Was Hillary’s Russian ‘reset’ really a ‘sellout’

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 09:00 PM PDT

New questions about donations to foundation while tech companies developing Moscow's 'Silicon Valley'

An Associated Press investigation showing more than half of the visitors to Hillary Clinton's State Department office from outside government gave money to the Clinton Foundation are raising the profile of long-simmering questions about whether her "reset" with Russia actually was a "sellout."

AP's report on its review of visitors to Clinton's State office and those who gave money to her family's foundation understated, "It's an extraordinary proportion indicating her possible ethics challenges if elected president."

The appearance of cash-for-access already had been raised in connection with Russia, its tech development efforts and American secrets by Peter Schweizer, the author of "Clinton Cash" and the president of the Government Accountability Institute.

BIAS ALERT: New York Times finds latest Clinton Foundation bombshell unfit to print

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 08:00 PM PDT

If you look hard enough, you find there's usually a reason for everything -- even at The New York Times.

But whatever the reason -- maybe it was the story about a parasite jeopardizing fly fishing in Montana, or those Russian hackers who attacked the Gray Lady's Moscow bureau -- the latest Clinton Foundation bombshell couldn't be found among "All the News That's Fit to Print."

The Associated Press scoop Tuesday found that at least 85 of 154 people who got an audience with Hillary Clinton while she led the State Department had donated to her family charity. Combined, the 85 donors contributed as much as $156 million and included private citizens with business before the government. It's as close to a "pay to play" smoking gun as has emerged to date.

"The meetings between the Democratic presidential nominee and foundation donors do not appear to violate legal agreements Clinton and former president Bill Clinton signed before she joined the State Department in 2009," the AP wrote. "But the frequency of the overlaps shows the intermingling of access and donations, and fuels perceptions that giving the foundation money was a price of admission for face time with Clinton."

There’s one thing about our Olympics team NO ONE will discuss…so I will

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 07:30 PM PDT

Well, the 2016 Summer Olympic Games are over and the U.S. completely dominated the final medal count overall. In my assessment, the Olympics kinda ended with a whimper, as the focus became the foolish scandal surrounding Ryan Lochte. But as I was watching the Olympics, and paying attention to some changes in our Department of Defense policy, I must ask a question and seek your thoughts, perspectives and insights. Now that Secretary of Defense Ash Carter, an Obama figurehead, declared all combat duty positions open to females in the U.S. military, I just have to ask: why do we still have male-female separate sports teams?

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, issued a directive, shared here, that there will no longer be gender-biased duty descriptions; everything is gender neutral. You know, no more infantrymen or artillerymen…even no more corpsman. I tend to believe Barack Obama appreciated that since he had issues pronouncing the last one.

So if, when it comes to our national security where progressive socialists don't recognize gender differences, why then is it the case in sports? I mean do we really need NBA and WNBA? Why not just have a single National Basketball Association where everyone gets to try out, male or female. I mean c'mon, if the Secretary of Defense of the United States of America can declare all duty positions in the U.S. military open to females — and Miss USA 2016, Deshauna Barber, an Army logistics officer, can declare women are just as capable as men in combat — why have separate teams?

Chicago's detective force dwindles as murder rate soars

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 07:00 PM PDT

Every two weeks, Cynthia Lewis contacts the detectives investigating the homicide of her brother on Chicago's south side almost a year ago.

They have had no success finding who shot Tyjuan Lewis, a 43-year-old father of 15, near his home in the quiet Roseland neighborhood of single-family houses.

The death of Lewis, who delivered the U.S. mail for 20 years, is one of hundreds of slayings in 2015 that have gone unsolved as the number of homicides soared in Chicago, piling pressure on a shrinking detective force.

In a city with as many as 90 shootings a week, homicides this year are on track to hit their highest level since 1997.

Clinton to be questioned under oath on origins of email server

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 06:00 PM PDT

Hillary Clinton will soon face questions under oath about the reasons she set up and maintained a private email server during her four years as secretary of state.

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, told the Washington Examiner that his group is preparing a set of written questions for Clinton as part of the Freedom of Information Act lawsuit that has already extracted hundreds of documents from the State Department.

Fitton said the questionnaire, which Clinton will be forced to complete within 30 days of receipt, will drill down on the Democratic nominee's shifting stories about why she relied on an unauthorized email network.

