Top Reasons Sales Managers Hire The Wrong People

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 09:00 PM PDT

When numerous sales reps aren't meeting their target numbers, a company's puzzled leaders may go scrambling to figure out the cause.

But it could be the genesis of the problem dates back to when those sales people showed up for a job interview.

"One major reason sales goals aren't met is pretty simple," says Dave Stein, co-author with Steve Andersen of "Beyond the Sales Process: 12 Proven Strategies for a Customer-Driven World" (beyondthesalesprocess.com). "The sales manager hired the wrong people to begin with."

Stein says a number of factors that can cause that to happen. For example, sometimes sales managers hire someone recommended by a peer or a superior, and disregard their own hiring procedures.

He recalls a personal experience where a CEO needed to hire a vice president of sales. One of the company's board members heavily promoted a favored candidate.

"We had a hiring process in place, but the CEO felt compelled to short-cut it," Stein says. "He asked me to interview the candidate. It took 15 minutes to determine that this candidate wasn't qualified for the job. The CEO hired him anyway."

Six months later, the new VP was gone, Stein says, but only after costing the company millions of dollars in lost opportunities and damaged relationships with customers and business partners.

Stein and Andersen say other reasons sales managers make hiring mistakes include:

• They are behind their territory coverage plan and are in panic mode. After a little staff turnover, they may find themselves down five reps out of a team of 20. "The instinct is to hire fast and furiously, and that's the problem," Stein says.

• They hire based on gut feel. Many experienced sales managers claim that they know a good sales rep when they see one, but unfortunately they don't, Andersen says. Even the most intuitive sales managers who hire on a gut feeling get it wrong more often than less-experienced managers with a solid set of tools, he says.

• They fall for candidates who sell them during the interview. Salespeople who go from job to job end up gaining a lot of job-interview experience. It may take 10 to 20 interviews for them to land a job. If they change jobs every two years, then after 10 years they have been through 50 to 100 interviews and have become masters at selling themselves, Andersen says.

• They don't effectively check references. The references listed on a job candidate's resume aren't necessarily the best people to talk with. Instead, Stein prefers to contact former managers, customers and peers who aren't listed. Some companies' HR departments may have policies that don't allow blind-reference checks, though.

• They don't use proven tools available to them. Stein says those could include assessments, background checks, simulations and behavioral interviews, all of which can provide valuable information.

Finally, Stein and Andersen say even with experienced sales people past performance doesn't necessarily equal future performance.

"They will be doing a different job for a different company," Stein says. "They'll be selling different products to different customers, and against different competitors. Any one of those factors could influence how successful the salesperson will be."

Should Killing a Police Officer Be a Hate Crime?

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 08:00 PM PDT

Hoping to deter deadly attacks against police officers, some states want to expand hate-crime laws, which are traditionally confined to characteristics such as race and ethnicity, to cover people who work in law enforcement.

Nearly every state has a hate-crime statute that increases penalties for offenders motivated by hatred of a victim's race, religion, sexuality or other personal characteristic. Louisiana in May became the first state to add police to the list when it passed "Blue Lives Matter" legislation. Now half a dozen additional states are considering similar changes to their hate-crime laws.

Supporters argue the measures, which are backed by police, are a deterrent and send a strong message to police officers that the community stands behind them. Forty-one officers died in the line of duty last year, according to the FBI, and the recent killings of officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge have fueled calls for new measures to keep them safe. President Barack Obama, for example, is considering lifting the ban that blocks police departments from using military-grade equipment.

More States Lift Welfare Restrictions for Drug Felons

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 07:00 PM PDT

ATLANTA — Twenty years after a federal law blocked people with felony drug convictions from receiving welfare or food stamps, more states are loosening those restrictions — or waiving them entirely.

In April, Gov. Nathan Deal, a Republican, signed a criminal justice reform bill that lifted the ban on food stamps for drug felons in Georgia. Alaska followed suit in July, although applicants must prove they are complying with parole and are in treatment for substance abuse. And in Delaware, a bill to lift cash assistance restrictions for drug felons passed out of committee in June. The legislative session ended before the bill could be put to a vote.

The changes come amid broader efforts in Washington and many states to reform drug policies and criminal justice approaches. And they reflect a growing consensus that helping people when they are released from prison can increase the chances that they don't end up going back.

People who have been incarcerated need a leg up to successfully re-enter the community, says Roberta Meyers of the Legal Action Center, a nonprofit that fights discrimination against people who have been in prison, have substance abuse issues or have AIDS.

"Most have a hard time getting a job and initially need to rely on public assistance. And food is a basic primary way they need help," Meyers said.

