Dr. Gorka: DNC Ignores ISIS Because Its Existence Disproves Multiculturalist Narrative

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:00 PM PDT

Dr. Sebastian Gorka, National Security Editor for Breitbart News and author of the best-selling Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War, appeared on Fox News' "Hannity" with guest host Tucker Carlson on Friday night to discuss the way terrorism was downplayed at the Democratic National Convention.

Carlson observed that ISIS and terrorism were scarcely mentioned during the convention, and wondered if it was a matter of Democrats not understanding the threat of Islamic terrorism, or being unwilling to acknowledge it for political reasons.

"If you look at the last seven and a half years, I think it has to be the latter," said Gorka.

"I want to be careful here, Tucker," he continued. "I don't want to lambaste all Democratic voters in America. The DNC is really a function of the left-wing machine. It's part of a Party that's been captured by the radicals."

In Poll After Poll Trump Leads Clinton Among Independents

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 08:00 PM PDT

General election polls of the nation and battleground states consistently show Republican nominee Donald Trump besting Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton among independent voters.

This lead among independent/non-party affiliated voters for Trump is also found in polls where Clinton leads overall. For example, in the most recent poll of national voters from Public Policy Polling, Clinton leads Trump 46 percent to 41 percent. Among independent voters, however, Trump leads 42 percent to 35 percent.

In another recent national poll from CNN/ORC, Trump leads Clinton 44 percent to 39 percent. This poll has Trump leading Clinton by 18 percent among independents, 46 percent to 28 percent. Libertarian candidate Gov. Gary Johnson has 15 percent of the independent support in this poll.

A poll of voters nationally released last week from YouGov has Clinton ahead of Trump 40 percent to 38 percent. That same poll has Trump leading with independent voters 38 percent to 26 percent.

Hogan and Franchot to Encourage Shopping During Tax-Free Week, August 14-20

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 07:30 PM PDT

State Sales Tax Waived for Qualifying Clothing and Footwear Under $100
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Governor Larry Hogan will join Comptroller Peter Franchot in Frederick on Wednesday, August 10, to promote and maybe do a little shopping in advance of the annual Shop Maryland Tax-Free Week, which takes place August 14-20. During that week, any single, qualifying article of clothing or footwear priced $100 or less – regardless of how many items are purchased at the same time – will be exempt from the state's 6 percent sales tax.
"I'm delighted Governor Hogan will join me to let Marylanders know about an opportunity to keep more of their hard-earned money as they shop back-to-school sales for their children or themselves," Comptroller Franchot said. "A break on the cost of clothing and shoes can make a real difference and help stretch family budgets. Local retailers also benefit with increased foot traffic."
In addition to Frederick, the Comptroller will be promoting Tax-Free Week with visits to stores in Takoma Park, Baltimore, Frederick, Towson and Cambridge. Cailey Locklair Tolle, president of the Maryland Retailers Association, or Maddy Voytek, legislative and membership assistant at the MRA, will join the Comptroller at several businesses.
"Tax-free week is an excellent opportunity for Marylanders to take advantage of apparel and footwear tax savings priced at less than $100 per item," Tolle said. "The week provides a much-needed boost to brick-and-mortar retailers in our state and we encourage all consumers to support their local businesses."

Resulting from legislation passed by the Maryland General Assembly in 2007, the tax-free week is held annually during the second week in August.
Businesses selling items that are not eligible for inclusion in the tax-free week can still participate in Shop Maryland. Under "Sellers Privilege," other unqualified merchandise can be sold tax-free, but the retailer is responsible for paying the sales tax owed to the state.
For more information on qualifying items, visit the Comptroller of Maryland's Website at www.marylandtaxes.com, e-mail taxhelp@comp.state.md.us or call 410-260-7980 in Central Maryland or toll-free at 1-800-MD-TAXES.

Report: Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Mgr John Podesta Sat on Board of Company that Bagged $35 Million from Putin-Connected Russian Govt Fund

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 07:00 PM PDT

Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta sat on the board of a small energy company alongside Russian officials that received $35 million from a Putin-connected Russian government fund, a relationship Podesta failed to fully disclose on his federal financial disclosures as required by law.

That's one of the many revelations from a 56-page report released late Sunday titled "From Russia with Money: Hillary Clinton, the Russian Reset, and Cronyism" by the non-partisan government watchdog group, the Government Accountability Institute (GAI). Breitbart Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon holds the same title in GAI and Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer serves as GAI's president.

Both the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal ran stories on the newly released report late Sunday evening.

The Emerging Trumpian Majority

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 06:00 PM PDT

First of Three Parts

1. Populists vs. Elitists

Something big is happening in American politics—bigger than this election. And so even if we can't precisely predict the winner this November, we can know the general contours of American politics in the decades to come: populists on one side, elitists on the other.

But first, let's start by thinking about what we've seen at the party conventions in the last two weeks: the Republicans nominating Donald Trump and the Democrats nominating Hillary Clinton. And maybe it's best if we're sitting down, because the changes are such that we could get dizzy.

Here's the July 28 headline in The Washington Post: "We are witnessing a visceral shift in the way the parties speak to the country." The story continued, "The country's two major political parties, emerging from their conventions to square off in the general election, are speaking to Americas unrecognizable to each other in voices that sound like a political and ideological role reversal."

"Role reversal"? Well, actually, that's overstated: The Republicans are still on the right, and the Democrats are still on the left. In Trump's Cleveland, for example, the police were the heroes, frequently applauded by GOP delegates, as well as by speakers; yet in Hillary's Philadelphia, the cops were regarded with stony silence.

Former Md. Atty. Gen. Joe Curran tries to stop robber with cane

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 05:30 PM PDT

BALTIMORE (WUSA9) — Former Maryland Attorney General Joe Curran is still fighting crime at 85 years old, according to a statement from the Attorney General's Office.

Joe Curran, Jr., Assistant Vice President of Claims, remembered July 11. On that day, he witnessed a robbery and an assault, and then tried to stop the suspect using his cane.

"As long as I've lived, I've never seen anything like that happen," Curran said. "I've never seen anyone being attacked like that."

He said he was at the dry cleaners picking up shirts when as he was leaving, he overheard a man asking the female clerk behind the counter how much it cost to have shirts and a suit cleaned.

But Curran forgot his cane on the counter by the cash register and returned to the store to retrieve it.

"When I walked back in, I noticed the man who had inquired about pricing was now standing behind the counter and had the female clerk in a chokehold," Curran said.

Multi-Drug Resistant TB Spikes 75 Percent in Massachusetts

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 05:00 PM PDT

The number of cases of very dangerous, multi-drug resistant (MDR) tuberculosis (TB) reported in Massachusetts spiked 75 percent in 2015, to seven cases, up from four in 2014, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

In 2015, 87 percent of the 192 cases of active TB diagnosed in Massachusetts (167 out of 192) were foreign-born, a rate significantly higher than the foreign-born rate across the country that year, which was 66 percent.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health provided no information on how many of the seven cases of MDR TB in 2015 and four cases in 2014 were foreign-born. However, of the 9,421 cases of active diagnosed in the United States in 2014, 91 were classified as MDR. 88 percent of those cases (80 out of 91) were foreign-born. The CDC did not report how many of those foreign-born cases of MDR TB were resettled refugees.