Former DOJ Employee Sentenced to Seven Years in Federal Prison for Traveling to Engage In Sex with a Minor

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 05:30 PM PDT

Baltimore, Maryland – U.S. District Judge Ellen L. Hollander sentenced James Cicala, age 55, of Columbia, Maryland today to seven years in prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release, for interstate travel with intent to engage in a sexual act with a minor. Judge Hollander also ordered that upon his release from prison Cicala must register as a sex offender in the place where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Special Agent in Charge Andre R. Watson of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); Worcester County Sheriff Reggie T. Mason, Sr.; and Special Agent in Charge Michael Tompkins, Washington Field Office, U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General.

According to his plea agreement, Cicala was a career employee at the U.S. Department of Justice, providing information technology support. Cicala owned a beach house in Fenwick Island, Delaware. From March 2015 through at least July 21, 2015, Cicala placed multiple ads in the Delaware, Maryland and District of Columbia editions of an online marketplace, seeking females to engage in "daddy-daughter" relationships. On July 21, 2015, an undercover detective with the Worcester County Sheriff's Office who was investigating child solicitation on the internet responded to Cicala's ad entitled "Daddy's Little Girl." The undercover detective identified himself as "Sydney," a 15 year old female, and Cicala identified himself as a male in his late 40's.

Cicala and the undercover detective posing as "Syndey" exchanged messages for several weeks, eventually agreeing to meet to engage in sexually explicit conduct. On August 1, 2015, Cicala traveled from his beach house in Delaware to Berlin, Maryland, to meet "Sydney," who did not show up, later claiming that she was unable to get away. The texting continued and Cicala again made arrangements to meet Sydney on August 15, 2015, in Berlin.

Virtually all of the conversations Cicala had with the undercover officer occurred using Cicala's DOJ-issued phone or work computer, sometimes during work hours. Cicala frequently attempted to engage "Sydney" in sexually explicit chat, instructing her to delete the message, and sent Sydney nude and partially nude photos of himself. However, throughout the text message exchanges "Sydney" refused to send sexually explicit photos or engage in sexually explicit chat.

On August 15, 2015, Cicala traveled from his beach house in Delaware to Berlin, Maryland, to engage in sexual activity with "Sydney," whom he believed to be a 15 year old girl. He was arrested as he arrived at the meeting place. He had his DOJ issued cell phone, which he had used for sending and receiving the texts with "Sydney." In his SUV was bedding, pillows, a giftwrapped box with earrings Cicala had promised to bring "Sydney," and cell phone batteries for the phone "Sydney" told him she used. On August 17, 2015, Cicala was placed on administrative leave by the Department of Justice and is no longer employed by the agency.

At today's hearing, Judge Hollander also signed a preliminary order of forfeiture for the vehicle in which Cicala traveled to have sex with the 15 year old, and its contents, including gifts he had purchased for the girl he thought he was meeting. As part of his supervised release Judge Hollander ordered that Cicala have no access to the internet of any kind, including mobile devices, without approval from U.S. Probation and that he must participate in a sex offender treatment program as directed.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the United States Attorneys' Offices and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims. For more information about Project Safe Childhood, please visit www.justice.gov/psc. For more information about internet safety education, please visit www.justice.gov/psc and click on the "resources" tab on the left of the page.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended the HSI Baltimore, Worcester County Sheriff's Office and DOJ Office of the Inspector General for their work in the investigation. Mr. Rosenstein thanked Assistant U.S. Attorney Tamera L. Fine, who prosecuted the case.

Hillary Clinton’s run-out-the-clock strategy

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 05:00 PM PDT

The Democrat aims to ignore the email and Foundation controversies, seeing a shrinking calendar as her friend.

She is not planning on sitting for another televised armchair confessional to rehash regrets about a private email server. Nor is the campaign setting up the kind of war room employed last year to discredit a book that aimed to expose a quid-pro-quo relationship between Clinton Foundation donors and State Department officials.

With 75 days until Election Day and new emails once again casting a pall over her campaign, Hillary Clinton aims to "run out the clock," confidants say, on the latest chapters of the overlapping controversies that have dogged her campaign since the start.

Mom Sees SICK Thing Teacher Gave Her Child, Sends “Special” Message Back

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 04:30 PM PDT

A mom in California discovered unsettling news of what her son has been taught in his seventh grade class. She's upset, and she has every reason to be.

When Tara Cali went to open up her son's history textbook to help with his homework, she noticed the lesson was all about Islam. For the actual homework assignment, students were asked to write down the "Pillars of Islam" and "Islamic Beliefs and Rituals."