Md. gov. seeks disaster declaration for Ellicott City

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:30 PM PDT

WASHINGTON — Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan has asked the Small Business Administration for a disaster declaration for Howard County residents and businesses in Ellicott City where floodwaters ripped through the historic downtown leaving a trail of devastation.

If granted, the designation would pave the way for businesses, homeowners and renters to qualify for low-interest loans to aid in the recovery effort.

"Ellicott City's residents and businesses need as much help as they can get — from private citizens and all levels of government as they begin to recover from this disastrous flood," Hogan said in a written statement issued Tuesday afternoon.

NFL Star Spells It Out Bluntly For Black Clinton Supporters

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:29 PM PDT

Benjamin Watson is an NFL football star who just signed a two-year, $7 million deal with the Ravens in the offseason. He's young, just 35 yrs-old, but as you can see has a pretty large family. So what do you imagine the political opinion of a black family man would be? His political opinions might get him called an Uncle Tom by Reverend Al Sharpton types… but you tell me if you think his opinions are 'Uncle Tom' or if he's revealing 'Uncle Tom' behavior.

Watson has been a huge voice regarding the state of race relations in the United States, but he's drawing both criticism and praise for claiming that Planned Parenthood was created to "exterminate blacks" and that "it's working."

From Allen West:

In an interview with the Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center, Watson, a devout Christian, said that he's puzzled by why so many blacks support Planned Parenthood.

"I do know that blacks kind of represent a large portion of the abortions, and I do know that honestly the whole idea with Planned Parenthood and (group founder Margaret) Sanger in the past was to exterminate blacks, and it's kind of ironic that it's working," Watson said.

"We (as minorities) support candidates, and overwhelmingly support the idea of having Planned Parenthood and the like, and yet, that is why she created it. We are buying it hook, line, and sinker, like it's a great thing. It's just amazing to me and abortion saddens me, period, but it seems to be something that is really pushed on minorities and provided to minorities especially as something that they should do.

It Begins: British Police Chief — Let’s Not Jail Pedophiles

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 05:00 PM PDT

There's a reason that pedophiles are put behind bars: they commit unthinkable, unforgivable crimes. Yet a British police chiefbelieves not all of them should be in prison.

There are so many paedophiles in England and Wales that they cannot all be jailed, a police chief warned today.

Gavin Thomas, president of the Police Superintendents' Association of England and Wales, is calling for more debate on a softer approach at the lower levels of sexual offences.

The chief superintendent warns the sex offenders register is growing so quickly that police will not have the ability to monitor the criminals as hoped.

Married father-of-two Mr Thomas wants some paedophiles who download child abuse images but do not commit offences involving contact to be sent for treatment rather than to prison.

Speaking to The Times crime editor Fiona Hamilton, he said: 'One of the major concerns from our members is managing the register already, and it's growing. For offenders at the highest level there are visits to be made [and] monitoring access to the internet.'

Judge: Glenn Beck must identify sources on Boston Marathon bombing

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 04:30 PM PDT

A looming First Amendment showdown drew closer Tuesday as a federal judge ordered conservative media host Glenn Beck to identify at least two confidential sources in connection with a defamation lawsuit stemming from Beck's reporting on the Boston Marathon bombing.

The suit was filed by Saudi Arabian student Abdulrahman Alharbi, who was injured at the scene of the deadly bombings. Beck continued to link the Saudi national to the attacks even after U.S. officials said publicly he'd been cleared.

U.S. District Court Judge Patti Saris ruled that Beck must disclose the names of two Department of Homeland Security employees who allegedly gave a Beck producer information backing up the radio and TV host's claim that Alharbi was the "money man" behind the attack.

The judge said deposition testimony from Beck and two of his top deputies at the time — Joel Cheatwood and Joe Weasel — was "vague and often contradictory" about what the sources said and when they said it. She also noted that the key sources spoke directly only with Weasel, who claimed to record the information on Post-It notes "which he then discarded."

Rio 2016: Ibtihaj Muhammad out of Olympic fencing - but media won't let hijab-wearing American go quietly

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 03:30 PM PDT

She was the poster girl for the hijab, a breaker of ground as the first American Muslim to compete at the Olympic Games in the traditional head-dress of her faith.

Turns out faith was irrelevant all along. When the whistle blows in this arena it's about winning and losing. Nothing more, nothing less. Religious orientation had no bearing on the emotional swirl that claimed fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad after her defeat to Cecilia Berder of France in the last 16 of the sabre.

The swarm of journalists on hand to record history were not quick enough to intercept Muhammad after her loss. She swept straight through the mixed zone in tears before the fourth estate could get out of the lift.