Officials welcome 3-wheelers on Md. roads

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 04:30 PM PDT

WASHINGTON — The autocycle, a type of three-wheeled vehicle, is now welcome on Maryland roads. The state's transportation secretary held a news event Monday to introduce the latest vehicle to join Maryland's transportation mix.

"They have merged together a healthy motorcycle and a very foxy-looking car," said Maryland Transportation Secretary Pete Rahn. "It's just fun."

Autocycles are subject to the federal safety standards that apply to motorcycles. But they have three wheels and features common to cars, such as a steering wheel, foot pedals to control speed, seat belts and permanent seats that don't require drivers or passengers to sit astride.

Virginia approved the vehicles in 2014; it was among the first of about 20 states that now allow the vehicles under various rules.

Hillary can’t stop lying even when she doesn’t have to

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 04:00 PM PDT

Give Hillary Clinton this much: She's absolutely fearless about lying on national television.

On Fox News Sunday, she again claimed she did nothing wrong in relying on that home-brewed e-mail server, and never sent or received classified material. Then she declared that FBI Director James Comey has confirmed her statements on the matter as truthful.

When Chris Wallace noted that Comey said just the reverse, she countered: "Director Comey said that my answers were truthful and what I've said is consistent with what I have told the American people."
Her aides later "clarified" that she was citing Comey's statement that she hadn't lied to the FBI. But the bureau chief's on record saying her repeated public claims are false:

"Secretary Clinton said there was nothing marked classified on her e-mails . . . Was that true?" asked Rep. Trey Gowdy at one hearing. "That's not true," Comey replied.

On top of that, Comey said, FBI agents found 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains with "classified information at the time they were sent or received." That includes eight chains deemed "top secret" and 36 "secret."

Maryland Lays Out Reasons Against New Trial In ‘Serial’ Case

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 03:30 PM PDT

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Baltimore judge was wrong to consider "a novel standalone claim" about the reliability of cellphone tracking evidence in granting a new trial for a man whose murder conviction was re-examined in a popular "Serial" podcast, the Maryland attorney general's office says.

Appealing the decision to retry Adnan Syed, attorneys for the state contend that retired Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Martin Welch should not have ruled that his initial attorneys were constitutionally deficient because they failed to bring into evidence a warning from AT&T.

The cover sheet says: "Outgoing calls only are reliable for location status. Any incoming calls will NOT be considered reliable information for location." The first three words — "Outgoing calls only" — are underlined in the fax AT&T sent to Baltimore police.

Right Wing Nationalist Set To Win Rerun Austrian Presidential Race

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 03:00 PM PDT

Freedom Party candidate Norbert Hofer has widened his lead in a Gallup poll ahead of October's repeat election for the Austrian presidency.

Hofer lost by a whisker in May to former Greens party leader Alexander van der Bellen in an election that Austria's constitutional court this month ordered re-run given vote count irregularities.

A series of Islamist attacks in Europe and Britain's decision to leave the EU since the original vote have shuffled the political deck in neutral Austria.

The poll published by the Oesterreich paper on Sunday showed the midpoint of the wide range of support for Hofer at 52 percent — one point higher than a poll in early July found — versus 48 percent for van der Bellen.

Palestinian Goads Little Boy Into Throwing Stones, Urges Israelis: ‘Shoot Him and Kill Him!’

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 02:30 PM PDT

In a video clip posted on social media this week, a Palestinian man is seen encouraging a small child, possibly three-years-old, to throw stones at armed Israeli border policemen, and yells at the Israelis to shoot the boy.

"Shoot him and kill him!" the man shouts, adding that the Israelis are after all "familiar with shooting and killing kids." He also offers to "bring the other one" – evidently another child.

The man, possibly the boy's father, prods the seemingly reluctant child, wearing red shorts and holding a Palestinian flag, in the direction of the troops, and tells him, "Raise up the flag!"

Then he tells the child to throw stones at the policemen.

Neither the troops nor the child comply with the man's wishes: A police officer offers a hand and high-fives the youngster. The child picks up several stones, tosses them near the verge of the road, as the policemen look on.

'Campus Carry' goes into effect as Texas remembers UT Tower shootings 50 years later

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 02:00 PM PDT

Concealed handgun license holders in Texas can carry their weapons into public university buildings, classrooms and dorms starting Monday, a day that also marks 50 years after the mass shooting at the University of Texas' landmark clock tower.

The campus-carry law pushed by Gov. Greg Abbott and the Republican legislative majority makes Texas one of a handful of states guaranteeing the right to carry concealed handguns on campus.

Texas has allowed concealed handguns in public for 20 years. Gun rights advocates consider it an important protection, given the constitutional right to bear arms, as well as a key self-defense measure in cases of campus violence, such as the 1966 UT shootings and the 2007 shootings at Virginia Tech.

Three Injured In Frederick Co. Crash

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 01:45 PM PDT

Three people were injured this morning in a Frederick County crash on I-70, including a nurse who stopped to help the crash victims and fell from the bridge into the Monocacy River.

The injured are identified as Charles H. Williams, 53, of Baltimore, Md., who was driving a dump truck loaded with concrete, Douglas L. Sexton Jr., 58, of Sparrows Point, Md., who was driving a tractor trailer loaded with asphalt, and Angela M. Weir, 47, a nurse at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, who stopped to help the crash victims. Williams and Weir were both flown by Maryland State Police helicopters to the UM Shock Trauma Center where they are undergoing treatment. Sexton was transported by ambulance to Meritus Hospital for treatment.

At 4:44 a.m. today, the Frederick Barrack received a call from a motorist reporting a commercial truck was traveling westbound on I-70 without any lights illuminating the truck. Minutes later, as troopers attempted to locate the truck, a tractor trailer loaded with asphalt struck the rear of the dump truck while both were traveling westbound on I-70 at the Monocacy River bridge.

After impact, the tractor trailer struck the right concrete wall of the bridge before jack-knifing and catching fire. The dump truck overturned and spilled much of its load of concrete. Both vehicles and the debris field stretched across the width of the bridge, requiring troopers to close the westbound lanes of the interstate.

Angela Weir and her husband were traveling eastbound on I-70 when they saw the crash that had just occurred. Being a trauma nurse, she stopped to assist in providing emergency care to the crash victims. Apparently unaware there was no median between the east and westbound lanes at the scene, Weir fell more than 75 feet into the Monocacy River when she leaped over the bridge wall to attempt to cross to the westbound lanes and the crash scene. Her husband called 911 immediately. A responding trooper pulled her from the water to shore. A Maryland State Police flight paramedic arrived simultaneously and assisted with her care before she was flown from the scene.

Witnesses told investigating troopers the dump truck was traveling westbound at a very slow speed and had no lights illuminating the truck. The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing. Charges are pending.

Personnel from the Maryland Department of Transportation's State Highway Administration CHART team responded quickly and established detours around the area. SHA engineers responded to inspect the bridge. Maryland State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division personnel responded and are inspecting the commercial vehicles involved and assisting with the investigation. State Police motorcycle troopers also assisted with traffic control.

