| Guardian Newsroom: Brexit, what happens next? Tuesday 8 October, 7pm–8.30pm Greenwood Theatre, London Parliament has now been suspended for five weeks - the longest break since 1945 - and MPs are forced to scramble for solutions as we race towards the Brexit deadline, without being able to hold Prime Minister Boris Johnson to account. Now that he has expelled 21 rebel Tory MPs, he is fronting a minority government, while Labour has voted against a motion for an early general election - at least until a No Deal exit is off the table. As the chaos continues to unfold, our panel of Guardian journalists, including chair Zoe Williams, Brexit correspondent Lisa O'Carroll, deputy political editor Rowena Mason and chief leader writer Randeep Ramesh, will be exploring all the positibilites before us, from a deadline extension to the potential prospects for a deeply divided country. | |