That's not all though. There was even a code students could scan with their smart phone to hear a Muslim prayer in action.

Cali wrote an epic message back to the teacher on the actual worksheet. She was tremendously upset, and rightly so. Her son is being indoctrinated with Islam. Learning about other cultures is fine, but when a homework assignment is dedicated to learning Muslim prayers, something is wrong.

Emails show Clinton denied, then met with Ukrainian donor

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 04:00 PM PDT

Emails made public Tuesday show a Ukrainian businessman and major Clinton Foundation donor was invited to Hillary Clinton's home during the final year of her diplomatic tenure, despite her spokesman's insistence in 2014 that the donor never crossed paths with Clinton while she served as secretary of state.

Victor Pinchuk, who has given up to $25 million to the Clinton Foundation, appeared on the guest list that was sent between Dennis Cheng, an executive at the foundation, and Huma Abedin, then Clinton's deputy chief of staff at the State Department, ahead of a June 2012 dinner. Abedin noted in a subsequent email that the gathering would be hosted in Clinton's home.

Amid scrutiny of Clinton's ties to Pinchuk in 2014, the Democratic nominee's spokesman, Nick Merrill, said Pinchuk had never met with Clinton during that time. He told the New York Times that, "from Jan. 21, 2009, to Feb. 1, 2013," the Ukrainian businessman "was never on her schedule."

Merrill did not return a request for comment.

Los Angeles VA Hospital Lost 30 Cars, Then Fired Worker Who Reported It

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 03:30 PM PDT

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) bosses fired an employee for reporting a hospital lost 30 of its 88 vehicles and official credit cards intended for the fleet had been misused.

Robert Benkeser, manager at the Greater Los Angeles VA, fired whistle-blower Anthony Salazar after Salazar tried to bring the theft to light. The department convened an "administrative investigation board" (AIB) that resulted in "a letter of counseling" to Benkeser for mismanaging the motor pool. Benkeser then fired Salazar several months later.

he Office of Special Counsel (OSC), a government-wide agency that protects whistle-blowers, said earlier this month that VA blocked Salazar from showing that he was being retaliated against. The Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) imposed "an overly rigorous" standard of proof to show prohibited retaliation.

Rep. Mike Coffman, chairman of the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, demanded Aug. 18 to know what happened to the missing vehicles, how the AIB worked, and the position top VA management took before the MSPB in the matter of Salazar's job.

Look what just happened in WASHINGTON D.C. after minimum wage hike

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 02:30 PM PDT

Attempting to explain why hiking the minimum wage up to $15 an hour is a horrible idea to a liberal is about as frustrating as slamming your head against a brick wall — and just as pleasant.

Leftists refuse to acknowledge the universal facts of economics and continue believing in the fairy tale of total equality — monetarily speaking — that drives them to support measures such as the redistribution of wealth.

Well, perhaps they'll listen to the facts emerging from places where the minimum wage has been raised and is wreaking havoc on the employment rate…right in our nation's capital.

A new report indicates restaurants in D.C. are being hit super hard and are now losing eight jobs per DAY.

Truth Revolt is reporting, Thus far, Washington, D.C. has lost 1,400 jobs in just the last six months alone, many of them in the restaurant services industry. The Washington Free Beacon reports:

Ann Coulter says any Republican who works with Clinton is a 'traitor'

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 12:00 PM PDT

Donald Trump supporter and bestselling author Ann Coulter warned Wednesday that any Republican in Congress who works with President Hillary Clinton would be seen as a "traitor."

Her comments were made in an interview with the Washington Examiner, soon after Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, said that if Clinton were to win, he could see himself cutting a deal with her. "I've sat across the table with Hillary Clinton eye-to-eye, and when you're working outside of staff and outside of the press, she is somebody I can work with," he said in August.

But Coulter said it can't work that way.

"Any Republican who says he can work with Hillary Clinton is a traitor to the nation," she said. "It's finished."

Trump Slams Clinton Foundation As "Most Corrupt Enterprise In Political History" After Latest Donor Revelations

"It is now clear that the Clinton Foundation is the most corrupt enterprise in political history," Trump said in a statement, reiterating a claim he made earlier in the week. "We've now learned that a majority of the non-government people she met with as secretary of state gave money to the corrupt Clinton Foundation. ... It was wrong then, and it is wrong now -- and the foundation must be shut down immediately."