Temporary jersey walls have been put in place on the bridge by the SHA. The roadway was closed from shortly before 5:00 a.m. until just before 8:30 a.m. today.

Md. school asked to accept After School Satan club

WASHINGTON — Most after-school programs involve exercise, hobbies or arts and crafts, but a local elementary school is considering the Satanic Temple's request to open an After School Satan club.

The Satanic Temple contacted about a dozen elementary schools across the country, including Bradbury Heights Elementary, in Capitol Heights, with a request to present its curriculum for an after-school gathering.

The group is open in its opposition to evangelical Christian clubs in schools, in particular the Good News Club, which operates in several local school districts.

School officials in Prince George's County acknowledge receiving the request, and are reviewing it.

Mother Of Benghazi Victim: Hillary Clinton 'Kills People'

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 01:00 PM PDT

Patricia Smith, mother of one of the Americans who was killed in the Benghazi terrorist attack said on Monday that Hillary Clinton "kills people."

Appearing on "CNN Newsroom with Brooke Baldwin" in the wake of Clinton's Fox News Sunday interview where the Democratic nominee criticized Smith's recollection of events surrounding her son Sean's death, Smith said, "I'm very much against the way I was treated. I was treated like dirt. I don't think the Khan family was treated that way but I was treated like dirt, I was called a liar."

Clinton "went on TV many times, and nodding her head thinking that she is so wonderful and she knows everything and I know nothing and I was just imagining this. I don't imagine my son getting killed. I don't imagine that at all. But why would she say that to me and what would she say to the Khans?"

Later Smith added, "We have a rotten government."

Route 50 Drawbridge Gates Damaged By Winds; Lane Closures, Flooding Make Monday Night Traffic A Nightmare

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 12:30 PM PDT

OCEAN CITY — The severe storm that popped up unexpectedly in and around the resort area late Monday afternoon created a domino-effect of sorts around the downtown area that snarled traffic well into Monday evening.

The late Monday afternoon storm included several inches of rain in a short amount of time, a tornado warning, hail and flash flooding in and around the downtown area prone to high water during even modest weather events. Ocean City officials had already cut off traffic to south of the Route 50 Bridge when an accident occurred at the base of the span, further complicating the heavy volume of traffic pouring into the resort. Route 50 eastbound was at a standstill and, anecdotally, a typical 10-minute run from West Ocean City into Ocean City turned into an hour.

Complicating the issue even further was damage caused to the two drawbridge gates on the westbound side of the bridge. State Highway Administration officials said on Monday the two drop-down gates on the westbound side of the bridge that prevent traffic from crossing when the drawbridge is open were snapped off by heavy winds during the sudden Monday afternoon storm and needed to be repaired, causing SHA to close a portion of the westbound lanes on the bridge.

NY Fed Finds 15% Of Americans Have Negative Net Worth; Student Loans Contibute To Record US Wealth Inequality

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 12:00 PM PDT

Two weeks ago, the White House released a report that led to loud heckles among the more pragmatic economic community. As the WSJ described its conclusion: "he growing stack of $1.3 trillion in student debt is helping, not hurting, the U.S. economy" (there was much more in the full report which to many was nothing short of propaganda seeking to spin a $1.3 trillion debt bubble into a good thing).

Today, none other than the NY Fed took the White House to task with a surprisingly accurate (to an extent) analysis, based on a Survey of Consumer Finances, according to which not only do student loans contribute substantially to an emerging problem in US society, namely rising negative household net worth, but is also a key driver behind wealth inequality.

This is how the NY Fed explains the methodology:

With respect to assets, we ask respondents how much money is in their defined contribution plan(s)—including 401(k), 403(b), 457 or thrift savings plans—and Individual Retirement Arrangement accounts, which cover the most common channels through which Americans save for retirement. We also ask the respondents about their total savings and investments, such as money in their checking accounts, stocks, and other financial instruments they may possess. Homeowners are asked to self-appraise the current value of their home. Finally, we ask for self-appraised valuations of any additional land, businesses, vehicles, or other assets the respondent's household may own. The measure of total assets is then the sum of financial wealth, retirement wealth, home value, and other assets.

With respect to debt, we ask respondents about their home mortgages and home equity lines of credit, as well as non-housing personal debt in categories such as credit card, student loans, and auto loans, among others. The sum of all these debts constitutes our measure of total debt. We classify households as having negative wealth if their total debt exceeds their total assets, according to our measurements.

Hillary’s Latest Headache: Skolkovo

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 11:00 AM PDT

The subject of Russia's influence in American politics has been a hot topic of late, particularly as the MSM continues to link Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin and the DNC hack. However, a report published by the Government Accountability Institutepresents a new twist in the Kremlin-US political ties. It all started with the 2009 "Russian reset" touted by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

As detailed in a WSJ op-ed by Peter Schweizer (author of the GAI report), after President Obama visited Russia in 2009, both nations agreed to "identifying areas of cooperation and pursuing joint projects and actions that strengthen strategic stability, international security, economic well-being, and the development of ties between the Russian and American people."

One such project was Skolkovo, an "innovation city" of 30,000 people on the outskirts of Moscow, billed as Russia's version of Silicon Valley. As chief diplomat, Hillary was in charge of courting US companies to invest in this new Russian city. Russia, on the other hand, had committed to spend $5 billion over the next three years (2009-12).

Black Lives Matter’s New Bucket List of Demands Reminds Us It’s All Based On A Lie

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 10:30 AM PDT

Black Lives Matter's release of a laundry list of demands is so confusing, so far-fetched, and so wholly devoid of addressing any real issues affecting the black community that the only plausible explanation is that the entire movement is based on a lie.

Which, of course, it is.

The operatives of this far-left dream, masquerading as a movement for the black community, must have sensed that the nation is tiring of their vitriol and hate, as this latest move is more about moving the goal-posts on the public than providing any solutions that will actually help the black community.

Rather than putting forth concrete, solvable solutions to their so-called grievances, of which many are self-inflicted pathologies brought on by underclass cultural dysfunction, Black Lives Matter reveals that it has no solution – because there is no problem that cannot be solved in the American ghetto by adapting to cultural norms like functioning families.

U.S. Border Protection Agcy. Advertises SAFE ZONES for Illegal Aliens

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 10:00 AM PDT

Just about any illegal alien can avoid arrest by following these simple rules, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) advertises in a post on its website's homepage.

Providing a virtual "how-to" guide for illegal aliens in its"Sensitive Locations FAQs," CBP explains that immigration laws are not to be enforced at any of a wide range of designated "sensitive locations" – so that illegal aliens may be "free" to live their lives "without fear or hesitation":

"The policies provide that enforcement actions at or focused on sensitive locations such as schools, places of worship, and hospitals should generally be avoided, and that such actions may only take place when (a) prior approval is obtained from an appropriate supervisory official, or (b) there are exigent circumstances necessitating immediate action without supervisor approval. The policies are meant to ensure that ICE and CBP officers and agents exercise sound judgment when enforcing federal law at or focused on sensitive locations, to enhance the public understanding and trust, and to ensure that people seeking to participate in activities or utilize services provided at any sensitive location are free to do so, without fear or hesitation."

