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and was defying the State Department's instruction that he not testify, additionally confirmed that "nobody in the Ukrainian Government became aware of a hold on military aid" until Aug. 29th -- a month after Trump's July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

WALSH: ABC And CBS Just Colluded To Fire A Whistleblower. The Hypocrisy Is Breathtaking.

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 06:00 AM PST

Remember this the next time you hear someone in the media fret about "protecting whistleblowers." After footage leaked of an ABC reporter complaining about higher-ups killing her Jeffrey Epstein story and preventing her from reporting on it for three years, ABC set out to find the person responsible for the leak. Reportedly, they did find the culprit. The person now works at CBS. According to journalist Yashar Ali, that person has now been fired. Page Six adds that the staffer is a female.

To review: A woman at ABC discovered that the network was protecting a serial rapist and sex trafficker. She blew the whistle on the scandal and left the company. ABC then tracked the woman down and enlisted CBS to fire her on its behalf. Both of these networks, who colluded to punish a whistleblower, have spent the last many months and years breathlessly extolling the virtues of whistleblowing and the evils of collusion.

Schiff Makes Up New Rules for Impeachment Inquiry

Posted: 08 Nov 2019 05:00 AM PST

House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) issued a set of restrictions on Thursday morning limiting Republicans to calling witnesses that can respond to three questions, all of which reflect Democrats' views.

The questions, detailed in a letter Wednesday from Schiff to ranking member Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) are:
  1. Did the President request that a foreign leader and government initiate investigations to benefit the President's personal political interests in the United States, including an investigation related to the President's political rival and potential opponent in the 2020 U.S. presidential election?
  2. Did the President — directly or through agents — seek to use the power of the Office of the President and other instruments of the federal government in other ways to apply pressure on the head of state and government of Ukraine to advance the President's personal political interests, including by leveraging an Oval Office meeting desired by the President of Ukraine or by withholding U.S. military assistance to Ukraine?
  3. Did the President and his Administration seek to obstruct, suppress, or cover up information to conceal from the Congress and the American people evidence about the President's actions and conduct?

The western wall of Hunter "Bunk" Mann's living room is covered from ceiling to floor with history books.

"I put them up when journalists come over," Mann joked.

Despite a long, fulfilling career in the insurance industry, Mann said his dream — if he could go back in time — would be to become a history professor at a small college.

His love of history is what inspired him to write his first book, "Vanishing Ocean City," and now his latest book, "Ghosts in the Surf."

"The title of the book … it's not about Halloween or something," Mann cracked. "The ghosts are the memories and the people that have passed on."

Mann's new, 340-page book has well over 700 photos and hundreds of anecdotes from Ocean City inhabitants, past and present.