Ransom By Another Name

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 03:00 PM PDT

You've probably heard the very old riddle: When is a door not a door? When it's ajar

An updated version might go like this: When is a ransom not a ransom? When the Obama administration says it isn't.

President Obama and his State Department want us to believe that $400 million in foreign cash that was flown into Iran under cover of darkness on an unmarked cargo plane was merely money "owed" to the world's No. 1 sponsor of terrorism from a failed arms deal negotiated with the Shah of Iran more than 35 years ago.

The president's explanation is that the money was part of the nuclear deal reached with Iran and the first installment of a $1.7 billion settlement resolving claims at an international tribunal at The Hague. The president says settling the claim now is actually saving money, the full amount of which might have had to be paid if the case were fully litigated before the court.

We are to ignore a statement by one of the four Americans held hostage by the Iranian regime (one of them since 2011) before being released in January. Christian pastor Saeed Abedini told Fox Business Channel last week: "I just remember the night at the airport sitting for hours and hours there, and I asked police, 'Why are you not letting us go?'" Abedini said the policeman answered, "We are waiting for another plane so if that plane doesn't come, we never let [you] go.'"

What was the "other plane" carrying that was so important to the Iranian government that only its arrival would trigger the release of Abedini and the three other hostages, and its failure to land would keep them in captivity? Food? Toilet paper? Western movies? Or money?

Charlie is an ideal colleague. He's energetic, knows how to handle bullies and has serious people skills. His work mostly entails riding on a cart pushed by Kim Headen, who fills orders in the warehouse at Replacements Ltd.

"He loves coming to work," Headen says. "He beats me to the door when we pull up in the parking lot. He knows his way in and to go exactly where I sit."

Charlie is a Yorkshire terrier. He's among the 400 people and about 30 animals who come to work at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Replacements, where other varieties of fauna regularly come to visit.

"We've had customers bring in a duck, a potbellied pig, a possum," says public relations manager Lisa Conklin, who hopes to bring her horse, Azim, to work one day.

But consider this: Replacements makes and sells fine dining ware.

"Here's the interesting thing, is that we have never had a pet break anything here," Conklin says. "We've had people, myself included, who have broken a number of these delicate pieces. But we have never to our knowledge had a pet break anything."

Justice Department Announces Findings of Investigation into Baltimore Police Department

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 01:15 PM PDT

Justice Department Finds a Pattern of Civil Rights Violations by the Baltimore Police Department

The Justice Department announced today that it found reasonable cause to believe that the Baltimore City Police Department (BPD) engages in a pattern or practice of conduct that violates the First and Fourth Amendments of the Constitution as well as federal anti-discrimination laws. BPD makes stops, searches and arrests without the required justification; uses enforcement strategies that unlawfully subject African Americans to disproportionate rates of stops, searches and arrests; uses excessive force; and retaliates against individuals for their constitutionally-protected expression. The pattern or practice results from systemic deficiencies that have persisted within BPD for many years and has exacerbated community distrust of the police, particularly in the African-American community. The city and the department have also entered into an agreement in principle to work together, with community input, to create a federal court-enforceable consent decree addressing the deficiencies found during the investigation.

"Public trust is critical to effective policing and public safety," said Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch. "Our investigation found that Baltimore is a city where the bonds of trust have been broken, and that the Baltimore Police Department engaged in a pattern or practice of unlawful and unconstitutional conduct, ranging from the use of excessive force to unjustified stops, seizures and arrests. The results of our investigation raise serious concerns, and in the days ahead, the Department of Justice will continue working tirelessly to ensure that all Baltimoreans enjoy the safety, security and dignity they expect and deserve. I am grateful to all of the community members, local officials, faith leaders and current and former police officers who spoke with us during the course of our inquiry, and whose input will remain critical to our efforts as we move forward. Additionally, I commend the city and BPD for its proactive and collaborative approach to our inquiry and for demonstrating a strong commitment to restoring public confidence by already taking steps to make needed changes. I look forward to continuing our work together to implement urgent and necessary reforms."

"We found that BPD has engaged in a pattern or practice of serious violations of the U.S. Constitution and federal law that has disproportionately harmed Baltimore's African-American community and eroded the public's trust in the police," said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Vanita Gupta, head of the Civil Rights Division. "The agency also fails to provide officers with the guidance, oversight and resources they need to police safely, constitutionally and effectively. In communities across America, even in communities where trust has been broken, we've seen transformative reform rebuild relationships and advance public safety. In the weeks ahead, as we negotiate our consent decree with the city, we will seek input from law enforcement and community members. With the city and commissioner's commitment to reform, I am optimistic that we will work to drive that same progress in Baltimore."