"This policy is designed to ensure that these enforcement actions do not occurat nor are focused on sensitive locations such as schools and churches" without meeting special exceptions, the ICE Sensitive Locations Policy states.

Locations covered by these policies include, but are not limited to:
Schools, such as known and licensed daycares, pre-schools and other early learning programs; primary schools; secondary schools; post-secondary schools up to and including colleges and universities; as well as scholastic or education-related activities or events, and school bus stops that are marked and/or known to the officer, during periods when school children are present at the stop;
Medical treatment and health care facilities, such as hospitals, doctors' offices, accredited health clinics, and emergent or urgent care facilities;
Places of worship, such as churches, synagogues, mosques, and temples;
Religious or civil ceremonies or observances, such as funerals and weddings; and
During public demonstration, such as a march, rally, or parade.

So, almost any illegal alien can escape arrest by either walking with a second person (a march), attending some type of class, or finding a nearby church, medical facility or school bus stop.

GOP establishment in full-throttle assault on conservative rebel

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:53 AM PDT

'These are folks who lose at everything they do'

WASHINGTON –
Kansas voters have always liked him. But the Republican establishment apparently loathes him.

U.S. Rep. Tim Huelskamp, R-Kan., coasted to election and won two re-elections. Now he is in fight of his life just to win GOP primary.

The way the congressman sees it, he helped topple the GOP elite's leader, and now they are coming after him in a big way. And with big money.

Suddenly, the Kansan is in a dogfight against what he and his allies identify as a quintessential GOP establishment candidate in the Republican primary election, coming up Tuesday, Aug. 2.

One Kansas poll has the race as a dead heat, while Huelskamp's own polling gives him a nine-point lead. (More details below.)

DNC Prays to 'God of Many Names'

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:45 AM PDT

Methodist pastor invokes one world religion

An invocation by a Methodist pastor at the Democratic National Convention last week called on Hillary supporters to pray to a "God of many names."

"O God of many names, we know that You call us to work hard to bring people together," Reverend Bill Shillady opened his remarks during the last night of the Democratic National Convention.

The comments carry eerily ominous tones portending a one world religion, in which one prescribed "God" would rule all, and dovetail sentiments espoused by Pope Francis calling for "a new humanity" and insisting Christians and Muslims both "worship the one God…"

Trump Blasts CNN: Soon to be ‘least trusted name in news’ if they keep Shilling for Hillary

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:37 AM PDT

Trump has previously labeled CNN the "Clinton News Network"

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump slammed cable news network CNN on Monday in a series of tweets accusing them of shilling for Democrat opponent Hillary Clinton.

Ranting about the unfair coverage and constant barrage of attacks from the "Most Trusted Name in News," Trump blasted the network, its reports and its anchors for openly backing the former Secretary of State.

Trump also warned that if the network continued their dishonest reporting, it would soon see its "trustworthiness" sink like that of "Crooked" Hillary Clinton.

Panic Mode: Khizr Khan Deletes Law Firm Website that Specialized in Muslim Immigration

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:30 AM PDT

Khizr Khan, the Muslim Gold Star father that Democrats and their allies media wide have been using to hammer GOP presidential nominee Donald J. Trump, has deleted his law firm's website from the Internet.

This development is significant, as his website proved—as Breitbart News and others have reported—that he financially benefits from unfettered pay-to-play Muslim migration into America.

A snapshot of his now deleted website, as captured by the Wayback Machine which takes snapshots archiving various websites on the Internet, shows that as a lawyer he engages in procurement of EB5 immigration visas and other "Related Immigration Services."

The website is completely removed from the Internet, and instead directs visitors to the URL at which it once was to a page parking the URL run by GoDaddy.

The EB5 program, which helps wealthy foreigners usually from the Middle East essentially buy their way into America, is fraught with corruption. U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has detailed such corruption over the past several months, and in February issued a blistering statement about it.

DHS Grants Syrians Temporary Amnesty

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:23 AM PDT

Homeland Security granted a new temporary amnesty Monday to more than 8,000 Syrians living in the U.S. right now, saying they can remain for up to 18 months longer no matter what their legal status.

Secretary Jeh Johnson issued "temporary protected status" to Syrians, saying that if they are in the U.S. as of Monday and continue to reside here permanently, they can apply for work permits and other documents to remain and live in the U.S. without fear of being ousted.

His order applies to some 5,800 Syrians who were granted status under a 2012 TPS program, and 2,500 new arrivals who don't have a more permanent status here.

"Syria's lengthy civil conflict has resulted in high levels of food insecurity, limited access to water and medical care, and massive destruction of Syria's infrastructure. Attacks against civilians, the use of chemical weapons and irregular warfare tactics, as well as forced conscription and use of child soldiers have intensified the humanitarian crisis," Mr. Johnson said in announcing the new program.

JUST IN: Police officer for D.C. subway system accused of trying to help ISIS

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:17 AM PDT

A Metro Transit police officer has been arrested and charged with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State, marking the first time a U.S. law enforcement officer has been accused of trying to aid the terrorist group.

Nicholas Young, 36, of Fairfax, Va., was arrested Wednesday morning at Metropolitan Police Headquarters in Washington and his employment was terminated. Young, at the request of an undercover federal agent, sent codes for mobile messaging cards that Young believed would be used by Islamic State fighters overseas to communicate, according to an indictment filed in federal court in Alexandria, Va.

Authorities said there was never any credible or specific threat to the Metro system. Metro Transit Police Chief Ron Pavlik said in a statement that the investigation into Young began years ago when his office went to the FBI with concerns.

According to authorities, Young has been with the Metro police since 2003 and has been monitored regularly by the FBI, working with Metro police, since 2010.

Princeton Russia Expert Calls Out Clinton on Trump Smears

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:15 AM PDT

Stephen F. Cohen, professor emeritus of Russian studies at Princeton and New York University, slammed Hillary Clinton for distorting Donald Trump's relationship to Russia on CNN's "Smerconish" show early Saturday, according to The Daily Caller.

Democrats have floated the idea that Trump has undisclosed connections with Russia, and irresponsibly so, according to Cohen. The "reckless branding of Trump as a Russian agent, most of it is coming from the Clinton campaign," he said. "And they really need to stop."

"We're approaching a Cuban Missile Crisis level nuclear confrontation with Russia," Cohen continued. "And there is absolutely no discussion, no debate about this in the American media."

The United States and Russia are in a "New Cold War," which Trump is trying to end, according to Cohen, but he said the media haven't been listening.

"Then along comes, unexpectedly, Donald Trump, who says he wants to end the New Cold War, and cooperate with Russia in various places ... and – astonishingly – the media is full of what only can be called neo-McCarthyite charges that he is a Russian agent, that he is a 'Manchurian candidate,' and that he is (Vladimir) Putin's client."

Judicial Watch: IRS Buried Tea Party Tax-Exemption Bids

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:07 AM PDT

Newly-released FBI documents reveal the IRS used bureaucratic delays to stall tax exemption applications by conservative groups in a bid to crush opposition to President Barack Obama's reelection bid.

The documents, obtained by the government watchdog group Judicial Watch, show tea party bids being automatically denied approval.

They were assigned to a special "Group 7822" for an extended "inventory" process all the way up to the 2012 general election.