Governor Larry Hogan Commits Half-a-Million Dollars to Protect Children Traveling on School Buses

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 10:35 AM PDT

Grants Will Provide Additional Law Enforcement, Public Education Programs

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today announced that the state is providing more than $500,000 to local law enforcement agencies to help them enforce Maryland school bus safety laws. The grants will be used to pay for overtime for police officers who patrol streets when school buses are on the road, and for public education programs to inform the driving public about Maryland's law requiring drivers to stop when a school bus has stopped to pick up or drop off passengers.

"Maryland children are back to school, and many ride school buses every day to get to class," said Governor Larry Hogan."It's our job—as parents, grandparents, and government leaders—to be sure they are safe on their way to and from school."

Maryland law requires motorists to stop 20 feet behind or in front of a school bus that has its STOP arm down and lights flashing while loading or discharging students. Drivers who ignore the STOP arm and illegally drive past school buses could be fined and receive points on their driving records.

A one-day survey completed by the Maryland Department of Education last April found that school bus drivers recorded a total of 4,334 times that drivers illegally drove past school buses that had stopped on the road with the STOP arm down and lights flashing.

"You may be late for an appointment, you may be rushing to work, but there's no excuse to drive past a stopped school bus," said Glenn Fueston, executive director of the Governor's Office of Crime Control & Prevention, which administered the funding through the School Bus Safety Enforcement Fund. "Drivers must remember that speeding past a stopped school bus risks the lives of innocent children and bystanders."

Fifty agencies from 22 jurisdictions are receiving a total of $541,400 in state funding for school bus safety initiatives. The grants are listed below:
CountyAmount
Allegany$19,000.00
Anne Arundel$27,400.00
Baltimore County$35,000.00
Calvert$20,000.00
Caroline$3,000.00
Carroll$32,288.00
Cecil$14,000.00
Charles$23,000.00
Dorchester$35,000.00
Frederick$27,000.00
Garrett$27,000.00
Harford$29,000.00
Kent$16,000.00
Prince George's$24,000.00
Queen Anne's$27,000.00
Somerset$33,700.00
St. Mary's$28,000.00
Talbot$10,000.00
Washington$28,000.00
Wicomico$32,500.00
Worcester$25,512.00
TOTAL$541,400.00
Following the 2016 legislative session, Governor Hogan signed SB 83, which renamed the School Bus Safety Enforcement Fund to the School Safety Enforcement Fund. The legislation will expand the purposes of the Fund, provide localities with additional flexibility to address school safety needs, and allow county boards of education, in addition to law enforcement entities, to apply for the grants. The changes will take effect October 1, 2016, and will be incorporated into the next notice of funding availability for the program.

Should Louisiana’s Citizen Rescue Fleet, “Cajun Navy,” Face Government Regulation?

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 10:30 AM PDT

Not long ago I reported on the brave Louisiana residents who used their own boats and supplies, set out to rescue their fellow flood victims, and all without government involvement. They outperformed the government so well, in fact, that many were saved, fed, and received medical attention long before any government entity arrived. It's a testament to just how well Americans can take care of themselves, and each other, in a crisis, and without the helping hand of big brother.

These citizens that set out to help their fellow victims were called the "Cajun Navy," and their story has spread far and wide. They've been celebrated all over the country, and it's well deserved.

But it would appear that government wishes to regulate the Cajun Navy so that in the future, everything is done under the approval of the Louisiana government. Or at least, that's the rumor floating around.

Louisiana’s ‘Cajun Navy’ Is A 100% Volunteer Group That’s Helping Flood Victims

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 10:30 AM PDT

GONZALES, La. ― When the floodwaters began their rapid rise in southern Louisiana, residents fleeing to safety left with little more than the clothes on their backs. Others ― along with their pets, children and infirm relatives ― were left stranded and waiting for rescue.

More than a week and a half since the historic flooding began in the state, FEMA's on-the-ground response effort has earned mixed reviews from locals: Some argue it's nowhere near as flat-footed as the response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, while others judge the response as late.

"FEMA, they showed up today with boats to rescue people. Where the hell were they a week ago?" Jimmy Purvis, chairman of the Board of Directors of Parks and Recreation in Denham Springs, said on Friday.

But while FEMA was just gearing up, a group of people dubbed "The Cajun Navy" were already navigating the floodwaters to rescue stranded neighbors in the state.