Report: Baltimore Police ‘Violated Civil Rights, Conducted Unlawful Stops’

The results of the Justice Department's investigation are expected to be announced Wednesday in Baltimore at a press conference attended by high-ranking federal law enforcement officials and city leaders.

Assange implies murdered DNC staffer was WikiLeaks' source

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 12:15 PM PDT

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange implied in an interview that a murdered Democratic National Committee staffer was the source of a trove of damaging emails the rogue website posted just days before the party's convention.

Speaking to Dutch television program Nieuswsuur Tuesday after earlier announcing a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Seth Rich's killer, Assange said the July 10 murder of Rich in Northwest Washington was an example of the risk leakers undertake.

"Whistle-blowers go to significant efforts to get us material and often very significant risks," Assange said. "As a 27-year-old, works for the DNC, was shot in the back, murdered just a few weeks ago for unknown reasons as he was walking down the street in Washington."

This robot can make real tattoos on your skin

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 12:00 PM PDT

A team of students from well-known Paris design school ENSCI Les Ateliers had an idea that could change the face of tattooing.

The team came up with the idea during a recent design challenge hosted by the French Ministry of Culture and worked with other ENSCI students and teachers to bring it to life.

Their idea? An industrial robot that could autonomously create a tattoo from a database of images.

The idea was conceived as part of the Public Domain Remix, a workshop that encourages students to create new items using a mashup of public domain material.

The students had 8 hours to come up with an idea and remix their material to create something new. After bouncing around a handful of common concepts, the team came up with the radical idea of a tattooing robot. They consulted with digital manufacturing expert Le FabShop who thought the idea was achievable and could be prototyped using the school's hardware.

Will Smith: It's important 'to speak out about the insanity' surrounding U.S. election

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- Will Smith was in the Middle East on Sunday promoting the movie "Suicide Squad", but the Hollywood star said his time in Dubai is also a chance to counter an increasingly anti-Muslim climate surrounding the U.S. presidential race.

Smith, who plays the sharpshooter Deadshot in the film, said he's having fun and tweeting pictures of his time in Dubai, showing that "Hey, it doesn't look like they hate me, does it?"

"In terms of Islamophobia in America, for me that's why it's important to show up," he said.

He encouraged local film makers and producers to find more ways to tell the story of the region to the world.

"The Middle East can't allow Fox News to be the arbiter of the imagery, you know. So cinema is a huge way to be able to deliver the truth of the soul of a place to a global audience," he said.

Wheat Prices Below Breakeven Point

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 11:00 AM PDT

The good news for wheat farmers is that 2016 is a bumper crop with winter wheat harvesters reporting 60, 70, even 80 bushels an acre yields.

The bad news is that wheat growers across the country and around the world are reporting similar record harvests. Estimated amounts are equal to a four-year total of all the wheat harvested in the United States, dropping the demand — and price — of wheat to below the breakeven point for farmers, agricultural experts say.

Russia, Ukraine, Canada, Australia, Argentina and Serbia — nearly all the major wheat-growing regions on the planet — are reporting surplus production. According to the USDA-National Agricultural Statistics Service, global wheat production is expected to exceed 738 million tons this year, a mountain of newly harvested wheat to be added to the Himalayas of ending stocks already on hand.

Pharmaceutical Exec: Hillary Clinton Has Parkinson's Disease

"Involuntary movements" and difficulty walking is a form of dyskinesia

According to pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli, footage of Hillary Clinton exhibiting bizarre behavior is proof that the presidential candidate is suffering from Parkinson's disease.

Citing his "15 year background in drug discovery and pharmaceuticals," Shkreli asserts that the videos of Hillary's strange facial movements and her difficulties with walking are "pretty unmistakable signs of Parkinson's disease."

Explaining that a stroke or a concussion wouldn't explain the symptoms, Shkreli says that Hillary's walking difficulties are a "cardinal symptom of Parkinson's disease" and what is known as "freezing gait". Shkreli adds that he helped develop a drug to treat the problem.

Feds Raid Home, Office, Pub of Philly Union Boss Tied to DNC and Clinton

Flashy expenditures may be central to growing federal probe of union

During the Democratic National Convention, the office of Philadelphia's most powerful construction union stood out, decked in an enormous sign declaring "Hillary for President." But on Friday morning, the union headquarters captured public attention for a different reason: a yellow Penske semi-truck parked on the curb outside, packed with dozens of boxes of evidence lugged out of the office by federal agents.

Authorities raided not only the office of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98 but also the home of its powerful leader, John "Johnny Doc" Dougherty, who is also head of the Philadelphia Building and Construction Trades Council. In addition, law enforcement searched a pub run by Johnny Doc and other union bosses, as well as the offices of a labor-connected Philadelphia city councilman.