One IRS manager in Cincinnati told the FBI that "Group 7822" was simply a place for the tea party cases to be held in inventory until guidance from the agency's Washington office was received.

German online retailers return to brick-and-mortar stores

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 09:00 AM PDT

BERLIN — The history of modern retailing runs like this: Mom-and-pop shops fall prey to superstores that, in turn, get squeezed out by the international giants of online commerce.

Germany, however, is writing a chapter that is injecting fresh life into main streets and shopping malls around the country.

Struggling to compete with e-commerce global behemoths such as Amazon, Germany's online retailers are moving back to bricks-and-mortar in order to attract "omni-channel" clients — customers who want to be able to blend the benefits of online browsing with shopping in cool, real-world stores.

Take Helmar Hipp, CEO of Cyberport, a Dresden-based home electronics retailer that boasts an online catalog to rival that of any technology superstore. It recently opened 15 stores across Germany and Austria to offer the discerning customer a high-end shopping experience.

"We like to run our stores like a small fashion boutique that can connect people with the products that are relevant to them," said Mr. Hipp.

The trend is responding to the needs of clients whose shopping experience could include researching a product online, buying it in-store, returning it through the mail and receiving a different model via a website, said Martin Gersch, an e-commerce professor at Berlin's Humboldt University.

It's a model that can help German digital operators poach buyers from American internet leaders, he said.

"There are fields where German online retailers can't offer lower prices in comparison with companies like Amazon, so they have to compete by offering a better way to purchase items," said Mr. Gersch. "Many startups find a niche where customers are prepared to pay more and thereby avoid competing directly with industry giants."

Running flagship real-world locations enables internet-based companies to connect directly with their clients. "It is still important for people to go to the stores, try out new technologies and to become familiar with the brand," Mr. Gersch said.

Bombshell Connection Between Khizr Khan and Radical Islam Revealed

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 08:45 AM PDT

When Khizr Khan, the Muslim Gold Star father of slain U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, delivered a pointed address at the Democratic National Convention largely aimed at attacking Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, the media cheered, praising this good man for coming forward to share his sad tale.

The narrative put forward by the media seemed to imply that the relatively unknown Khan reluctantly agreed to publicly share his story, if only to denounce what he viewed as the egregious policy proposed by Trump to temporarily suspend immigration from largely Muslim-populated countries suffering extreme Islamist terrorism.

But according to Breitbart, Khan may not have been an "unknown," and his motives for speaking out may not have been as pure as the media have seemingly implied.

AFTER BIG LOSSES, MARILYN MOSBY LOOKS AT TRYING TO CHANGE THE RULES

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 08:30 AM PDT

Have you noticed that when sensible, neutral, and longstanding rules and policies don't produce the racial outcomes desired by the left, it calls for changing those rules and policies? Plagued by a lack of solid family structure and constructive role models, young Black studentsas a class behave more poorly than White students and thus are disciplined more often. The solution? Change the disciplinary rules and tolerate disciplinary breakdowns — with disastrous consequences for students Black and White.

When Black students apply for college they perform abysmally as a class on the SAT. The solution? Race norm their scores, effectively adding hundreds of points when comparing their performance to that of White applicants. Or, if you are a state university like the University of Texas (Austin) finesse the SAT by admitting the top 10 percent of students in terms of grades at every high school in the state.

When Blacks are finished with school, as a class they commit a disproportionate number of crimes and thus are incarcerated in disproportionate numbers. The solution? Lobby for changes in the criminal law, including shorter prison sentences. (Never mind that, as Jim Scanlan pointed out in a letter to the American Statistical Association, modifications that reduce adverse criminal justice outcomes tend to increase, not decrease, racial disparities in outcomes. The point is to let Black lawbreakers off the hook, not to cure "disparate impact.")

And while you're at it, try to discredit the police force as racist.

Uh oh: Debbie Wasserman Schultz just got CRIMINALLY bad news…

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 08:15 AM PDT

The past few weeks haven't been good for Debbie Wasserman Schultz's public image. Following the DNC email hack, she resigned her position as chairperson of the Democratic National Committee amid ethics concerns (for tipping the race in favor of Hillary) — and then was appropriately hired by Hillary Clinton's campaign immediately after.

As hard as it is to picture anyone connected to Hillary Clinton facing legal repercussions for their misdeeds, that may now be a possibility for Debbie. And that's thanks to another Democrat. The Washington Free Beacon's Natalie Johnson reports: Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz's primary challenger is filing a complaint with the Federal Election Committee claiming that the outgoing DNC chairwoman wrongfully used DNC resources to target his campaign.

Tim Canova, a law professor and supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders, said his campaign lawyers found evidence that Schultz violated FEC rules among the recent WikiLeaks disclosures that forced the chairwoman's resignation.

Hungary's PM Orban: Trump "Better Option For Europe"

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 08:15 AM PDT

With terrorism raging in Europe, Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary came out and publicly stated that the anti-terrorism proposals of Donald Trump make him the better option for Europe and Hungary.

The anti-terrorism proposals of U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump make him the better option for Europe and Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Saturday.

Orban, who has built razor-wire border fences to stop migrants, said in Romania that Trump's ideas about the need for the best intelligence services and his opposition to "democracy export" were also applicable in Europe.

"I am not Donald Trump's campaigner," the Hungarian leader said at a cultural event in Baile Tusnad, Romania, an area with a large Hungarian population. "I never thought that the idea would ever occur to me that he is the better of the open options for Europe and Hungary.

"I listened to (Trump) and I have to tell you that he made three proposals to stop terrorism. And as a European, I myself could not have drawn up better what Europe needs."

Theresa May: The new UK leader’s drug policy

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 08:00 AM PDT

Theresa May is set to become prime minister of the United Kingdom tomorrow. While serving as home secretary, May has supported a prohibitionist approach to drugs, and has overseen the annual number of drug deaths rising to its highest level since 1993.

In 2010, Theresa May was appointed as home secretary, a cabinet position which involves leading the implementation of the government's drug policies. In a 2011 letter sent to Release, the national centre of drug expertise, May declared a commitment to an "evidence based" approach to help "dependent users come off drugs for good". In 2012, in a review of the Government's drug strategy, May outlined plans to "protect the public from the harms that drugs can cause to individuals, their families and society as a whole". Unfortunately, her rhetoric did not match up with results.

In 2014, two years after May's vow to protect the public, the number of drug poisoning deaths in England and Wales rose to 3,346; representing a 28 per cent rise since 2012.

Converse to her claims, many of the drug policies implemented during her tenure were far from "evidence based". For example, in 2014, she banned the production, sale, and possession of khat, a herbal mixture and mild stimulant, despite stiff opposition from scientific bodies.

The Advisory Council on the Misuses of Drugs (ACMD) reported that "khat has no direct causal link to adverse medical effects", and that its prohibition would be "inappropriate and disproportionate". Despite this guidance, May pursued the khat ban, telling Parliament that it was needed to "protect vulnerable members of our communities". In her attempt to protect people, she pushed a £13.8 million industry into the criminal market, and threatened those who continued to distribute khat with up to 14 year imprisonment.