Clinton's inescapable cloud of corruption

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 10:00 AM PDT

While many in the media have declared the presidential election all but over, damning accusations of pay to play at the Clinton Foundation and reports that the FBI found 15,000 work-related documents that Hillary Clinton failed to turn over represent the political land mines that still lie between her and the presidency. Multiple ongoing Freedom of Information Act civil suits, perjury allegations, an IRS probe and alleged joint U.S. Attorney-FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation represent the inescapable cloud of corruption that could be the Democratic nominee's undoing.

As the drip, drip, drip of information highlighting the intersection between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department surfaces, the political fallout for Hillary Clinton is unavoidable. The newly exposed emails demonstrate another lie told by the Clinton campaign. Despite her lawyers stating that only 30,000 emails on her server were related to work, the 15,000 puts that number closer to 45,000. But more importantly, it paints a clearer picture of what Hillary Clinton was attempting to hide by setting up private servers in the first place and attempting to wipe them clean.

The health problem Clinton actually has

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 09:53 AM PDT

The Internet is awash with rumors about Hillary Clinton's health, but there is one medical condition she is actually known to have.

That is hypothyroidism, a condition affecting about 10 million Americans in which the thyroid is underactive, resulting in a variety of symptoms including fatigue, weakness and weight gain.

For most patients, the symptoms can be significantly reduced or eliminated with the use of hormone therapy. Clinton is being treated with a medication called Armour Thyroid, according to her doctor, who has issued a letter saying she's in "excellent" physical condition and is fit to serve as president.

Yet Armour Thyroid is a less common medication used in patients with hypothyroidism, possibly indicating Clinton wasn't responding well to the conventional treatment.

"Hillary Clinton wants a totally open border. She wants catch and release. She wants Obamacare and other things for illegal immigrants. In many cases, more than our great veterans get," Trump said during the appearance in Austin, Texas.

An Interesting Comment Worthy Of A Post

When you work in the bubble that is the Executive's office, you think you are wildly popular and invincible apparently. They are all in for a rude awakening. Whenever I'm involved in a conversation and county government comes up, people are invariably negative and think Culver and his staff are out of touch with the majority of the people. He is certainly not living up to his campaign promises. You can tell the difference of someone who is working for the good of the people and one who is working to try and keep his job. You better hope the Democrats will vote for you Culver, because you are losing lots of Republican votes.

IOC reviews Old Bay as potential enhancement

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 09:30 AM PDT

MONTGOMERY COUNTY- MARYLAND: Concerns are growing that Old Bay Seafood Seasoning a Maryland staple, will be named a banned substance in future Olympic Games. Old Bay an immensely popular seasoning regularly found sitting on kitchen and restaurant tables in the Chesapeake Bay region. And fears are that it could determined to be a "performance enhancement" that allowed the Free State to stand out in representing the United States of America. What else could explain the phenomenal results delivered by eleven world class athletes?

The U.S. finished with 121 overall medals (46 gold, 37 silver and 38 bronze) and of the total Maryland brought home 14 gold medals, three silver and one bronze. Eight of the individual 14 medals came home to Montgomery County alone. This incredible showing has only five countries winning more medals than Maryland itself..

An awesome accomplishment for all the athletes and in particular the American participants.

On The Bizarre Media Blackout Of Hacked George Soros Documents

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 09:23 AM PDT

Scandal: Leaked documents released a few days ago provide juicy insider details of how a fabulously rich businessman has been using his money to influence elections in Europe, underwrite an extremist group, target U.S. citizens who disagreed with him, dictate foreign policy, and try to sway a Supreme Court ruling, among other things. Pretty compelling stuff, right?

Not if it involves leftist billionaire George Soros. In this case, the mainstream press couldn't care less.

On Saturday, a group called DC Leaks posted more than 2,500 documents going back to 2008 that it pilfered from Soros' Open Society Foundations' servers. Since then, the mainstream media have shown zero interest in this gold mine of information.

We couldn't find a single story on the New York Times, CNN, Washington Post, CBS News or other major news sites that even noted the existence of these leaked documents, let alone reported on what's in them.

Indeed, the only news organization that appears to be diligently sifting through all the documents is the conservative Daily Caller, which as a result has filed a series of eye-opening reports.

So what could possibly explain the mainstream media's disinterest?

Is the problem that the material is too boring or inconsequential? Hardly.

The essential question of 2016: What else is Hillary hiding?

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 09:15 AM PDT

For Hillary Clinton, the hits just keep on coming. Each day brings more evidence that she used her position as Secretary of State to recruit donors for the Clinton Foundation and rewarded them with government favors. The most recent batch of e-mails released under court order show that, in some cases, a hefty foundation "gift" was required just to get an audience with Madame Secretary.