The searches occurred just a week after Johnny Doc and the construction unions played a central behind-the-scenes role at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Earlier this year, Johnny Doc had accompanied Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and Congressman Bob Brady for a meeting with Hillary Clinton to discuss union issues, including project-labor agreements, posing for a photo with her:

CNN is attempting to dismiss questions about Hillary Clinton's health by asserting that photos which appear to show her struggling to climb some steps are old and merely show the aftermath of her slipping.

However, the news network conveniently fails to mention the fact that both federal and NYPD sources have blown the whistle on Hillary's difficulties with balance and walking in the past.

Under the headline 'Drudge Report misleads readers with Hillary Clinton photo', CNN's Brian Stelter writes that news aggregator Matt Drudge is "taking a six-month-old photo out of context," adding that Drudge was "wrong" to imply that Clinton has a hard time walking

Erik Prince: Clinton ‘Playing Fast and Loose with National Security Very Likely Caused’ Iranian Nuclear Scientist’s Death

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 09:07 AM PDT

Former Navy SEAL and former Blackwater CEO Erik Prince addressed the controversy surrounding President Obama's secret $400 million payment to Iran on Monday's edition of Breitbart News Daily with SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon.

"For the administration to deny that it was a ransom payment is a complete lie," said Prince, adding:

When you have the aircraft holding on the deck in Iran – pilots there, crew there, flight plan filed, everything waiting until the fee arrives – and of course, the administration doesn't do it in dollars because that would be another violation of federal law, so they did it in euros and Swiss francs, once again with America paying off Iran.

6 reasons Hillary is dangerous

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 09:00 AM PDT

Hillary has proven over and over to the American people that she is solidly unfit to be president. The question is, when will people start believing the behavior that Hillary has proven over and over?

I will acknowledge that it is my personal observation that most politicians at the national level display some number of narcissistic traits. Narcissism is not necessarily dangerous unless other, more organic and systemic traits are present. In fact, the argument can be made that some degree of narcissistic "ability" may be necessary to run on the national level.

Hillary is in a separate category altogether.
She has risked national security and been instrumental in destabilizing the Middle East.
She has lied under oath.
She has colluded with enemies for personal gain through the Clinton foundation: "Honestly I cannot trust the American news media because they are all in bed with the Clinton Foundation" – Julian Assange.
She has brutalized and bullied women her husband abused.
She left heroes to die in Benghazi and then lied to the faces of the families, graveside, to cover for Islamic terrorists. The list goes on.
Hillary Clinton displays evidence of a traumatic brain injury that could impair her decision making as president of the United States.

LEGAL GROUP ISSUES PRIVATE EMAILS CLINTON DID NOT TURN OVER

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 08:45 AM PDT

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The State Department has turned over 44 previously-unreleased Hillary Clinton email exchanges that the Democratic presidential nominee failed to include among the 30,000 private messages she turned over to the government last year. They show her interacting with lobbyists, political and Clinton Foundation donors and business interests as secretary of state.

The conservative legal group Judicial Watch obtained the emails as part of its lawsuit against the State Department. They cover Clinton's first three months as secretary of state in early 2009, a period for which Clinton did not turn over any emails to the State Department last year. The government found the newly disclosed messages during a search of agency computer files from longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

In one instance, Clinton exchanged messages with a senior Morgan Stanley investment executive whom she met with later that year at her office in Washington. They were among 246 pages of Abedin messages turned over to Judicial Watch.

Clinton campaign officials did not immediately answer questions about the issue.

MUSLIM FLIGHT ATTENDANT SUES EXPRESSJET OVER SUSPENSION

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 08:30 AM PDT

DETROIT (AP) -- A Muslim flight attendant has sued ExpressJet, accusing the airline of wrongly suspending her because she refused to serve alcohol to passengers.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations' Michigan chapter announced Tuesday it filed the lawsuit last week on behalf of Charee Stanley, a Detroit-based flight attendant for the airline headquartered in Atlanta.

The federal court case follows a discrimination complaint filed last year with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which dismissed it without determining whether the airline violated the law.

Why A Special Circle Of Student Loan Hell Is Reserved For College Dropouts

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 08:00 AM PDT

Just in case it wasn't already bad enough to be a recent Millennial college graduate in the US with tens of thousands in student debt (recall that of those lucky enough to have a job after graduation, roughly half live paycheck to paycheck; as for those without a job, well... our condolences), it turns out there is a special circle in student loan hell reserved for those who never manage to graduate. Because as Bloomberg reports, when it comes to collecting on student loans, the U.S. Department of Education treats college dropouts the same as Ivy League graduates: They just want the money back.