The khat ban was, however, not the final time that Theresa May created a lucrative criminal market in the UK. Between 2010 and 2015, the Government enacted legislation to ban more than 350 substances from being produced or sold, the Telegraph reported.

Then came the pièce de résistance of her drug policy approach, which was remarkably innovative; she banned almost everything. Even drugs that hadn't been invented yet.

First Outbreak of Locally Transmitted Zika Virus Confirmed in Continental US

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 07:45 AM PDT

An outbreak of the Zika virus has been confirmed in Florida, marking the first time the virus has been found to be transmitted via infected mosquitoes within the continental U.S.

The outbreak has infected at least four people, three men and one woman, through local transmission, Florida officials said today.

"This means Florida has become the first state in our nation to have local transmission of the Zika virus," Florida Gov. Rick Scott said today.

Scott said a small area in northern Miami that is about a square mile in size is the only area where the Zika virus is being transmitted from mosquitoes to people.

"We're being very aggressive at testing people there we are testing the mosquitoes there and we spraying to make sure it's contained," Scott said. He said health officials do not think that the transmission was ongoing.

75% in U.S. See Widespread Government Corruption

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 07:37 AM PDT

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Three in four Americans (75%) last year perceived corruption as widespread in the country's government. This figure is up from two in three in 2007 (67%) and 2009 (66%).

While the numbers have fluctuated slightly since 2007, the trend has been largely stable since 2010. However, the percentage of U.S. adults who see corruption as pervasive has never been less than a majority in the past decade, which has had no shortage of controversies from the U.S. Justice Department's firings of U.S. attorneys to the IRS scandal.

Woman Fatally Shot By Baltimore Co. Police Had History Of Anti-Government Sentiment

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 07:30 AM PDT

Baltimore County Police say the Randallstown woman killed in a standoff with officers Monday had a history of anti-government views.

Korryn Gaines, 23, engaged in an hours-long barricade after officers attempted to serve arrest warrants on her and her boyfriend at the apartment in the unit block of Sulky Court.

One officer got a key from the landlord and opened the apartment after no one responded to repeated knocks. The officer saw Gaines sitting on the floor, pointing a long gun at him, police said. The officers retreated to the hallway, and the boyfriend exited through the front door with a 1-year-old boy, authorities said.

That man, later identified as 39-year-old Kareem Kiean Courtney, was arrested on his outstanding warrant for second-degree assault and later released on his own recognizance. The alleged June assault was against Gaines, according to a police report released Tuesday afternoon. That report is attached above. Gaines alleged at the time that Courtney attempted to strike her with a chair.

Report: Recruitment of Child Terrorists by Palestinians Ignored by U.N.

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 07:00 AM PDT

At least 42 Palestinian child terrorists have attempted 36 attacks from the second half of 2015 until May 2016, according to a new report obtained exclusively by the Washington Free Beacon that criticizes the United Nations for omitting these statistics from its official records on the use of child soldiers.

The U.N. is slated to discuss its annual report on Children and Armed Conflict this week. Its section on Palestinian children states, "Limited information is available about the recruitment or use of children."

However, a counter-report issued by a leading human rights organization calls this finding into question by detailing at least 36 instances in which Palestinian children have attempted to carry out terrorist attacks.

Insiders apprised of the findings say the U.N.'s omission of these statistics calls into question the integrity of its report and provides further evidence of a deep anti-Israel bias at the organization.

Khizr Khan Believes the Constitution ‘Must Always Be Subordinated to the Sharia’

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 07:01 AM PDT

Notwithstanding his war-hero son's genuinely patriotic example, Khizr M. Khan has published papers supporting the supremacy of Islamic law over "man-made" Western law — including the very Constitution he championed in his Democratic National Convention speech attacking GOP presidential nod Donald Trump.

In 1983, for example, Khan wrote a glowing review of a book compiled from a seminar held in Kuwait called "Human Rights In Islam" in which he singles out for praise the keynote address of fellow Pakistani Allah K. Brohi, a pro-jihad Islamic jurist who was one of the closest advisers to late Pakistani dictator Gen. Zia ul-Haq, the father of the Taliban movement.

Khan speaks admiringly of Brohi's interpretation of human rights, even though it included the right to kill and mutilate those who violate Islamic laws and even the right of men to "beat" wives who act "unseemly."

As Pakistani minister of law and religious affairs, Brohi helped create hundreds of jihadi incubators called madrassas and restored Sharia punishments, such as amputations for theft and demands that rape victims produce four male witnesses or face adultery charges. He also made insulting the Muslim prophet Muhammad a crime punishable by death. To speed the Islamization of Pakistan, he and Zia issued a law that required judges to consult mullahs on every judicial decision for Sharia compliance.

Khan, who says he immigrated to the U.S. in 1980 to escape Pakistan's "military rule," nonetheless spoke admiringly of Brohi in his review of his speech. He praised his remarks even though Brohi advocated for the enforcement of the medieval Sharia punishments, known as "hudood" (singular "hadd"), that were later adopted and carried out with brutal efficiency by the Taliban in neighboring Afghanistan.

Divinely ordained punishments have to be inflicted," Brohi asserted, "and there is very little option for the judge called upon to impose Hadd, if facts and circumstances are established that the Hadd in question has been transgressed, to refuse to impose the punishment."

Of course, such cruel and unusual Sharia punishments, ranging from stonings and floggings to beheadings, would be a flagrant violation of the Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution.

Clinton Cash: Khizr Khan’s Deep Legal, Financial Connections to Saudi Arabia, Hillary’s Clinton Foundation Tie Terror, Immigration, Email Scandals Together

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 06:53 AM PDT

Khizr Khan, the Muslim Gold Star father that the mainstream media and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have been using to criticize Donald J. Trump, has deep ties to the government of Saudi Arabia—and to international Islamist investors through his own law firm. In addition to those ties to the wealthy Islamist nation, Khan also has ties to controversial immigration programs that wealthy foreigners can use to essentially buy their way into the United States—and has deep ties to the "Clinton Cash" narrative through the Clinton Foundation.

Khan and his wife Ghazala Khan both appeared on stage at the Democratic National Convention to attack, on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's behalf, Donald Trump—the Republican nominee for president. Their son, U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan, was killed in Iraq in 2004. Khizr Khan, in his speech to the DNC, lambasted Donald Trump for wanting to temporarily halt Islamic migration to America from countries with a proven history of exporting terrorists.

Since then, Clinton operative George Stephanopoulos—who served as a senior adviser to the president in Bill Clinton's White House and is a Clinton Foundation donor as well as a host on the ABC network—pushed Trump on the matter in an interview. Trump's comments in that interview have sparked the same mini-rebellion inside his party, in the media and across the aisle that has happened many times before. The usual suspects inside the GOP, from former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to House Speaker Paul Ryan to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to Ohio Gov. John Kasich, have condemned Trump in one way or another. The media condemnation has been swift and Democrats, as well their friends throughout media, are driving the train as fast as they can.

STATEMENT ON POLICE-INVOLVED SHOOTING OF KORRYN GAINES

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 06:30 AM PDT

The shooting of Korryn Gaines and her young son is a tragedy that, from all that has been reported thus far, could have been avoided on all sides. Put simply, it should be an explicit goal for police in every encounter that all of the people, both the police and the community that they serve and protect, survive the encounter. And from what we know today about the Baltimore County Police Department's response to Ms. Gaines, police failed to honor that goal, with devastating results.