Then there's the Associated Press report that half of her meetings involved foundation donors, and the separate 15,000 additional e-mails from her tenure that were discovered by the FBI. The developments mean there will be a drip, drip, drip of damning evidence all the way to November.

Yet the more we know about Hillary's dirty deeds, the less sense it all makes. Even as the slimy details pile up, the central mystery remains unresolved: Why?

Hillary's Corruption Is Overwhelming

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 09:07 AM PDT

After over two decades in the heart of America's spotlight, Hillary Clinton is still an unknown quantity for most Americans. That's thanks to one factor and one factor only: the love and worship of the mainstream media.

Over the weekend, no less than six terrible stories broke that would have crippled anyone else's campaign. First, we learned that Clinton aide and confidante Huma Abedin acted as assistant editor on the radical Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, where she greenlit pieces that stated that "pushing (mothers) out into the open labor market is a clear demonstration of a lack of respect of womanhood and motherhood," among other things.

Next, we found out that Clinton had blamed former Secretary of State Colin Powell for giving her the idea to set up a private email server at a dinner party, and that Powell not only denied giving her the idea but also denied ever having a dinner conversation with her on the topic. Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who Clinton claimed was present for the conversation, has also denied the story.

Then we discovered that the Clinton State Department oversaw some $6 billion in mismanagement, fraud and incompetence.

Milwaukee sheriff: Democrats want blacks 'on the plantation'

Democrats are "screwing around" in an effort to keep black voters "on the plantation," Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke said in a Thursday interview, after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump made a direct appeal to them in a speech in the Wisconsin city earlier this month.

Clarke, a black conservative Democrat, made the comments on the same day Hillary Clinton delivered a speech accusing Trump of racism and on which the Democratic presidential nominee's campaign released a video attempting to associate Donald Trump with members of the Ku Klux Klan.

FBI Admits Clinton Used Software Designed To "Prevent Recovery" And "Hide Traces Of" Deleted Emails

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 08:45 AM PDT

South Carolina Representative Trey Gowdy appeared on Fox News today and disclosed new details about the Clinton email scandal that seem to indicate intent to destroy evidence. Per the clip below, Gowdy reveals that Clinton used "BleachBit" to erase the "personal" emails from her private server.

For those not familiar with the software, BleachBit is intended to help users delete files in a way to "prevent recovery" and "hide traces of files deleted." Per the BleachBit website:

Beyond simply deleting files, BleachBit includes advanced features such as shredding files to prevent recovery, wiping free disk space to hide traces of files deleted by other applications, and vacuuming Firefox to make it faster.

During his appearance on Fox, Gowdy clearly indicates that Clinton's use of BleachBit undermines her claims that she only deleted innocuous "personal" emails from her private server.

"If she considered them to be personal, then she and her lawyers had those emails deleted. They didn't just push the delete button, they had them deleted where even God can't read them.

"They were using something called BleachBit. You don't use BleachBit for yoga emails."

"When you're using BleachBit, it is something you really do not want the world to see."

The property was listed earlier this month at $400,000, meaning you need at least $80,000 to put 20 percent down (as long as there isn't a bidding war) and call it your own.

Man Sentenced To Nearly 6 Years In Prison For Arson In 2015 Rioting

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 08:30 AM PDT

A Baltimore man was sentenced Wednesday to nearly six years in federal prison for the arson of a Baltimore food market during last spring's rioting that followed the funeral of Freddie Gray.

U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett sentenced Trevon Green, 23, to serve the term and three years of probation, prosecutors say, pursuant to a plea deal reached in July. Green also admitted to looting a liquor store and assaulting its owner.

"Trevon Green was not a protester, he was a criminal who enjoyed committing gratuitous violence," said U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein. "He looted a liquor store and kicked the defenseless store owner in the head, then he set fire to a food market. We caught him because police and prosecutors spent time reviewing recordings from cameras throughout the city."

Report: Kayla Mueller Defended Christian Faith Before ISIS Captors

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 08:07 AM PDT

Kayla Mueller, the American aid worker enslaved by the Islamic State for 18 months before she was killed during Jordanian airstrikes in early 2015, bravely defended her Christian faith in the face of her Islamic extremist captors, ABC News reports.

The 25-year-old Mueller was kept as a slave and was repeatedly raped by ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, according to her fellow captives who were interviewed by ABC for a program to be aired Friday on "20/20."

