| State of Emergency Lifted In Salisbury Posted: 08 Jan 2017 07:37 AM PST  Salisbury -- Effective 10:00 a.m. Sunday, 1/8/2017, Mayor Jake Day has lifted the State of Emergency in the City of Salisbury. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing until Tuesday, and road crews will continue to work throughout the next couple of days. Residents are urged to remain cautious in their travels. Additionally, citizens are reminded that all property owners adjacent to any street within City limits are responsible for the removal of snow from their sidewalks. The snow must be removed for the entire length of the property for a width of four (4) feet. The removal must take place within six (6) hours after the snow has stopped falling. If snowfall ends between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 a.m., then snow removal must occur before 2 p.m. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide the ability for our residents and visitors to move freely and safely throughout the City. Those are the actions of sadistic sociopaths, filled with malice and premeditation. While Black Lives Matters was dubbed as being responsible (#BLMKidnapping) on Twitter, the Chicago Police denied any connection, yet is this suppose to admonish DeRay and company from any responsibility? Liberals and the Media have no problem making gross generalizations about 'all' Trump supporters being deplorable, yet, BLM can claim independence from an act and it's perfectly acceptable and unrelated? Young troublemakers see the group killing police officers, rioting and looting with little justice administered and take it as a carte blanche to do whatever they want to white people without fear of repercussions. To make matters worse, many white liberals dub them as perpetual victims with tough upbringings, lashing out against an oppressive society, which punishes them simply because they're black. In this instance, the Illinois court is holding this gang accountable by charging them with kidnapping, assault and two counts of hate crime each. The laundry list of charges has the defendants looking at 20-45 years without parole. Furthermore, Associate Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil denied bond, after asking them, "Where was the sense of decency?" Is White Academia further encouraging this hate?   White genocide is no joking matter, so should Ciccariello be teaching and influencing our future leaders? Apparently, at Drexel the answer is, yes.  Doesn't all this promote more violence on our population when hushed by authorities and given a pass by Liberals under the guise of political correctness? Because temperatures are so low, (and expect to stay that way until Wednesday) and so many vehicles packed down the snow on the roads, salt simply will not melt that snow/ice. It has to get above freezing before the salt will work. Even though we'll see the sun today, that doesn't mean it will help melt that snow/ice because the temperatures are so low. So we're in a unique situation. As for the current road conditions, they're bad. They have plowed just about everything BUT there are no roads down to the blacktop, including Rt. 50 and others. If you have to get out and drive, you better drive really slow because everything is a sheet of ice. As for school closings, nothing is official but I can assure you, (at least in Wicomico County) you can pre plan on schools being closed tomorrow. I've also been told you might want to prepare for schools being closed Tuesday as well. UPDATE: I stand corrected. The salt WILL start melting the snow/ice below freezing. It's the unsalted back roads where you can expect the biggest problems. The next thing we know we'll see Mayor Day running to the Council asking for a check. In business, you either survive or you fail. How these people can come out at the last minute and claim, OMG, our roof is leaking really bad, like they didn't know that already! You mean to tell me you don't have members that do roofing? You mean you've ignored the stains in the ceilings for years and did nothing? If you refuse to use a percentage of your funds to maintain your facility, why should ANYONE believe that IF they donated almost two million dollars that the next millennial generations running the place will keep it up, NOT. It's time to let go and sell the property to someone who knows how to run and maintain a professional business. As many of you know, we are in the process of trying to get our new fire station built. Permits, permits and more permits have caused the delay for the most part but here is the real kicker...............Verizon wants to charge the fire company $73,000 to move the lines from one side of the street to the other. YES, $73,000 bucks!! Verizon has a monopoly in this area and there is no other company that we know of that can do this. We are open for carnival 16 nights out of 365 nights. Between that and pony penning is how we make our money to purchase $500k fire trucks and $200k ambulances not to mention all the items that are needed to stock those vehicles. Turn out gear per firefighter cost around $2k per, stretcers in the ambulance cost $14k, yes, $14k, radios and pagers per volunteer cost $1,200 and then there is insurance, power bills etc...............Where does Verizon come up with these figures to charge a 5013c non profit organization that much money to literally move lines less than 75 yards? Once Lucas believed he had the room where she was, he began banging loudly on the door to the room asking for the female. The incident culminated with Lucas forcing the door open and finding the female who was hiding in the bathroom. Upon encountering her, Lucas choked her and slammed her head into the tile on wall before leaving. Upon arrest, the deputy transported Lucas to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Lucas in the Detention center in lieu of $25,000.00 bond. Dennard, 28, Salisbury, MD Narrative: On 31 December 2016 at 2:17 AM, a deputy responded for a reported altercation in the 1000 block of Mineola Avenue in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a male subject who advised that he had just been assaulted by a female subject with a child's two wheel scooter. During the ensuing investigation, the deputy learned that the pair engaged in an argument that escalated when Dennard grabbed the scooter and used it to strike the male victim in the head. The deputy observed that the male victim was bleeding profusely from a laceration to the head and that one of the scooter's wheels had broken off and was lying by itself in the driveway. The deputy also observed what he recognized as blood on the scooter. The deputy placed Dennard under arrest and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Dennard in the Detention Center in lieu of $50,000.00 bond. Very few were mentioning that the perpetrators were black. Very few were mentioning the victim was white. MSNBC and ABC doesn't even show it in the top news stories. All but Fox were downplaying the entire event. Unbelievable! Imagine if it was a cop or 4 whites beating a black man!! We would see banner planes blaming Trump. Jesse and Al would be there right away on their private jets. This is another example of the MSM bias – not only by reporting their polarized views- but by NOT reporting a major story that would dispel the beliefs of their liberal supporters, by not allowing them to see a video portraying a hate crime by blacks. This is not by accident. It is a choice by the liberal editors to let you see what they want you to see. And on the sites that did allow me to see the video, the "N" word was bleeped out along with the other explicatives, so as not to offend their liberal viewers with the word 'nigger'. These were blacks using the word "nigger" yet they tell us that is offensive to them. I'm confused. Thank God for sites like yours that allow us to see the news UNFILTERED. It's funny how your site seems right leaning, only because it's just unfiltered news, without the liberal bias. It seems strange to read news without the bias- kind of like putting your shirt on backwards.