In situations like this, police departments typically focus on the ways in which the civilian escalated the situation and made the use of deadly force "necessary." But if civilians never escalated situations, and always acted calmly, and always submitted willingly and quietly to authority, there would be little need for police in the first place, and no need for armed police. Of course, that isn't the world we live in. And too often a double standard exists for Black Americans, whose wielding of guns is met with less patience by police.

Police have a moral obligation, and should have a legal obligation, to act in ways that don't predictably result in the opportunity or necessity to use force. Here, for example, police decided, for reasons not yet clear, after seven hours of negotiation and waiting, that they could not wait any longer to execute a warrant for failing to appear for a minor traffic offense. And they further decided that they needed to use deadly force to execute that warrant, and needed to expose themselves to the known risk of deadly force being used on them, knowing that a five year old child might be in the line of fire.

That tactical decision led directly to yesterday's deadly outcome, as much as any choices made by Ms. Gaines. And it wasn't the only choice possible, and isn't the choice any officer or department would make if the goal is to ensure that all parties survive the encounter.

If we are to stem the toll of police violence in this country, especially against Black and Brown Americans, and make policing itself safer, the laws, policies, and tactical training of officers has to change to explicitly align with the goal that everyone makes it out alive. As long as we fail to do that more children will tragically be left without mothers and fathers. #KorrynGaines #BlackLivesMatter

Ohio mayor that restricted Trump crowd size today campaigned with Hillary YESTERDAY

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 06:15 AM PDT

Is the city of Columbus, Ohio playing dirty tricks on Donald Trump?

Less than 24 hours ago, Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther campaigned with Hillary Clinton during a visit to the city.

He even got a shout out from the candidate herself, with Clinton telling the crowd she was happy to be in his capital city, according to her speech posted on YouTube (17:35).
"We are so honored to have such a great outpouring of support for Secretary Clinton in the most important city in the most important state in America. I need a partner in the White House that can deliver."

Today, Ginther seemingly delivered for Clinton.

The city of Columbus restricted the capacity of Donald Trump's crowd, leaving a lot of people unable to get inside.

"Hey, maybe they're a Hillary person," Trump speculated about city leaders — quite accurately — according to Politico. "Could that be possible? Probably. I don't think there are too many of them."

The Columbus Convention Center only allowed 1,000 people inside, despite the cavernous space.

"So have 1,000 people in there. They won't allow any more," Trump said. "The fire marshal said he's not allowed to allow any more even though the building holds many thousands of people. So I just wanted to tell you that. That's politics at its lowest. You ought to check it out, but it's really politics at its lowest."

The fire marshal blamed construction for blocking exits as the reason for the restricted crowd size.

Dick Morris Corrects the Record on Hillary Clinton

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 06:07 AM PDT

Dick Morris is a nationally recognized political campaign adviser, analyst and author. He was the senior political adviser to Bill Clinton before and after his occupation of the White House. He was campaign manager of Clinton's 1996 re-election, and the architect of his successful "triangulation" rhetorical ruse. Clinton's communications director George Stephanopoulos said of Morris, "No single person had more power over [Bill Clinton]."

This week, in a message entitled "What Bill Left Out, Morris corrected the record regarding Clinton's glowing remarks about Hillary Clinton, her personal attributes and professional achievements. Morris's insights into the Clintons are priceless.

What follows is a transcript of Morris's comments:

"Bill Clinton talked at length about Hillary's idealistic work in college and law school, but he omits that she was defending the Black Panthers who killed security guards; they were on trial in New Haven. She monitored the trial while she was in law school to find evidence that could be grounds for reversal in the event they were convicted.

"That summer she went to work for the True-Haft (SP) law firm in CA, headed by True Haft who is the head of the CA Communist Party and that's when she got involved with Saul Alinsky, who became something of a mentor for the rest of her life.

"Then Bill says that she went off to Massachusetts and he went to Arkansas, and eventually Hillary followed her heart to join him in Arkansas. He omits that she went to work for the Watergate Committee and was fired from that job for taking home evidence and hiding documents that they needed in the impeachment inquiry. Then she took the DC Bar exam and flunked it, she went to Arkansas because that is the only bar exam she could pass.

There's lots more corrections here..

Welfare is the new work

The welfare state of mind has spiraled out of control in America

Two recent news stories highlight how pernicious the welfare state has become in America today.

The first was an announcement by the feds that food stamps can be used to have groceries delivered right to a recipient's door. Service with a smile. The Obama administration says it is too much of a hardship for those on welfare to actually travel to the grocery store. What's next? Cooking the meal for them? If only the DMV would do home deliveries for drivers licenses.

The second story was about the hullabaloo over a proposal by Maine governor Paul LePage to prohibit food stamp recipients from using their food aid to purchase junk foods like sugary soft drinks and candy bars. He says that the state has an obesity problem and he will "implement reform unilaterally or cease Maine's administration of the food stamp program altogether." The Obama administration rejected his request and the left activists act as if the idea that a welfare recipient can't buy a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream at taxpayer expense is a violation of civil liberties.

The welfare/entitlement state of mind has spiraled out of control in America. No one is lifting a finger of opposition. The cost of welfare is now well over $1 trillion a year. Food stamps are so ubiquitous that they have replaced dollars as the new standard currency in many inner cities in America. Even in affluent areas with upscale grocery stores, food stamp recipients fill their carts with everything from cakes to lobster.

Clean House: Exposing Government Secrets and Lies
By: Tom Fitton

If you recall, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes and "The Adventure of Sliver Blaze," Sherlock solves the mystery of who stole the great race horse Silver Blaze by explaining the dog that didn't bark.

Holmes emphasized the dog made no noise because no stranger was there, which allowed Silver Blaze to be led out of his stall without any commotion.

Similarly, voter fraud in the United States is like the dog that didn't bark – it happens in every election and we hear about it – we just don't catch the perpetrators in the act.

Fortunately, I was lucky enough to obtain the entire chapter on "Voter Fraud" for you in the soon-to-be best seller: Clean House: Exposing Government Secrets and Lies by Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, which will be released on August 30, 2016.

And I can promise you one thing, Clean House not only barks – it bites!

ISIS Mocks Those Who Claim Islam is a Peaceful Religion

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 05:50 AM PDT

In the new edition of its full-color, glossy magazine, ISIS mocks those who claim Islam is a peaceful religion, and even wades into the controversy surrounding Donald Trump and the parents of a dead Muslim U.S. soldier.

The 15th issue of Dabiq, published on July 31, is titled "Break The Cross" and appears to be primarily directed at those that ISIS considers its enemies, particularly Christians. One section is devoted to the words and actions of Pope Francis and is headlined "In The Words Of Our Enemies." An editorial titled "Why We Hate You and Why We Fight You" takes aim at Westerners and "apostate 'Imams' in the West" who refuse to define ISIS' motivation as being Islamic. ISIS calls this rhetoric purely political.