Danish freelance photographer Daniel Rye told ABC about how the captors, which included Brit Mohammed Emwazi, who was later named "Jihadi John" by the media, were nicknamed 'the Beatles' by the captives.

"One of the Beatles started to say, 'Oh this is Kayla and she has been held all by herself. And she is much stronger than you guys. And she's much smarter. She converted to Islam.' And then she was like, 'No, I didn't,'" Rye said.

He said he was surprised by Mueller's bravery.

"I would not have had the guts to say that. I don't think so," Rye said.

Assange: WikiLeaks Has Information About Both Presidential Candidates

WikiLeaks has "thousands of pages" to release in connection with the upcoming presidential election, and while a great deal of it is about Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, there is also some "information about the Republican campaign," website founder Julian Assange said Friday morning.

"The publicity as a result of our DNC publications, which caused the top five Democratic officials in the Democratic Party to resign, including the president Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has led to other sources being encouraged," Assange, speaking from the Ecuadorian embassy in London told Fox News' "Fox & Friends."

While there is also information about Trump, though, Assange said there would be few surprises because of the way Trump conducts his campaign.

"The problem with the Trump campaign it's hard for us to publish much [more] controversial material than what comes out of Donald Trump's mouth every second day," said Assange.

Zip line company says woman unhooked safety gear

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 07:30 AM PDT

DOVER — A Felton woman who fell 35 feet to her death from a zip line platform had disconnected herself from the safety system, the attraction's operator said Thursday.

Delaware State Police investigators are investigating how Tina Werner tumbled off the platform at the Go Ape Tree Top Adventure attraction in Lums Pond State Park on Wednesday.

Participants at Go Ape courses are equipped with climbing harnesses and two sets of ropes with carabiners that they unclip and clip to safety wires in sequence as they move through the trees.

Werner, 59, of Felton, had completed the required safety training, and was nearing the end of the course when she fell, said Jeff Davis, a spokesman for Go Ape. The attraction in Bear spans seven acres and includes four zip lines and a variety of swings, rope ladders, bridges and trapezes.

"Participant witnesses have stated that at the time of the accident the participant had unfortunately disconnected herself from the safety system," Davis said in an email.

Here's How Hillary Clinton Deleted Emails

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 07:15 AM PDT

Hillary Clinton's team of aides and lawyers deleted emails from her private server using a software program intended to "prevent recovery" and hide traces of deleted files.

South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy revealed the information during an interview on Thursday on Fox News. Citing notes that FBI investigators took during their probe of Clinton's private email server, Gowdy said that Clinton's team used open source software called BleachBit to remove tens of thousands of emails from her server.

Gowdy said that the use of the program undermines Clinton's claims that the emails she withheld from the State Department were innocuous. The former secretary of state has frequently said that the 30,000-plus emails she decided not to give the State Department in Dec. 2014 were about yoga routines and her daughter's wedding plans.

Heather Samuelson, a longtime Clinton aide and former State Department official, oversaw the review of Clinton's emails before they were given to the State Department. Clinton lawyer David Kendall and her former chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, oversaw the process.

Harry Reid calls mother of Benghazi victim 'crazy,' then retracts it

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 06:53 AM PDT

Sen. Harry Reid, who led Democrats to a Senate majority and then back into the minority, triggered the nuclear option to change Senate rules and used a special budget tactic to get Obamacare passed, told a Nevada newspaper not to blame him for partisanship in Washington.

In an extensive interview with the Reno Gazette-Journal he also called Patricia Smith, the mother of a State Department employee slain in the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack, "crazy" for her speech at the GOP convention questioning Hillary Clinton's behavior. Mr. Reid then tried to tack back that characterization and instead accusedMrs. Smith of lack of accuracy."

And Mr. Reid defended his demonstrably false attack on 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney, who he said didn't pay income taxes, as true according to his own version of things.

"I tell the truth," he told the Reno newspaper, before correcting himself: "It may not be the truth, it's how I feel."

"I knew that he had a problem with his tax returns, okay? I went to the White House, he was running for re-election, do something about the DNC. I didn't want to do that. No one else would do it, so I did it. I'm glad I did it."

Peter Schweizer: More Emails to Come Showing Hillary Clinton's 'State Dept. Doing Favors for Foreign Oligarchs'

Peter Schweizer, author ofClinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich, joined SiriusXM host Matt Boyle on Wednesday's Breitbart News Daily to discuss the revelation that more than half the people Hillary Clinton met with as secretary of state were donors to her Clinton Foundation.