But that's only part of the bad news. It will come as no surprise that when it comes to wage potential, dropouts are in a category of their own. The dead last category. Unlike peers who earn degrees, dropouts generally don't command higher wages after leaving school, making it harder for them to repay their student debt. The typical college dropout experienced a steep fall in wealth from 2010 to 2013, figures from the Federal Reserve in Washington show, and an 11 percent drop in income—the sharpest decline among any group in America.

Hillary’s Medical Handler Exposed! Look What SICK Thing He Injects Her With…

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 07:30 AM PDT

Detectives on Twitter have just found a new picture of Hillary's handler that will blow her entire campaign out of the water. He is a mysterious man that seems to be wearing a medical lapel-pin. He follows Hillary Clinton wherever she goes. He helps her up the stairs and calms her down when she begins seizing because of all the stress.

*** He probably tucks Hillary in at night! Just kidding. But, he is always at her side.

Take a look at the photo evidence. Here is the picture of her handler.

Let's zoom in a little more. Do you see what the Secret Service agent on the right is holding?

Her secret service agent is carrying an auto-injector with Diazepam. She is not healthy enough to serve as President.

The Fix WAS IN!!!!!

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 07:15 AM PDT

Written by Mike Greene.

Some of you know I'm a former NYPD Detective and former Orange County

Sheriff candidate. I've conducted local level criminal investigations through high level national and international level investigations (terrorism, espionage, international abductions, crimes on the high seas, etc.).

Many of us saw the FBI Director's speech yesterday. Like many of us, I was a bit pissed that after Comey described a mountain of very
serious wrongdoing, his agency was not going to recommend prosecution of the case. Like many of us, I smelled a rat. So, I conducted my own investigation. The results of my investigation will astound you and show a clear path to corruption here.
Here's my step by step breakdown of this seemingly corrupt decision:

1. Lynch was appointed U.S. Attorney in Brooklyn from 1999 to 2001.
Who appointed her? Then President Bill Clinton.

2. Lynch resigned in 2001 to join the law firm of Hogan & Hartson.
This is the same law firm that represented the company, MXLogic.
MXLogic was the company Hillary first used to set up her private email server and account. Executives from this law firm have also
donated to the Clintons.

3. From 2003 to 2005 Lynch served as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. The Federal Reserve Bank is actually a privately owned corporation compromised of numerous banks. Several of these banks, and or their executives, have donated to the Clintons political campaigns and to the Clinton Foundation.

4. In 2010, President Obama re-appointed Lynch as U.S. Attorney in Brooklyn. In 2015, Obama then appointed her U.S. Attorney
General.

5. A few days ago, as we all know, Lynch met with Bill Clinton
privately, on her private government jet. This meeting was a few days before the FBI interviewed Hillary and a few days before today's announcement.

6. After this meeting, Lynch said something that no U.S. Attorney has ever said. She first apologized and said she should not have met him (obviously an apology based on her being caught, not apologizing for the actual action). She then stated something U.S. Attorneys do not state. She stated her office will be guided by whatever recommendation the FBI gives them. Why was this statement ridiculous? She is the head of the U.S. Justice Department. The FBI is a sub-unit of DOJ.
She is the top boss, not Comey and not the FBI. Her office decides to prosecute or not, NOT the FBI.

7. In 1996 Comey was appointed as a senate committee
Investigator/counsel to investigate the Clintons' Whitewater scandal.
His findings concluded no wrongdoing by the Clintons.

8. Comey and Lynch met back in the early 2000's. Comey was appointed by Bush as the U.S. Attorney for Manhattan.

9. In 2002, Bush appointed Comey as Deputy U.S. Attorney and he was tasked with investigating Bill Clinton's mass pardons as he left
office. Comey concluded that Clinton had done nothing wrong.

10. Comey went into private law practice in 2005.

11. In 2014, Obama appointed Comey FBI Director. Lynch is Comey's boss, as she is the head of the parent agency, DOJ. Lynch is the chief law enforcement officer of our nation. Comey holds the number two position in the sub agency, the FBI.

At the end of the day, how do we have Lynch, previously appointed by Bill Clinton and former employee of the law firm that is connected to Hillary's email scandal, in charge of the investigation into Hillarys email scandal, with the lead investigative agency led by a man who twice investigated the Clintons and both times found them not guilty of wrongdoing, also appointed by the current U.S. President, who appointed Lynch, who is Comey's boss? And Comey and Lynch have known each other for decades as well. How was this investigation to have ever been legitimate?

No Wonder She Knew She Wouldn't Face Charges.