"Many Westerners, however, are already aware that claiming the attacks of the mujahidin to be senseless and questioning incessantly as to why we hate the West and why we fight them is nothing more than a political act and a propaganda tool," the article says. "The politicians will say it regardless of how much it stands in opposition to facts and common sense just to garner as many votes as they can for the next election cycle."

The argument echoes a current debate in the U.S. between some on the right who have been vocal about challenging high-ranking left-leaning politicians to specifically label the ISIS threat as "radical Islamic terror." President Obama has said on multiple occasions that he has refused to use the term in an effort to avoid lending religious legitimacy to the terror group.

The ISIS author of the "Why We Hate You" piece aims to settle the argument, and "clarify" in "unequivocal terms" that ISIS is Islamic. The author says that those on the "social fringe" who identify Islam with ISIS are correct.

Physician Marshall OUSTS US Rep. Huelskamp in Kansas primary

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 05:09 AM PDT

NOTE: Incumbent, Tim Huelskamp is vocally a NeverTrump Republican while his contender, Dr. Roger Marshall vocally supports Donald Trump.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) — A doctor backed by agriculture and business groups ousted U.S. Rep. Tim Huelskamp Tuesday in a Kansas Republican primary race that focused on the tea party-backed incumbent's battles with GOP leaders and criticism that he was too cantankerous to be effective.

Great Bend obstetrician Roger Marshall won the tough contest against Huelskamp in the 1st District, which spans western and much of central Kansas.

Huelskamp is one of only a handful of House members to be ousted in this year's primary season.

Rep. Renee Ellmers fell to fellow North Carolina GOP Rep. George Holding, and Virginia Republican Rep. Randy Forbes also lost, victims of court-ordered, redrawn district lines.

Rep. Chaka Fattah, D-Pa., was defeated in April after indictment on federal corruption charges. He was later convicted and quit Congress.

Marshall's supporters argued Huelskamp's combativeness harmed the district. Huelskamp lost his seat on the House Agriculture Committee in 2012; farm groups turned against him, and many Republican voters saw it as a crucial issue in a farm state.

Panic Mode: Khizr Khan Deletes Law Firm Website that Specialized in Muslim Immigration

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 04:30 AM PDT

Hillary Clinton's firearms falsehoods

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 04:00 AM PDT

Contrary to her denials, she would abolish the Second Amendment

Donald Trump keeps calling his Democratic opponent "Lyin' Hillary," and poll after poll shows that though most voters might shy away from Mr. Trump's blunt characterization of Hillary Clinton, they share his belief that the lady cannot really be trusted or believed. Her penchant for, well, lying was on display last week in Philadelphia even as she tried to assure those watching that she can, in fact, be trusted.

Mrs. Clinton looked into the cameras during her acceptance speech at Philadelphia's Democratic National Convention last Thursday and said with a straight face, "I'm not here to repeal the Second Amendment. I'm not here to take away your guns." Those words were a response to Donald Trump's assertion in speaking to the National Rifle Association in Louisville, Ky., earlier this summer that if elected, Mrs. Clinton would "abolish the Second Amendment." Based on her earlier statements on the issue, it was a lie.

The sentence also echoed President Obama's assertion during both his 2008 and 2012 campaigns that he is a "believer" in the Second Amendment who would "never take your pistol, shotgun or rifle." His words were meant to reassure America's gun owners, Second Amendment supporters, hunters and sport shooters that they had nothing to fear. It worked to a degree because prior to the beginning of his second term he hadn't posed much of a threat to their rights; he was too busy doing other things and didn't want to risk an anti-firearms crusade before being re-elected.

Dessert Ideas That Will Cool Your Sweet Tooth Without Giving You Sugar Shock

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 03:00 AM PDT

When long-hot summers drag on, with feels-like temperatures rocketing over 100 degrees, you may feel the need to seriously chill.
One way to take the edge off: fresh and frosty desserts. And if there are options for healthier versions of those same desserts – well, that's even cooler.
Chef Blakely Trettenero, who writes about her culinary adventures on her blog, Everyday Gourmet with Blakely (www.gourmetwithblakely.com), is offering up recipes for tasty treats that won't make you break a sweat or send you into sugar shock.
"I can see myself enjoying any of these delicious goodies on a warm Florida day," says the chef from Fort Myers.
Trettenero taps into summer with peaches, popsicles and her great-grandmother's wannabe snow cones called Granita.
"It is extremely easy to make," she says. "You can store it away and do like I do – pop your head into the freezer every other night, OK, EVERY night, and get a big spoonful."
The Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef also encourages cooks to look beyond white sugar when making these desserts, suggesting substituting honey to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Honey is a natural sweetener that, when used in moderation, offers beneficial antioxidant properties not present in processed sugar.
Trettenero also touts her Breakfast Popsicles as a dessert option that leans heavily on yogurt and fresh fruit, making it healthier than most anything on a stick found in your grocer's freezer.
"It is so tasty and beautiful," Trettenero says of the layered dessert. "You'll feel as if you're eating something naughty, but actually it's healthy!"
Beat the heat at the pool or the beach with these refreshing recipes:

Here's Why Jebpublicans Support Hillary

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 02:30 AM PDT

Did you know the Bushes & Clintons party together?

Jeb Bush's top adviser, Sally Bradshaw, has left the GOP and will likely vote for Hillary Clinton, which underscores the close friendship between the Bushes and Clintons.

Bradshaw, who served as Bush's senior adviser to his 2016 campaign, claimed Donald Trump is a "bigot" in an interview with CNN.

"Donald Trump cannot be elected president," she said. "As much as I don't want another four years of Obama's policies, I can't look my children in the eye and tell them I voted for Donald Trump."

Donald Trump blasts DNC speakers and accuses Obama of ignoring the 'real' issues

Posted: 03 Aug 2016 02:00 AM PDT

The Donald Trump campaign derided the third night of the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia and issued a lengthy response to those who gave speeches during the evening declaring, 'Tonight was a sad night for the Democratic party.'

The statement which was written by senior policy advisor Stephen Miller, says that all of the night's speakers that saw Joe Biden, Tim Kaine, and President Obama take to the podium, ignored the real problems facing Americans and showed how disconnected they are.

'Instead of dealing with reality,' the statement says, 'they spoke in cheap, petty terms beneath the dignity of a convention.'

Transition Your Child’s Summer Sleep Schedule to be School Ready

According to a recent NBC News article, keeping sleep schedules the same everyday is very important because adopting an irregular schedule during summer vacation means it will be harder to readapt when school starts again.

Sleep industry leader and credentialed clinical sleep educator Terry Cralle, RN, MS, CPHQ, has years of experience educating people on the power of sleep. As the author of the new "Sleeping Your Way To The Top" and the children's book "Snoozby and the Great Big Bedtime Battle" and as the national spokesperson for the Better Sleep Council, Terry is passionate about spreading the importance of healthy sleep, especially when it comes to the development of children. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Start School Later, Inc. which advocates for later school start times to eliminate teen sleep deprivation. Terry also works closely with the Pajama Program which is a national nonprofit devoted to giving books and pajamas to children in need.

When children miss out on sleep it will likely affect their long-term physical and mental development. Sleep is critical for children and poor sleep schedules can result in problems with childhood obesity, mood and behavior issues, depression, misdiagnosis of ADHD, and poor school performance.