"I think we've known the road map for a long time, Matt. It's 'follow the money' with the Clintons," said Schweizer. "I think that this has kind of brought into relief exactly what the street names are on that map, and where they lead."

Schweizer said:

What you find is that Hillary Clinton, who is America's chief diplomat, whose focus is supposed to be enhancing our national security and our foreign policy, is actually engaged in the sort of grimiest elements of politics, which is doing favors and taking phone calls from people who put money in your pocket. That's where we spent four years, while she was secretary of state.

But of the emails Abedin exchanged on her personal email accounts with non-State Department employees, the State Department has only released records up through July 26, 2009.

Cummings Expresses Concern, Requests Briefing On Police Flights

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 06:30 AM PDT

Rep. Elijah Cummings, whose district includes most of Baltimore, said that the secrecy of the surveillance flights commissioned by Baltimore police since January wasn't just troubling, but potentially counter-productive.

"If the police department is claiming--and they may be right--that this would prevent crime and help to solve crime, why did it have to be a secret?" Cummings said. "As a matter of fact, it would probably be better if they were to have a program that people know that they are being viewed."

He said he needed to study the issue more, and has requested a briefing from police Commissioner Kevin Davis. He suggested the legal issues surrounding the flights may one day end up on Capitol Hill in front of the House Committee on Government Reform, on which he is the top Democrat. He said the revelations were particularly troubling just weeks after the release of the U.S. Department of Justice report on Baltimore policing. The report accused officers of systemic constitutional violations.

Steve Shapiro, the American University law student who filed the lawsuit, argues the map violates the rights of 6th District Republican voters to political expression and association. The suit asks the map not be used in future elections, but the lawsuit won't affect this November's elections.

Giuliani: The Clinton Foundation Scandal Is 'Going To Be Bigger Than Watergate'

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 05:30 AM PDT

Rudy Giuliani said on Wednesday that the scandal involving the Clinton Foundation and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is "going to be bigger than Watergate."

Speaking at a campaign rally for Donald Trump in Tampa, Florida, Giuliani said, "I am more than willing to predict, when the history of our day is written, the scandal you are watching unfold is going to be like the Teapot Dome scandal in the 1920's and maybe bigger. It's going to be bigger than Watergate."

"Nixon had to leave office and he did a lot of bad things, but it wasn't raking in millions and millions of dollars through a phony charity," Giuliani said. "I'm not sure how much money was involved in the Teapot dome, but I bet it could not have been much more than the hundreds of millions of dollars the Clintons have been getting and turning the State Department into a pay-for-play operation."

"Back in the 20's and in the Nixon era, well you couldn't destroy emails because there were no emails and I guess next and just wasn't as shrewd as Hillary," Giuliani said. "He never destroyed those tapes. Nixon didn't destroy the tapes. He kept them. You know what the Clintons must be saying? 'What a jerk that next that Nixon was.' You really want to be a criminal, you destroy the evidence."

VISIT MARYLAND’S NATIONAL PARKS FOR FREE

Summer vacation might be ending, but there is still time to squeeze in one last trip with the entire family. This weekend, wrap up the season by visiting one of Maryland's 18 national parks for free.

In honor of the National Park Service 100 year anniversary, parks across the country are offering free admission from August 25-28. From the historic Antietam National Battlefield in Western Maryland, to Baltimore's star-spangled Fort McHenry, to Assateague Island and its famous wild ponies on our Eastern Shore – Maryland's parks and programs have something to offer everyone.

"National parks in Maryland drew more than 6.4 million people last year alone," said Commerce Secretary Mike Gill. "These attractions provide recreational activities, history lessons, and unique experiences for residents and visitors alike – and, as an added benefit, have a significant impact on Maryland's economy."

The National Park Service was created in 1916 to conserve the scenery, historic objects, and wildlife across the country. President Woodrow Wilson signed the act in order to protect the nation's natural landmarks and provide enjoyment for future generations. Today there are 59 national parks covering more than 84 million acres in the U.S.

U.S. military drills on American streets and roads, on public lands and in cities and towns long have prompted fears that the federal government is preparing to impose martial law.

Military vehicles are suspect whenever they're in public, with or without cause, and suspicions have been fueled by recent massive federal power grabs such as Obamacare.

The spark came from an image that purports to be from Fort Carson.

The stationery is labeled "Department of the Army, Headquarters, 4th Infantry," and it is described as a "Memorandum for the Record."

The subject?