MSNBC's Brzezinski: Clinton Set Up Server for 'Self-Serving Reason,' May Have Been to 'Widen the Footprint' of Foundation

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 07:00 AM PDT

On Monday's broadcast of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," co-host Mika Brzezinski argued that Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State set up her private email server for a "self-serving reason" "And it was done, whether it's to widen the footprint of the foundation while she was secretary of state, or, whatever, paranoia, but, they set up a server, because they didn't want it in the State Department."

Brzezinski said, during a discussion of Clinton's answers about her email, "I think there's a bigger problem. … What really worried me is that there's a bigger picture here, that they are, I don't want to say covering up, because it sounds like completely illegal, I think there was just a self-serving reason to set up the own — the private server, that was completely inappropriate. And it was done, whether it's to widen the footprint of the foundation while she was secretary of state, or, whatever, paranoia, but, they set up a server, because they didn't want it in the State Department. Can we go back to the beginning here and not talk about the five emails that weren't marked or were marked, and whether or not she knew they were marked. It was wrong. All of it."

Soros Backs Democratic 'Super Lawyer' in Voter ID Cases

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:53 AM PDT

A Democratic "super lawyer" has $5 million in backing from liberal mega-donor George Soros for a controversially partisan effort to challenge state elections laws, the Washington Post reports.

Marc Elias, who's gone to bat for Democrats in recount fights and redistricting battles, is challenging laws that he argues diminish the impact of important Democratic Party constituencies of African Americans, Latinos and young people — including states especially important for Hillary Clinton's campaign, like Ohio, Arizona, and Virginia, the Post reports.

The Post notes voting rights changes passed by GOP legislatures in 15 states — including Texas, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Dakota and Kansas, where the changes have been challenged — put new and stricter laws in place seeking to combat voter fraud.

But in the past month, judges appointed by both Democrats and Republicans have ruled there's evidence the laws hinder minority participation in the process, the Post reports.

The legal battles are led by civil rights groups, such as the American Civil Liberties Union, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Advancement Project, and others.

But Elias's efforts that are explicitly on behalf of Democrats worries those groups, which aim for bipartisan support for voting rights, including strengthening the Voting Rights Act, the Post reports.

Study: Obama issued $743B in regs

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:45 AM PDT

Since President Obama took office in 2009, the federal government has issued 600 major regulations totaling $743 billion, according to a new study from the conservative American Action Forum.

The Obama administration issues an average of 81 major rules, those with an economic impact of at least $100 million, on a yearly basis, the study found.

That's about one major rule every four to five days, or, as the American Action Forum puts it, one rule for every three days that the federal government is open.

"It is a $2,294 regulatory imposition on every person in the United States," wrote Sam Batkins, director of regulatory policy at the American Action Forum, who conducted the study.

At the current pace of rulemaking, the American Action Forum estimates the Obama administration will issue a total 641 major rules before the president leaves office, bringing the nation's regulatory bill to $813 billion.

Grassley: Why Do Fugitives Live In Public Housing?

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:37 AM PDT

Sen. Chuck Grassley wants to know why fugitives are living in federally-funded housing, which the Iowa Republican points out is a violation of the law.

"It is essential that the federal government ensures the safety and security of public housing residents against fugitive felons and other such predators," Grassley wrote to Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Julian Castro Friday.

More than 1,300 felony fugitives were found living in public housing in one HUD region in 2012, but local authorities refused to kick them out, The Daily Caller News Foundation exclusively reported July 26, 2016. Those residents were wanted for crimes ranging from felony theft to rape and murder. Grassley cited TheDCNF story in his letter to Castro.

The HUD Inspector General (IG) report that unveiled the fugitives was unreleased because of "questions about the validity of the data," IG spokesman Darryl Madden told TheDCNF, though he declined to provide specific details.

Could the ‘Code of Silence’ Be Changing Among Police In Baltimore?

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:30 AM PDT

BALTIMORE (WJZ)— The blue wall of silence, it's the unwritten code among officers not to snitch on each other.

But could that culture be changing among police in Baltimore after some high-profile incidents?

"This code of silence has been going on as long as there's been multiple police officers on the same organization," said policing expert Doug Ward, with Johns Hopkins University.

In one of the rare times it's been exposed in Baltimore, former Officer Joe Crystal found a rat on his car after telling prosecutors he witnessed fellow officers assault a suspect. He claimed he couldn't get back up and that the commissioner at the time failed to shield him from retaliation.

Media Lie about Hillary’s Severe Health Condition

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:23 AM PDT

The rat poison problem

Major media are rushing to do damage control on Hillary's health. They're trying to lay down the concrete of a fake consensus that she's fine, because her doctor issued a positive report in 2015.

But one of the bottom lines is: she's suffered from dangerous blood clots. And the treatment is blood-thinners, which are given to reduce the possibility of a fatal clot.

Hillary is taking Coumadin, also known as Warfarin.

It's a rat poison. It kills rats by causing them to bleed out internally. This is a fact.

Therefore, the prescribing doctor and the patient walk a tightrope. How much Coumadin is too much? How little is too little? Too much, and life-threatening bleeding can occur. Too little and fatal blood clots can occur.

FDA Issues Warning on Mercury in Anti-Aging Products

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:15 AM PDT

The beauty cream you're using may contain some ugly ingredients. That's the upshot of a new warning from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that many anti-aging products, cosmetics, skin lotions, and antiseptic soaps contain hidden mercury.

Jason Humbert of FDA's Office of Regulatory Affairs says these products are usually marketed as skin lighteners and anti-aging treatments that remove age spots, freckles, blemishes, and wrinkles. Adolescents may use these products as acne treatments.

Most are manufactured abroad and sold online or illegally in the United States, often in shops catering to the Latino, Asian, African, or Middle Eastern communities, Humbert said.

But it may not be readily apparent that they contain mercury because the labels can be misleading he added. If the ingredients list includes "mercurous chloride," "calomel," "mercuric," "mercurio," the mercury's in it — and you should stop using the product immediately, the FDA advises.

FDA does not allow mercury in drugs or in cosmetics, except under very specific conditions where there are no other safe and effective preservatives available, she added.

Exposure to mercury can have serious health consequences, noted Dr. Arthur Simone, a senior medical advisor at FDA. Some people — including pregnant women, nursing babies, and young children — are especially vulnerable to mercury toxicity. The toxin can harm babies' developing brains and nervous systems.

Sheriff David Clarke: Hillary Is 'a Straight Up Cop Hater'

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:07 AM PDT

During Monday's "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News Channel, Milwaukee Co., WI Sheriff David Clarke called Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton "a straight up cop hater" who is "all in with the criminal element."

Clarke said, "She has made it clear from the convention that she is all in with the criminal element, she doesn't care about victims of crime, she's a straight up cop hater and so she is, like I said, rolling the dice on not having support of law enforcement. The problem for her is that middle America, mainstream America does not share her sentiment in having sympathy for criminals."

Obama administration's Syrian refugee surge could approach 30,000 in next year

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 06:00 AM PDT

After a massive surge of effort, the administration is on pace to blow past President Obama's goal of 10,000 Syrian refugees this fiscal year, and could end up taking in more than 12,000 if the pace continues — locking the next president into an even bigger 2017.

In July alone, 2,478 Syrian refugees were admitted. Another 453 were approved during the first week of August, and officials said that pace will continue beyond October, the beginning of fiscal year 2017.

At that rate, nearly 30,000 Syrians could be admitted in the next year.

"We can now say that we've welcomed 8,000 Syrian refugees so far this year and we are very confident we will welcome at least 10,000," Assistant Secretary of State Anne C. Richard told reporters Friday, saying they plan to keep up the pace for the foreseeable future.

Letter to the Editor: Reported House Fire in Salisbury

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 12:36 AM PDT

Dear Editor,

I have a question. Around 1:50am Wicomico Central Alerted Stations 2, 16, 1 and 5(Hebron) for a reported house fire at the corner of Church Street and Truitt Street. Isn't Station 6 Parsonsburg much closer than Hebron?

At 1:58am Station 2 was re-alerted. Command told Central to dispatch a Next Due. A couple of minutes later Central Dispatched Station 3(Fruitland). Isn't Station 6(Parsonsburg) closer than Fruitland?

At 2:01am Command requested Central dispatch a 2nd Alarm. At that time Central dispatched 3, 74 and 6(finally).

At 2:08am Command asked Central the status on responding units. Central advised nothing marked up yet.

Then Central alerted again saying Stations 8, 3, 74 and 6 due(Whatever that means?)

What is the Status on Station 6(Parsonsburg) and why weren't they alerted first and second on this call?

Another question? When did Central start hitting the all call tone for 3 stations and then an outside station for house fires in Salisbury?

Ray Mabus names Navy ship for Harvey Milk, bypasses military heroes

Posted: 10 Aug 2016 05:30 AM PDT

Navy Secretary Ray Mabus has riled conservatives by once again naming a warship after a liberal activist, in this case slain gay rights icon Harvey Milk.

Conservatives say there is an ample list of Navy and Marine Corps war heroes and longtime maritime leaders who would be more fitting choices for the TAO-125 fleet-replenishment oiler.

But Mr. Mabus has veered from tradition to affix the names of liberal Democrats, such as Milk, to war vessels in a special and coveted military honor during his long tenure as President Obama's only Navy secretary.

Milk deliberately misled voters in his San Francisco Castro Street district about his Navy service, according to a biography.
